Found a screwdriver and a crowbar so far, but no map and no orb-collector yet. Used the crowbar on a hole in the floor of the bathroom, but can't do anything with the hole.
ReplyDeleteIs voting allowed again now, then?
ReplyDeleteSame place as you Clodagh except no SD yet.
ReplyDeleteA couple of places with cracks in the wall - need a hammer?
ReplyDeleteHi Austen - I think you'll find the SD in fairly plain view if you wander the rooms, but I'm sorry I can't explain where.
ReplyDeleteLoads of locked doors but no keys yet.
ReplyDeleteFound the same things as Clodagh but also found a doll's head. Not sure what to do that. Also used the crowbar on the ground and nothing received or found under it. Found 2 cracks in the wall but no hammer to use them.
ReplyDeleteFound a potion bottle in the library and used it on the skull in one of the bedrooms. That takes you to the 'store'.
ReplyDeleteMrs G, have you tried poking the doll with the SD? It doesn't do anything, but it passes the time until we work out what to do next...
ReplyDeleteI have tried poking the doll. Nothing. Going over the game again to see if I've missed something else.
ReplyDeleteThere's also useless (so far) skull and "somebody watching".
ReplyDeleteIn library on left side of the bookshelfs there is a potion...the SD is under the room where you've found the crowbar I think... when not it is in the same room :) you have to look carefully
ReplyDeleteLibrary Mrs G? Did you find a key, or was that a room I've missed?
ReplyDeleteThe SD is on a step below a wheelchair.
ReplyDeleteLibrary is 2x on the left from start view
ReplyDeleteA new Asylum for "almost Halloween"!! Going in...
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the library! Keep going left from the first scene to find it. I thought that direction ended with a locked door.
ReplyDeleteplease, where is the library? i think i am missing a view...except for potion, i am where you guys are. Hi everybody!
ReplyDeleteThe library is 2 rooms to the left of your start screen.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! Have you found the library now? There is also a puzzle box there on the table that has a 3x3 grid on it.
ReplyDeleteNo keys yet! Been over the rooms with a fine tooth comb and can't find anything new to use.
ReplyDeleteYeehaar!
ReplyDeleteFound the shop.
Just need an orb bottle now!
hey clodagh!! yes, just saw the previous posts, thank you! :) i wanna shop, but i need that orb collector first, i´d kill for a map, lol!
ReplyDeleteI found only a crowbar, I used it on a hatch... and nothing happens ! The game is really too dark.
ReplyDeleteSo far, I've found a SD, crowbar, potion, used the potion on the skull, cracked open the trapdoor with the crowbar(nothing there), a doll's head(don't know what to do with it), arrow direction clue, symbol clue and a grey box in the library. Anybody else find anything else?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the orb collector is supposed to be in that hole we crow-barred open in the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI have also the screwdriver, from the stairs (one room up from starting point).
ReplyDeleteI'm where you people are, got nothing to keep the orbs in... :-(
ReplyDeleteI think we're all stuck in the same place. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete...and yes, I'm quilty of poking the dolls head with the SD too.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a prize for the person who finds the next step - I'm sure it won't be me!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally stuck, I can't even use the screwdriver anywhere. No keys, no map, no.... nothing.
ReplyDeleteMy SD has no effect on the hole whatsoever!
ReplyDeleteseb, how?? i dont get anything by trying to put the sd in hole?
ReplyDeleteSeb, how did that work??? I tried that about a hundred years ago, and it doesn't work for me now either!
ReplyDeleteDarn, seb, thanks! Instead of poking dolls I should have poked something else!
ReplyDeleteBack to poking the doll with the SD now - a bit harder this time...
ReplyDeleteI can't use SD in the hole. Seb, how did you do that?
ReplyDeleteOk, mine doesn't work too. Going to restart... Maybe one of SDs typical beta-bugs probably?
ReplyDeletenope, the sd-hole combination is not working for me...gonna restart, maybe its a bug
ReplyDeletei think that game has a problem because I can see the blue key and thought use sd but nothing, game froze
ReplyDeleteretry and same thing
even after having restarted, its not working....
ReplyDeleteOh dear. SelfDefiant - please help!
ReplyDeleteI have just rerun and get the same as before.
ReplyDeleteSomething went wrong in Flash when I published it. It took out all of the hit areas. I fixed it. :) Sorry folks!
ReplyDeletehm, if none of us can stick the sd into the hole in the bathroom, maybe seb is the one having the bug?! just a thought, that doesnt change the fact that were all stuck...lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fix Selfdefiant - trying again now.
