ReplyDeleteno, havent gotten any further on 43 yet...just making sure that no one else has gotten any further..without telling me...now does the purple pills have to do with a song or the actual purple pill?
ReplyDeleteA member of D12 was called Bugz, does that have any connection maybe?
ReplyDeleteGeeze louise...43 was a bear to solve. The path is multi layered...
ReplyDeleteHINT: the godchild is an actual living person.

4)Character Y's real name is Z
5)Z has a godchild named ...the answer...

Wookiebush
For 43, is it maybe EMINEM's godchild? or does the maggot reference maybe have something to do with Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers?
ReplyDeleteplease i need help - i cnt think of anything else to put for #19 part 2!
ReplyDeleteim going mad - and im stupid
(y am i playing this then?)

i still don't 'get purple pills lead to title X'???
ReplyDeletein #43, are the pills nexium pills?
ReplyDeleteAimee - If I said ice was fresh water then where would you find a lot of ice?
ReplyDelete#43 the starting clue was purple pillS.
ReplyDeleteThe pills in the photo ARE nexium, I guess he could have use prilosec, just as long as they were purple pills.
So eat your M&Ms and solve it already =)
Wookiebush
thanks
ReplyDeletei had been putting the right answer in - jut forgetting the capital letter!
wookie, little more help please, i know who you're refering to but cant seem to find anyone with a godchild??
ReplyDeleteok how stupid am i - iv bin reading the comments and im now stuck on #21 - the 999 light things - i need a hint if anyone is kind enough to give me one before i get admitted to the mental institute and spend the rest of my life in a rocking chair saying 999 over and over agin! please help me
ReplyDeletei'm stuck too, probably '8 mile' away looking at a charachter winking at me
ReplyDeleteBobo, hmm dont know how much more I can give away...
ReplyDeleteI can say that probably everyone on this board has at least seen or heard about the godchild.
when you look at per say the ingredents of purple pills, it should reference another work of art... something cinematic in nature.
Wookie B.
i thought the matrix, neo, the one purple pills= red and blue, i dunno anymore... help please?
ReplyDeleteMick, I didn't mean to mislead you but, it isn't 8mile. your on the right track so to speak, lyrically speaking that is. Now if that references something else, ride that train to the next stop.
ReplyDeleteWookie B.
Who loves ya baby!
oh you are kidding me, 43 was insane!! how on earth you got there on your own wookie ill never know
ReplyDeleteI got past Purple Pill lvl, still have no idea of the connection! Just Googled famous godparents, and she was first godchild I tried ;0)Perhaps Wookie could explain more, without giving it away?
ReplyDeleteI think wookie has given some good clues for 43 but if you're still stuck, follow these steps:
ReplyDeleteSONG>GROUP>FILM>CHARACTER>ACTOR>GODCHILD
The steps should follow logically.
pinky, yeah it was a royal pain...
ReplyDeletethe pills mention a film, in the film there is a character with a name that should be quite particular to this question. then you can go from there.
Wookie B.
Who loves ya baby!
thanks for the love, wookie ;p but now i'm skipping tracks of m&m songs in my mind :(
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! At last!
ReplyDeleteFINALLY!! thanx for the help :))
ReplyDeleteAnd now we have another question to get stuck on...
ReplyDeleteOh well, Nevermind...
:-p
soo anyone got anywhere with the nirvana one?
ReplyDeleteOnly got that Nirvana covered a song by The Wipers called "return of the rat"
ReplyDeleteStuck on 41. I can't find the guys home team.
ReplyDeleteskynet
ReplyDeletefind out where he was from...then find out the name of the team that plays there
thanks thill
ReplyDeleteI saw that too Das, but not sure.
ReplyDeleteI've just been reading about remote control rats being controlled by electrodes on the Nirvana centre of their brain. Brilliant!
Probably not the answer though! :-D
Any other leads?
