  1. Hello all, happy new year from Germany! I still can't get the number clue, in spite of having read the comments a thousand times, so I still need the yellow stone. Please help!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Thanks to Lovelygiraffe, I found the black key !

    ReplyDelete
  3. Same here pascale. No hint for green knobs, no hint for numbers (and nothing to find where they are in the clues, only that it has been mentioned but it hasn't) I'll just wait for tomorrow and the trigger to find the plunger. I did make a map of what I found, but without the hint for numbers or green knobs I cannot move on. There is a vent that doesn't open and a cb that sais nothing, used sd only once (and tried in every room) And thank SD for autosave, clicked out of the game to many times and would have given up. Inventory should be out of the pic I think, not popping into it and blocking a lever because even if that is a nice touch, it hinders to much in the entire game.

    ReplyDelete
  4. @ Pascale: try to draw the map or like Alexander posted at 6:23 (which doesn't work with my PC, unfortunately), so it is easier to find, where you have been and have not been. And easier to help.
Ladder and ligther are needed third row from bottom, second from left (big Living room).

  5. @MaryD do you use an adblocker? I have to turn mine of for these games (Kaspersky)

    ReplyDelete
  6. @Christina: hint for green knobs in the room first row, most left with the lots of junk. right side the wooden box and be cafreful: wirte it down exactly with the yellow "knob" because it is iportant for the right direction...

    ReplyDelete
  7. Thank you Scapy, but cannot get there because I haven't got a plunger and therefore no red key. Do you know where the numbers hint is please? I think that triggers the plunger.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'VE GOT IT!

The number hint is in the room wiht only one bed in the white wall-cupboard, just two rooms "DOWN" from the one, where you need the numbers. It's a word...

    ReplyDelete
  9. Thank you Scapy. I searched that whole room and decided to play over. Found a clickable panel which didn't indicate in my first play, but I still could remove it. No wonder I couldn't find it first time around. Going to try and finish without further help.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Still no plunger though. Sigh. Going to trade the stones for a gem first, see if that is the trigger.

  11. Pascale
    are you still there

use the lighter on the candle
    from "phone"-room left and down
hammer is used on a crack on a wall over a bed in the middle of the room - but cant remember where

  12. I think the plunger only appears after you look into the red bathtub so many times. I think it should appear after you look in it only once. This way it's just not fun, going in circles waiting for something to happen that is just not logical. I couldn't find anyting else to do at one point but click the bath, read the lines, to back to the toilet, find no plunger and go back to the bathtub and all of a sudden the plunger appeared. But it's just not logical that you have to repeat clicking into a bloody bathtub 3 to 5 times (didn't count, but at least 3 times) to activate another room. Once, okay, that's the game but not repeatedly. For the panel showing no indicator, that could be just a bug and restarting worked fine to solve it, but after seeing all those people looking for the numberclue- maybe you can fix that? And maybe the plunger not activating is also a bug?

On the balance a very nice game though, with a lot of logic and not so hard you need a wt for most parts. Thank you Selfdefiant.

    ReplyDelete
  13. thanks @selfdefiant for this great game, i love all your games
thanks for the helpful comments, this time i needed them absolutlely
@Pascale: you'll find all your answers in the comments, i'm sure... use the lighter in the first room at the candle... i think, some things appear after doing something, the plunger was in the toilet below the first room, if i remember right...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Thanks @Selfdefiant! Loved this game! I didn't understand what triggered the plunger... just suddenly found it there. I'll go back in to have a look at it. Maybe I can write some kind of a walkthrough, but it's hard to be clear in games like this.
Glad to hear you found the black key @Pascale!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks Selfdefiant for the game and a Happy New Year to you!
I have a bit of a problem with the wheels though, I turned them to the right and they were all at 20. It takes a lot of left turning though, to make them go back again, anyone else had these problems?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi Ellie

I thought about writing a WT - but you are so much better than I at it - so I let you have the honour lol
I am happy to be of assistance if you need me !

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Truus, I had some problems with the wheels too... it took me a while to realise that clicking right side made them go clockwise, and clicking left side made them go back.
Thanks @SwissMiss! You'd do a great wt, I'm sure! But, I'll carry on then...

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Swissmiss, thank you too !
Yes, I knew what to do with the ladder and the lighter, and the comments below helped me to find where to use the hammer, finally !
No, I'm going to try again to find the plunger...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Whew! After 3 hours and 1819 clicks, I'm ready for bed, it's 8am here!
Happy New Year to all and good night/day!

