  1. Has anyone been playing Moorhuhn: Jewel of Darkness? I am on level 6 and cannot reach the keys or other goodies. Even level 2 has secrets but I can't seem to get past the boxes - do I use grenades or what? Thanks! Dorothy

  2. Did you ever get past level 6? I am stuck on 22 and can't figure out what to do. Don't have enough grenades to get the job done! Help!

  5. I am on level 89 and can't get through. I run out of life before I can kill all the monsters. Does anyone have a walkthrough for this one? As for the previous levels just hang in there. I had to do them as many as 10 times or more to get through. I am 63 so if I can do it so can you.

  6. Level 22 - Remember, using the spacebar to move something includes moving it upwards or downwards. Just make sure the bird is looking up or down. The rocks will move if they can, and explode the - well, just try it.

  8. Stuck on level 92. Dont understand how to get through tubes when they are blocked with stones. Done whole left side, killed all trolls but can't find a way to even attack skeletons! dianagay just start in one corner and lay traps for them and they will blow up selves

  9. I guess the easiest thing are the hardest to think of. I will try by laying traps and hope for the best.

  10. I'm on level 22 but only have 5 grenades and that isn't enough to get to the bottom. Is there a way to get more ammo? Every level starts with just 5.

  11. The trick to level 147 is to leave the initial room with 2 bombs. (These two bombs will be needed to blow up the two rocks on either side of the fire). Start by collecting all the objects possible with the exception of the coin in the top center. Note that the blue key is worthless but collect it anyway. Next, drop a bomb down to the center bottom. Go down to the bottom, place a bomb next to the rock on the bottom right next to the coin in the bottom right corner. Go up to the top and get the coin in the top center. Immediately go down to the bottom with the rocks falling on top of you. when you hit the bottom of the room, quickly go left to avoid being crushed by the rock. The falling rock should land between you and the bomb you placed. Hit the rock (spacebar) to blow up the bomb and three rocks. Go and get the coin in the bottom right corner. Place a bomb next to the bottom right rock (to the immediate left of where you just picked up the coin). Place a second bomb to the left of that one. Go up and drop a bomb down into the center bottom. This bomb should blow up the other two and allow you to exit to the right by getting another coin. Note that the rest of the coins in this room are not necessary in order to get the "all treasure found"

  12. I got thru 147 and am completely stuck on 148, there doesn't seem to be any way to move, the tunnel is blocked and there is no way to blow up the rock in front of it, any one out there know the answer

  13. Sorry, the last post I made was for level 148, not 147. The post tells you how to escape the initial room.

  14. I am stuck on level 129! There's no way to get to the 2 monsters at the bottom. Please someone help me! Thanks. Penny

    ReplyDelete
  15. Penny - on level 129, to get the only two monsters at the bottom, you need to use your grenades to clear a path down the center to the bottom. Then you need to drop a TNT barrel down the center (There should be one right above the center you can just go underneath and drop). This will clear a path for the monsters to escape. You can then either use any remaining grenades to get them or let them attack any remaining TNT barrels.

  18. The good news is that when you finish all 150 levels (and don't expect any big hoo-rah for finishing, this is German after all) you can click "New Game" and go back to any of the levels. If anyone needs particular help on a level, post it here to "catster" and I'll see if I can help.
(BTW, on the upper levels it's easier if you forget about treasures and just get the monsters.)

  22. Hi guys still stck on level 92, does aanyone have any time to give me a clue? cant seem to get over to right hand side

    ReplyDelete
  23. Level 92: The easiest way is to draw a map. You need to go from the original chamber left, then down, then up, then up again, then to the left, then to the right. You end up in the chamber with two metal boxes at the bottom and a rock that blocks the end of a tube. Drop a grenade on the right-hand metal block and the rock will be destroyed and you can get through.

  24. HELP!?!?!?!??! I've made up a new language cussing at this level!!! I need help with 78. PLEASE!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. re: Level 78 - That IS a toughie. I found a bit of success by touching the bombs that are near rocks (not dirt) to set them off. They seem to release fewer skeletons but still kill the ones trapped nearby. Chasing the skeletons around with bombs did not work well, but sometimes you get lucky. Also, setting off a bomb when a loose guy is near works, too, but the timing is SO tricky. Then, of course, dropping grenades on the buggers as they are on their downward run kills them better than when they are moving up, or trying to time it to hit one when it's moving horizontally. Sorry this isn't more help, but I think I was lucky (after LOTS of tries) more than skilful.

