Smarties, you don't need to sharpen. You get your regular sword back and use it on the vines.

used club to break glass and recharged magic ring. but don't know what to do next. put red ball on hanging platform but I can't light torches either.
I think it's some kind of bug, beacuse sometimes it says lit candle and sometimes un-lit.
The water keeps putting candle out. I could relight it from fire at first but not anymore.
You could be right Urban. I get the lit, unlit too.

for me, the following worked:
I lit candle, went to waterfall (candle was doused), the I used the (charged) ring on water

my ring says unlit candle, too...went back and recharged it, same thing....SD is pretty good about keeping tabs on us, I'll come back when he fixed it....love these
checked walkthrough and that players candle just stayed lit. It did not go out when he went through spaghetti door.
Giving up til it is fixed.

first I lit candle with match from under bed, lit first torch, then lit doused candle again on that torch

Fixed it. :) Sorry, I didn't realize it would do what it did. I had the candle selected when going into the room.

Thanks SD. Just refreshed page and I didn't need to start right back at the beginning. Waterfall successfully frozen at last!
I started all over again and now i can't even lit the one torch that i could before.
The torches are full of bugs. We need a bug spray.
OK, club on frozen water. Light torch and then???
However, my candle is unlit and I can't relight it at the fire.

After the water turn to ice then I can't light the candle again
Have frozen the waterfall and broke it with the stone club, but can't light the candles still... It won't light the candle in my inventory anymore
Started from scratch again and it all worked this time.

Finally out, unexpected end for the happy snake ! thanks selfdefiant for the game I Love it despite of the buggs
I played it and after I froze the waterfall with the charged ring, I used the club to get rid of it and went to the throne (?) room...then I went back to the cauldron and lit the candle and it stayed lit. When you see Jake...give him the bow tie and he gives you the staff. Then go to the door where the chains are and it is now open...go back to the frog king and give him Jake's staff and you get back to normal.
Great series, SD!!! Lots of fun! (And thanks, as always, for being there when we find bugs - lol!!)
I think the gate where the chains are opens after you light three torches with the candle.
Same problem here with the candle not being lit ... refreshed and still same problem, then tried to restart New Game but now can't even get to game, blank screen? Not like you SD!!??

Arrow code is simply wrong.
Or the first S has to be mirrored or the two E has to be turned anticlockwise.
Nope. Mirror is wrong or you'll not know if left or right. Definitely the two E have to be turned 90° not 180° or mirrored.
Can't finish game. When I click the green castle then game takes me back to snake. I already gave him the bow tie and took the magic staff.

How can I charge the ring on the cristals ?
where is the club?? what did putting the marble on teh platform do other then lower it?
I think charging the ring was just breaking the glass bulb around it with the club and then using the ring on the crystal.
The club was in one of the start rooms, Putting the red ball made a codebox appear (with arrow code I think) somewhere there.
"Hey, son, where were you the last week? We didn't call missing persons, because we suspected you might just be in another graveyard or something."
Couldn't play any sd games, only blank screens? Waited about 2 hours, tried again NEW and finally finished game. Thanks SD.
I'm having the same issue as Jeff Scroggins. Got the staff from Jake. I go back to the door with the chains, which is now open with a yellow doorway. When I go into the castle, I end up back at Jake. I can't get to the frog king.
Quick walkthrough – in the beginning I tell you what screen, but at the end you should know it yourself. No codes are given (they are too easy and already in the previous comments)
Screen with bed: open the closet and take the bucket + take the match from under the bed (move the seat)
Screen to the left with bars: take the candle and poor the water into the cauldron
Light the candle with the match. Light the fire with the candle
Put the hot water in the bucket and cook the spaghettibars – go to upper screen
Go to screen with the snake picture – count the corners of the shapes + write down the colors of King Jake
Go to the most left screen and open the chest using the shape corners – take wooden sword
Go to the most right screen and kill the dust bunny – take the map
Read the map and look at the direction of the letters
Go a screen up – open the chest with the colors of King jake
Go a screen down and to the most left – cut the vines with the metal sword and take the key
Open the door and go up – light the candle where the weigh scale is.
Go to the right to the waterfall and take the marble. You will notice that the candle goes out because of the waterfall. You can relit the candle at the fire of the cauldron or at the torch. Put the marble on the weigh scale
Go down and to the most right (screen next to picture of King Jake) – a chest appeared with arrows. Apply the direction of the letters of the map and take the club
Break the glass of the blue crystals and charge your ring
Freeze the waterfall with your ring
Relight the candle on burning candle (weigh scale) or cauldron fire and then light the torch of the waterfall
Break the waterfall with your club and go screen up + light the torch
Go down again to the screen with the arrow chest and pick up key
Open the door to King Jake and give him the bow + take the staff
Go screen down and a gate will be open by now to escape the castle – go to the frog and give him the staff
how do I open the chest with 4 direction arrows?- mine do not rotate- they are just static.
arrows don't move - just click sequence till the end, then chest will open automatically

i did get out!!! only because of AlphaOmega's hints. i for 1 really appreciate AlphaOmega and small-tools comments. and i miss a tell all walk through. after all that is what this site is defined as being. I get annoyed at anti-walkthroughter, they have the ability not to read our hints and walkthroughs, but i don't have the ability to finish every game without them....

This was such a great series! My favourite one of these short game series you have created SD. (it could be a bit better thought, if one or two of the games in the series, that were the shortest, would be a bit longer)
