    1)escape but get nothing
    2)escape and get treasure
    Have to go out for a while.

  4. maybe i'm just dumb... i've got the bottom 2 bulby things lit up, and i've got a piece of paper with japanese on it and i'm stuck

    (this is my first time posting anything so forgive me if i screw something up)

    1. click on the red book in the bookshelf, and pick up ID card thing
    2. get bottle from top of shelf
    3. click on bottle, click on about items, and take the cap off
    4. put the cap in the grate (big box thing with red cord over it)
    5. click the cord (does nothing as far as i can tell)
    6. click on yellow book (you can't light up the stuff unless you read it)
    7. look at bottom right corner of banner on wall and note the number (1234)
    8. put ID card thing into the green slot on the wall below banner
    9. click on the top of the gray box with the rectangle on it
    10. enter the code (1234)
    11. zoom out and piece of paper should be there
    12. go to the three light things, bottom two should be lit up
    13. click on back of the big box that the middle one is sitting on (if you can't find it keep clicking around)
    14. should be a red button, press it
    11. you're out!

    I got the 8527 "pass" too, and I put it into the machine the second time around, got a picture with a red oval on top of a blue rectangle...
    And *now* what do I do?!?

    It is decoded with the red book on which the hint
    "z*b" and "tibPb" is written. Using Japanese syllabary
    (similar to alphabetic order), it can be read as

    パスは
    はちごになな

    and translating,

    pass is
    8527