  26. I am stuck on level 46. There are a lot of bombs but I can only get 8 and that is not enough to kill all the monsters. Can someone help me??

    ReplyDelete
  27. Level 46: use the water to put out the fires. get the treasures. On the right side, go all the way to the top and into the chamber with the ton weights and grenades. Start at the top right - get the grenade, then go up and over and down to get behind the first ton weight and push it all the way to the right. Do this with about 4 or 5 rows of weights and grenades, then move carefully to get the rest of the grenades - remember, weights will fall down if you stack them. Get as many grenades as you can and you may need to use one to get rid of weights to get out at the bottom. Now go over where the monsters are and do battle.

  29. Uncle! Who has solved Level 122? The way the room with extra ammo is set up, everything explodes in a free fall before I can collect them. I can kill off the skeletons easily enough, but 4 or 5 grenades for 16 "fat alberts" in that traffic jam room is impossible! Any suggestions? Thanks lodes ~ pava

    ReplyDelete
  30. Never mind, folks. Level 122 extra ammo is all a matter of timing. Thank you, cgrwwest, for the way out of the initial room in Level 148. I thought I'd never make it! Anyone know if a sequel is planned?

  32. please, please can anyone help me with level 78.

    ReplyDelete
  33. In Level 78, you may have to sacrifice the treasure. First set off time bombs abutting three skeletons, or at least two, until none are still trapped. I spend a lot of time observing, to try to time the explosions to when the most monsters will be near. If the path is clear, I've found "walking" the bomb along during the countdown, side by side with monsters but slightly ahead, then retreating, can be effective if the skeletons don't suddenly change course in a traffic jam.

When only grenades are left, the survivors are usually spread out along a course around the edges. I stand on the floor near the righthand wall, waiting, then move right before an approaching skeleton stabs me. This makes it immediately move upward instead of making the full circuit. Some monsters I let go around the full path, stragglers I intercept, and eventually they start to come down the wall grouped closely together. Then I hover about three spaces above the floor and drop a grenade when it will hit two or three at once.

Does that help? Does anyone else have more clever solutions?

  34. has anyone noticed that if you restart a level you get to keep whatever points you got the first time? You could rack up some really high scores this way maybe.

  36. Hi Catster. You played al 150 levels? Perhaps you can help me with level 99.
    Thanks Ireen

    ReplyDelete
  37. ireen, until Catster replies, I have a thought on Level 99. Are you clearing a path so that the monsters have access to the ever-expanding blue blobs? The monsters will punch them, resulting in a cascading explosion.

If you keep the monsters from marching around in tiny circles, the last one eventually reaches a blue blob and socks it to finish the Level. No ammo is needed, just blue blobs and dumb, angry monsters.

    Does this help?

  38. Hello Pava
It did work. Id told me to use those black balls. I don't know what they are called and also I must be a little more patiend. Thanks for your help. I am now at level 123 and offcouse I am stuck but still trying. regards. Ireen

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ireen, are you having trouble getting out of the first room? For me, the trick is digging out the dirt in the center block of the second row from the bottom. Then the falling stones have somewhere to go. Just make sure you stay out of their way. Even then, I have to use a grenade to clear the passage tube, and lose a jewel in the process, so there is obviously a better solution if you're clever enough to find it.

After that, race past the falling impact bomb and get to safety. From there, the trick is to grab the ice bonus, to freeze all the monsters. I go ahead and stomp the two monsters in that room and go to the next, where I pick up the jewel and second ice bonus and then leave through the bottom tube before the impact bomb hits the ground.

I'm still shattering all the frozen monsters I can, but time is critical. Quickly get to the room with the time bombs. I find one I can push (down or to the right one square) so that I can pass by, collecting jewels and stomping the four monsters at the bottom.

I quickly shatter the four skeletons at the bottom of the next room and go on to the next without clearing the rest of the room.