There is also a movie "return of the rat" and there is a reference to "Rat-Catcher" because of the pest control... I also thought of the Pied Piper of Hamelin because of the child that is trapped on the Never mind cover
ReplyDeletealso movie called 'the pest'
ReplyDeleteJohn Lequizamo, who "starred" in The Pest, also played a Rat in Doctor Dolittle.
ReplyDeleteLvl 39 (i think)
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles album cover.
Who wrote the original poem, i have found RS, but says it is incorrect.
I am all out of ideas. HELP ME PLEASE
If I remember correctly, RS is the right answer...are you using his whole name or just the initials?
ReplyDeleteThill, I am using the whole name. I have typed it and copied/pasted it about 50 times.
ReplyDeleteThanx anyway.
i think you have to write the whole name on the beatles one, not just initials (but i might be wrong, it's saturday night ;p as well)
ReplyDeleteLevel 44 -
ReplyDeleteDon't overcomplicate this one...
you shouldn't have to look too far for the rat.
Mick and Thill
ReplyDeleteI am typing 'Robert Southey', is this correct? I am going insane here!!!!
This is the correct answer. If you're still having problems use the level 40 code which is:
ReplyDeletecnagbfbqn
Decode with the ROT13 convertor.
you got it right there, linsmac... something strange going on
ReplyDeleteDoh! Got all excited then, thought I'd found it, Nirvana - Buddhism - Buddhist rat - Master Splinter of Teenage Mutants! But no :0( Any more little clues?
ReplyDeletehaha, i love 30nights comment 'don't overcomplicate this one' lol... thanx for the tips and the beautiful puzzle
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm getting confused now! If that's the rat I'm thinking of the sex pistols album now!
ReplyDeleteand I found a connection to Pearl Jam lol
ReplyDeleteOh! ha ha! It was actually very obvious!
ReplyDeleteTo find the answer you should look within...
oh my word, we really were overcomplicating it! This puzzle's done bad things to our brains!!
ReplyDeleteOh really?
ReplyDeleteDamn, I have got every Nirvana album and cannot get through this riddle...
it's always obvious after you found the answer, dem (well, most of the times) any hints to put us on the right track????
ReplyDeleteThanx mick and 30nights, i had to use your code.
ReplyDeleteLvl 40, at last! Phew!
write down the name of the album and stare hard at it!
ReplyDeletewell, not the right track Mike, but the right album, which I'm sure you know the name of. Now have a close look at the name and find the rat!
ReplyDeleteOh, rofl, thanks! ^^
ReplyDeleteyeajjjj :D thanx, dem
ReplyDeleteand pinky ! (don't mean to spam)
ReplyDeleteNo worries! I'm slightly embarrassed that I read so much about remote control rats now :-D
ReplyDeleteNow can you help me find the cost!
Dem,
ReplyDeleteCouldn't find it on Wikipedia...try a Google search...There's a helpful fan page.
can anyone help me and give me the password for level 42? i forgot to write it down and accidently backed out!! im so upset!!
ReplyDeleteoryybjgvtre # 4+... somewhere around that, sweetstuff
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we're back to the teenage mutant hero turtles Pinky! lol.
ReplyDeleteI impressed myself by knowing what this statue is. Now how does it link to blockbusters and what is the number?
dem: i know the statue and the sculpture, what do you mean with the 'blockbusters' link??
ReplyDeletethanks mick but it didnt work....:(:(:(
ReplyDeletevery good, dem! I thought of Blockbusters too. From the title I thought maybe something to do with David & Goliath. Could the letters be musical notes? Tried playing em on piano, but didnt recognise.Prob overcomplicating again, sigh!
ReplyDeleteSweetstuff -
ReplyDeleteThe code for level 42 is:
oryybjgvtre
Use a ROT13 convertor.
thanks 30!! ok...so how is everyone doing!
ReplyDeletesorry, sweetstuff, i did post the exact code, did'nt mean to distrat, or just a bit ;p
ReplyDeletelol!! thats ok!! that is just me!! hehe
ReplyDeleteEverybody's stuck at 45?
