  1. Found a screwdriver and a crowbar so far, but no map and no orb-collector yet. Used the crowbar on a hole in the floor of the bathroom, but can't do anything with the hole.

  2. Is voting allowed again now, then?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Same place as you Clodagh except no SD yet.

    ReplyDelete
  4. A couple of places with cracks in the wall - need a hammer?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hi Austen - I think you'll find the SD in fairly plain view if you wander the rooms, but I'm sorry I can't explain where.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Loads of locked doors but no keys yet.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Found the same things as Clodagh but also found a doll's head. Not sure what to do that. Also used the crowbar on the ground and nothing received or found under it. Found 2 cracks in the wall but no hammer to use them.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Found a potion bottle in the library and used it on the skull in one of the bedrooms. That takes you to the 'store'.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Mrs G, have you tried poking the doll with the SD? It doesn't do anything, but it passes the time until we work out what to do next...

    ReplyDelete
  10. I have tried poking the doll. Nothing. Going over the game again to see if I've missed something else.

    ReplyDelete
  11. There's also useless (so far) skull and "somebody watching".

    ReplyDelete
  12. In library on left side of the bookshelfs there is a potion...the SD is under the room where you've found the crowbar I think... when not it is in the same room :) you have to look carefully

    ReplyDelete
  13. Library Mrs G? Did you find a key, or was that a room I've missed?

    ReplyDelete
  14. The SD is on a step below a wheelchair.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Library is 2x on the left from start view

    ReplyDelete
  16. A new Asylum for "almost Halloween"!! Going in...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ah yes, the library! Keep going left from the first scene to find it. I thought that direction ended with a locked door.

    ReplyDelete
  18. please, where is the library? i think i am missing a view...except for potion, i am where you guys are. Hi everybody!

    ReplyDelete
  19. The library is 2 rooms to the left of your start screen.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi Mary! Have you found the library now? There is also a puzzle box there on the table that has a 3x3 grid on it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. No keys yet! Been over the rooms with a fine tooth comb and can't find anything new to use.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeehaar!
    Found the shop.
Just need an orb bottle now!

    ReplyDelete
  23. hey clodagh!! yes, just saw the previous posts, thank you! :) i wanna shop, but i need that orb collector first, i´d kill for a map, lol!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I found only a crowbar, I used it on a hatch... and nothing happens ! The game is really too dark.

    ReplyDelete
  25. So far, I've found a SD, crowbar, potion, used the potion on the skull, cracked open the trapdoor with the crowbar(nothing there), a doll's head(don't know what to do with it), arrow direction clue, symbol clue and a grey box in the library. Anybody else find anything else?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Perhaps the orb collector is supposed to be in that hole we crow-barred open in the bathroom.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have also the screwdriver, from the stairs (one room up from starting point).

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm where you people are, got nothing to keep the orbs in... :-(

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think we're all stuck in the same place. Hmm.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  32. ...and yes, I'm quilty of poking the dolls head with the SD too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. There should be a prize for the person who finds the next step - I'm sure it won't be me!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm totally stuck, I can't even use the screwdriver anywhere. No keys, no map, no.... nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  35. My SD has no effect on the hole whatsoever!

    ReplyDelete
  36. seb, how?? i dont get anything by trying to put the sd in hole?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Seb, how did that work??? I tried that about a hundred years ago, and it doesn't work for me now either!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Darn, seb, thanks! Instead of poking dolls I should have poked something else!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Back to poking the doll with the SD now - a bit harder this time...

    ReplyDelete
  40. I can't use SD in the hole. Seb, how did you do that?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ok, mine doesn't work too. Going to restart... Maybe one of SDs typical beta-bugs probably?

    ReplyDelete
  42. nope, the sd-hole combination is not working for me...gonna restart, maybe its a bug

    ReplyDelete
  43. i think that game has a problem because I can see the blue key and thought use sd but nothing, game froze

    retry and same thing

    ReplyDelete
  44. even after having restarted, its not working....

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh dear. SelfDefiant - please help!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have just rerun and get the same as before.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Something went wrong in Flash when I published it. It took out all of the hit areas. I fixed it. :) Sorry folks!

