ReplyDeleteI played it and after I froze the waterfall with the charged ring, I used the club to get rid of it and went to the throne (?) room...then I went back to the cauldron and lit the candle and it stayed lit. When you see Jake...give him the bow tie and he gives you the staff. Then go to the door where the chains are and it is now open...go back to the frog king and give him Jake's staff and you get back to normal.

I think the gate where the chains are opens after you light three torches with the candle.

Nope. Mirror is wrong or you'll not know if left or right. Definitely the two E have to be turned 90° not 180° or mirrored.

ReplyDeleteI think charging the ring was just breaking the glass bulb around it with the club and then using the ring on the crystal.

ReplyDeleteI'm having the same issue as Jeff Scroggins. Got the staff from Jake. I go back to the door with the chains, which is now open with a yellow doorway. When I go into the castle, I end up back at Jake. I can't get to the frog king.
ReplyDeleteQuick walkthrough – in the beginning I tell you what screen, but at the end you should know it yourself. No codes are given (they are too easy and already in the previous comments)
ReplyDeleteScreen with bed: open the closet and take the bucket + take the match from under the bed (move the seat)
Screen to the left with bars: take the candle and poor the water into the cauldron
Light the candle with the match. Light the fire with the candle
Put the hot water in the bucket and cook the spaghettibars – go to upper screen
Go to screen with the snake picture – count the corners of the shapes + write down the colors of King Jake
Go to the most left screen and open the chest using the shape corners – take wooden sword
Go to the most right screen and kill the dust bunny – take the map
Read the map and look at the direction of the letters
Go a screen up – open the chest with the colors of King jake
Go a screen down and to the most left – cut the vines with the metal sword and take the key
Open the door and go up – light the candle where the weigh scale is.
Go to the right to the waterfall and take the marble. You will notice that the candle goes out because of the waterfall. You can relit the candle at the fire of the cauldron or at the torch. Put the marble on the weigh scale
Go down and to the most right (screen next to picture of King Jake) – a chest appeared with arrows. Apply the direction of the letters of the map and take the club
Break the glass of the blue crystals and charge your ring
Freeze the waterfall with your ring
Relight the candle on burning candle (weigh scale) or cauldron fire and then light the torch of the waterfall
Break the waterfall with your club and go screen up + light the torch
Go down again to the screen with the arrow chest and pick up key
Open the door to King Jake and give him the bow + take the staff
Go screen down and a gate will be open by now to escape the castle – go to the frog and give him the staff
how do I open the chest with 4 direction arrows?- mine do not rotate- they are just static.

i did get out!!! only because of AlphaOmega's hints. i for 1 really appreciate AlphaOmega and small-tools comments. and i miss a tell all walk through. after all that is what this site is defined as being. I get annoyed at anti-walkthroughter, they have the ability not to read our hints and walkthroughs, but i don't have the ability to finish every game without them....
