I got all of the panels on, and the wall moved. Leave a number note on, in the lab and use it on the panels. Try the numbers for different panels.

    ReplyDelete

  51. Good luck everyone who will start this game from now. There are more than 400 comments and I don´t think anyone is willing to write a WT. Or maybe Ellie? or somebody else...

    ReplyDelete
  57. @Mina: place on code on the scanner - note this one and leave it on there! Then go to the code-wall and try it on all 5 code-boxes. It will work on one of them and this one´s light will turn on.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Ellie well I don´t know about the first hour. Remember I was so desperate that i wrote my own code for bankcard...;)

    ReplyDelete
  59. where is the key for the lab?

    ReplyDelete
  60. lol @Madde, you don't want to know the strange things i tried.
I'd love to write a WT, but it will take me many hours. Starting on one, but don't expect it to be out soon. Anyone else that wants to write can do so as well, I don't mind many walkthroughs.

    @mina, yes I mean redlighted.

    ReplyDelete
  61. @edgar: recent comments? Never saw that function. Useful thing. Well see you at another live game I hope! Hardly catch live ones anymore though...maybe suicunes.

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Evelyn, I don't remember right now, but I think it was the key from the red book that worked for the lab.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hi Madde! Tried to put the gas everywhere but it won´t go!
The hole you mean is the window itself, or there´s a hole anywhere I can´t find?

    ReplyDelete
  64. You´re great Ellie if you write a WT. As you say- it will take hours but I know people gonna need it. Many hugs for all help to you and everybody else.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  70. @Ellie: you're right!! There were two in the dark room. Got it!!

    ReplyDelete
  71. You should have 1 item left in your inventory. Use belt with rope to get down and out...

  80. I'm a bit of a lurker, play but don't comment as I don't normally catch live games but I've found something! Click on the knob on the stairs (when downstairs), you can turn it round when zoomed in. When you go back upstairs the secret way has become all colourful :) Not sure what you can do from there but thought I'd share KY x

  82. @yellowshoelace76: Have you got to the part of the 5 number pads on the wall?

    ReplyDelete
  83. @verito no wat is that

    ReplyDelete
  84. And out, at last. Thanks for all the help.

Got caught up in the 'no posting" by not realizing the comments had gone to a 3rd page. I kept refreshing the 2nd page and was at a total loss for the 5 digital locks.

Party for Dare House escapers @ Rainy Day game.
Navigation over there is a drawback, but doable.

Trisana is there and let me know about being able to post here again. See ya...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Had to use left arrow on inventory to find "hidden" piece of wood. Once I'd launched that I could use the petrol and now I'm out.

140min 34s - that's part of my life I'll never get back - but a very good game!!

    Thanks everyone. x

  86. @clobomamma Thank you so much for making the same mistake I did! I would have been here forever if you hadn't posted that.

Good game, but crap to do if sleep deprived. I'm gonna give my brain a rest for a few days.

  89. Using petrol is a pixel hunt!
Use it about 1/3 from the bottom, in the middle of screen. Hard to find!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Played it again. It only took 10 min. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  91. @Edgar, I use Firefox on a Mac so that doesn't work for me. It's not the zoom within the Firefox window, it's the zoom within the game window itself that's the problem. I've noticed a similar problem on a few games lately so I think there may be something in the last Firefox update which has caused some incompatibility.

  92. Just started.
Ha, and the picture in livingroom are the Cleavers from the show "Leave It To Beaver"
    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  93. @ Knotaklu, There is a pic of "Wally and the Beav" upstairs also. I just wonder which of them had the bedroom with the elevator...

    ReplyDelete
  94. @yellowshoelace76: when you're on the living room you see the stair, you have to click on the wooden ball of the railing to make it turn around, that will make a big painting appear on one of the walls upstairs.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Just lost my inventory!!
    Anyone still playing?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think we're all about done, but what do you need help with, Knotaklu?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Wait...so the man drives up in a Fastback and takes the kid?

What the heck is the kid doing out that late anyway, is he an orphan?

The guy was just doing him a favor. Getting ruffians off the street and all! =P

  98. apparently, Catalyste. I dunno.

  101. WALKTHROUGH, part 1
I got out with lots of help from other players. I can’t name them all, but THANK YOU for the help and company (especially when being stuck in the beginning lol)!
Special thanks @Yalcin for posting and helping with the first (impossible) code!