    ReplyDelete
  48. hm, if none of us can stick the sd into the hole in the bathroom, maybe seb is the one having the bug?! just a thought, that doesnt change the fact that were all stuck...lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thanks for the fix Selfdefiant - trying again now.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ok, I refreshed my game and the hole where the trapdoor was is now working. Used sd and found blue key.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Can't get the whole game to start anymore. Maybe gonne replay later. Bye folks...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Get only black screen with "Lost Asylum" - and refreshed a lot of times!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Used blue key in door next to library, red/black/white clue is there. Use in box in library.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ah, dolls head does do something now!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Found orb jar behind blue key door.

    ReplyDelete
  56. thanks SD I can catch the key now

    ReplyDelete
  57. Now after 20 refreshes it works and I got finaly the blue key

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mine worked after restarting a couple of times. make sure you start a New game

    ReplyDelete
  59. The game is pretty big, before the game loads it will be blank. It's because of Flash. I with it would show the pre-loader but it won't until it's at about 20% loaded. Hope you all enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Love that the portal store is in the skull head!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. And orb collector at last in room to the right of the library, using blue key!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Can you brighten it up some while you are debugging?
I can barely see the bars to click to get to the next scene.

Waiting till later to play to make sure it works.
Thanks for a big game for a change, Selfdefiant!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Where was the bottle Mrs G?

    ReplyDelete
  64. And 'mouse-over' collection too - makes up for all the fruitless clicking earlier!

    ReplyDelete
  65. found red key, too :)!! now we are rolling....

    ReplyDelete
  66. Austen64 are you talking about the potion?

    ReplyDelete
  67. ...and a red and a blue gem

    ReplyDelete
  68. It worked for me after restart... perhaps a bug

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  75. Message on the map - anagram, or will there be a piano?

    ReplyDelete
  76. a piano is in the blue key room

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ok I thought that was before the fix lol

    ReplyDelete
  78. Of course, it's the organ for the map hint.

    ReplyDelete
  79. the books and the bathtub clue? anyone? please?

    ReplyDelete
  80. ok, worked finally after doing it a looooot of times :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  83. Mary, you may well be miles ahead - trying to catch you up!

    ReplyDelete
  84. ...and finally the hammer in F!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Found the red key, used the clue found on the bath on the books behind red key door.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Used the lamp for green key behind purple key door.

    ReplyDelete
  87. 4-digit box in G. Remember the time at the organ.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Has anyone found a knife or something for the stiching in T

    ReplyDelete
  89. Use lantern to find red key in E.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Used the clue from map on piano and got a silver key. Found matches in the dentist chair room.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Its in the wheelchair in P

    ReplyDelete
  92. Pink gem in box next to the wheelchair in room G. Found hammer in F.

    ReplyDelete
  93. with matches lit candles according to arrow clue for orange gem

    ReplyDelete
  94. Lantern finds green key in R.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Crashed again.
Can I be bothered to restart AGAIN?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Used hammer on wall in room S and got gold key.

    ReplyDelete
  97. used hammer on doll head and got blue gem.

    ReplyDelete
  98. OH NO. The knife disappeared after I picked it up. I only have 1 crystal left to find and I'm sure that was it. I don't think I'm restarting again!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Orange gem from candles.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Need hint for to lit the candles

    ReplyDelete
  101. "it's dark and creepy in here" The whole game is dark! Froggie, which room has the knife?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Ok, yes the knife disappears, but you're still holding it and it works. Just don't pick up anything else. Oh, and it's in P.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Froggie you have the knife, you just can't see it. Just put it in your inventory... missing the last gem, its the yellow one... running in circles, no more clues or something else

    ReplyDelete
  104. Anja, the hint for the candles was the green arrows in the room with the dolls head.

    ReplyDelete
  105. And you are still holding the invisible knife when you go to grab the green gem. It will appear when you put it in inventory.

    ReplyDelete
  106. knife in P. Weird it showed up again. this game is very glitchy.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Anja remember the green arrows in romm with doll head..

    ReplyDelete
  108. used SD on tile in Q. Use clue given in dental chair room.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Same place, no yellow gem. Going back around.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Thanks for the hints about the knife Chrissie - was beginning to panic!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Ah got the candles am my last gem!!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Looking for a pink gem? I think the one in the 4-digit box was purple.