ReplyDeleteOk, I refreshed my game and the hole where the trapdoor was is now working. Used sd and found blue key.
ReplyDeleteThanks S-D.
ReplyDeleteRe-run 3!
Can't get the whole game to start anymore. Maybe gonne replay later. Bye folks...
ReplyDeletethank you!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteGet only black screen with "Lost Asylum" - and refreshed a lot of times!
ReplyDeleteNow we're cooking!
ReplyDeleteUsed blue key in door next to library, red/black/white clue is there. Use in box in library.
ReplyDeleteAh, dolls head does do something now!
ReplyDeleteFound orb jar behind blue key door.
ReplyDeletethanks SD I can catch the key now
ReplyDeleteNow after 20 refreshes it works and I got finaly the blue key
ReplyDeleteMine worked after restarting a couple of times. make sure you start a New game
ReplyDeleteThe game is pretty big, before the game loads it will be blank. It's because of Flash. I with it would show the pre-loader but it won't until it's at about 20% loaded. Hope you all enjoy!
ReplyDeleteStarting over too.....
ReplyDeleteLove that the portal store is in the skull head!!
ReplyDeleteAnd orb collector at last in room to the right of the library, using blue key!
ReplyDeleteCan you brighten it up some while you are debugging?
ReplyDeleteI can barely see the bars to click to get to the next scene.
Waiting till later to play to make sure it works.
Thanks for a big game for a change, Selfdefiant!
Where was the bottle Mrs G?
ReplyDeleteAnd 'mouse-over' collection too - makes up for all the fruitless clicking earlier!
ReplyDeleteNever mind.
ReplyDeleteFound it.
found red key, too :)!! now we are rolling....
ReplyDeleteAusten64 are you talking about the potion?
ReplyDeletewhere is blue key?
ReplyDelete...and a red and a blue gem
ReplyDeleteIt worked for me after restart... perhaps a bug
ReplyDeleteFlash crash!
ReplyDeleteRound IV coming up.
I am definitely going to enjoy my lantern.
ReplyDeleteFound red gem in the colour code box.
ReplyDeleteAquarius, see earlier posts about the bathroom, the crowbar and the SD...
ReplyDeleteMy flash keeps lagging :(
ReplyDeletehow to apply the bathtub clue to the books in H?
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking Mrs G but I meant the orb jar which I shot past once through the door!
ReplyDeleteMessage on the map - anagram, or will there be a piano?
ReplyDeletea piano is in the blue key room
ReplyDeleteOk I thought that was before the fix lol
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's the organ for the map hint.
ReplyDeletethe books and the bathtub clue? anyone? please?
ReplyDeleteok, worked finally after doing it a looooot of times :)
ReplyDeleteHammer in F.
ReplyDeleteOy! I cant play this right now for some reason! Good luck all I guess I will play at a later time!
ReplyDeletepurple key now after books code
ReplyDeleteMary, you may well be miles ahead - trying to catch you up!
ReplyDelete...and finally the hammer in F!!!
ReplyDeleteFound the red key, used the clue found on the bath on the books behind red key door.
ReplyDeleteUsed the lamp for green key behind purple key door.
ReplyDelete4-digit box in G. Remember the time at the organ.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone found a knife or something for the stiching in T
ReplyDeleteUse lantern to find red key in E.
ReplyDeleteUsed the clue from map on piano and got a silver key. Found matches in the dentist chair room.
ReplyDeleteIts in the wheelchair in P
ReplyDeletematches in L
ReplyDeletePink gem in box next to the wheelchair in room G. Found hammer in F.
ReplyDeletewith matches lit candles according to arrow clue for orange gem
ReplyDeleteLantern finds green key in R.
ReplyDeleteCrashed again.
ReplyDeleteCan I be bothered to restart AGAIN?
Used hammer on wall in room S and got gold key.
ReplyDeleteused hammer on doll head and got blue gem.
ReplyDeleteOH NO. The knife disappeared after I picked it up. I only have 1 crystal left to find and I'm sure that was it. I don't think I'm restarting again!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOrange gem from candles.
ReplyDeleteNeed hint for to lit the candles
ReplyDelete"it's dark and creepy in here" The whole game is dark! Froggie, which room has the knife?
ReplyDeleteOk, yes the knife disappears, but you're still holding it and it works. Just don't pick up anything else. Oh, and it's in P.