ReplyDeleteDid you ever watch blockbusters mick with Bob Holness? It had hexagons just like that.
ReplyDeleteDo you think the shape the hexagons make is relevant?
Yep!
ReplyDeletethankx, dem, but i'm belgian and i don't even watch tv, so a big dunno
ReplyDeleteI am going to bid you all goodnight.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the rest of the puzzles (oddly there is 52, so you're nearing the end). I hope you are enjoying them - look out for part two! This is my first attempt at an online riddle so I am looking for any feedback(positive or otherwise), I will try to iron out the problems for next time!
Thank you for taking the time to play my puzzle.
30 nights, i really loved your puzzle, it was at times difficult, but with some forum help we managed... i espescialy loved that each puzzle could be solved by reasoning logically and explained afterwords.. some are a bit hard for non native english speakers perhaps
ReplyDelete30nights, I've never played an online game for 3 days solid before, it's a fab puzzle, can't believe it's your first! I think the fact there are 694 comments on this blog so far tells you there are a lot of people gripped! Thanks :0D
ReplyDeletehi guys... I really need help on something so lame as the name of the voodoo creature that has cotton plugged in his nostril...pls helppppp :(
ReplyDeletelvl 45 - discounting Blockbuster link, grid wasn't that big, only ever 5x4 hexagons.
ReplyDeleteAshlee, Google top hat tuxedo voodoo.
I somehow don't believe that there's a connection to that Blockbusters show.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the colour blue has something to do with it.
Pinky, thank you so much! My gosh, I saw that name on one of my searches but I didn't think that would be it, goodness! Thanx again :)
ReplyDelete30nights this is an awesome riddle. Not too frustrating and eventually logical answers! Funny too :-D
ReplyDeleteI just wish I could finish it soon so I can get on with my life! :-p
Goodnight all, don't finish without me!
does anybody have the answer to the buffalo bill question?who has a voice based on bills?
ReplyDeletethanks
Can someone please put me out of my misery and tell me the answer to level 17 Who's skull is this? (picture from Silence of the Lambs). I've tried everything and cannot get it.
ReplyDeleteThanks
lynda.just google famous painters.its a 4 letter word.i am on question 17 and cant find the answer.
ReplyDeletetanja_1211, it's a character from the Family Guy - one of the sons. Does that help?
ReplyDeletethanks tanja - mental block!
ReplyDeleteDid you work out the Family Guy clue?
HAHA! Did anybody of you click on David's "male thing" in lvl 45? It doesn't help to find the answer but it is a little laugh.
ReplyDeleteno i am working on it right now.let me know if you find out.
ReplyDeletelynda
ReplyDeletei found the answer to the question.did you find the answer to the number 17?
yes I did thanks, now trying to work out the egg yolk one.
ReplyDeletewhat question is that 19?what was the answer to question 18?
ReplyDeletesorry, I am up to 25 now. What is the level 18 question?
ReplyDeletei am on 20 now.sweet treat that cleans your teeth?
ReplyDeletewow, 25 is hard, I'm stuck there !
ReplyDeletecan anybody help me with the question what is a sweet treat that cleans your teeth?
ReplyDeletei cant figure it out.
somebody has said you find it on state fairs and its pink or blue.the only thing i can think of is cotton candy but thats not the answer.please help.
tanja, the first answer is candy floss, and the second answer is fairy floss. Sorry but I'm not very good with giving clues :)
ReplyDeletethanks i would never figured that out.21 looks hard.
ReplyDeletewhich one is 21?
ReplyDeletethe picture of the 3 commas or 9 looking things.
ReplyDeleteoh yes. let me know if you need a hand with it.
ReplyDeletestill stuck on 25 !
thanks i think i do. i cant even think of anything.
ReplyDeleteit's "thin blue line"
ReplyDeletethanks im on to 22 now.
