    ReplyDelete
  15. 6-digit clue is on the note at the bottom. Use the alphabet.

    ReplyDelete
  16. my red/green/purple color code is not working in the room with the tub - I tried it all 3 ways. :(

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Zoe Upside down. The first colour (the upper one) is green, the second purple, the third red, if i remember correctly.

    ReplyDelete
  18. bluecherverschlingen - thank you! I thought I tried that, maybe I forgot to click on the bottom (gray) part.

    ReplyDelete
  19. So, I have the chess piece from high up after moving the barrel, and I have the one from the color puzzle. Where is the third one?

    ReplyDelete
  20. nvm...at the stairs is a crack in the wall! Hammer time!

  21. Thanks SD! Looking forward to tomorrow - I need a key for that locked door!

  22. An Asylum series! THANK YOU!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. That was a bit weird. Wandered around for ages before just randomly clicking on the bed again and boom, done for the day.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's the end? I was hoping for a lot different when I saw an Asylum title. Maybe get a break for these short ones we see every day now.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Luke - from what I understand, there are going to be short daily games that are (so far) 5-day series. This is the beginning of the third one of those. SD has also said he will continue with the other games that are longer and have maps, etc. I'm loving all of it!

    ReplyDelete
  26. You woke up in a dark dank place that you've never seen before?
Bullcrap. I have seen this place before. A lot!!

And if combining the worst parts of the "Find My X" games with the worst parts of the Asylum games is the best that SD's imagination can come up with, he can count me out. I am not even going to continue playing this series, as the predictability is already overwhelming.

Enjoy running back and forth unable to carry more than one AA battery at a time. :P :P :P

  30. Esmerelda Pumphandle Can you show me one of your fabulous games? I would love to play one! It's amazes me to read comments like this when there are thousands of players playing the games I make.I know I can't please everyone, that's why I never try to. As I said, thanks for those who like the games I make!

  32. I like the shorter games. I often don't get to finish the longer ones.
It was an abrupt ending... but I still liked it.
Selfdefiant forget Esmeralda... You can't please everybody but are pleasing a whole lot of people.
I have been playing this site since it first started and you posted your first game. It has been fun watching your growth as a gamemaker. Thank you for all the hundreds of hours of fun and escaping.

  33. SD ignore that ignorant person, he/she wants games exclusively to suit him/her. Quite frankly his/her moaning won't be missed. ps. great game

    ReplyDelete
  34. Instead of all the comments about whether it's a good game or not, which is just someone's opinion, how about some clues? Where is the SD? What to do with the note with the red letters that has "HE" missing in the word "where" and the "T=20" on the side? I'm not making any progress at all, been round and round and up and down and only found one chess piece and knocked a board loose, and have a hammer and bolt cutters, that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Found the SD in the number/box by re-reading the comments and got the number. Thanks for that good clue!

    ReplyDelete
  36. can't find bolt cutter or cheesburger - I am so bad at the short games : (

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thank you SD. I like this concept. An escape game, with a nice storyline, divided over several days. Keep them coming.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Now where is the cheeseburger???

    ReplyDelete
  39. ahh - finally found the bolt cutter st the bottom of the dark steps

purplepink - use bolt cutters on cupboard for cheeseburger - its in the room right of the red/purple/green clue

    ReplyDelete
  40. Found the cheeseburger after using the bolt cutters in the room after using the key. Good game!

    ReplyDelete
  41. SD .. People will gripe about the rope they're about to be hung with..You make the day for myself and 99.9% of those who come here ... Keep them coming.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I never found a key. Any hints?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh yeah, I forgot. My first comment was going to be...

A Survival game AND an Asylum to boot! Yipee!

    ReplyDelete
  44. POP! I was looking for a wrench for the drain.