In this walkthrough I won’t tell you to zoom out after you have zoomed in on something, but you should always do that to be able to continue (I’m pretty sure that you understand that lol).
Neither will i tell exact directions all the time or where to find all of the navigation arrows. They can be tricky to find, but just move your cursor around the edges of the views. They are mostly in one of the corners.

Zoom on the pillow in the lower bed.
Click on it to get a key.
Zoom on the toy car on the floor to the left of the desk.
Click on the left part of it to turn it around and use the key in the keyhole.
Zoom on the lower right side of the desk and take the newspaper.
Click on the door to the right to enter the bathroom.
Zoom on the toilet to get a paper bit.
Click on the door to the left.
Turn left (navigation arrow in the lower left corner).
Zoom on the lowest part of the bookshelf to see a piggy bank, but leave it for now.
Time to solve the code for the panel by the door!
You need to open the newspaper from the inventory to get the code to work and there is where you get the hint for it. It isn’t logical at all, and the only way we solved it was Yalcin telling us (thanks!).
    Solution below.
When the right code is used, the door opens.
Zoom out and enter the next room.

Zoom on the upper painting and press the book in the hand. This makes the book move into the room on the other side of the wall.
Click on the second door from the right to open it and enter the Kitchen.
Click on the lower left corner of the locker below the stove to zoom. Get a cork from the floor.
There is an elevator to the left, and the switch in the back wall to the right of the elevator makes it move.
Zoom on the switch and click to make the elevator go up (you’ll need it up later on).
Click on the door in the back to open it and enter the Dining Room.
Click on the first chair to the left to zoom and get an acid bottle.
Go back to the kitchen and click to the left to go back to the main room.

Zoom on the left side of the stairs, above the grey safe to get a key.
Zoom on the closed door to the left.
Use the key from the stairs on the door to open.
It’s dark inside, so leave it for now.
Zoom on the right part of the stairs, and use the up arrow to go to the second floor.

    Second Floor
Turn right (arrow in the middle of the sceen, to the right of the stairs).
4 doors here. The two left ones need codes and the third from the left will never be used.
You can also move left before the left door (navigation arrow below the ”hole in the wall”) to see a secret way.
Click on the right door to open and enter the Library.
Zoom on the clock and note the way the arms point.
Zoom on the books in the lowest shelf to the right.
Take the red book. The red book is only there after you click on the book in the upper painting downstairs.
Open the red book from inventory and turn the pages to see two scales.
Move the red arrows to the right numbers to get a key. Solution below.
    Exit the library.
Go down and zoom on the door in front of the stairs.
Use the key from the red book to open.

    Enter the Laboratory.
Get a piece of wood from the floor to the right of the cupboards by the back wall.
Get a finger print from the back right corner of the table.
Get a fuse from the front left corner of the desk.
Zoom on the floor by the lower left side of the table to get a fuse wire.
Click on the fuse in your inventory to open it, and put the fuse wire on the top part of it.
Exit the laboratory and go downstairs.

    ReplyDelete
  102. WALKTHROUGH, part 2
    Downstairs
Click on the door in the right corner to zoom on a scanner.
Use the finger print on the scanner to open the door.
Zoom out and click on the door to enter the Garage.
Get 2 pieces of wood from the floor below the shelves.
Click below the lower left corner of the car window to zoom on the left side of the car. Get a petrol can.
Click under the door of the car, to the right of the wheel, to zoom and get a metal piece.
Zoom on the stairs and zoom once more on the right side of the steps (on the ”wall of the railing”).
    Get an L-shaped rod.
Turn right (using the navigation arrow in the upper right corner).
Click on the switch to put it in UP position.
Put your fuse (with fuse wire on) to the right, where a fuse is missing.
Turn the switch to DOWN position.
This makes the lights turn on in the dark room by the stairs.
Click down and then left to exit the garage.

Enter the door to the left of the stairs. The lights are now turned on.
Get a piece of wood from the floor to the right of the tall cupboard.
Open the left of the three smaller lockers by the back wall to get another piece of wood.
Zoom on the hole, on top of the right side of the low cupboard by the back wall. Get a rope.
Zoom on the glass cover in the cupboard to the right.
Use the L-shaped rod to break the glass and get a key.
Go down to exit this room.

Enter the kitchen through the second door to the right.
Zoom on the small cupboard on the wall in the upper right corner.
Use the key that you got from breaking the glass cupboard to open the door and get a candle.
    Go upstairs again.