You may want to shatter two monsters in that next room - whichever kind is harder for you to kill - and you might have time to get all four. But it's important to rush up into the first of the two rooms filled with "fat alberts." Stomp enough of them to get to the passage tube, and quickly make you way to the last ice bonus! That's the real solution. Then you can clear those last two rooms easily while there's new time on the ice clock. And finally, retrace your path to clear out the few monsters, jewels, and food that you left behind. Even if the ice has worn off, there are so few left, your small cache of ammo will be enough to finish the job. You might even want to go back into the first room and bomb the stones so you can get to those jewels on the floor.

Let me know if I left anything out - it's hard to remember once the Level is completed and I can't go back.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi Pava. Thanks for your help. I didn't know that I could shatter the frozen monsters without bombs. So I ran out of ammo. I hope I can ask for help again if I am stuck again in one of the next games. Ireen

  42. Catster or anyone!! I never did get past level 22. :( I've used the spacebar and pushed bombs and jumped on stuff, even tried pushing up but that doesn't seem to do anything. If someone can help me that would be wonderful. I haven't even tried to do anything for 2 1/2 months. Am I stupid??? ARGGH.

    ReplyDelete
  43. kssams, I wonder if it's a matter of where you stomp and hit the spacebar. Here are my level-by-level moves (grab jewels along the way):

    1. Push stone next to steaming impact bomb (I.B.), spacebar to detonate.

    2. You can push I.B. next to the other one and spacebar, but you'll suffer life points. Much better to stand 2 spaces away on Level 1 & release a grenade, which should slide down the opening and detonate I.B. Stand next to other IB & spacebar.

    3. Spacebar the stone into chain reaction. Repeat the grenade drop on right end.

    4. Spacebar the stone on left end. Repeat the grenade drop here, too.

    5. Push I.B. until skeleton is confined to a single space, then spacebar. Grab the cup of coffee - you need it by then.

    6. Repeat Level 5 technique using the stone. Then stand on the stone blocking the passage down & stomp.

    7. Repeat Level 5 technique with IB.

    8. Repeat both Level 6 techniques.

    9. Level 5 tech again here.

10-Left. Now it gets fun! Do NOT free the skeleton but clear treasures so you're standing on stone above far left monster. Stomp. Descent to the floor, face stone next to skeleton and spacebar. That should kill him and his buddy up-right. Then clear dirt on bottom right and stand there under stone, arrow up, and spacebar, so you zap "fat albert" & skeleton up-left. Quickly move left so you don't get hit by the falling jewel.

10-Right. Go to upper entrance and spacebar the stone. That should get all four upper monsters. If you don't care about the jewel on the floor, spacebar the stone to left of the right skeleton & stomp the stone above the left one. If you do want the jewel, stomp the left one first, which makes the imprisoning stone slide, freeing the last skeleton. He'll surf into the left room & ascend. Follow him over & up, then time it so you can hover in the second column from left when he's to your left. Then move down one space just before he stabs you, and when he heads down, drop a grenade on his head.

I hope that's not too detailed for you, but since you were stuck, I went for broke. By the end of the round, you should still have 1 or 2 grenades left. Happy stomping!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Pava, thanks for your help. I finished level 22 - yay!! I don't know what I was doing wrong. I basically already had done it the way you recommended. Perhaps I wasn't hitting the spacebar when trying to get rid of those stones on level 10. It had been so long I didn't remember. Thanks again!

  45. Please someone help me I have been stuck on 62 forever....

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sallyann, are you stuck on nailing the sand beasts or holding out to get all the treasure? I started at top right and shoved every other time bomb - the ones closest to the horizontal center of the chamber - against the right wall. If you move quickly, the next lower bomb gets to the wall in time for the released sand beast to punch it. That blast releases the next sand beast, and the process continues down the wall. This solution sacrifices a few monster "soul" baubles, so you may eventually want to come up with a more successful solution. I then went back to the remaining right-side bombs and pushed them straight into the corridors to gain access to the treasures.

I repeated the process on the left side, again using every other bomb but this time from bottom to top. Then quickly clear all the dirt in the upper left corner so the last sand beast won't walk into a bomb - we want him alive for awhile longer - and push the topmost bomb to the far right wall, where it will explode before the monster gets there, giving you time to set the other bombs and retrieve the rest of the treasures, and triumphantly plant a grenade for our last little beastie.