    ReplyDelete
  20. thanks @Ellie, but mine were really stuck at 20. No left turning made them go back. The middle wheel was stuck for a long time and just when I thought about restarting the game, it suddenly went. lol
    ok, back to the game..

  21. any idea where the cutter is? I desperately want that red stone!

    ReplyDelete
  22. d,
I think the cutters were behind the green door, bottom left on the screen.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @d, to get the red stone, you need to use the flashlight in the broken elevator.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have made some progress (with a lot of help !) : I have all the stones, except the yellow one. I have only 3 gems (green, orange, red). I have found and used the silver, green, red and black key, but I don't have the golden key. I have opened the green knobs panel and the arrows panel, but I don't find any hint for the 4 digits box.
I didn't find any tiles that could be removed. When I click on the tiles on the floor in a corridor, it just says "Is that writing ?", but I can't do anything on it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, you meant the red jewel? Sorry. And I thought you meant the knife, not the bolt cutters. Sorry again. Thanks @st for helping. I'm a bit split minded here...

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Pascale, the tile with the hint for the 4 digit box is just 2 rooms below that box. Use the screwdriver on the wall to the left of the windows to see some text, then translate to numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Pascale, the golden key is in the junk room on top of the map. Close the inventory and find some records to the right. Drag them away.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Ellie and @Scapy thanks a lot for the 4 digits hint ! I have found the word DEAF... Is it really a hint for the number code ?

    ReplyDelete
  29. POP ! A=1, and so one, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Now I have the yellow gem, the I have no idea about the place of the missing gems, or about the golden key.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The junk rooms hides many secrets ! I have the blue gem and the golden key.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have all the gems, but no idea for the order !

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Pascale, do you have a strange item in your inventory? Place it on the right side in the book to see a letter clue. Use them from up to down.

    ReplyDelete
  34. and there is no black key, flash light, screw driver.... I think the main missing element is the black key

    ReplyDelete
  35. i need help, please! can't find the lighter! when i take the green key it's called "lighter" in inventory... a bug? 'cause i looked every room and can't find nothing...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wow...after reading the newer comments...I am still lost...LOL
I never found the strange thing, I do not know where to put the gems...I still need red and gold keys...I have sd, lighter, hammer, knife, 3 gems and 3 stones....Any guidance would be much appreciated!!!!Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I do not remember the room, somewhere right, middle...but there is a tall set of drawers...lighter is in 5th from bottom...

    ReplyDelete
  38. @d...i remember the black key is found by using the hammer over the middle bed in a room with 3 beds...i hope that was the black one...

    ReplyDelete
  39. lighter is in the long drawer cabinet. the room is,
turn right from elevator room. proceed once more to right. it is thare. That is, it is to the right of the ladder room.

    ReplyDelete
  40. and the screwdriver:(....

    ReplyDelete
  41. @Ellie, yes I have the strange item, thank you for the hint !

    ReplyDelete
  42. found the SD... from the black door room go down.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @pascale....do you remember where you got the strange item?...I do not have it yet!

    ReplyDelete
  44. @nokra, the strange item is if you go up from where you took the ladder.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Awwww...LOL...I feel like the name of the game!LOL
But I feel assured that our dear Ellie is at this moment working on a WT for us!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. TY @ellie...going there now...

    ReplyDelete
  47. tyvm d for the lighter!!

  50. WALKTHROUGH, PART 1
Press ”items” to view the inventory. Press “close” to close it again – it’s better to leave it closed since you might miss things behind it otherwise. If, by mistake, you press “menu”, just click on “start” and you’ll be taken back to your game.

    EMPTY ROOM – 2 WINDOWS.
Click the “lamp” on the wall to the left – it’s lever #1.
If you go right and down you see you’ll need to light a candle, but you can’t yet, so from first room:
    Go right and up.

    CHAIR
Press lever #2 on the right wall.
Take the MAP from the window.
Place it in the inventory and click to look at it.
Take the SILVER KEY from the map.
Go down, right, down and left.

    SCALE
Click the round part of the scale to see it’s on 15.
Click the two straight measures below the round part to see they are on 5 and 20.
    Go left.

