  14. For 43, is it maybe EMINEM's godchild? or does the maggot reference maybe have something to do with Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Aimee - If I said ice was fresh water then where would you find a lot of ice?

    ReplyDelete
  19. #43 the starting clue was purple pillS.

The pills in the photo ARE nexium, I guess he could have use prilosec, just as long as they were purple pills.

So eat your M&Ms and solve it already =)

    ReplyDelete
  23. i'm stuck too, probably '8 mile' away looking at a charachter winking at me

    ReplyDelete
  24. Bobo, hmm dont know how much more I can give away...
I can say that probably everyone on this board has at least seen or heard about the godchild.

when you look at per say the ingredents of purple pills, it should reference another work of art... something cinematic in nature.

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  25. i thought the matrix, neo, the one purple pills= red and blue, i dunno anymore... help please?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Mick, I didn't mean to mislead you but, it isn't 8mile. your on the right track so to speak, lyrically speaking that is. Now if that references something else, ride that train to the next stop.

    Wookie B.
    Who loves ya baby!

    ReplyDelete
  27. oh you are kidding me, 43 was insane!! how on earth you got there on your own wookie ill never know

    ReplyDelete
  28. I got past Purple Pill lvl, still have no idea of the connection! Just Googled famous godparents, and she was first godchild I tried ;0)Perhaps Wookie could explain more, without giving it away?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think wookie has given some good clues for 43 but if you're still stuck, follow these steps:

    SONG>GROUP>FILM>CHARACTER>ACTOR>GODCHILD

    The steps should follow logically.

    ReplyDelete
  30. pinky, yeah it was a royal pain...

the pills mention a film, in the film there is a character with a name that should be quite particular to this question. then you can go from there.

    Wookie B.
    Who loves ya baby!

    ReplyDelete
  31. thanks for the love, wookie ;p but now i'm skipping tracks of m&m songs in my mind :(

    ReplyDelete
  32. FINALLY!! thanx for the help :))

    ReplyDelete
  33. And now we have another question to get stuck on...
    Oh well, Nevermind...
    :-p

    ReplyDelete
  34. soo anyone got anywhere with the nirvana one?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Only got that Nirvana covered a song by The Wipers called "return of the rat"

    ReplyDelete
  36. Stuck on 41. I can't find the guys home team.

    ReplyDelete
  37. skynet

find out where he was from...then find out the name of the team that plays there

    ReplyDelete
  38. I saw that too Das, but not sure.
I've just been reading about remote control rats being controlled by electrodes on the Nirvana centre of their brain. Brilliant!
Probably not the answer though! :-D
    Any other leads?

    ReplyDelete
  39. There is also a movie "return of the rat" and there is a reference to "Rat-Catcher" because of the pest control... I also thought of the Pied Piper of Hamelin because of the child that is trapped on the Never mind cover

    ReplyDelete
  40. also movie called 'the pest'

    ReplyDelete
  41. John Lequizamo, who "starred" in The Pest, also played a Rat in Doctor Dolittle.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Lvl 39 (i think)

    The Beatles album cover.

Who wrote the original poem, i have found RS, but says it is incorrect.

I am all out of ideas. HELP ME PLEASE

    ReplyDelete
  43. If I remember correctly, RS is the right answer...are you using his whole name or just the initials?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thill, I am using the whole name. I have typed it and copied/pasted it about 50 times.

    Thanx anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  45. i think you have to write the whole name on the beatles one, not just initials (but i might be wrong, it's saturday night ;p as well)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Level 44 -
    Don't overcomplicate this one...
you shouldn't have to look too far for the rat.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Mick and Thill

I am typing 'Robert Southey', is this correct? I am going insane here!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. This is the correct answer. If you're still having problems use the level 40 code which is:

    cnagbfbqn

    Decode with the ROT13 convertor.

    ReplyDelete
  49. you got it right there, linsmac... something strange going on

    ReplyDelete
  50. Doh! Got all excited then, thought I'd found it, Nirvana - Buddhism - Buddhist rat - Master Splinter of Teenage Mutants! But no :0( Any more little clues?

