nail is behind the box...at the left side from the bed. it is the box with the 9 pics on it. I clicked there and it shows the back side, with the crow..I removed the nails

Tried this on flower box, both up and down. Can't see how it relates to the numbers on bottom left pic as there is no 0.
There are 2 books on the shelf behind on of the bed, but it's all in Japanese.
Clue in other shelf. 2 point(2 triangle) star + turtle = 5 point star.

You can go up the pole. There's a silhouette on the wall and a ghost girl. Put the nails and the dagger on the silhouette and it started bleeding :(

In the basement if you gave the dg the first ring on the 2nd row it walks and shows you a diagram with a code. You input the code (99x99...) and it gives you a pink two g=headed puppy...
two more blues and now a red one, must be the wrong one. looks like it's the first ring and doesn't burn

@Martina: i made the dog walk, he showed me a diagram on the floor, a hit it and there was a password case, I input 9801 and a pink puppy showed up (with 2 heads). Now I don't know what to do next

This candle is driving me nuts. I try to put the nails on then it shows in the inventory that only 3 nails and candle have combined. If I click again the nails are on their own.
Ican take the symbols from the diagram! what for? maybe new order? must have something to do with symbols upstairs.

Hello, I put code 9801 when I saw puppy and floor sign and got 5 grey watermelons of different sizes. When I click on them, I am asked for a code but I don't know what to put. I tried entering 99 x 99 (no spaces) and it did nothing. I tried typing the word you gave us and nothing. Stuck!

I restarted a second time after my room became dark that i cannot do anything anymore. I have no nails either and i did not see a silhouette...i think i will give up.
You type Japanese with an IME program.
They first time I input ちょうちょ but I'm thinking the first time you give the code for the floor diagram, it can be anything as long as it was mentioned in the dialogue/text. The code you have to give after the first one is the real code.
OK, seems the ghost is happy when you give her some things more than others, e.g. the candle makes her sing longer... does that help anyone?
@zazie, you don't have to restart, just click the lever once again and the rom gets bright again

When u give her all things from inventory she sings but when u give her candle she dissapiers
zazie, left to the bed there is a picture. behind it are nails, get them with the crowbar. and you always get another ring by feeding the silly bird with the key. search for the rings, they must be there (I had the trouble, too)

When you highlight the dagger and talk to the ghost s/he tells you his/her name is Kiki, as in the character from the story in the yellow book. S/he appears after you make the silhouette bleed because in the story s/he is known is "blood-stained Kiki".

I should clarify, ちょうちょ is not the second code we need... in fact it may not be a code at all. Everyone put something different and got something else from the floor diagram. It's not certain you need to input a Japanese language code for the second time...

I give up as well, I read both the books and they don't seem to give me any good leads to any codes.
Green book is about the escapee's brother wanting to plant a garden, and mentions a flower with a blue inner which is poisonous.
Yellow book is the history of the household. The ghost is the Kiki in the book and he was a real bastard when he ruled.

Second code looks like it combines, the hints from the 3 pics.
I don't know. When you put in the first code, the flowers fall around the girl I wonder if that's a clue for the flower box.
I can't see the floor diagram any more. I'm going to have to leave this for now and probably start again.
But ideas for codes. The diagram had the same symbols as the fallen pic. If you match the symbols to the numbers on the bottom right pic, does that give a number?
Maybe giving different rings to the girl might do something?

I started the game again. This time I took a screen shot of the floor diagram.
I've tried replacing numbers in the diagram to see if that makes any sense. Can't think of anything.
When I enter the first code the character that appears is different to last time.

Last time when I entered 9801, a girl appeared and the space for the 2nd code. This time a boy appeared in a big sack. That's just what he says when I clicked. Basically he's saying enter the code.
The symbols on the floor diagram are the same as the ones on the picture that we got the nails from. Then on the other wall theres a grid with numbers in it. I drew the floor diagram, matched the numbers to the symbols then put the numbers in to see if anything worked out.
i had boy last time now its a girl..i drew too diagram but cant figure it out...stupid game!
lol i put 9999 in and got a brown monster and its still asking me for a code which i dont know. i dont think you have to put 9801 in, i think it can be anything, but the thing that is summoned is always different? dont understand why. perhaps it depends on how you arrange the tiles before summoning a creature, but now i cant put the tiles back in because the brown monster is blocking the way

I used the numbers for the shapes as per the pictures upstairs and got 62419 but when I entered it again I got the grey watermelons. Seems nobody can go further in this game and that is so disappointing. Can anyone find the author and demand a hint? LOL
This is a complicated and difficult game even if you understand Japanese.
You have to type Japanese hiragana in text box and solve some hard Japanese riddles.
You have to talk with the ghost boy KIKI with Japanese in order to know
how to summon the correct monster/fairy, vanish the wrong ones and the crucial clues.
if you enter "かえす" to the boy you will get the spell(it's is a random word) to unsummon the wrong monster/fairy.
eg)
かえれのれ
すてるすねこ
etc
Again there is a serious language barrier for those who can't understand/type Japanese.

Thanks Xenon. But I can't understand why EG24 is publishing games that cannot be solved by non native speakers of Japanese. There is a lot of us who spent an inordinate amount of time in here today trying to figure this game out - we are talking hours!
There should have been a warning with this game that language barrier IS a problem.