    TOILET
Take a KNIFE from the floor.
Remember where this toilet is – you’ll need to get back here later.
Go right and down to see a brick missing in the wall.
Go back to the scale, then right twice.
Use your silver key on the door.

    STAIRS
Take the BRICK from the wall to the right of the stairs.
Go right – washing machine, but nothing there.
    Go down – nothing.
    Go right.

    PIPES AND WHEELS
Click the three wheels to see a puzzle.
Remember the clue from the scale.
Set the three wheels to: 15, 5 and 20 (from left to right).
(if you click right side of the wheels they turn clockwise, and left side makes them go anticlockwise)
    Get a BLUE STONE.
    Go right.

    BIG BARRELS
    Zoom on the GREEN KEY.
Use the knife to get it.
Go back to where you needed to place a brick in the wall (down from the scale).
That is: go right, right, up, right, up right down.

    BATHTUB
Place the brick in the left wall and get a GREEN JEWEL.
Go back to the scale, right and up twice.
Use the green key to open the door.

    CORRIDOR
Take the BOLT CUTTERS from lower left corner of the screen.
To get further up you need a red key.
Go right instead – broken elevator.
    Go right again.
Use the bolt cutters to take the LADDER.
    Go up.

    CIRCULAR DOOR
Take the STRANGE ITEM from the right side of the wall.
Up arrow shows you the place for your jewels.
Go right – see some beds with a crack in the wall.
    Go right.

BIG EMPTY ROOM WITH 8 WINDOWS
Take the hammer from the lower left corner of the room.
Go left and use the hammer on the crack in the wall above the middle bed.
    Get a BLACK KEY.
    Go left, down and right.

    ReplyDelete
  51. WALKTHROUGH, PART 2
    PLENTY OF OPEN DRAWERS
Find a LIGHTER in the 5th drawer from top.
Nothing else, so let’s use the black key.
Go left three times, down and right.
Use the black key to open the door.
    Go down.

    SINGLE BED ROOM
Take the SCREWDRIVER from the bed.
Use the screwdriver on the strange panel, to the upper left side of the window to see a text-clue.
Click on the text to read DEAF.
    Go back and up.

    POISONS-TEXT ON THE WALL
Click the cupboard to see a 4-digit code is needed.
You have seen the clue (two rooms down from here).
Solution at the end of the walkthrough.
Open the box to get a YELLOW STONE.
    Go down and right.

    WOODEN DOOR
You need an “arrow-clue” to solve the door.
If you go up from here – you need a dial clue.
    Go right instead.

    BEDS AND A CUPBOARD
Use the screwdriver on the vent in upper left corner of the room.
    Get a BOOK.
Click the book to read and see a clue in the pictures to the left.
Place the strange item on the right page of the book to see a letter-clue for later.
Go up to see a bathtub.
Click inside of it and click again to read the tub is clogged.
Now, we have several things to do… use the lighter, solve the arrows on the door, find a plunger…
    Go down and right.

    WOODEN DOOR
This time you have the clues for the arrows.
Click the wooden door and click the arrows in the correct order, then the button below them to get a PURPLE STONE.
    Solution below.
Go right twice, down and right twice again.

    TOILET
Now, there is a PLUNGER by the toilet.
This plunger seems to be there after you had a look in the clogged bathtub (up from where you found the book). I think you need to click inside of the tub to read that it’s clogged, before the plunger is there.
Go right twice, up, left and down.

ROOM WITH A CANDLE TO THE LEFT
Use the lighter on the candle in the left side of the wall.
    See a jewel.
Use the ladder to get the RED JEWEL.
Click the “lamp” on the far right side of the wall.
    That’s lever #3.
Go down and left… back to first room.
Now, after pulling three levers, there is a GREEN STONE in the left wall.

We need to go back to the clogged bathtub.
Go right five times and up.

    BATHTUB
Use the plunger in the bathtub to get the RED KEY.
Go down, right three times and up twice.
Use the red key to open the door.
    Go up.

    ReplyDelete
  52. WALKTHROUGH, PART 3
    JUNK ROOM
Make sure your inventory is closed.
Click on the bench to the far right side to see some records.
Drag them away and find the GOLD KEY under the right one.
Click to zoom on the open box on the bench, just to the left of the records.
Click on the green spots to see a dial-clue.
Still zoomed on the box - use the screwdriver in the wall on the loose brick to the right of the dial clue.
    Get a BLUE JEWEL.
Zoom in the upper left corner of the room to see some clothes.
Take the FLASHLIGHT from the shelf.
Nothing else… go down and right

    STAR ROOM
Click the star in the wall and see you can place your stones in it.
You still miss the red stone, so go left down, then right.