I hope this helps. Happy shoving!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hey, does anyone know how to get the top half of the treasure in Level 64? Dropping a single grenade doesn't reach the stone after the low treasure is retrieved, and double grenading destroys a gem as well as the stone. And with nothing but grenades, there's no way to blast the upper blockage, is there?

    Thanks.

  48. Pava, Catster or whoever, I have a question about level 32. As far as I can see, I have 4 fires to put out but only 2 blobs of water. What should I do? Thanks.

  49. Never mind...I figured it out!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Okay, now Level 50. All those skeletons and only 5 grenades. And I need to get a key, but I don't see how to get to one - haven't even seen one! Help!

    ReplyDelete
  51. kssams, I'm glad you figured out Level 32. Level 50 isn't that tricky once you know there's more ammo to be collected. Slip past each skeleton, working your way to the top. Then slide over and work down the other side. Below the bottom-right skeleton are layers of brick that need to be grenaded - timing is tricky so you're not too close at the first explosion. After that, you're far enough away not to be harmed. Keep bombing until you can get to the box of mines. I think I used 3 grenades.

Go back up and plant a mine for the skeleton on the long upper row, putting the mine where it will destroy the brick ceiling to the upper ammo & treasure chamber. I think there's one space that will get both the ceiling and the wall that blocks treasure on the right end of the long row. After that you have enough ammo to keep planting mines - near brick walls if you want the treasures - just get away before the skeletons run into them ... or you! If you're after treasure, remember there is some past a brick wall in the same chamber as the first box of mines. You'll need to place a grenade next to the wall, then drop your last grenade to chain-detonate the first one.

Being December 24th, let me wish everyone peace on earth and joy to you and all those you love ~ pava

    ReplyDelete
  54. Okay, NOW I really need help on Level 59. I can't figure out what to do. I've tried several things, but so far I can't get it done. Help, please!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ah, Level 59 is one of my favorite "Oh, you sneaky programmers!" levels. Here's my most manageable solution: clear as little dirt as possible, so you have a single pathway up the middle. Then go to the left and pick up the jewels, but leave the bottom dirt in place, and drop a grenade. This opens the lowest door for the sand beasts. Quickly get to the top and cross over so you've cleared the dirt and let the first stone fall next to you from storage chamber above. Then it's a matter of standing there and shoving when they get close enough to be hit.

By leaving the right side filled with dirt, you have more control over the onslaught. You literally don't have to "watch your back."

When the monsters from the left side are gone, go back and open the right beast chamber the same way, but again try to leave as much dirt in place as possible, and don't open up right-side access to the top row, so you're still shoving stones to the left.

Two good bits of news: there is treasure at the bottom of both monster shafts - just make sure you don't get trapped there by oncoming beasts; and if you use up all the stones, or push them down into the main room, there is ammo in the top corners of the upper chamber. But there are only 5 mines and 5 rockets up there, so make the most of the stones.

Do you know how to force the sand beasts out of their tight little circles when they've gotten confused? Toward the end, you may have to go down and get the stragglers on their way again. Just make sure you clear extra dirt on that top row so you can shove a stone to the right and still have room to stand to the right of the falling stones. If you have to go down to get the monsters moving, clear the dirt in the stone's falling path, so stones that miss their target can fall into the fire and not stack up, potentially walling you in.

  56. Thanks, Pava. With your help, I was able to get past this level - ugh! This game drives me NUTS sometimes!!

  57. - always glad to help, kssams. I'd like to meet the guys who dreamed up this game, wouldn't you?

I think we're the only two still using this forum, so I have an idea. The next time you're stuck, post your level number, then go into your Profile and make your email address visible for 24 hours. I'll send the answer directly to your eddress, and we can continue the journey without making this forum page longer.

How does that sound? You can set up a temporary account on Yahoo! or Hotmail if you're concerned about privacy - security is always important. I'm no big bad wolf, but there's no way to prove it in a blog.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Pava, I'd like to hit them on the head with a big stick! ...though I love the game because it can be challenging (just sometimes TOO challenging). If I do it five or six times and can't figure it out, that's too much for me.

