  1. And then there was silence...... who else is stuck with 4 papers and hasn't got a clue what to do ?

  2. seems like there is a bit of math...with the cards and the order...too early here to think about :D

  3. Early afternoon here, doesn't change a thing. Stuck. Can move pic but don't know the order, don't know what # to enter in the red box

  4. yes...thinking the card order has something to do with the math for the box...or whatever... :/

  5. Hi Emmes and Jessicac. Stuck @ the same point, Don't know how to solve the math cards. Just give me my b'day cake ;)

  6. The mouses are holding up colored cards. That, in combination with the 4 cards gives a sequence for the painting.

  7. Behind painting is a safe. Look at your cards and note the numbers after the X. Out in the right colors for a paper. I have absolutely no clue to that!

  8. thanks for that! i know the vertical line is absolute value

  9. maybe when you figure out the paper it is how to press the up and down arrows?

  10. geeze matrix maths LOL
    I remember that stuff

  11. needs maths person
I have long forgotten matrices rules LOL

  12. in matrices x is not multiply they call it cross and has rules

  13. and the colours on the 6 items is the arrows answer

  14. Damn I wish I had old uni maths book I could probably solve it but Im giving up

  15. Did you note that the windup key on the color code critter changes sides? And you can click off the negative (minus sign) on the red input box at desk?

  16. any hints for matrix maths paper?

    have everybody giving up?

  17. This is very annoying.
    Where is the rating module??!!

  18. As I didn't take maths at university, I tried to check on Wikipedia but I am still totally clueless ! So I hereby officially give up. I join your question Hotzenplotz, where is the rating module ?

  19. the final up/down clue-look at number to multiply and direction of arrow on each card.

  20. You don't have to do too much math.
For the picture: use the sequence of numbers after the x and the colors from mice(?).
For the box on shelf: Put the second row 010 (y=1) and the first one 001 (z). The number for z: 2
The arrows in the paper give clue for up and down arrows.

  21. what happened to the star ratings?

    ReplyDelete
  22. For picture: 3 2 -1 -3 2 3
For box behind picture: put colors according to numbers on cards.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think the only problem was how to start. The rest is on the clues.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Good game. Don't freak out and overthink the math. Most of it has to do with the multipliers outside the matrices.

  25. And then there was silence

    What a great keyword!!
Has anyone figured out how to turn off that annoying "toy box" music?

  26. I still don't get the up/down clue. Too bad it was all I needed. Miss the ratings system. This was a good game, even if I couldn't finish it.

  27. Solution for the Up-Down buttons is the
combination of the last note (2,-1,-1,3,-3),
and the arrows on the B-Day cards.

  28. @Maggie do you know something I don't know yet?

Is the ratings system gone for good? And if so, where was it announced?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Answering myself: nowhere. People complained that the ratings were gone in chat and got an answer why. (abuse)., Personally, I found 90% of ratings fully justified, since a crap game does deserve to be rated crap.
And some developers who just thought they need their good name from days of yore, release some half-baked crap and won't get slapped for it (and high-rated anyway) experienced wonderfully how to get shipwrecked with that idea.

There was something stated about fandom (fav developer=5 tars constantly) and such as well in the chat. However, this proved to be a marginal phenomenon and widely BS.

  30. WALKTHROUGH

NOTE look at all clues for them to work

    pink card under pillow
go left, green card in drawer, movable painting (needs clues)
go left, yellow card in drawer, note on desk
go left, blue card in trash can
    go right, note color order (y p g b p y)
go right again, click on painting according to the colors and numbers (on the right side) of the cards
now enter G Y B P in the box for the number/color order
the note you get explains how to solve matrices

ok from my limited memory of how matrices work, is you need to solve them as so where you end up with values like this:
    [0 0 1 | z]
    [0 1 0 | y]
    [1 0 0 | x]

so basically you're solving for x, y and z and you need multiple equations to figure out these values. So if you have a line that is:

[3 0 0 | 9] you know that x = 3 because if you divide the whole line by 3 to get 1 on the left you end up with 3 on the right. It's another way of saying 3x = 9. Anyways, the yellow card has a bottom line with:

    [1 0 0 | 2] so you know x = 2. It also has a line with:

    [-3 -1 0 | -7] and since you know x = 2, the equation is -6 -1y + 0 = -7, so removing the -6 from each side leaves -1y = -1, so y = 1.

So now we have x = 2 and y = 1, we can use any of the lines to solve for z, but lets do the pink card because it's easiest:

    [0 2 1 | 4] so 0 + 2 + 1z = 4, remove 2 from each side, 1z = 2 so z = 2. So now we know x, y, z = 2, 1, 2

The red box actually wants us to show a matrix like the one above:

    [0 0 1 | z]
    [0 1 0 | y]
    [1 0 0 | x]

    so for the top line put 0, 0, 1 | 2 (because z = 2) and this will pop open a new equation to solve: x + 2y + z, or subbing our answers in 2 + 2 + 2, so put 6 and hit the check box

The new note says 2, -1, -1, 3, -3, and there are arrows on the colored cards next to these numbers, so back out and go left to the elevator then hit up and down according to the cards (U, D, D, U, U)