    Second Floor
You are now going to get a code to open the left of the four doors by doing things in the laboratory.
    Enter the laboratory.
Zoom on the basin (the grey ”bowl/tray”) by the back wall.
Click to the right of it to see it from outside.
Put the cork in the hole.
Click on the left side of it to see it from inside again.
Use your acid bottle to pour acid into the basin.
Put the steel piece in the acid.
Click on the right side of the basin again and click to remove the cork.
Look inside the basin and take the steel piece.
Click on the steel piece in your inventory to see a number: 236.
    Exit the laboratory.
    Move right.

    Zoom on the left door.
Enter the number from the steel piece to unlock the door.
This only works after you have opened the steel piece with the number from your inventory.
Click to enter the Bed Room.
There should be an elevator to the left with a key on top. If not, you need to go down to the kitchen and press the white switch in the back wall to make the elevator go up.
Zoom on the elevator and take the key.
Zoom on the drawers in the top part of the cupboard to the right.
Open the drawer to get a lighter.
Open the candle from the inventory and use the lighter on the candle to make it burn.
    Go downstairs.

    Downstairs
Click on the door to the far left to go back to the first room.
Zoom on the lower shelf to the right of the couch to see the piggy bank.
Use the candle on the piggy.
Use the L-shaped rod to break the piggy and get a hook.
Go back into the main room below the stairs, the through the far right door to the garage.
Click on the far right window of the car to see a view from inside it.
Use the hook to unlock the carsafe and get a key.
    Go back upstairs.

    ReplyDelete
  103. WALKTHROUGH, part 3
    Second Floor
Turn right and enter the Bed Room (door to the left).
Zoom on the cupboard to the right and use the key from the carsafe to open it.
Zoom on the clothes to get a note book.
Click on the square in the bottom part of the wardrobe to zoom.
Click again to open a secret locker and get a briefcase.
Open the briefcase from inventory and use the key from the elevator on it to get 5 photographic plates.
Open the notebook to read two pages with equations.
Exit the Bed Room and use the first page in the notebook to get the code for the second door from the left. Solution below.

When the door is open, enter into another bedroom.
Zoom on the upper side of the bed to get a belt.
Click on the picture on the right wall to zoom on it.
It’s all dark, but if you use your candle on the picture you see three numbers there.
Leave the room and move downstairs.

    Downstairs
Zoom on the grey safe under the stairs.
Move the grey ”handles” of the wheels and place them in the correct positions, and enter a 3-digit number code in the lower right corner to open the safe. Solution below.
    *HINTCLOCKANDNOTEBOOKANDPICTUREHINT*
When the safe opens you see a clock with the time 6:15.
Zoom out and zoom on the clock.
Move the short arm to 6 (30) and the long arm to 3 (15) and make sure they sticks there (you might need to move them a little at a time to find the exact spots).
    Zoom out.
The lower painting changes, zoom on it.
Click on the eyes of the man in the painting to get a sheet.

Zoom on the round know/ball (newel post) on the railing halfway up the stairs.
Click on it to turn it around.
    Remember the secret way upstairs?
The turning of the knob makes a painting appear there.

    Second Floor
Turn right and then left, into the secret way that now has a painting.
Place the sheet you got from the painting downstairs in the square in the right door in the painting.
The painting moves to reveal five code panels.
Click down twice and enter the laboratory.
Zoom on the ray machine to the left on the table.
Press the switch to turn it on.
Place one of your photographic plates on the machine to see five numbers.
Leave the plate on the machine and go to the code panels in the secret way.
Use the number from the plate on the panels. You have to try it on all the panels until you find the right one. When correct the red lamp should be turned on to show a red light. This only works when the photographic plate is still on the ray machine.
Do the same for the other four photographic plates (click on the used plate to remove it first) until you have a red shining light on all the panels.

The wall should now disappear and reveal a deep hole instead.
Click inside the hole and then throw all of your five pieces of wood down there.
Use the petrol can in the hole (on the lower/middle part of the view).
Use your burning candle in the hole (on the lower part of the back wall).
Click on the belt in the inventory to open it.
Add the rope to the belt.
Use the belt/rope in the hole and click one more time to escape.

    Congratulations!!!

  104. SOLUTIONS
    First door code
In the newspaper you see the date 13 and year 1957.
Use this as a code but you need another number as a space between them.
    Trial and error gave: 1351957

    Scales in the red book
Use the clue from the note you got from the toilet: 24x7.
Put the left red arrow at 24.
Put the right red arrow at 7.