    ReplyDelete
  51. haha, i love 30nights comment 'don't overcomplicate this one' lol... thanx for the tips and the beautiful puzzle

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ok, I'm getting confused now! If that's the rat I'm thinking of the sex pistols album now!

    ReplyDelete
  53. and I found a connection to Pearl Jam lol

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh! ha ha! It was actually very obvious!
To find the answer you should look within...

    ReplyDelete
  55. oh my word, we really were overcomplicating it! This puzzle's done bad things to our brains!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh really?

Damn, I have got every Nirvana album and cannot get through this riddle...

    ReplyDelete
  57. it's always obvious after you found the answer, dem (well, most of the times) any hints to put us on the right track????

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanx mick and 30nights, i had to use your code.

    Lvl 40, at last! Phew!

    ReplyDelete
  59. write down the name of the album and stare hard at it!

    ReplyDelete
  60. well, not the right track Mike, but the right album, which I'm sure you know the name of. Now have a close look at the name and find the rat!

    ReplyDelete
  61. and pinky ! (don't mean to spam)

    ReplyDelete
  62. No worries! I'm slightly embarrassed that I read so much about remote control rats now :-D
Now can you help me find the cost!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Dem,

    Couldn't find it on Wikipedia...try a Google search...There's a helpful fan page.

    ReplyDelete
  64. can anyone help me and give me the password for level 42? i forgot to write it down and accidently backed out!! im so upset!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. oryybjgvtre # 4+... somewhere around that, sweetstuff

  66. It looks like we're back to the teenage mutant hero turtles Pinky! lol.
I impressed myself by knowing what this statue is. Now how does it link to blockbusters and what is the number?

    ReplyDelete
  67. dem: i know the statue and the sculpture, what do you mean with the 'blockbusters' link??

    ReplyDelete
  68. thanks mick but it didnt work....:(:(:(

    ReplyDelete
  69. very good, dem! I thought of Blockbusters too. From the title I thought maybe something to do with David & Goliath. Could the letters be musical notes? Tried playing em on piano, but didnt recognise.Prob overcomplicating again, sigh!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Sweetstuff -
The code for level 42 is:

    oryybjgvtre

    Use a ROT13 convertor.

    ReplyDelete
  71. thanks 30!! ok...so how is everyone doing!

    ReplyDelete
  72. sorry, sweetstuff, i did post the exact code, did'nt mean to distrat, or just a bit ;p

    ReplyDelete
  73. lol!! thats ok!! that is just me!! hehe

    ReplyDelete
  74. Did you ever watch blockbusters mick with Bob Holness? It had hexagons just like that.
Do you think the shape the hexagons make is relevant?

    ReplyDelete
  75. thankx, dem, but i'm belgian and i don't even watch tv, so a big dunno

    ReplyDelete
  76. I am going to bid you all goodnight.
Good luck with the rest of the puzzles (oddly there is 52, so you're nearing the end). I hope you are enjoying them - look out for part two! This is my first attempt at an online riddle so I am looking for any feedback(positive or otherwise), I will try to iron out the problems for next time!
Thank you for taking the time to play my puzzle.

    ReplyDelete
  77. 30 nights, i really loved your puzzle, it was at times difficult, but with some forum help we managed... i espescialy loved that each puzzle could be solved by reasoning logically and explained afterwords.. some are a bit hard for non native english speakers perhaps

    ReplyDelete
  78. 30nights, I've never played an online game for 3 days solid before, it's a fab puzzle, can't believe it's your first! I think the fact there are 694 comments on this blog so far tells you there are a lot of people gripped! Thanks :0D

    ReplyDelete

Ashlee, Google top hat tuxedo voodoo.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I somehow don't believe that there's a connection to that Blockbusters show.
I wonder if the colour blue has something to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Pinky, thank you so much! My gosh, I saw that name on one of my searches but I didn't think that would be it, goodness! Thanx again :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  89. HAHA! Did anybody of you click on David's "male thing" in lvl 45? It doesn't help to find the answer but it is a little laugh.

  103. #45 is a tough. I haven't solved it yet. I do notice that there are 3 blue squares and 14 white ones. 3.14 is Pi, as for the other blue number, not a clue.

Anyone else get by it yet?