    ReplyDelete
  113. No problem... I know this feeling... I feel this at the moment cause of this gem....

    ReplyDelete
  114. I don't have a pink. The last one must be either pink or yellow. There's a white one.

    ReplyDelete
  115. HAHA I am magic? I can cut with an disappearing/reappearing knife!

    ReplyDelete
  116. THX Anja... you are my hero :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. That organ sounds JUST like a piano! ;-P

    ReplyDelete
  118. Can't find where to place the blue gem - all the others are placed.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Thank you, Anja! I thought I had checked every book.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Blue gem goes where piano is

    ReplyDelete
  121. 3rd flash crash.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Ah yes - thanks Lurker - it was the yellow one I was after, and found that in H behind a book thanks to Anja's hint.

    ReplyDelete
  123. yeeeehaaaaaaaa out... thank you everybody for the needful hints

    ReplyDelete
  124. Thanks Anja... THAT was hard to see!

    ReplyDelete
  125. And of course thank you SD for a great new asylum game... This knife was funny :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thanks Anja!!!!!!! that was also my last one!!! :D that was fun

    ReplyDelete
  127. Good eyes on the blue gem's spot! Upper left, for those who can't see it.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Blue gem at back wall of piano.
And out!! Good game SD! :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. I had the knife disappear as well. Argh!

    ReplyDelete
  130. How on earth did you see that place for the blue gem Anja - amazing! For anyone else hunting in the gloom, it's top left behind the organ - very dark.

    ReplyDelete
  131. That was great fun, even with the earlier glitches. Thanks SD!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Crashed yet again.

    I give up!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Out with 15 orbs, lantern, hammer, SD, matches and a magic knife. Succesful afternoon :)
Thanks Anja for the yellow gem hint and SD for the game...

    ReplyDelete
  134. I got a key in h but not a gem...

    ReplyDelete
  135. was so sneaky to find the location for blue gem

    ReplyDelete
  136. @mel: it's nearly in the middle of the scene. Look where your Mousehand change

    ReplyDelete
  137. anybody want to spoil the 4 digit box code for me. I have found everything else on my own, but I must have forgot to write that down if I've seen it.

    ReplyDelete
  138. @Dona: it's the time of the clock near piano

    SPOILER ALERT
    1505

    ReplyDelete
  139. Thanks
    selfdefiant :) Love Asylum games

    ReplyDelete
  140. Where to put the blue gem?

    ReplyDelete
  141. I can't even find the library. I have a blue key, but can't find where to use it

    ReplyDelete
  142. @Zoe: blue key is used 1 left and 1 up from start scene. Library 2 left from start scene

    ReplyDelete
  143. Will somebody please give a hint on the candles please? Where do I start to lit? At the bottem left?

    ReplyDelete
  144. can't even find screwdriver. game too dark.

    ReplyDelete
  145. yes, too dark again, shame.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Good game as usual from SD, but TBH I have just about had it with games that are so dark. I play games to solve puzzles and I consider darkness to be akin to pixel hunting. Not fun, just frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Too dark!!! I went through that library several times (more like moved my cursor around the dark screen) and didn't see any potion, just a message saying there was nothing to find. Finally have a map and lantern after much frustration, so moving forward with hopes this will be more enjoyable now.

These asylum games have been something I've looked forward to for as long as I've been coming here, but in the past you could locate the map by wandering around the first few rooms. For some reason SD has been making them very hard to locate. Not fun going in circles trying to find the map that you can't find because you are going in circles.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I can't find red gem anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Thanks Anja!

SD - Whatever you did to make these playable again THANK YOU! No more script errors and crashing

    ReplyDelete
  150. I had a problem findinding a YELLOW GEM, eventhough I saw the comment that it is in room H: it is behind the books that are nearly the center of the game screen - that is almost in the middle of the center row of shelfs, the forth shelf from the bottom up (if you include the bottom not commpletly visable shelf)

    ReplyDelete
  151. door for blue key doesn't say it needs blue key *doh

    ReplyDelete
  152. can't get the red/black/white box to open :(
late here will try again tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  153. Jools I think you have to turn that red/black/white clue upside-down to work

    ReplyDelete
  154. I can't open the grey box in the library (room A). Is there a trick to it or is my box just a jerk? I have the clue from the organ. But it does not work.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Upside down doesn't work either.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Ha! Finally got it. you have to mirror the clue.