I don't mind posting an email address. How do you remove a post? I attempted to do that earlier, but couldn't figure that out either. ;) It would be easier to get help by just emailing you, honestly, and then I wouldn't have to clutter up this site so much!

    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm not sure how to delete a post from this forum, even though someone did it on November 18th. There's bound to be a How To page somewhere on the blogger.com site, but I'm too lazy to look for it.

To edit your profile, click on your name at the top of one of your posts. On your Profile page, there's an option to edit what information you want available to your adoring fans.

I've changed my Profile for you, so grab my eddress and zap me a note that you have it. Then I'll go back and be mysterious again on my page. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  60. btw, kssams, don't let my eddress confuse you. I created an account especially for online registrations that I don't know about. Too often, signing up gives them the "right" to start sending you advertisements. When the junkmail gets too profuse, I kill the account and create a new one. It's like moving with no forwarding address - instant freedom!

  62. please help level 68 I have been stuck on it forever....

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sallyann, in Level 68, the Blue Key is in the left corner of the upper chamber. For me, the trick is to work up the right wall, freeing a few skeletons, then do a controlled release of the stones above so they fall on the monsters.

I keep going down, freeing a few more monsters, and letting a stone fall as they reach the wall and head down. Save your grenades for the stones that miss and end up blocking the blue door on the floor - just use as many stones as possible for ammunition.

Chances are, this information will be enough for you to finish on your own. If not, I'll be happy to fill in some more blanks for you.

    ReplyDelete
  64. THANKS PAVA....FINALLY GOT THROUGH IT...WISH THERE WAS SOME WAY TO SKIP SOME OF THESE LEVELS.

    ReplyDelete

  66. Thanks again Pava...Yes the purple bombs are great....

  67. I'm stuck on 148. I read the directions that were already posted but I can't finish the level. What am I missing after I get out of that first room. Particularly the room with the room spinner thingy. I just can't figure it out. Thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. The turner is the saving grace, Becky. It worked best for me to free all four(?) skeletons in the vicinity and clear all the dirt where they were trapped. Use the turner and stand under the turner while the stones fall. You can shove stones sideways as they fall if you want, and collect falling treasure, but the goal is to keep punching the turner and dodging while the stones kill the skeletons.

After the third turn, go into the next big room (now to the right) and drop a grenade to open the rock wall on top of the fire - if it's blocked by stones, turn four more times so more stones fall into the other room. Forget the bubble - turn four more times so the fire falls out of the way (and eats some stones, too).

The last two chambers need some thought. They're not impossible, just dangerous. I think I went back to the turner twice for better maneuvering, until I could reach the second turner without harm.

That should get you through. If not, I can do a more detailed walk-through. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Can anyone help me with level 141. I can't tell how to dependably blow up the weights. I end up blocking myself. Any suggestions would be gratefully received! Dolly

    ReplyDelete
  70. In Level 141, Dolly, use the weights as ammo against the sand beasts. Use a technique similar to the one that works for Level 47, where you push a ton left and shove-blast monsters, then turn around and push one to the other side.

I found it easiest to push to the left first. Then when going to the right for the first time, push the ton only two spaces over, leaving one blank space to the right for the beasts to move in. Then stand in the square between that ton and the tons waiting to fall down the shaft, wait for the left-side beasts to come close and then shove-blast them. Then repeat the process for the monsters in the righthand chamber.

Save your grenades for the treasure rooms in each of the four corners. Just punch the room turner at the top of each ton shaft so you can use the same ton-shove technique on the next group of monsters.

Will that get it for you, Beth? Post again if you're still stuck.

  71. Hi, I noticed that a question for all the treasures in level 64 has not been answered. I think the only way to get the treasures on top is to go up to the bomb and then move down one step. This makes the bomb drop on your Moorhuhn and you get your paws to the treasure.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Kristina, thank you! I never thought about letting a bomb drop on myself, but it works. And the round is short enough that there's no danger of losing all the life points - very clever!

