ReplyDelete@LaChatonFou - Thanks for the coin WT -- I was able to get all but 1 of the 6 coins I missed! If that was the color order you used on the gem safe, then the order was random. I anagrammed the letters to TRAINED and used that for the order.

works, but it isn't a word that I know of, and there is no relationship with the scattering of letters in the game clue.
So how would I know if it wasn't for the walkthrough?

ReplyDeleteThe order is alphabetically. That's often in Selfdefiants when there's no other clue.
I'm having a problem with the arrow code. Do I use my keyboard arrows to enter the code on the drawer? Thanks!

ReplyDeletestuck inside playing games while the hurricane makes its way up the east coast. Like zoz, I am far enough inland it shouldn't be too bad. Tropical storm for us and not a hurricane.
My arrows won't move on the drawer in N. They make all the right noises but nothing happens. Can't be bothered to restart... but thanks to all for the hints!

ReplyDeleteI just had a peep through the last few comments and saw that people seem confused over the order of the gems - so I went back in [well, I NEEDED an excuse to go and sit in that scene "R" again anyway, haha] and replayed several times to test the order and although the intention must have been to either make an anagram of the word or use the letters in alphabetical order [although, small-tool, the if the letters make a word he often uses that] THE ORDER IS COMPLETELY RANDOM.
Remember what he said in the comments after the last game?
I tried anagram first, then alphabetically, then in the order of my personal preference [I detest pink and yellow so they were last; red was first] then I tried twice in the order I found the gems - collecting them different ways as I went.
Each way worked.
If anyone wants me, I'll be snoozing in Scene "R"; it looks so warm and drowsy-inducing =D

so far so good here in central Virginia. Very rainy and a bit windy, but not bad. The main storm should hit around 8pm here. My sis did hydroplane because of the very wet roads (sis was on her way to pick up her daughter). She's fine, but dinged her truck up. She's now safe at a friend's house with her daughter.