    BROKEN ELEVATOR
Use the flashlight in the elevator.
Take the RED STONE from bottom part of it.
    Go right and down.
Use the gold key to open the door.

    TWO BATHTUBS
There are many loose bricks on the wall.
Use the screwdriver to remove them and find a PURPLE JEWEL behind one of them – the 6th column from the right wall, 4th row from up.
Click here to see where to find the jewel.
Leave this room, then go left twice (corridor), down once, right twice (wooden door), then up.

    DIALS ROOM
Click the green dials to the right on the wall.
Set them correct according to the clue from the box in the junk room.
Note the position of the yellow dot in the clue – it’s the black diamond by the dials… so the clue is upside down.
    Solution below.
    Get an ORANGE JEWEL.
    Still missing the yellow jewel.
Let’s go back to the star in the wall.
Go down, right twice, up twice, then right.

    STAR ROOM
Click the star in the wall.
Place your five stones on the colored areas of the star to get a YELLOW JEWEL.
Where was that place for the jewels…?
Go left, down, right (broken elevator), right (where you took the ladder), and up twice.
Place the gems in the door.
The order is from the book+strange item.
    Solution below.
    Click the door handle.
    Click again… and you’re out!
    Congrats!

  53. SOLUTIONS
    4-digit code
Two rooms down from the code box, you need to use the screwdriver on the panel next to the upper left part of the windows.
Read “DEAF”- and translate the letters to numbers (A=1, B=2 etc)
    DEAF=4516, which is your code.

    Arrows on wooden door
Use the hint in the book – the way the cats move.
The first one jumps up – so it’s up arrow.
Solution: up, right, down, left, down, right, up…. then the button.

    Dials
Turn the hint from the box in the junkroom upside down.
    The dials are pointing:
    south, northwest
    east
    southeast, west
Click here for a screenshot of the solution.

    Order of the jewels
Place the strange item on the right side in the book.
Read the letters from up to down: ypobgr
That is your order: yellow, purple, orange, blue, green, red

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sylli,
After clicking those buttons, you have to click the button below the arrow buttons to open that door.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @sylli...I would help if I had the book...do you remember where it is?
happy , healthy year to you too!

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Sylli... your order is correct. Do you remember to press the button below the arrows when you're done?

    ReplyDelete
  57. the arrows on the door are not moving. I have the book but cannot adjust the door codes accordingly. anybody else with the same problem???

And for the purple gem.... Which room... Is it the creepy room? Ive checked every tile there...

    ReplyDelete
  58. @nokra, go right from the wooden door that needs the arrows... get to some beds. Use the screwdriver in a vent in upper left corner to find the book.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Ahhh there is the WT! Yea! Super ! Thanks!!!!!!
    Ellie...you are the best!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. is deat the number code? if so.. ıve used 3328
4510... what else can it be?

    ReplyDelete
  61. @d, the arrows will not move. Just press them in the correct order... some are to be pressed more than once. Then press the button below them.
The room with the loose tiles is the one with two bathtubs, that you open with the gold key.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yw @nokra... but writing it I felt as confused as when playing the game. I hope it makes sense lol.
@d, for the number code use the order of the alphabet to replace the letters for numbers. A=1, B=2 and so on. So DEAF = 4516

    ReplyDelete
  63. and the word was DEAF not DEAT... silly silly me!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I thank you all, I had pressed the button, the door will not open!

Nokra can not remember exactly where book was, in a think of the 4 Room
    Ellie - has written a brilliant solution - you'll find it :-)

    ReplyDelete
  65. OUT, thanks all... putting the map was a good idea, really. we were missing rooms. Hiding the records behind the item list was a bad design. THe bolt cutters needed strong eyes. I prefer finding things in a less coincidental way, really. But overall, it was successfull, fun... thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  66. thanks Ellie for the wt!! i'm finally out!

    ReplyDelete
  67. 1827 clicks and a lot of help from the comments later.... and I'm out.
I decided not to enter my score, clicked on "no thanks" and suddenly I was back in the game, lol.

