  2. Oh, I just told in the chat to post the game, too late! Happy New Year to you, glad I'm not alone.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Selfdefiant - I think you made a mistake with the red lamps which indicate what order you should push the buttons. In the game it's 3612745. I struggled for a while with it, but I gave up and looked at the walkthrough on youtube. Apparently you should press it 3416725, but that doesn't correspond with the clue in the game.

  4. I thought there would be another hint as it was too plain in sight...

Have gone to the scenes to the left and found a bucket and a guy who wants 25 orbs for a key.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yay...Thanks Selfdefiant!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Got the green key from the guy.

    ReplyDelete
  7. that's weird I can go up but then when I click on the map i'm in the same room???

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sharon, it's even weirder - map works fine for me using Firefox.

    ReplyDelete
  9. No, the clue of the flashing buttons isn't wrong, it's just clever! If you number the flashing buttons 1-7 from left to right, the numbers that flash in sequence are 3612745, but that's not the order to press them in. Take that number sequence, and where it says '1', press the button in the position indicated, so press position 3 on the box. Number 2 is in position 4 on the box, and so on.

  10. I have found a crowbar after using the green key but it's not used one the sewer.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Clodagh, that was exactly what I meant with those sneaky ideas from SD. Good find!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Clodagh - that was clever! Sorry SD for indicating that you had made a mistake ;)

    ReplyDelete
  13. I lit the oven in the upper left scene (no wood or sth else needed) and got a yin yang button for one of the three slots.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Looking for uses of the crowbar, knife, bucket, and flashlight.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Did find a need for a screwdriver in the 3-door room, very far left.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Where are the matches, or did I over look a comment?

    ReplyDelete
  17. there is a panel screwed shut left in room we used the green key

    ReplyDelete
  18. Matches are in the second row, second scene from the left, in the shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  19. In the pocket of the white lab coat. Forget which scene.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Torch in flashing light box

    ReplyDelete
  21. In real life everyone would use the crowbar for that panel.

    ReplyDelete
  22. OR, I could be wrong....lol I usually am! :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. Tried to beat some answers out of the cat-headed guy with the crowbar. No luck.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I that would have worked you'll just had found the corpse. I tried that 5 minutes ago.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I hit him with the knife and the flashlight as well.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hold back the violence people - we can get through this!

    ReplyDelete
  27. yes,down from 1 scene use crowbar

    ReplyDelete
  28. Cooking now. The SD is down there, bottom right.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Attention, if you go down there's a screwdriver, hard to see!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bucket of water down grate, go back into the sewer, another yin-yang. Now, where was the purple door again?

    ReplyDelete
  31. and take some water with you :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh, it's the middle of the 3 doors.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The code is on a board standing on the ground on the left of the scene where we clicked the colour-button box.

    ReplyDelete
  34. dark door from greenkeydoor :D

    ReplyDelete
  35. Got the third yin-yang from the 5-digit-box.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That gave me a golden key.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chuck the bucket of water down into the sewer grating. Going back underground to see what came out!

    ReplyDelete
  38. If anyone can't see the color code on the post, even with enlarging, let me know and I'll spoil it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have had 24 orbs for 20 minutes, I am about to beat myself over the head with the flashlight! lol

    ReplyDelete
  40. Horrible Daaaaaaaaoooooogggg!

    ReplyDelete
  41. K Stevens - save yourself! Did you get the orb above the creature's head?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh; I'm out! After the golden key it was easy.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Good luck, K. Some of them really blend in.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Horrible creeeeeeeaaature!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Another great SD game - some things seem to be so simple but others need dozens of broken heads to be found out. Thank you very much, Selfdefiant, a Happy New Year for your and Mrs SD!

    ReplyDelete
  46. And thank you all for your help, it was a great pleasure for me to play it together with you.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I did get the one above his head, but I am no quitter. I will find it!! hahaha Thanks people!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Evil laughter, K Stevens!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Fun to play with everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Go it!! Up one, over left room near roof!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Out, and it only took me 1948 seconds!!! LOL, totally worth it!