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm still on 45. maybe digging too deep but...

    the blue number is 233811181

statue of a famous biblical character. That character has a famous passage in the bible about him its number is 23. in that verse, the following is true...
    the #3 word is IS
    the #8 word is NOT
    the #1 word is THE
    the #11 word is WANT
    the #81 word is MY

verse 3, 14th word is NAME

    Odd. something to chew on.

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Well I'm glad to see that I have woken up not to find that everyone has finished, but you could have made some more progress on 45 for me :-p

Could people stop posting the actual answers on here, I think it ruins it for others.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Nice number crunching wookie, this is tough.

I'm not sure whether to go down the David and Goliath track or Michelangelo.
I really can't get the numbers to do anything, I was hoping the other clues would offer a solution. I've tried squinting at the hexagons, I'm sure the shape they are in is significant.
    Any other ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  107. #45 still

I put the number 233811181 into a calculator and converted it to Hexadecimal. That spelled a word that made a question... ******* by whom?

I googled that and found something that happened in 1991. I put the guys name in, and doesnt work.

Might be on the wrong track, but hexagons, and hex code...

    Wookie B.
    Still chugging along...toot toot

    ReplyDelete
  108. Hi!

I need some help with the fresh-water-question.
I know where the most ressources of fresh water are (north and South), but I don't get the right solution. I don't find the right term.
    Can anybody help me?

    Sylvia

    ReplyDelete
  109. Got it wookie. There are several spellings of his name on the internet, only one of them worked. Drop the "t".
    Moving swiftly on...

    ReplyDelete
  110. i'm still stuck on 45, i know the word and the question, but i can't find what it is referring to.. any more hints?

    ReplyDelete
  111. I googled the entire hint - **** by whom? (and the name of the statue) It happened in 1991. I was difficult to find. I had to look on every page. Found it on a page that said Only in Italy.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Are the initials PC? I didn't use caps.

    ReplyDelete
  113. i had the right answer, must have misspelled it, it was without caps

    ReplyDelete
  114. IT's exasperating....

Could someone please help me to find the right term on the fresh water question? Where is the majority of the world's fresh water?
i know the right answer but don't find the exact term. First letters would be helpful.
    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  115. For 46 there are quite a few random pictures. I was starting to think that some of the shapes of the pictures look like letters, but I couldn't get any words out of it that way. Any more ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  116. i've been googling 'record breaker', cause i'm not getting anywhere with the pictures, but no clues yet

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  118. t.rex, queen ,corn ,blur ,garbage, rhcp ,hole ,the doors,... (got this from a hint on another forum) but how are they linked together, i also don't get some of the other pictures or bands

    ReplyDelete
  119. Thanks Mick. I've got most of the bands now, but there are so many I don't know what the connection is.
I thought the answer was going to be the blurred out pic, but obviously that is just "Blur".

    ReplyDelete
  120. there are still 7 bands that i don't get

    ReplyDelete
  121. #46 seems to be bands of musicians...

Got so far is as follows: (missing like 5) spelling might be off.

FIRST ROW: T-rex, oasis, cranberries, madonna, garbage

Second Row: ???, the monkees, ???, Fine young cannibals, queen

Third Row: the jets, blur, slipknot, iron maiden, the doors

Fourth row: Eminem, U2, the who, red hot chilli peppers, hole

    Fifth Row: Korn, ???, poison, ???, ???

I dont see the rolling stones or greatful dead on there anywhere.

    Anyone add to the list?

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  122. second row: soccer player is zidane, zz's top.. ;)
    fifth row: n.e.r.d.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Could the last one on the bottom row be the village people? I think they are from the film the village, but I've never seen it.
So... what's the connection? How does knowing all of these help us?

    ReplyDelete
  124. Can someone please help me with #27? I've read all the clues but the I can't get a connection between the 12 pictures. What does it have to do with bingo?

    ReplyDelete
  125. bottom one is Yello i think

    ReplyDelete
  126. solved 46, was wrong on some of them...

row 2, is xray specks, the apes, zztop, fine young canibles and queen.

row 5 is korn, n.e.r.d, poison, Limp biscuit(probably not but you will figure it out) and the village people.