ReplyDeleteFroggie you have the knife, you just can't see it. Just put it in your inventory... missing the last gem, its the yellow one... running in circles, no more clues or something else
ReplyDeleteAnja, the hint for the candles was the green arrows in the room with the dolls head.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are still holding the invisible knife when you go to grab the green gem. It will appear when you put it in inventory.
ReplyDeleteknife in P. Weird it showed up again. this game is very glitchy.
ReplyDeleteAnja remember the green arrows in romm with doll head..
ReplyDeleteused SD on tile in Q. Use clue given in dental chair room.
ReplyDeleteSame place, no yellow gem. Going back around.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hints about the knife Chrissie - was beginning to panic!
ReplyDeleteAh got the candles am my last gem!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking for a pink gem? I think the one in the 4-digit box was purple.
ReplyDeleteBTW: yellow gem is in H
ReplyDeleteNo problem... I know this feeling... I feel this at the moment cause of this gem....
ReplyDeleteI don't have a pink. The last one must be either pink or yellow. There's a white one.
ReplyDeleteHAHA I am magic? I can cut with an disappearing/reappearing knife!
ReplyDeleteTHX Anja... you are my hero :)
ReplyDeleteThat organ sounds JUST like a piano! ;-P
ReplyDeleteCan't find where to place the blue gem - all the others are placed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anja! I thought I had checked every book.
ReplyDeleteBlue gem goes where piano is
ReplyDelete3rd flash crash.
ReplyDeleterestart VI.
Ah yes - thanks Lurker - it was the yellow one I was after, and found that in H behind a book thanks to Anja's hint.
ReplyDeleteFixed the knife.
ReplyDeleteyeeeehaaaaaaaa out... thank you everybody for the needful hints
ReplyDeleteThanks Anja... THAT was hard to see!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course thank you SD for a great new asylum game... This knife was funny :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anja!!!!!!! that was also my last one!!! :D that was fun
ReplyDeleteGood eyes on the blue gem's spot! Upper left, for those who can't see it.
ReplyDeleteBlue gem at back wall of piano.
ReplyDeleteAnd out!! Good game SD! :)
I had the knife disappear as well. Argh!
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you see that place for the blue gem Anja - amazing! For anyone else hunting in the gloom, it's top left behind the organ - very dark.
ReplyDeleteThat was great fun, even with the earlier glitches. Thanks SD!
ReplyDeleteCrashed yet again.
ReplyDeleteI give up!
Out with 15 orbs, lantern, hammer, SD, matches and a magic knife. Succesful afternoon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anja for the yellow gem hint and SD for the game...
I got a key in h but not a gem...
ReplyDeletewas so sneaky to find the location for blue gem
ReplyDelete@mel: it's nearly in the middle of the scene. Look where your Mousehand change
ReplyDeleteanybody want to spoil the 4 digit box code for me. I have found everything else on my own, but I must have forgot to write that down if I've seen it.
ReplyDelete@Dona: it's the time of the clock near piano
ReplyDeleteSPOILER ALERT
1505
Nevermind-I got it
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteselfdefiant :) Love Asylum games
Thanks Anja
ReplyDeleteWhere to put the blue gem?
ReplyDeleteBeen all around 2xs
ReplyDeleteFound it! Piano room
ReplyDeleteI can't even find the library. I have a blue key, but can't find where to use it
ReplyDelete@Zoe: blue key is used 1 left and 1 up from start scene. Library 2 left from start scene
ReplyDeleteWill somebody please give a hint on the candles please? Where do I start to lit? At the bottem left?
ReplyDeleteFound it! Out.
ReplyDeletecan't even find screwdriver. game too dark.
ReplyDeleteyes, too dark again, shame.
ReplyDeleteGood game as usual from SD, but TBH I have just about had it with games that are so dark. I play games to solve puzzles and I consider darkness to be akin to pixel hunting. Not fun, just frustrating.
ReplyDeleteToo dark!!! I went through that library several times (more like moved my cursor around the dark screen) and didn't see any potion, just a message saying there was nothing to find. Finally have a map and lantern after much frustration, so moving forward with hopes this will be more enjoyable now.
ReplyDeleteThese asylum games have been something I've looked forward to for as long as I've been coming here, but in the past you could locate the map by wandering around the first few rooms. For some reason SD has been making them very hard to locate. Not fun going in circles trying to find the map that you can't find because you are going in circles.
I can't find red gem anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anja!
