Have a paintbrush (put on table), opened the y r cb, a plate, a tissue and door handle(used). Now i need a tap to wet my tissue.

I entered the squids (upper left is grey, down left is red etc) in the middle between the panels, stepped back and right panel opened.

ReplyDeleteWell, wasn't happy in the first place with bruteforcing the right panel code, but I think it's no use trying to bruteforce the legs. We don't even know if we only have to click 5 times.

ReplyDeleteIt's a bit unsatisfying that you could brute force the right side panel code without opening the left first, like you are supposed to do.
And now with the tap, you can wet the towel and then the legs code is behind the left cupboard smudge.

That you have to set the '+' where the doors are closed was downright illogical.
How are you supposed to guess that?
In fact a waste of a great game.
Ah, now I see how Guru got the idea.
ReplyDeleteNot sticking to the monitor like a (partly) visually impaired helps...the '+' are carved into the wood of the wooden doors like in a relief or a marquetry.
I can't figure out how anyone got the ink. Paintbrush is on the table. I have the cloth, the plate, used the handle, and I think I looked at every clue. But no matter how much I click the red squid, he won't give me any ink. stuck, but I don't want to bf anything.

ReplyDeleteNo. Just enter the correct symbols, have SOUND ON (because once you've done it right, you'll hear a distinct sound), zoom out and open right compartment. This is not Robamimi et al. where things auto-open =D

ReplyDeleteI agree with you: Sanpoman's games used to be so logical and well playable - this one doesn't seem so. My head is spinning around even after reading the comments, and IO have no idea about how many of the puzzles are supposed to be solved...
I don't like giving low scores to games, but if I did, I'd give this one a 2-start rating, because I didn't enjoy it the least and when I got really stuck I never felt motivated to press on :(
Sanpoman, let's hope this one's only a hiccup and your future games will be like your usual stuff: good, logical and enjoyable.

Ah--I found the logic! The first step for the side panels is to just put in the +'s for the closed doors (don't put in any squid at all). This opens the left panel.

take a look of room
behind white squid key card slot
at wash basin color hint for cabinet
open cabinet under sink red squid & hint on rite door
there is also HANDLE near squid
on wall there is grid with left & rite wall panel
on rite shelf ..use handle on door to see pink squid
open middle door shelf to get Paint brush
from table you can pick CLOTH & PLATE
note the small pannel under table
use color hint on cabinet
note that middle shelf has screw
now go to grid & open left panel by using hint of closed door on shelves i.e
click (x means nothing)

left panel is open get SD ..use it on screw
get TAP knob
place it on tap wet the cloth
used it on dirt on shelves
go to grid again ,now open rite pannel
grey squid is PINK squid

highlight PLATE in your inventory & click mouth of red squid several times to get INK
place plate on table & brush ...it will ask you something if you click rite option then there is ink on your monitor used again cloth ...
now panel is open under table get key car

use hint from shelf on squid legs
CBEEACDD i.e in numbers
click legs in this order

get KEY ..use on door .

ReplyDeleteI knew that very well, just always trying to act the wise guy might get annoying ;-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed it makes lots more sense if you associate an octopus with splashing ink in your face, doesn't it :)
I guess Sanpoman does have some knowledge about animals:) Because it is true that if you SCARE an octopus it will splash ink just because it's frightened. That's what you did in the game by putting that strange thing over its head. It panicked, and...you had something to write with ;)
plate + ink pen:

ReplyDeleteAfter setting the ink on the desk (lower right, not where it was to start with), I clicked the left option, and never got ink all over the screen.
