  1. A new concept. Let's see how this one goes.

  2. yeah, sneaky... tasty anagram tho ;)

  3. Got the anagram. Looking for switches.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I think I had more of a clue what was going on while trying to open the can earlier but loving it so far!

  5. Up to the fish tank and stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Tried flipping up based on buttons, then down. Not yet.

    ReplyDelete
  7. To get past the first switches I just reversed them.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Tried doing the switches based on the grain of the wood. Still no luck.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Have no idea what I did, but there's now a blue button I can't press.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Turning the first buttons back to red is how I got the blue button, but still stuck with switches.

    ReplyDelete
  11. you'll see a piece of wood pop out on the upper left corner, go back and forth until another switch appears, then get stuck again ;-/

  13. Wow, where the red buttons were, a little piece sticks out of the top left. Toggle between the two screens until it turns into a switch.

  14. these fish are putting me to sleep <%)))){<

  15. Ok, I finally get that the horizontal grain is the 4 sides of the box and the vertical is the top and bottom. Aside from that, still randomly flipping the switches.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Not a good game when there are no clues and you have to randomly guess at what to do....sorry SD....not one of your better ones.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ooh, dudud produces a sliding piece on the top left of view to L of switches. Pressed button.

    ReplyDelete
  18. one of the blank boxes has a slide piece in the top left corner. slide it and then press the button

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh, and one on the opposite corner. Making both yellow changes the fish tank.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not the fish tank, the view to the left of it. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I cannot pass through the color star..

    ReplyDelete
  22. Found a hotspot on the 2-button side that isn't doing anything yet. Still looking for color code.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yay, slide it to right to reveal color code.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I thought that maybe the way that the green fish is swimming is a clue for the star but still cannot solve it..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Top "P" in colour code is purple not pink.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Press shapes in ascending number of sides order.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Now a blue slider in front of fish.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wow, it goes pretty quick after that. Click on shapes in order of points/sides to get a button. Keeps revealing more buttons and simple puzzles.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thanks for the hotspot hint. Little confusing felt like I finished by just randomly pushing buttons.

  30. OK here we go with an attempt at a walkthrough (E&OE).

From the start go right once and press button (G to R).
    Repeat the above once.

Right three times and press the button (G to B).
    The background changes to blue.

Do a full lap either way noting the letters which appear (five of them).
Right once and enter the anagram (easy to work out) in the code panel.

Reverse the revealed switches and go right twice pressing the buttons on the way (R to G).
Right twice more and you will see a fish tank.
Press the button under the tank (G to P).

Left twice and note the small block top left of the box.
Left once more and note the slightly larger block.
Alternate right and left until the block stops growing and you see a yellow button.
    Press that button.

Right three times and search for the three hotspots on the blank face (one screen to the right of the fish tank).
Top left and bottom right slider spots reveal buttons to press (G to Y) and the third (about half way from the centre to the bottom left corner) reveals a six letter circle.

Go left twice to see a six point star.
Change the points to match the letters in the revealed circle.

Go left twice and press the shapes in ascending number of sides order to reveal yet another button.
Press the button (G to O) and go either way three times.

Press the blue button under the fish tank and go right twice.
Note the positions of the dots in the circles.

Go left once and move the dots accordingly then press the switch.

Take the key and feel really happy that you were not one of the poor bewildered crew which stumbled their collective way through this excellent yet baffling puzzle.

    Thanks S-D.
That was great but can we please have a SSSG next?

  34. That was odd and I certainly could not do it. great job on the walkthrough Austen, but not much fun when I can't figure anything out on my own. Like SD's other games much better.

    ReplyDelete
  35. oh...finally...thx everybody !!! interesting idea :D

    ReplyDelete
  36. wow...I walked away for what seemed only a few minutes and a new SD game appears.......so excited!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I liked this....more please!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well that was different.

  39. Too bad Flash can't do 3D the way Unity does. It would have been cool (but more confusing) to be able to rotate the box in all four directions.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Once I got the hang of it...I loved it! Thanks SD

  41. BTW, the original position of the switches (at least in my game) is UDUUU, so when you reverse them, it becomes DUDDD. Like any gamer, I just started flipping the switches before noting the original position and then when I read the comment saying to "reverse the switches" it was, like, ooops! what were the original positions to reverse?!? This is also the only piece of information missing from the comments to let me be able to move forward on the quest. I had to restart the game because I wasn't sure. I now have a grille with 2 green buttons and once I go around and change the red buttons to green the fish tank appears! Thanks Austen64 for the walkthrough (box-through?)

  43. First SD game I haven't enjoyed EVER. IMHO none of the puzzles were intuitive or logical.

    ReplyDelete
  44. It was a bit different in style from the usual pick- up stuff and combine things, but with some hints and lots of thinking I got into it. Way to go for the new style.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh dear. That was too hard for my little brain. Thanks for the walkthrough.

    ReplyDelete
  46. And special thanks to Dean Girard for spoiling the switches. If you've messed about with them you're unlikely to remember the original postion to reverse.