    ReplyDelete
  53. mariagrazia, the bucket is in the starry scene.
On your map all on the left, the middle one.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Out in 948 seconds - first time (and probably only time, lol) I've never had to check back here for hints. Gl ev1 :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Neat animated backgrounds.
Was there a point for collecting orbs after the first 25?
Kind of short for an "Abandoned" series.
Are you going to be doing the same thing with these that you did with the other games (i.e. short ones every day or two instead of big ones every week or so)?
Or is it just this one that was shorter than usual?
Either way, great vibe to this one, well done and very enjoyable!

    ReplyDelete
  56. not very realistic- anyone who has been to china and seen the pollution would not see a starry sky like that!
    Enjoyed it though- thanks SD

    ReplyDelete
  57. I can't play this game, I get about 5 mins in and the page turns white and I have to reload

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thands K Stevens that's exactly the one I had been searching for.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Great game SD :) Enjoyed playing it. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  60. Thanks everyone! The clue and the 7 button puzzle should be correct. I spent a lot of time making sure it was right. Just press the buttons in the same order the lights show. There's a long pause so you know it's the beginning. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Great game. Made me think. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Wonderful!!! Thanks again, SD, for so much enjoyment!!! You always rock!

    ReplyDelete
  63. my color bars don't work - what am I missing? 5 blue, 4 purple, 2 yellow, 5 red, 7 green....

    ReplyDelete
  64. estefani I think its 6 red

    ReplyDelete
  65. Trying to count the lines was annoying as they were so close together, not a fantastic game but enjoyable.

    ReplyDelete
  66. red is 6! I almost went blind on that one... Great game, SD! Really really enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thanks, and Happy New Year @SD! I really liked the way new rooms appeared based on certain accomplishments - nice touch. And a very Happy New Year to Mrs SD and to all the little ScrewDrivers!

    ReplyDelete
  68. This is unplayable for me because the box with the 7 green buttons is so laggy that I cannot get the buttons to press down when I click on them. It would have been good except for that.

    ReplyDelete
  69. tab key is active. It helps to find the orbs and hidden objects.

    ReplyDelete
  70. With the 7 buttons, I kept holding them till they turned red.

  74. Shame it's another dark game again.

And, the code, 3 and 6 other numbers were for me not corresponding to the lights or walkthrough above either but as written down by Zoni, 4rd post from top.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Happy new year!
Love the dark ones a lot.
    Thank you SD!!

Though this abandoned one is different from the others, it still has the typical SD asylum atmosphere. Remarkable: no jar for the orbs required. Seriously miss that. Move mouse over orbs seems nicer than to click, but minor complaint, both works fine.

Thanks to AlphaOmega (ΑΩ) for bringing letters to the map, and the walkthrough , and everyone else for your helpful comments. I was close to give up because of the lights. What a wicked mind, SD.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Great game SD, once again.
However...Yes, everyone, I understand about the eventual evolution of games of this type as I remember back to some of SD's first games all those years ago and the difference in where his process is now. Such growth!
I easily remember when there were no maps, no "room lettering" for all to be "on the same page," when posting clues about "what was where" was very difficult, etc.
    Anyway...
In this game, the Red Light sequence for the second actual code to get the flashlight brings up a thing to consider.
That being this: When is enough, enough in game clue evolution. Pretty soon will we have to figure out 3 parts, 4 parts, 5 parts etc., before getting to the actual individual clue in order to advance in the game?

Just on this gaming site I have seen, over the years, that there has been so much evolution in the "gaming clues process," that I see a time where there will come a time where one will not know when and where to "do a certain process" in order to continue in the game that many will just stop and just give up. Of course, there is the power of posting, POP, giving and receiving clues that help all of those who choose that course to get farther in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @ SD....I like the new graphic background.

    ReplyDelete
  78. This was a great change from the norm. EXCELLENT

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thanks for the nice WT ΑΩ

    ReplyDelete
  80. Red lamp sequence completely wrong, thanks to a commenter on here I got the ACTUAL sequence.