    Hope this helps...

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Tra - if I remember correctly, that is the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  128. ok just found it as well... WHY so difficult, or easy? ;p

    ReplyDelete
  129. Ok, am I on the wrong track? It looks like every letter is represented except one (a?).
So I'm looking for a band?
Help, I want to finish today!

    ReplyDelete
  130. But you have the wrong one

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  132. any ideas on 47?? do the rings refer to the olympics? it's not exactly the same symbol though

    ReplyDelete
  133. Blimey, after all that it could have been a 50:50 choice!
    Thanks for the help all.
Any luck on 47? Do you recognise the animal tracks?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Well the animal tracks could be a panther based on the name given.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Got 47. He did something quite a controversial at the games!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Hmm - i thought I'd tried that. Maybe I mispelt.

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  141. But what colour is the panther wookie? Radical!

I'm not getting far on 48, although the pictures seem to refer to hymns or songs.

    ReplyDelete
  142. you're on the right track, google olympics, black panthers... you'll get two names, but it's the other guy in the race

    ReplyDelete
  143. Dem and mikos, thanks, got it...on to #48

    Wookie B.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Symbol Simon is some kind of a board/card game. Not sure if that points us in the right direction. Also got the name of the bird referred to in Latin, but that seemed to be a dead end as well.

    ReplyDelete
  145. anyone have a clue on how the pics are related or what they stand for?

    ReplyDelete
  146. The bird is a Wandering Albatross and I read on another forum that the 5th picture is a broken chess piece, looks like a pawn.

    ReplyDelete
  147. pic 1: albatross; song title and reference to ancient mariner maybe.

pic 2: his got the whole world in his hands song

pic 4: colours of the rainbow (song)

    pic 5: inkwell?

    simple simon rhyme...

    argh. I dunno

    ReplyDelete
  148. pic 5 is a broken chesspiece

    ReplyDelete
  149. Pic 5 is definitely a broken chess piece, 30Nights said so on another forum...the hat seems to be a Pork Pie hat

    ReplyDelete
  150. There's a B.B. King song called Mr Pawnbroker

    ReplyDelete
  151. pic 3:'you can leave your hat on'? ;p

  152. please help with level 41, I can't figure out whose hometown I'm looking for. googled two ponies, found donald tusher, but that didn't seem to work......thanks

    ReplyDelete
  153. The symbol with the three balls above the airplane one is a pawnbroker symbol.

    ReplyDelete
  154. So, it look like a lot of the symbols match up. Do we want the one that doesn't?

    ReplyDelete
  155. I still need help with #35. I turned my head to one side. The picture looks like an ear and i have typed in every possible answer relating to it. Could someone please just give me the answer?

    ReplyDelete
  156. I have read all the clues regarding the asteroid question but I still don't get it. what high score? can someone just tell me the answer pls. it's level 31

    ReplyDelete
  157. tra - it's an animal. Once you've got the animal, finish the quote.

conrad - google asteroid and the numbers, you'll get a famous person, who invented him

    ReplyDelete
  158. @skynet
thank you now i can finally move on. hopefully :)

    ReplyDelete
  159. lvl 48: there are 26 symbols, maybe they represent letters again??

    ReplyDelete
  160. ok, so let's say the symbols are letters. I'm trying to link each pic with a symbol now.

    pic1: ?
    pic2: ?
    pic3: ?
    pic4: pink triangle
    pic5: pawnbroker symbol
    pic6: snowflake

So far that gives me ???keo
    not a word. Damn.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I like the way your thinking but that's not a snowflake... maybe another symbol would be more suitable.

    ReplyDelete
  162. can anybody can help me with question 26.vixen p.iii. i dont get it.from what i read it must be a male thing.lol

    ReplyDelete

I have discovered the name of the inventor, what he invented, the city he was born in and the city he lived in. I cannot fathom how the picture represents a keyboard and am thinking that this is somehow the key to the answer. I have read through all 700+ posts, but nothing helps me to know if I am on the right track....city of Latham's birth? I have a load of housework I have to get stuck into this morning and I simply can't drag myself away from this puzzle as it is annoying me too much!! LOL...thank you!