ReplyDelete#45 is a tough. I haven't solved it yet. I do notice that there are 3 blue squares and 14 white ones. 3.14 is Pi, as for the other blue number, not a clue.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else get by it yet?
Wookie B.
I'm still on 45. maybe digging too deep but...
ReplyDeletethe blue number is 233811181
statue of a famous biblical character. That character has a famous passage in the bible about him its number is 23. in that verse, the following is true...
the #3 word is IS
the #8 word is NOT
the #1 word is THE
the #11 word is WANT
the #81 word is MY
verse 3, 14th word is NAME
Odd. something to chew on.
Wookie B.
Well I'm glad to see that I have woken up not to find that everyone has finished, but you could have made some more progress on 45 for me :-p
ReplyDeleteCould people stop posting the actual answers on here, I think it ruins it for others.
Nice number crunching wookie, this is tough.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure whether to go down the David and Goliath track or Michelangelo.
I really can't get the numbers to do anything, I was hoping the other clues would offer a solution. I've tried squinting at the hexagons, I'm sure the shape they are in is significant.
Any other ideas?
#45 still
ReplyDeleteI put the number 233811181 into a calculator and converted it to Hexadecimal. That spelled a word that made a question... ******* by whom?
I googled that and found something that happened in 1991. I put the guys name in, and doesnt work.
Might be on the wrong track, but hexagons, and hex code...
Wookie B.
Still chugging along...toot toot
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI need some help with the fresh-water-question.
I know where the most ressources of fresh water are (north and South), but I don't get the right solution. I don't find the right term.
Can anybody help me?
Sylvia
Got it wookie. There are several spellings of his name on the internet, only one of them worked. Drop the "t".
ReplyDeleteMoving swiftly on...
Stuck on 46. Any hints?
ReplyDeletei'm still stuck on 45, i know the word and the question, but i can't find what it is referring to.. any more hints?
ReplyDeleteI googled the entire hint - **** by whom? (and the name of the statue) It happened in 1991. I was difficult to find. I had to look on every page. Found it on a page that said Only in Italy.
ReplyDeleteAre the initials PC? I didn't use caps.
ReplyDeletei had the right answer, must have misspelled it, it was without caps
ReplyDeleteIT's exasperating....
ReplyDeleteCould someone please help me to find the right term on the fresh water question? Where is the majority of the world's fresh water?
i know the right answer but don't find the exact term. First letters would be helpful.
Thanks!
For 46 there are quite a few random pictures. I was starting to think that some of the shapes of the pictures look like letters, but I couldn't get any words out of it that way. Any more ideas?
ReplyDeletei've been googling 'record breaker', cause i'm not getting anywhere with the pictures, but no clues yet
ReplyDeleteI need help with 33, the Latham City one. I can't figure out how to line it up to a keyboard properly.
ReplyDeletet.rex, queen ,corn ,blur ,garbage, rhcp ,hole ,the doors,... (got this from a hint on another forum) but how are they linked together, i also don't get some of the other pictures or bands
ReplyDeleteThanks Mick. I've got most of the bands now, but there are so many I don't know what the connection is.
ReplyDeleteI thought the answer was going to be the blurred out pic, but obviously that is just "Blur".
there are still 7 bands that i don't get
ReplyDelete#46 seems to be bands of musicians...
ReplyDeleteGot so far is as follows: (missing like 5) spelling might be off.
FIRST ROW: T-rex, oasis, cranberries, madonna, garbage
Second Row: ???, the monkees, ???, Fine young cannibals, queen
Third Row: the jets, blur, slipknot, iron maiden, the doors
Fourth row: Eminem, U2, the who, red hot chilli peppers, hole
Fifth Row: Korn, ???, poison, ???, ???
I dont see the rolling stones or greatful dead on there anywhere.
Anyone add to the list?
Wookie B.
second row: soccer player is zidane, zz's top.. ;)
ReplyDeletefifth row: n.e.r.d.
