ReplyDeleteScene 1 - Pick up Shovel, Smart Phone, and Wrench. Use Shovel on Key at bottom (for Rm 2). Use Smart Phone on the plane window for the key. Use Screwdriver (from Rm 2) on screw for Sharpener.
Scene 2 - Pick up screwdriver and drill. Use Screwdriver on screw for key (for Rm 3). Put an Ornament on the Puppy for a Bone to show up in Rm 5. Put the Bone on the Puppy for Rm 5 key.
Scene 3 - Pick up he Hammer.
Scene 4 - Use hammer on window to break glass for key.
Scene 5 - Use Wrench on the pile of gears at the top for some items. Puppy clue in bottom right; when you put the necklace on the puppy a bone will appear.
Scene 6 - Use Drill on red/blue/yellow thing on window for a Stone. Use Hammer on blue screen for a Crystal. Key on far right; use sharpener.
Scene 7 - Use screwdriver on right screw for a Monkey Carving.
It may very well be 'finishable' but not to a novice game player. What are the rules? Why don't the 'used' tools leave the toolbox, Why does the programmer have to use the TAB key to complete the Walkthrough? why do we bother?

ReplyDelete2. Used tools sometimes leave the toolbox; the most consistent thing about GB games are their inconsistency.
3. Using Tab is a nice shortcut to have as a fallback. I honestly prefer it as an option just in case.
4. I used to think that the biggest reason that people were drawn to GB games was because they were almost always bugged or flawed, and it was always very satisfying to finish a game in spite of these obstacles. Now that GB has eliminated most of these superficial flaws, the games are revealed to have a fundamental flaw of being rather boring, simplistic, and lacking in any real challenge other than testing one's patience.
