    ReplyDelete
  39. @Cecile, I always use firefox and I never had any problem with the melting-mindz-games. Maybe you should check your firefox version? The actual one is 3.6.14.

I have to thank selfdefiant again for another hour of fun. And thanks to those who posted the clues about the 3- and 4-digit boxes.

Call me greedy but I hardly can wait for the next one.

  51. oh, um, @Selfdefiant, you didn't do so badly yourself, lol! Thank you for about the millionth time!

    ReplyDelete
  52. thx @zoz you're all so good at these games and at writing WT's, you have all my admiration

since you all do so many WT's I thought you might appreciate that newbies do their bit as well, and let you take well-deserved breaks

thx @s-t for your encouragement earlier when I started this WT, it gave me the drive to do the remainder up to the end

@SD, your games are addictive! I can't wait till the next one.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wow...what a great way to spend a stormy Pacific North West day! Howling winds, driving rain, and then the sound effects in the game itself! My thanks to self-defiant for another FANTASTIC game, and to jay-jay for the great walkthrough. I was pulling my hair out before I resorted to peeking! I love the sphere...but was disappointed I could no longer make drawings. (I like to x out rooms when I'm done.) That being said, I can't wait for my next s-d fix!

    ReplyDelete
  54. where do i put the gems? this is so confusing

    ReplyDelete
  55. Never did find the map, and when I allowed a blocked pop-up, it restarted the game.

    Not a good one.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Selfdefiant:
Thanks for a really good game. The extra rooms, double orbs, rain & ability to transport were great additions. The four digit code was a bit convoluted, but it keeps us thinking outside the box. Don't quit improvising, and do keep 'em coming!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Wow, a cascade of lovely surprises!
    Thank you, Selfdefiant!
This game has a bit of everything!
First surprise of course was finding this new Abandoned game,
then all the new things on top of your more familiar methods [I was pleased to see the "drag-to-find-it" element still present], the pretty filigree keys, candles, codes, clues, and that crystal sphere to "hop" around?
    Just brilliant!
I also love the way we get that just as we really need to be walking back through all the rooms! Sneaky to the last! =)
I made this last nearly two and a half hours, so thank you again for setting us these new challenges, which never need guesswork, are always logical and which is why we love them so much =)
I want to name my next grandchild after you, but on second thoughts, maybe "Selfdefiant" isn'nt such a good idea, it could get him/her into trouble, and I don't think the parents would agree to it.
Perhaps I should get a cat?
    =)

    ReplyDelete
  58. The crystal ball traveling was a real challenge for me.
Tried 10 different words in English....
5 words in French...5 words in Spanish...
4 words in Dutch....7 words in German...(Just in case selfdefiant speak any of these languages)and NADA.....

    Where is the clue????

    ReplyDelete
  59. To Elena, the clue is on that note... look at the letters; some of them are a little bolder than all the others, also, I'll say the letters are an anagram of something; what's another name for the object on the table?
    =)
If my hints don't help, scroll up because small-tool says what the word is.

    ReplyDelete
  60. lol @Rookwings! Although I agree that Selfdefiant might not be the best name for a child, I think it would be perfect for a cat!

@Elena, I don't understand your question, but if you can rephrase it I'll try to help!

    ReplyDelete
  61. oh, @Rookwings you beat me to it! I guess we were traveling in the same Sphere, so to speak!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Found the clue!!!!!!!!!!!

    E-S-E-P-H-R

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hello, zoz! Nice to see you after all this week [I think], haha.
Thanks for the giggles since we last spoke; I like to keep an eye on you in other games, but recently I've been too late =)
I want to help, too, but also leave something for the stuck gamer to "get" for themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Confidential Word to @jay-jay: You'll most likely see a lot of posts asking questions that were answered clearly in your WT. Don't let it discourage you - it kind of comes with the territory!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yay, to Elena =) =) =)
and Yay also, to zoz! Nice swerve there, milady =)
Wasn't this a really lovely new game?
He's Superhuman, never mine Selfdefiant, eh!
*whispers* Psst! Do you think he's cloned himself?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think we could do with an off-topic thread on this site.... so my babble doesn't clog up game threads, for a start
    =)

    ReplyDelete
  67. *whispering* @Rookwings, jeez i sure hope he's cloned himself! Maybe there will be enough to go around for all of us? (just wishing :D)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Haha, I'll get to work building a Selfdefiant cloning machine out of toilet roll middles and beer cans right away =)
The world could soon be full of them, like the Smiths from the matrix, haha
    You will get first pick!

    ReplyDelete
  69. @zoz how nice of you to say that many thanks I'll keep in mind how previous WT's were so helpful to me & hope this one will do the same thing for other people

@ph1n3a5 great map with lots of useful details pls continue to post

    ReplyDelete
  70. great game thanks SD. Can't wait for the next one:)

It even has room "moves", which is brilliant for newcomers to Selfdefiant's fast-growing fanbase.
    =)

    ReplyDelete
  84. Good lord that was long and complicated!
I was unable to draw on my map but got thru anyway. Love the crystal orb business!
SD, you mean to say "the pipe needs fixing" not "the pipe needs fixed" sorry darling.

    ReplyDelete
  85. thanks Rachel and Jay-Jay. it's so much easier to number the rooms than say: 3rd row 4th room. i would never had guessed the GEAR code. thanks again.

  86. why doesn't the dial box open? I am trying to use the radio clue

And what is the answer to the riddle on the crystal ball?? I've tried a number of possibles but no No one has really mentioned it Is it that easy????

  87. why doesn't the dial box open? I am trying to use the radio clue

  88. @balmycharmy
for the dial box you may have to invert two numbers; go to walkthrough part 3 at 4:56pm &scroll down until you see the words 3-DIAL CODE in caps

for the riddle, go to walkthrough part 2 at 4:21pm and scroll down until you see the words CRYSTAL BALL in caps

    good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  89. where is the walkthrough????

    ReplyDelete
  90. Whew! Out ater over 2 hrs. The 4 digit code had me stumped.
    @jay-jay - awesome WT!
@Selfdefiant - thank you! Loved the crystal ball addition (a lot of rooms in this one).

    ReplyDelete
  91. FLABBERGASTED!

What a joy to play. Thank you Self Defiant. You rule! Many blessings to Jay-Jay for the wonderful walk through and Rachel's map. I also really liked ph1n3a5's map - a graphic walk through.

The crystal ball was a wonderful surprise! I was so stuck on the 3 and 4 digit codes. I had to have help. However, I could just kick myself for not noticing the second drawer with the lighter in it.

    20 stars from me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. @Eberhard
    the walkthrough is above,

  95. Rather than numbering the rooms, I'd suggesting using a letter/number notation (e.g. A2 would be the second room in the first row, C5 would be the 5th room in the 3rd row, etc.).

If you start lettering from the bottom up and start numbering from left to right, then you'll generally begin in A1 or A2.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think I got out without placing the yellow gem. I'd done all the others and ended up by the exit, so I clicked on it just to see and it said I finished the game.
Great game, I did appreciate the crystal travel too ^^

    ReplyDelete
  97. @Jayjay: many thanx for your excellent walkthrough! Saved me from being stuck in this deserted loony bin forever lol.