Could the last one on the bottom row be the village people? I think they are from the film the village, but I've never seen it.
ReplyDeleteSo... what's the connection? How does knowing all of these help us?
Can someone please help me with #27? I've read all the clues but the I can't get a connection between the 12 pictures. What does it have to do with bingo?
ReplyDeletebottom one is Yello i think
ReplyDeletesolved 46, was wrong on some of them...
ReplyDeleterow 2, is xray specks, the apes, zztop, fine young canibles and queen.
row 5 is korn, n.e.r.d, poison, Limp biscuit(probably not but you will figure it out) and the village people.
Hope this helps...
Wookie B.
Tra - if I remember correctly, that is the answer.
ReplyDeleteok just found it as well... WHY so difficult, or easy? ;p
ReplyDeleteOk, am I on the wrong track? It looks like every letter is represented except one (a?).
ReplyDeleteSo I'm looking for a band?
Help, I want to finish today!
No just the missing one
ReplyDeleteBut you have the wrong one
ReplyDeletea is represented by arctic monkeys, you've got the wrong missing letter and the answer is not a band
ReplyDeleteany ideas on 47?? do the rings refer to the olympics? it's not exactly the same symbol though
ReplyDeleteBlimey, after all that it could have been a 50:50 choice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the help all.
Any luck on 47? Do you recognise the animal tracks?
Well the animal tracks could be a panther based on the name given.
ReplyDeleteGot 47. He did something quite a controversial at the games!
ReplyDeleteHmm - i thought I'd tried that. Maybe I mispelt.
ReplyDeletePay attention to the title in 47. Need help on 48!
ReplyDeletetotally stumped on 48? any ideas?
ReplyDeletewhat is the answer to #29 about voodoo lore? I have googled everything and can't find it.
ReplyDelete#47 stuck, just not seeing anything... could use a shove in the right direction, ive googled the title, olympics, panthers...
ReplyDeleteWookie B.
But what colour is the panther wookie? Radical!
ReplyDeleteI'm not getting far on 48, although the pictures seem to refer to hymns or songs.
you're on the right track, google olympics, black panthers... you'll get two names, but it's the other guy in the race
ReplyDeleteDem and mikos, thanks, got it...on to #48
ReplyDeleteWookie B.
Symbol Simon is some kind of a board/card game. Not sure if that points us in the right direction. Also got the name of the bird referred to in Latin, but that seemed to be a dead end as well.
ReplyDeleteanyone have a clue on how the pics are related or what they stand for?
ReplyDeleteThe bird is a Wandering Albatross and I read on another forum that the 5th picture is a broken chess piece, looks like a pawn.
ReplyDeletepic 1: albatross; song title and reference to ancient mariner maybe.
ReplyDeletepic 2: his got the whole world in his hands song
pic 4: colours of the rainbow (song)
pic 5: inkwell?
simple simon rhyme...
argh. I dunno
pic 5 is a broken chesspiece
ReplyDeletePic 5 is definitely a broken chess piece, 30Nights said so on another forum...the hat seems to be a Pork Pie hat
ReplyDeleteThere's a B.B. King song called Mr Pawnbroker
ReplyDeletepic 3:'you can leave your hat on'? ;p
ReplyDeleteplease help with level 41, I can't figure out whose hometown I'm looking for. googled two ponies, found donald tusher, but that didn't seem to work......thanks
ReplyDeleteThe symbol with the three balls above the airplane one is a pawnbroker symbol.
ReplyDeleteSo, it look like a lot of the symbols match up. Do we want the one that doesn't?
ReplyDeleteI still need help with #35. I turned my head to one side. The picture looks like an ear and i have typed in every possible answer relating to it. Could someone please just give me the answer?
ReplyDeleteI have read all the clues regarding the asteroid question but I still don't get it. what high score? can someone just tell me the answer pls. it's level 31
ReplyDeletetra - it's an animal. Once you've got the animal, finish the quote.