    Door code from notebook
When you use the numbers by the symbols (triangle, circle and c) and put them in the equation you get: 143x35x488. The answer gives you your code. You need to read the notebook for the code to work.
    Code: 2442440

    Grey safe
The ”handles” of the wheels should point like the clock in the library.
Put the short one at 10 o’clock position.
Put the long one at almost 2 o’clock.
They should stick in those positions when you have them correctly placed. Move them a little at a time to find the right spots. This is only possible after you have seen the numbers on the dark picture in the second bedroom upstairs.

The number code is from using the second page in the notebook together with the numbers from the dark picture, 777.
The equation in the book is:
    ?+1+?+?= +CA
    Use 7 as the ?
    This gives you: 7+1+7+7= 22
Then you need to add CA, which is 818 (told in the book).
    22+818=840
    Code: 840

  105. Ellie - I think that either that first code or the paper had a typo - either MAY (instead of March) or 3 instead of that 5. . .

Thanks for doing the WT so I didn't have to! :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Apparently besides having mastery of time and space I have mastery of bad timing..
Thanks for the WT @Ellie :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. Peke, you turning into a Time Lord on us? :P

    ReplyDelete
  108. This game was one of the best games I've ever played despite of the first code. I enjoyed every single minute of it with the company of you all... except the minutes I had to be away anyway, lol.
And excellent @Ellie's WT is the best cherry on top I could have ever asked for. Thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. lol @Trisana..
    That was good :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. Well, you've been asking for it. And a new ep DID come out today. I need to go watch that . . .

    ReplyDelete
  111. Thanks for your nice words!!

@Tris, I thought so too, it must be a typo (and what a typo - kept us busy for an hour!). We never would have found that one out :)

I thought that the second code in the notebook was a bit strange as well, it would have been better to write it: ?+1+?+?+CA=. Well, we (Eisa) got it anyway.

    An excellent game!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hi@Ellie
Came back to try the game again but don't want to use your W/T just yet (no offense).
I do want to know if anyone lost their inventory like I did and what to do about it.
Don't want to lose an other couple of hours on this game.

    ReplyDelete
  113. @Knotaklu,
I appreciate that you don't go directly to the walkthrough. I hope you won't need it at all :)

I didn't hear of anyone else loosing the inventory. Are you sure that you didn't just turn it away with your arrows to the left and right of the inventory? Maybe it's still there?

    ReplyDelete
  114. where is the key in the stairs i cant find it

    ReplyDelete
  115. @clauzenmaaxs
You need to zoom in the upper left part of the stairs to see that key.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Thank you Ellie! Goodness that was hard!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I loved this game it was fun! and Ellie you write the best help for everyone to understand. I just needed a few clues and an hour long escape that's cool ...I wouldn't have trusted the belt myself maybe if I was a kid hehe good job everyone :-)

    ReplyDelete
  118. I am glad that most of you like the game. And Ellie, thanks for your great walkthrough =)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Are you still here?? Can´t make fuse to work on fusebox

    ReplyDelete
  120. @lorep, you need to have the lever in up-position, then add the fuse to the right side of the box. Before that you need to add the fuse wire to the fuse.

yw @Yalcin :) The game was great!

    ReplyDelete
  121. @Yalcin - the game was great, except for the code to get out of that first room. Was it a typo or just a miscue on our part? But thanks for the clue on it, earlier.

Loved the game! I can't wait for more from you, they're a blast. Maybe make the navigation arrows easier to find, though, in the future? Some of the screens were hard to find at first, and harder to find again when I had the items I needed.

    ReplyDelete
  122. After spending half of yesterday on this game, I woke up wondering if anyone had discovered any logic behind the first code. So apparently an error.
But it was a great game after that though couldn't have finished without the help of all of you.
    And @Ellie - great walkthrough!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. I was about to give up until Yalcin saved us. Took several hours, but I got to about half way and exhausted and then Ellie came through with WT. THANKS ELLIE!!! I finally finished with your help.

Loved this EXCELLENT game! A true escape game and lots of fun and great puzzles.

    ReplyDelete
  126. cant find the dark room plzz helpppppppp meee

    ReplyDelete
  127. abovereality, it's in the main room, the left wall, upper door. If you fixed the fuse, it isn't dark - it's got a glass cabinet and a bunch of books on the floor.

or, do you mean for the photo plates? Those get used on the ray table in the lab, you don't have to develop them.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Trisana, I see you're still lurking about.
Good thing you didn't leave early in the game yesterday when you said you going to.