  45. @SelfDefensive
I am sorry that you got the impression that I thought you were making games just for me. That certainly isn't what I said. All I said was that one aspect of your games lately didn't suit me. I know that it suits others fine, and I don't begrudge them that enjoyment and I have never made any comments indicting otherwise. Nor have I disparaged you for making your games the way you do. In fact, I have often said that I enjoy your games because that is the truth. I do. So perhaps you ought to step back, re-read what I wrote and try to take it as it was written, and ignore the errant assumptions of others who claim to know what is going on in my head. They do not.

As a game maker I would think that you would appreciate getting feedback from people who play your games, whether that feedback is positive or negative. Unlike so many other people here, at least I have given you something concrete to listen to, something infinitely more useful than the typical "this game sucks" or "I love SD games", which tell you absolutely nothing constructive whatsoever.

I can not fathom how it is that one person expressing an opinion about your game (a perfectly legitimate thing to do on this forum, btw) has managed to get you so defensive and bent out of shape, but the fact that it has suggests to me that maybe you are taking yourself a little too seriously.

It is just a flipping flash game, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well thanks for expressing how you felt about the game. I do appreciate that you took the time to write what you didn't like about the game. You are right, most people either say one or two words which isn't helpful. It seemed as if in your comment that you were complaining about the games just being another find my "whatever" game. Which it's not. As a game maker I have to come up with new and interesting things to add into the games. If that means carrying one item back and forth then I will give it a try. It might not make sense to everyone but that's ok. I also have to try and hide things, sometimes people say it's pixel hunting to others its too obvious. I don't usually say anything to anyone who complains. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I get that. I do my best and I always try to improve, there isn't much else to do. I'm not upset with comments like, Crap game, 1 star. It actually makes me smile to know that someone took there precious time to write that for me! Thanks again and no hard feelings. :)

  47. EP, you are a whiny ingrate and seldom, if ever, constructive.

Nobody gives a monkey's what goes on in your sad old head.

    ReplyDelete
  48. EP it is not an errant assumption of other people, it is you who quite clearly states about what is going on in your head.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @SD I like the 2 new concepts you are using...
the 5 day series games are fun, and keep me coming back for more, both the cartoon style, and now the 'real picture' style games.
The backpack idea is good too. Much better than the scrolling inventory where you have to search for your stuff.
    Good games, and always developing.
    Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Huw
Obviously, SD does, as he stated in his response to me.

    @tishtosh
You errant assumption is that what is clear to you is what must then necessarily be true. You deny your own fallibility, and in so doing prove it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. EP, maybe YOU should re-read your own words! You think this is constructive criticism? This is all about YOU and what YOU are and are not going to do:

    "Esmerelda Pumphandle 7/22/14, 11:07 AM

  52. SD is just too polite, you whiny nobody. Nowehere in his post was he defensive or bent out of shape.

Nothing you post is constructive. "Waaah! Waaah! I don't like this. I'm clicking on the red X." Have you ever said thanks for one of these free games?!

    ReplyDelete
  53. @SD
Thanks for understanding, and for the civil reply!

I really do respect the amount of creativity and imagination that coming up with new games (and keeping long-running series interesting) takes. Though my line of work is not games it does require the same thing, and often has the same results. So I get it.

Contrary to what others are saying I do not expect to enjoy every aspect of every game. More often than not I enjoy games that have an element in them that I find personally annoying. But that is just me, and I usually play on because it is still fun and it is ultimately just a game. When it isn't fun enough for me to warrant continuing to play, I stop and take the time to let the game maker know why. Not in an expectation that it will change, but out of courtesy because if the game maker cares about what they are doing they will want to hear what people like as well as what they don't...even if they don't end up using that input to change anything.

It is unfortunate that the tenor of these forums has turned so nasty and intolerant that someone can't express an opinion about a game without being accused of making personal attacks on the game maker, but that is in the hands of the modmins not us. As you know, it didn't used to be this way here.