ReplyDeleteconrad - google asteroid and the numbers, you'll get a famous person, who invented him
@skynet
ReplyDeletethank you now i can finally move on. hopefully :)
lvl 48: there are 26 symbols, maybe they represent letters again??
ReplyDeleteok, so let's say the symbols are letters. I'm trying to link each pic with a symbol now.
ReplyDeletepic1: ?
pic2: ?
pic3: ?
pic4: pink triangle
pic5: pawnbroker symbol
pic6: snowflake
So far that gives me ???keo
not a word. Damn.
I like the way your thinking but that's not a snowflake... maybe another symbol would be more suitable.
ReplyDeletecan anybody can help me with question 26.vixen p.iii. i dont get it.from what i read it must be a male thing.lol
ReplyDeletethat means the last letter must be y, since the other ski-symbol is the one with the two black squares
ReplyDeleteI need help with the buffalo bill question. Who was his voice based on?
ReplyDeletepyro - Look at Family Guy
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooo stuck on 48. I hate this level.
thanks got it. but now this is just bloody confusing
ReplyDeletereally stuck on 26 even after reading all the hints...I know more about Danny La Rue than i need to (lol)...can anyone point me in the right direction?
ReplyDeleteooohhh ...never mind I got it
ReplyDeleteFor 48
ReplyDeletePic : description / symbol / letter
Pic1: albatross / ? / ?
Pic2: earth / recycle? / I
Pic3: pork Pie hat / Pi / R
Pic4: Rainbow / pink triangle / K
Pic5: Broken Pawn / pawnbroker / E
Pic6: Ski gogles / black diamonds / y
so that possibly gives
?IRKEY
I can't get anything meaningful even using some of the letters, so it probably has something to do with the name Simon too. Help please!
I really wanted to finish this quiz today! :-s
google 'earth symbol', then you'll get another second letter
ReplyDeletecheers Mickwevdf, I thought it would be the symbol I didn't recognise! And I just thought about golf for the 1st one. So now I have the word (and a symbol for that too) and I still can't get anywhere!
ReplyDeleteWhat number are you on now Mick?
For the assignment of letters to symbols, are you guys just arbitratily going clockwise? What's to say that it wouldn't go counter-clockwise?
ReplyDeletei'm on number 49 and getting nowhere :( but if you have the correct word, it's still a way to go... the first letter is one of the last of the alphabet...
ReplyDeleteit is clockwise
ReplyDeletewell dem, if you have the right word, google for different meanings of it,
ReplyDeleteyou need the sportsrelated one.. (lol about my name: i usually post as mikos, because so many mick's around ;p)
Could somebody PLEASE give some further tips about level 23...the keyboard with Latham City as clue? I have discovered the name of the inventor, what he invented, the city he was born in and the city he lived in. I cannot fathom how the picture represents a keyboard and am thinking that this is somehow the key to the answer. I have read through all 700+ posts, but nothing helps me to know if I am on the right track....city of Latham's birth? I have a load of housework I have to get stuck into this morning and I simply can't drag myself away from this puzzle as it is annoying me too much!! LOL...thank you!
ReplyDeletefor 49, are we looking at the white leters or the blue ones?
ReplyDeleteOzTiff,
ReplyDeleteI you put in the person's last name, you will get a hint...use the hint and it will lead you to the spelling of a word directly related to the man.
Well if it was anti-clockwise Thill it would be gibberish, but clockwise it makes a word! :-p
ReplyDeleteMick, I'm sure I have the right word and I know what else it can mean, but now I'm trying 3 letters that makes it look like a porno and I'm still getting nowhere! :p
Dem,
ReplyDeleteIf you have the 3 letters, then you know the answer...just keep doing what you did with the pictures.
just one small step now dem: match up the porn-symbol up with the symbols like you did before ;p

ReplyDeleteThank you, oztiff