    ReplyDelete
  73. pava, you are amazing! Help me please!! I have been stuck on level 102 forever. I have to kill 39 skeletons but can't get any of the extra ammo. I keep blowing it all up! I love the game but am very frustrated with this level.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Help...with level 57. I do not know how to use the balloons as weapons. At the bottom where you come in the level I can get them to blow up but then thats it Help

    ReplyDelete
  75. You're too kind, Karen! For me, solving Level 102 was a matter of planning. You have to know the blast area when you shove stones (shove being an attack, not just pushing aside).

Work down from the top, very carefully. When I played 102 just now, I had very good results shoving the second stone from the top, the one indented one more column to the right. Then I waited for one of the freed ones to surf down on the same row as the exposed stone at far left, then stood behind it and shoved - one less monster.

Trying freeing the skeleton nearest the mines - when the area above him has been cleared, shove his roof over and let him out. Then you can retrieve the mines with no blast.

I worked across the top and had fantastic results by shoving the top stone to the right, then stomping the one I was standing on. Then I use any exposed stone for shoving in a monster's face, so I need fewer grenades and mines.

That should get you started, Karen. If you need a booster, I'm here. Good luck!

  76. Jeanne, the key to using bubbles as weapons is simply shoving them, by using your spacebar, into the monster on the opposite side of the bubble. In this case, you have to stand under a bubble and push your up arrow first, then hit the spacebar. A spacebar without establishing which direction you want to shove does nothing.

Work up the middle, popping all the monsters directly above you - just be sure to dodge falling stones! Then I worked the sides from the top down, planning each bubble shove so that it got at least one sand beast but didn't free any others. Experiment a bit until you learn the size of the blast zone. If one or two do escape, you still have grenades and plenty of extra bubbles floating around to shove into the monsters as they pass by.

Please let me know how that works for you.

  77. Hi there! Can anyone help me? I am stuck at level 101. I can't seem to free all the sand monsters from their cells and end up with no ammo and too many expanding frogs. Any hints? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Cynthia, Level 101 is wicked! The trick is to free both the sand beasts and the expanding blobs and wait for the sand beasts to punch the blobs, which hopefully will free more beasts and blobs.

I used one or two grenades to get started, then put a grenade in a carefully planned spot so that a sand beast would punch it and open up more beasts and blobs. Sometimes I had to plant the fourth grenade, and sometimes not.

I found that starting near the left side was more successful than the right, and the blobs in the middle of the room expand faster than the ones near the walls, which can get out of hand if things aren't planned and monitored very carefully. It did help to wait for the blobs to multiply once or twice and then drop an overhead ton on one of their heads, aiming for a blob that would free more monsters when exploding.

Get the idea? Use the blobs and tons as bombs, and let the sand beasts destroy the blobs, the rock walls and themselves.

There's a treasure room at the very top - just don't be shy about dropping tons to keep the blobs under control, and wait until close to the end before you try it, so the blobs don't take over the whole room while you're up there.

(I never thought of the blobs as frogs, but you can make a good case for it - very clever!)

  79. Thanks to Pava, I cleared level 101 and also played all the way to Level 150! I am redoing the whole game, this time trying to get all the treasures. I find that certain levelsl ike lvl 76 is very hard to get all the treasures. Did anyone get all the treasures?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Congrats, Cynthia! Finishing feels good, doesn't it?

I had some problems with treasure, too - mostly where it's surrounded by bombs on unstable surfaces. I can't see any way to keep bombs from falling and destroying the goods before I can reach them on Levels 64, 122, 127, 131, 142 & 148.

I'd love help with Level 77, too. I've finished it several times, but I always lose the bubble in the bottom room. I use bubbles for the fires in the upper left chamber and the sand beast chamber just below the upper room, but I'm stumped on how to get the other bubbles into position to open the other chambers. Body squelching takes too many life points to reach the keys. Does anyone know how to ace this level?

My other frustration is Level 135, trying to save the bubble from falling bottle bombs. Any suggestions?

Moorhuhn seems one-of-a-kind. I searched the site of the German developers, but none of their other games is similar, and there is no sequel. Does anyone know another game like Moorhuhn?

  81. Dear Pava

I agree that this is really one of a kind game. It is not like other causal games that you play once and you get bored. I have given up doing the treasures at lvl 77. But Lvl 78 is equally frustrating. Always end up with not enough bombs to kill the last 5 skeletons. Do you have any tips.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Cynthia, catster left suggestions for Level 78 on 3/11/07, and I posted a more detailed strategy on 21/11/07. If you need more, let me know. Good luck!