    ReplyDelete
  157. buecher I've closed the game but what I wrote down (after going back and seeing I had to turn the paper around) was:

    BRB
    BWW
    RBR

    ReplyDelete
  158. For those with too dark problems. I realize that we don't have the same screens, it's perfect on mine, sorry. It really isn't that hard to adjust the brightness on your screen. :) Mine is at half and I see it all perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  159. If I adjust my display to play a game, it is a half hour process to recalibrate it.
I do graphic design on mine and it is calibrated to the same settings as every major graphics studio and print shop.
It is an "industry standard" so that what appears on my screen and what appears on the client's screen and what comes back from the printer's all look identical no matter which client I am working with or which print shop we use.
It is the same calibration that game makers use, so I was kinda surprised that this one was so dark.
I just assumed you calibrated your monitor regularly and made it this dark on purpose to make it harder.
I just looked back at the old Asylum games and it seems like they have been getting progressively darker over time.
So maybe your monitor is dying?

Thanks for your attention, and for caring.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I don't think anything is wrong with my monitors, they are new LED, backlit monitors, they are so bright I had to move them down to half. I play on my wife's laptop and it looks fine. The tablet's are all ok too. I test on multiple devices before releasing each game. I will make the next ones a little brighter. I want it to feel creepy but not impossible. :)

    ReplyDelete
  161. The red black x clue has to be rotated 180 degress so the punch holes are on the left and the wide white margin is on top like normal school paper.

    ReplyDelete
  162. For all the folks griping about being too dark - isn't that the point??? You are supposed to collect the orbs and go to the "store" and BUY a lantern. Then you see perfectly. I'm enjoying the game SD - thanks. Still looking for some keys but getting there!

    ReplyDelete
  163. Iris, maybe it is the point.
    I don't know.

Selfdefiant, as always your dedication sets the bar high for other game makers, and I appreciate that.
FWIW, new monitors are often the ones which are most out of calibration.
They deliberately set them so bright to impress you with how much different they are than the monitor you just got rid of, or to make the other monitors you have look bad so that you will maybe buy another one.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Thanks, again SD!
Your games always brighten my day.

AND THANKS TO ANJA for where to find the yellow gem and where to place the blue gem. I went through and searched each room at least 3 times, and still never found them on my own.

    ReplyDelete
  165. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Thanks everyone!!! I did lighten it up a bit, not sure if you noticed!

    ReplyDelete
  167. thanks for lighten it up SD.
eh... in which room can I find the sunglasses?
    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  168. Completely lost now. I have the map, the lantern, the screwdriver, the bathtub clues, the arrow clues, the organ clues, sacred jar and blue and red gems. Cannot figure out how to use the clues on the books and make that work, and can't find anything else. Been over the rooms with a fine tooth comb and even labeled my map to know where everything is. Found the red key, but nothing else. HELP! I am almost ready to quit!!!

    ReplyDelete
  169. Well, nevermind. My game just crashed and I just worked about 3 hours on it! Not willing to start completely over. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  170. It's a blo-dy game..geezo, SD I don't know why you still make these? all the moaners and whingers, why don't they stick to playing ENA games? Let's try playing one of their games, see how perfect it would be? Al that effort you put it, you put it on here for other peoples enjoyment..free I might add, and you get the moaning minnies out in force. Personally I'd tell them to go and play another game (that's the polite version)

    ReplyDelete

  172. What's worse, the whinging or the whinging about the whingers for, like 20 minutes?

I'm sort of kidding. I don't even know what the word whinge means. Nor do I want to. Doubt SD will feature your name on a game in appreciation of your defending him.

Thanks SD. Nice game. No complaints here. I won't even complain about the complainers.

    kthxbai

    ReplyDelete
  173. Great LaChatonFou. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Enjoyed the game, as I always enjoy the Asylum games. I do fall in the category of needing lighter scenes. Thanks SD, as always!

    ReplyDelete
