Hologrape - Lara Magenta is another point and click adventure escape game based on anagrams and developed by Hologrape. To move Lara, click on destination point. To collect objects, click or drag them to the inventory area. Clicking on an object you see a short description of it. Drag any object in the circle to anagram it. Once finding an anagram, the object transforms and you can use it. Sometimes you can also match objects. An object highlights when dragged on a point where it can be dropped to. Really couldn't figure things out, had to use tutorial before it would let me into level 1 and then got lots of stuff but no idea what to do, then stupid game froze at door handle.

ReplyDeleteI'm liking how developers are looking at new ways to deliver their games to us! I'm sure feedback to them will make it easier for them to pull away from flash and help with our constructive criticism. And they're still free!!!
ReplyDeleteI had no technical issues playing this game. Think it is a really good new idea although I did have to look at w/t several times to get the hang of it. Looking forward to the next levels. 5 stars from me for the idea and the concept

ReplyDeleteOops! Was doing pretty well, just got the rope from the tree, and when I went back to the hallway she walked offscreen and didn't come back.

ReplyDeletegame is made for native english speakers only, there are too many words used i´ve never heard before (for example "blot" instead of "blotch"; had to google what a carob is). beneath that it is possible to pick up a lot of things that aren´t needed - a very unnecessary way to confuse a gamer. also the description of an item changes when used for an anagram (for example "hair gel" becomes just "gel"). another confusing moment. resume: not any new idea is surely a good one; the realisation of this idea is sadly very, very poor!