  83. I'm stuck at level 77. I can get some bubbles free but not in a way that I can get to the keys or the extra ammo. No problems killing the three first monsters to the left.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Dear Cougarina

This is what I did to get all the treasure and moved on.

You need to free the first bubble and maybe another one from the side. Use the bubble to put out the fires for the blue key and the one with the monster chamber. There is no point trying to free the bubbles at the bottom as you will find it is booby trapped by the exploding flasks. Instead expsose them and use it to kill the stupid sand monster. As far as possible, try to all kill the monsters WITHOUT using any extra ammo. You can do it without using rockets - so don't waste any bubbles going there. Use all the bombs and weights skillfully - you can do it. When you are down to the last 2 monsters, walk through the fire to get the red key and get the treasures. Don't need the yellow key as long as you have the red and blue ones. Be careful that you have at least 40 life points as you will get very hurt.
    Hope this helps...happy playing

  85. Has anyone here played Beetle Junior 2? Most popular download sites no longer carry it (my trial file is from November, 2006), but I found it today at http://www.bluesquad.com/usa/prod.php?pid=1141

Beele Junior 2 which has 101 Normal Pack and 92 Hard Pack levels. What seems odd is that most of Moorhuhn's levels appear in BJ2 with only a change of monster and weapon images.

BJ2 adds some other features, like tornados that move objects far away and a potion that shrinks monsters, letting you gobble them up. They add some fun twists.

Thanks to my Moorhuhn experience, I've done very well. But I've been stuck on Hard Pack's Level 81 for four days and am desperate to find someone with a walkthrough or at least a hint!

    Can anyone help?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hey There!

Pava, I'm downloading BJ2 now. thanks for sharing about it. In the mean time, I'm replaying Moorhuhn and for some reason am stuck on 122. I was able to do it last time by myself but for some reason I can't seem to do it this time. Any hints on that one? When you have a chance, I'd appreciate it! Can't wait to try BJ2!

  87. Hi, Becky, I think the trick to Level 122 is getting the ammunition at the top of the upper left room where the skeletons are. Use the top entrance tube to grab the ammo, then go back in the bottom tube to clear the dirt under the first skeleton, and bug out. Everything will collapse and explode by itself.

The rest is mostly a matter of timing and dodging the sand beasts in between launching rockets and dropping grenades.

I like to leave the single skeleton in the lower right room until the end, so I know I have enough ammo for the main battle.

Does that help, Becky? I can go into more detail if you need it.

  88. Follow-up to my Beetle Junior 2 post:

The game is cool in that you can click to play any level without having completed the ones before it!

So I've finished them all except for the three that have me stymied: 81, 87, and 92. Levels 87 and 92 are mostly a matter of skill and timing, I think, but I haven't found the right combination to make them work yet. Level 81, however, seems to be impossible.

    All suggestions are welcome!

  89. Pava, I played the free download of it last night. I haven't gotten my hubbie to ok buying the whole version yet. I'll keep working on him although knowing how much help you've given me I'm sure I won't be able to figure it out if you didn't! LOL :o)

  91. Hey, Annie, you need all the bubbles, so play carefully how to maneuver them to put out the fires. It may help to know that bubbles can be pushed through dirt -- you don't have to clear the way first.

Does that help? Let me know when you make it!

    ReplyDelete
  92. bubbles were easy.... i just run out of life and firepower before monsters

    ReplyDelete
  93. Annie, I tried to get a monster and open a jewel chamber at the same time. Each of those four chambers has a mortar round, which makes the ammo go farther. This is one of the levels where it's hard not to sacrifice some of the treasure just to get through.

As much as possible, I used the other "weapons" instead of grenades. Punch or stomp a stone to get a skeleton; release a sand beast and let him punch a bottle bomb. You might be able to place a grenade in such a way that it keeps a skeleton trapped until a sand beast can punch it, eliminating both with one weapon.

As cara said in her 17/9/07 post above, laying traps is the safest way to go. Just be as far away as you can when the explosion goes up. Are you collecting the "soul" baubles when a monster gets zapped? They restore a couple of lifepoints, which may be enough to get you through.