ReplyDeleteSD - Whatever you did to make these playable again THANK YOU! No more script errors and crashing
I had a problem findinding a YELLOW GEM, eventhough I saw the comment that it is in room H: it is behind the books that are nearly the center of the game screen - that is almost in the middle of the center row of shelfs, the forth shelf from the bottom up (if you include the bottom not commpletly visable shelf)
ReplyDeletedoor for blue key doesn't say it needs blue key *doh
ReplyDeletecan't get the red/black/white box to open :(
ReplyDeletelate here will try again tomorrow
Jools I think you have to turn that red/black/white clue upside-down to work
ReplyDeleteI can't open the grey box in the library (room A). Is there a trick to it or is my box just a jerk? I have the clue from the organ. But it does not work.
ReplyDeleteUpside down doesn't work either.
ReplyDeleteHa! Finally got it. you have to mirror the clue.
ReplyDeletebuecher I've closed the game but what I wrote down (after going back and seeing I had to turn the paper around) was:
ReplyDeleteBRB
BWW
RBR
For those with too dark problems. I realize that we don't have the same screens, it's perfect on mine, sorry. It really isn't that hard to adjust the brightness on your screen. :) Mine is at half and I see it all perfect.
ReplyDeleteIf I adjust my display to play a game, it is a half hour process to recalibrate it.
ReplyDeleteI do graphic design on mine and it is calibrated to the same settings as every major graphics studio and print shop.
It is an "industry standard" so that what appears on my screen and what appears on the client's screen and what comes back from the printer's all look identical no matter which client I am working with or which print shop we use.
It is the same calibration that game makers use, so I was kinda surprised that this one was so dark.
I just assumed you calibrated your monitor regularly and made it this dark on purpose to make it harder.
I just looked back at the old Asylum games and it seems like they have been getting progressively darker over time.
So maybe your monitor is dying?
Thanks for your attention, and for caring.
I don't think anything is wrong with my monitors, they are new LED, backlit monitors, they are so bright I had to move them down to half. I play on my wife's laptop and it looks fine. The tablet's are all ok too. I test on multiple devices before releasing each game. I will make the next ones a little brighter. I want it to feel creepy but not impossible. :)
ReplyDeleteThe red black x clue has to be rotated 180 degress so the punch holes are on the left and the wide white margin is on top like normal school paper.
ReplyDeleteFor all the folks griping about being too dark - isn't that the point??? You are supposed to collect the orbs and go to the "store" and BUY a lantern. Then you see perfectly. I'm enjoying the game SD - thanks. Still looking for some keys but getting there!
ReplyDeleteIris, maybe it is the point.
ReplyDeleteI don't know.
Selfdefiant, as always your dedication sets the bar high for other game makers, and I appreciate that.
FWIW, new monitors are often the ones which are most out of calibration.
They deliberately set them so bright to impress you with how much different they are than the monitor you just got rid of, or to make the other monitors you have look bad so that you will maybe buy another one.
Thanks, again SD!
ReplyDeleteYour games always brighten my day.
AND THANKS TO ANJA for where to find the yellow gem and where to place the blue gem. I went through and searched each room at least 3 times, and still never found them on my own.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!!! I did lighten it up a bit, not sure if you noticed!
ReplyDeletethanks for lighten it up SD.
ReplyDeleteeh... in which room can I find the sunglasses?
;)
Completely lost now. I have the map, the lantern, the screwdriver, the bathtub clues, the arrow clues, the organ clues, sacred jar and blue and red gems. Cannot figure out how to use the clues on the books and make that work, and can't find anything else. Been over the rooms with a fine tooth comb and even labeled my map to know where everything is. Found the red key, but nothing else. HELP! I am almost ready to quit!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, nevermind. My game just crashed and I just worked about 3 hours on it! Not willing to start completely over. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt's a blo-dy game..geezo, SD I don't know why you still make these? all the moaners and whingers, why don't they stick to playing ENA games? Let's try playing one of their games, see how perfect it would be? Al that effort you put it, you put it on here for other peoples enjoyment..free I might add, and you get the moaning minnies out in force. Personally I'd tell them to go and play another game (that's the polite version)

What's worse, the whinging or the whinging about the whingers for, like 20 minutes?
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of kidding. I don't even know what the word whinge means. Nor do I want to. Doubt SD will feature your name on a game in appreciation of your defending him.
Thanks SD. Nice game. No complaints here. I won't even complain about the complainers.
kthxbai
Great LaChatonFou. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the game, as I always enjoy the Asylum games. I do fall in the category of needing lighter scenes. Thanks SD, as always!
ReplyDeletecheckers box code from organ room doesnt seem to work for me. only this left for finishing