    ReplyDelete
  129. and the piggy bank ? where it is ?

    ReplyDelete
  130. I was going to, Bumjelly, then Yalcin got us out of that first room. I couldn't leave THEN! The game was afoot.

Abovereality - remember that first room? The one you started in? (Foyer, lower left door). There's a bookshelf with trophies in the door view, click the lower left corner of that shelf.
Could you let us know when you find it, so we know if we have to explain ourselves more?

    ReplyDelete
  131. man, that was a game in a half....i wouldn't of gotten through it without everyone's help...thank you very much...

    ReplyDelete
  132. 44 minutes with walkthrough...

    ReplyDelete
  133. @ Ellie Where exactly is the L-rod?!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Meredith, Zoom in on the stairs in the garage (around the third step? I think), then click above the hand rail. That will change your view so you see an L-shaped pipe.

    ReplyDelete
  135. thanks for all the HELP!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  136. really great to be able to play a longer escape game! however the number codes from the notebook really tripped me up and also for the life of me couldn't find that l shaped pipe for such a long long time and thousands of clicks!!!!!! Many thks to my e24 w/t writers for helping me escape!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  137. wowww ive been confused in a lot of games over the years here....but never ever so confused and stuck as much in one single game...this one is tough..ill have to come back and try again tomorow..my brain is sleeping...good luck escaper's..night night xx

    ReplyDelete
  138. the code for the door is 1351957

    ReplyDelete
  139. cork works in the basin in the lab. you need a different view of the hole for the cork!

    ReplyDelete
  140. well, i saw something falling from the man's picture, then clicked his eye, but no sheet!! I don't want to restart... ;) did anyone else have the problem?? (rest of the inventory is still there)

    ReplyDelete
  141. @ leithan, it was a red book and it ends up in another room upstairs. It's important to find it.
It contains a puzzle you already have the clue for...

    ReplyDelete
  142. Bumjelly, thanks, but I don't mean the red book, but the sheet that should fall down when you click on man's eye... it's not in the lab in any case! and not in the inventory...

    ReplyDelete
  143. sorry, I mean it's not in the study room!

    ReplyDelete
  144. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  145. @leithian, you need to click on both of the eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Ellie, thanks, I feel very stupid.... ;) didn't realise you could click both of them!

    ReplyDelete
  147. well, serves me right for wanting to escape without your walkthrough, Ellie! ;) thanks again!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Sorry about that. Confusion on my part, I see that I need to have my coffee before posting.

Glad to see other, more alert, game finishers still lurking. What a great game. One of the better ones in a while. It's hard to not keep checking back on this one...

    ReplyDelete
  149. lol @leithian, I think the best way is to try without using the walkthrough! Good luck with the rest!

@Bumjelly, I agree... it's hard to leave the good games behind lol.

  150. Game creator told me about first locker:

"The solution 1351957 is given based on the puzzle. In that, 13 and 1957 is displayed as numbers in in the paper hint itself. And the number '5' is given based on kids kidnapping story line which is explained in introduction. So, we calculate age gap between scientist's two kids. It is 2 and the car get crashed on 3rd month(March). If you add 2 (age gap) and 3 (month), you will get answer 5. And it is used in between 13 and 1957 as it indirectly indicates the present month of the year. In the paper hint, we have mentioned 2, 3 and 5 many times in order to make users aware of those numbers and its usage in the game but most of them, used 24x7 more number of times and complicated. We have given it as mixed puzzle."

    ReplyDelete
  151. Thanks Yalcin. It's good to have an explanation.

    ReplyDelete
  152. The fuse was in the lab...

I have a wire placed on my fuse but it won't go in to fuse box....

    ReplyDelete
  153. Yalcin, thanks for the explaination.
For me, I'm not complaining in any fashion, but I think that it's just a little too far of a leap of logic to make that kind of a connection. Especially at the begining of the game.
It totally stumped the best and brightest that frequent this site. Xenon might have worked it out, maybe.
Perhaps the creator just gave us too much credit for being able to get to that point.

This is still one of the better games posted here in a while. Rates up there with MOTAS, the Daymare Town games, the Submachine games, Tesshi games, etc. Once again, well done.

    ReplyDelete
  154. What a great game!! I hope we see more from this creator!