If you need more, Annie, I'll try the level again and post a more detailed walkthrough. Good luck!

  99. I am stuck on level 128 - can anyone help?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Wigsey, Level 128 is a total maze. Collect all the ammo along the way and be very frugal. Multitask as much as you can, like using one rocket do zap a skeleton and open a stone blockage at the same time.

Down the first long shaft, go ahead and grab the stuff at the bottom, then move quickly up one space so the falling stone doesn't hit you hard. You'll still be under it, but then arrow up and hit the spacebar. The stone will be airborne long enough that you can quickly move up and to the left, so you're no longer trapped. You need that extra ammo and can't afford to spend a grenade to get it.

There's at least one long horizontal passage where you must clear dirt only as far as a stone in the floor, then use a rocket. If you clear all the dirt first, you'll have to use a mine AND a rocket to destroy the stone.

I had to restart this level a number of times before I got it right. If you plan and time things carefully, you'll come through it okay.

If you need more help, post again, and I'll do a more extensive walkthrough. Good luck!

  104. mdlady, do you know you can stomp or shove a frozen monster to destroy it? No ammunition needed - cool, huh? That was the missing info for at last one other player on this forum, so I thought I'd mention it first.

I have a detailed walkthrough dated 1/12/07, about a third of the way down on this page. See if one of these posts are enough to reach the end.

    ReplyDelete
  107. hunter, can you tell me more? I'm not sure where the problem lies. Do you know you can destroy frozen monsters without ammunition?

Move next to a monster (right, left, above, or below), press the arrow key toward the beast, and hit the spacebar. No ammunition needed at all! Shoving up will give you access to that upper room where you were stumped before.

In case you haven't found it, there is another ice timer in the last room, up the tube, past the fat sand beasts and into the room on the right. Get there before the first ice timer runs out, and you can get rid of most of the monsters without using any ammunition.

I can post a full walkthrough if you need more. I suspect you'll be okay now, knowing how to eliminate monsters without ammo. Good luck!

  108. level 123 fat alberts in top room to left i did freeze them but one is at entrance and wont let me in even with freezing them can you post walkth thanks

    ReplyDelete
  109. Go up the tube and stand in the space directly below the sand beast. Press your Up arrow one more time, just to be certain. Moorhuhn will push up but not be able to move forward. Then hit your spacebar, just like you would if you were launching a weapon. That makes Moorhuhn shove the frozen beast, and the beast will be shattered.

Try one more time, hunter, and see if it won't work for you. I really think you have the rest. It's just a matter of shattering as many monsters as you can while they're still frozen.

  110. thanks pava got pass 123 having trouble with 145 help please thanks

    ReplyDelete
  111. Oh, hunter, level 145 is nothing short of demonic! I had to try it several times before I found something that works without a lot of risk from those blue Expanding Blobs (my term for them). Here are the notes I took for the next time I play:

First get the Sand Beast to the left. Go left in the middle row above you, then up the tube, and push the stone into the fire. Collect the upper treasure if you want, then push the bubble into the fire.

Go down to where you started and clear the dirt ONLY in the row to the right. Stone-shove the Expanding Blobs, then quickly dig below and to the left to the turner. Turn once, return and drop a grenade on the Expanding Blobs, then grenade the rock wall.

My next note says "set up and grenade Skeleton," but I suspect that may mean to plant a grenade that a released Sand Beast will punch, destroying them both. I'm sorry I don't have time to replay the level for you now, especially since I'd have to play from Level 141 forward to reach it.

Do NOT release the Expanding Blobs in other side! Instead, return to the initial shaft that is now a horizontal row. Free the Sand Beasts in the upper columns one by one. There is plenty of ammunition above each monster, so you can plant grenades or mines to get rid of the beasts.

If you want the rest of the treasure, before you release the last Sand Beast, go back and push the turner twice. You can then collect the treasure in other end of the long shafts where the sand beasts were. The stones will have fallen out of your way.

Then hit the turner two more times and finish off the last monster.

I know it's complicated, but I hope it helps. If any of this is unclear, I'll be happy to answer questions or try to explain it differently.

    Good luck!

Buona fortuna!