Thanks for the game, all the comments (saw others struggling with the wheels too, lol)and also a big thanks for the great WT from Ellie.

    ReplyDelete
  68. TY TY TY!!!!1766 clicks!!!Now I can get on with my life!!!!LOL What a challenging game...so lost that I missed a whole area that didn't even need a key!!!

Thanks @selfdefiant once again for a great game!

    ReplyDelete
  69. @selfdefiant: I just HAD to add my two cents because I absolutely LOVE these games! Even if some parts are harder than othes - that's the challenge. I love games that take a long time like these, and to me all the hints and clues seem very logical. It would be no fun if it weren't challenging!!! So, I thank you so very much for creating such challenging and fun games! From insane asylums to beautiful tropical islands - I ALWAYS totally enjoy your games. Thanks for all the effort you go to for our enjoyment!

    ReplyDelete
  70. lol Ellie - I knew you would make a wonderful WT

    ReplyDelete
  71. @Selfdefiant
your games are certainly my favourites - especially the tropical ones

but the "Swiss Chalet" one was not really a Swiss Chalet?? It didn't look like it In or Out
    but I still enjoyed it

    thanks

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thanks @SwissMiss!
LOL @nokra!! So good to see you out, and happy that you found your missing area :D Always fun playing with you!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Fantastic WT Ellie! Such a long one, too! You always take the time to make them so clear and easy to follow!

@Swissmiss - your WT's are always great, too!

I tried to do a WT once and missed so many things I was embarrassed! So, I know that it's not an easy thing to do, and I really appreciate when you guys go to the effort to make them!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. @Zoe, it's always fun to write the WT's since you have to go back in and really understand the game. I agree it's easy to miss things (not to talk about left/right confusions lol). I play the games again while writing and try to describe everything I do... still, I always wonder if the explanations are enough... or too much.
    Thanks for your nice comment!

    ReplyDelete
  75. @Ellie: There's no such thing as too much! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  76. @Ellie, I have to agree with Zoe, your Walkthroughs are just perfect! Always very clear and never too much info.
    Way to go girl!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Love the games Self-Defiant! Photos are awesomely creepy! Now if I could only finish one of the games without help....

    ReplyDelete
  78. out with a lot of help from the comments - thanks all.
and thanks @Selfdefiant - another great one

    ReplyDelete
  79. I have everything but the yellow gem. I'm guessing I need to put the 5 colored stones somewhere, but I haven't found the place to put them. I found the star diagram for the color order - could someone tell me where I put the stones? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  80. LOL! It took me so long to figure out how to post that the walkthrough was posted while I was working on my comment! Sorry! Can't believe those stones go right on the star - thought it was a clue! Thanks for everyone's help!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks, @Christina, for replying - I don't use an ad-blocker. I've tried allowing popups for the site. Nothing working so far.. but I'm grateful you tried to help! Sounds like such a good game too :o(

    ReplyDelete
  82. I need a walkthrough - please help!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I have read all comments twice and I haven't found the number clue - HELP! :_)

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ooops---I missed the last comments...sorryyyyyyyyy

    ReplyDelete
  85. Wee - I'm out!!! Thank you for helping me the last few steps!

Selfdefiant - you are a master in making games!!! I love them.
Next step should be to show us HOW to make them :-)

    ReplyDelete
  86. belated compliments to SelfDefiant. Excellent game as always.

I did hit menu a lot when trying to close the inventory, but with the autosave putting me back where I left off, it wasn't bad.

Finding things in the junk room was hard, but that is part of the fun.

No trouble with the plunger. I missed that view until after so I never knew it wasn't there from the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Selfdefiant I was very late getting to your game but wanted to let you know it was great! I didn't like the inventory the way you had it set up but other than that I loved the game! I had a hard time with the yellow gem and took me forever to find the green stone but once I had those is was all good. Thank goodness for all the great hints! Happy New Year Escapers!!!

    ReplyDelete
  88. "@Skyjourney: Screwdriver is in room third from bottom, fourth from left."

    No it is not.

There is "writing" on the floor but nothing else. Very disappointed. Got this far on my own and POP POP POP no SD.

Looks like I will be "abandoning" this game.

  89. Okay, After you use the black key (I think) you will find yourself in a corridor in which you can go four different directions. There is a hot spot in front of you that says "Is that writing??" Go --- down from here. On the bed peeking from under the pillow you will find the SD or screwdriver.