@ellie...there were a few places that were very difficult to find and when I finally gave in and peeked at your WT, you helped immensely :) thank you so much!!! that key on the stairs took quite a few clicks, even with your excellent description of where to find it...most of the codes were fairly logical and made sense; however, the 1351957 code was a stretch ... lol!!! Yalcin's clue about adding a number between 13 and 1957 was trial and error when the obvious *well...i thought it was obvious* month of march didn't work..haha!!! Well done Ellie :)

@Yalcin...thank you for your hint about that first code...also the explanation of why. One learns to use logic *outside* the box in these games, but my mind would not have gone in that direction :) I want more of this type of game :)

    ReplyDelete
  155. @Hey Holly, for you to be able to put the fuse, the lever has to be up. Move it back down when the fuse is set.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Thank you very much for your kind words @irishenigma!! I'm glad that I didn't confuse your mind like I did in the Eniguma game...lol. I know, you claim that there was nothing wrong with my explanations, but remember the importance of blaming someone else :)

Thanks for the explanation of the first code @Yalcin!! Finally, the game is completely solved :)
Adding age difference to month... nope, I would never ever have figured that out lol.

Thank you @everybody else as well for your nice words!!

  158. Wow this one was very involved and complicated, I loved it! It took me over 2 hours to get out... thanks for the hints, everyone :) Probably would have taken me 5 without them! I agree with bumjelly that the logic behind the first door was a little too complicated. Good game!

    ReplyDelete
  159. @ellie...lol...my mind was already confused in "Eniguma"...rofl!!!! after finally figuring out what was so painfully obvious in that game, i felt compelled to write a little ditty...lol!!! i always enjoy your walkthroughs and comments Ellie :)

    ReplyDelete
  160. you can click side of basin to get side view of the hole then put cork there.
then back to basin view pour acid.
put metal piece, a number will be visible.
go back to side view to remove cork and acid will be drained so you can get metal piece with number

    ReplyDelete
  161. It was a good game BUT in my opinion, the hotspots were too difficult to find and, speaking generally, the navigation was not very convenient (it was even difficult to guess how to zoom out, sometimes). Too much pixel hunt was involved, not to find items, but to find where to zoom in order to find items.

    ReplyDelete
  162. very good game, but I agree with Pascale -- the hidden things to click were very hard to find. I never would have found the railing knob to turn. The navigation was strange (why move the arrows all the time?). And the first code was a killer. Sheesh!

The others were good, though. :)

I did like this game, but I would still be stuck with the kidnapper if it wasn't for comments and the walkthrough!

    ReplyDelete
  163. ok landing post/ball on stairs changes the secret way to a picture. not sure what to do now though.... Have metal plate, 4 x wood, l-shape, cork, rope and acid...... any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Got power, light in the darkened room now.
    How?
Find the fuse box in the garage, press the lever on the box, it will go up. Then put in fuse with the wire on. Press lever again.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Jules - if you use your cork, acid and metal plate in the basin in the lab, you'll get a code to use upstairs. (there's a secondary view on the basin, right of the hole [outside the basin] where you use the cork)

  167. I don't buy that game creator's explanation. Too far-fetched. It was just a bug and that is my opinion. :)

    ReplyDelete
  168. Ok, I press the round ball at the top of the stairs, and I went left. No key. Now theres a painting? what? Please help

    ReplyDelete
  169. @some-pie, there's a walkthrough on this page posted on 11/4/10 at 02:24 that might help you. I don't know what else you have done, so it's hard to give further help here.

    ReplyDelete
  170. @some-pie

Key: I think you mean the key above that the kitchen elevator, you should click on the switch in the kitchen (the elevator will go up), then go to the second floor and try to get in the left room (the one with the code - I hope you already found the code?). There you'll see the elevator with the key on top of it.

Picture: in the secret picture, you have to put the sheet you obtained from the painting downstairs (the one that changed into a man with a pipe - click on his right eye, you'll see a sheet appear)

But I'd suggest, you read through Ellie's walkthrough carefully, so you won't forget anything. It's very well explained.

There is also a videowalkthrough: http://walkthrough.escapegames24.com/2010/04/dare-house-escape-walkthrough.html

  171. i can't find the key in the stairs. :/ help?

    ReplyDelete
  172. When you're downstairs in the living room, you see that grey safe, just click on the stairs above the grey safe (so don't click on the stairs on the right, but above the safe)

  177. I had to stop playing this game at the point where i opened the red book. I did not see any red arrows and so i went to the video WT.
Finally MY red arrows were hidden under a black bar below and i could not use/move/see them :(
    A pity....