Thanks again, for both your understanding and your games.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Huw - look what you did! You got EP to say thanks!!! Way to GO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. @Zoe
You don't even rank a reply from me. You do nothing but troll these threads looking to pick fights. It is no wonder I see something rude written about you on half the high score boards.

    @Huw
Why don't you simply mind your own business? Is that really too hard for you to do? Do you really not have anything better to do than butt in to other peoples' business and ascribe personality characteristics to people you don't even know based solely on what you read into their forum posts? Because that is a pretty sad hobby to have, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Another 'War and Peace' post. Less is more, whiny one!

    ReplyDelete
  57. If I don't rank a reply, why did you reply? What a fool.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I like the interesting combination between the 2 types of games and I assume this was quite short in order to test the different concept - whatever the reason, I enjoy playing both this and the original versions in particular of the assylum series as you can get your teeth into the longer versions. I also think that the ability to travel between rooms already visited once the orb is acquired a great tool for large games. Keep them coming please SD

    ReplyDelete
  59. Where's the light I'm not going down the stairs without? SD I love your games! I do find the asylum ones hard to play because of the lack of light but I still love 'em!

    ReplyDelete
  60. It's Too Bad! these forums have turned into a B@#$% session, not a place to help one another get along in the game!! There is Big a difference between adding thought provoking responses that could maybe help the game designer improve or add to his game design and just B@#$%^&* about the game quality. If this type of game isn't for you, remember no one is forcing you to play, or even better, why don't you come up with a better game design so we can see your amazing talents! Just saying...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Oh my gawd, enough with the whinge-fest. How about a few clues?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I have to agree with Sir Mikey. Time now please to get back to HELPing one another with clues.
Not to say that there are not already some good clues here, but the only one I personally found helpful was where the boltcutters were (thanks, Souless Minion). I read that we needed a light to go down, and assumed that it was a lead for part 2 or 3. So I didn't try to go further on that screen.
I really don't care if someone else likes the game or not. If you don't like it, there is nobody compelling you to play.
So now that EP & SD have agreed to differ, how about the rest of us quit picking at them and help with more clues please. Sometimes, I DO find objects difficult to find!

If I were to make ONE (ONLY) criticism, its this; if you can't find something in the game please read the whole forum before jumping in and asking what has often been answered just 2 or 3 posts above your query.

Thanks SD. I could give a list of the bits I don't like, but usually there are enough clues left to get me through.
But when I have to go to a video walkthrough for help (other game-makers, not yours SD), that's when I quit and play a different game.

  63. Looks like Esmerelda Pumphandle has a case of the Mondays (even though it's not Monday) lol!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hello guys, could someone give me another clue for the 6 digit code, please? I counted the letters but I have only 5 digits and I dont know how to get the 6th one... :/

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh nvm, I counted the number of letters in the letter.. lol. Got it now.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks SD - I enjoy mixing up these shorter games with the long ones.

@EP - I've read numerous posts by you lately and decided you're just another crankypants I should ignore. But I have to say I agree with Zoe - your comment was just plain nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Where's the key? I want my cheeseburger!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Seriously, where's the burger!?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Key was in the bath plughole...

Good game - I like these survival games.

    Play nicely everybody!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Is this another remake? I distinctly remember playing every scene of this game before. As soon as I found a piece of glass, I went back to my mattress to see if I could cut it open but instead, I went to sleep. I was like, WTF? LOL I'm not used to SD games being so short but I do love your games, SD. I've been playing your games for 8 or 9 years and I appreciate all the time and effort that you put into them. Also, over the years I've seen you read these message boards and integrate the suggestions and ideas of "us players" into your games. I've posted on these boards under various names and I find it quite rewarding when I see one of my suggestions in your games. Thank you so much for interacting with us and listening to us, even when "some of us" have a little too much to drink or forget to take our meds. XD

    ReplyDelete
  71. Errr why did it end by laying again at the bed? I thought more left to do, like finding a flashlight, a key....
