Unfortunately I cannot play this any more. Flash content seems to be blocked since today (2021/01/12). I have tried Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
ReplyDeleteWill there be any HTML5 solution?
Flash is now blocked by Adobe in all browsers.
ReplyDelete@Skeleton I know. But it would be interesting to know if games on this site will be playable without flash player in future or if old games will be converted like for example Selfdefiant did on Melting Mindz.
ReplyDeleteMy understanding is that now that flash is fully blocked the developers are unable to convert any flash games. Their is also no "magic" tool to easily convert Flash to HTML so the vast majority of flash games will simply disappear.
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteI just played it.
ReplyDelete...In Firefox....

ReplyDeleteI have Firefox, too. But I only get the end of life information for flash player.
ReplyDeleteBut when I just tried it in Chrome, I got a message that Flash was ended...so it will probably happen in FF as soon as I update it....
ReplyDeletenot updating flash
ReplyDeleteProbably automatic updates. EG24 is only a platform for the developers to post their games. If they haven't switched from Flash to a different engine for creating their games, such as Unity or Html5, they won't work any more on EG24.
ReplyDeleteThe end of flash was well known for a long time. I wonder why G2R has just developed another flash based game...
ReplyDeleteMost of the games are flash based...I can only see 5 that aren't....
ReplyDeleteI'm downloading Flashpoint Infinity a the moment to see if that works. I can't imagine life without G2R and others!
ReplyDeleteLet us know Tring-a-ling! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo effectively then, unless all the developers change to a new engine EG24 will shut down ?

ReplyDeleteIt baffles me. G2R and Wow and others knew this day was coming ye they seem oblivious to the fact that they're now putting games up that no one can play. I tried Flashpoint Infinity but that seems to only play games which have been archived to their site and unfortunately there's no sign of G2R or Wow there. Guess we'll have to do without our favorite games until someone comes up with a solution.
ReplyDeleteSD has already switched to a different solution. I have played several SD games at Melting-Mindz today.
ReplyDeleteAs Aldi says above, it doesn't make any difference to G2R and Wow as they won't recognise Flashpoint. We'll just have to wait and see if they change their settings to accept something other than Adobe.
ReplyDeleteI've been playing old Ainars games like 'Bad Memory Escape' recently but I can't even play those now. I shall have to find another hobby or look properly for a job!
ReplyDeleteThis was posted by SD on his page:\
ReplyDelete"I have great news! A friend in Germany found a way to keep Flash games running after the new year! There are still a few kinks to work out but it is working really well for the most part. You can play my latest game here and test it out for yourself! Saved data does not save and some of the nice filter effects are not working but that can all be worked out later. The fact that it is working even on my mobile phone is amazing! A big thanks to the people working on this and to my friend who found it and shared it with me! We will keep going strong!"
Maybe other developers can find the same thing
Cant`t play this game because of end of Flash. What now?
ReplyDeleteTried Chrome, Firefox, Avast Secure Browser, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Comodo Dragon. No luck, which means cannot replay old games, either, which is a bummer. Hope G2R and Wow, a few others, get their act together.
ReplyDeleteI counted five games that have stopped using Flash and are still playable: G4K, G2M, 8b, G2J and Amajeto. All the others, so far, have not changed. I hope they make the change and don't just go away....
ReplyDeleteOops...forgot the most important one....and of course SD's games still work!!
ReplyDeleteSD games work, but I am having trouble picking items up. I get an "Empty your hand first" error message, but I'm not holding anything.
