    ReplyDelete
  131. don't know the word 'twee' in english, can someone tell me please what that is?

    ReplyDelete
  132. franza, afair it's not a riddle, the english language has several words tht you can slice down letter by letter while still keeping a sensible word

  148. thx rudi! on lvl 18 now.

17, just make letters of number and anagram,
    answer is p....l

    ReplyDelete
  149. if there's a number on the lamp, maybe there's another on the bottle?

    ReplyDelete
  150. Franza, yes on the lamp is one number, on the bottle is no number, you have to find SIX numbers,
    make letters of it
    http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/alphanum.htm
I think you already see it than, but you have to anagram it. Use Universal anagram solver.

    ReplyDelete
  151. franza, stick with the 6 numbers, and then anagram them

carola: what do we have here? bergmann, loren, hepburn?

    ReplyDelete
  152. hmmm, 18, is another song, and lots of love,
but it's already very late here, have to go. Check up tomorrow again, bye, and Rudi thx for all the pushes so far!

    ReplyDelete
  153. rudi, and maybe jane from tarzan?

    ReplyDelete
  154. carola: o.k., have a nice one, will stay here for 15 more, have to go to bed then, too.

    franza: success?

    ReplyDelete
  155. thx carola, I already solved it thanks to your previous post... I'm on 18 now.
Five actresses: Ingrid Bergman (one facing left, once right), Elizabeth Taylor, I'm no sure about the one on top right (I can't see her well), and I don't know the bottom left...

    ReplyDelete
  156. oh and the middle is cleopatra of corse,

    ReplyDelete
  157. Elizabeth Taylor=cleopatra
Andie MacDowell? = jane (top right)

    ReplyDelete
  158. the one on the top right could be audrey hepburn

    ReplyDelete
  159. I wanted to give a special thanks to makjonbdwy. I had my sound turned off on 14, and had no clue what to do with that one lol!

    ReplyDelete
  160. I think jane = Maureen O'Sullivan

    ReplyDelete
  161. I thought about Catherine Hepburn for top right, but I can't find the movie or the image on the net

    ReplyDelete
  162. franza: you must be right, it's african queen

    ReplyDelete
  163. Franza, you're right about top right
    http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2745014272/nm0000031

    ReplyDelete
  164. great, now, what about bottom left? Dou you recognize her?

    ReplyDelete
  165. So we have:
    Ingrid Bergman
    Catherine Hepburn
    Elizabeth Taylor

    only missing bottom left
but I really have to go to bed now, have to wake up about 6 hours ;) realy bye now :)

    ReplyDelete
  166. damn, carola, so close and now to bed, but same for me :-)

    hope we'll solve it tomorrow

    you from germany, too?

    ReplyDelete
  167. oh no! Everybody is leaving right now? Please, don't leave me alone! Nobody is playing from the other side of the ocean (I live in Mexico)?
For bottom left I thought about Katharine Ross from "the Graduate", but it's not.
I'll never think I am a good fan of old movies anymore!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Rudi, almost, The Netherlands :)

    ReplyDelete
  169. The bottom left is Priscilla Presley

    ReplyDelete
  170. @franza I'm still here (I'm from the USA), but I don't watch old movies

    ReplyDelete
  171. BigRed, you are right! My god, I couldn't recognize her!
    So we have:
Ingrid Bergman (Casablanca) - Katherine Hepburn (The queen of Africa)
    Liz Taylor (Cleopatra)
Priscilla Presley (her own marriage) - Ingrid Bergman again
    ....????

    ReplyDelete
  172. Hi KitKatfox! I want to tell you I really appreciate your walkthroughs and hintthroughs!
We got all the actresses (thx again, BigRed!), but now I have no idea about how going further...

    ReplyDelete
  173. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I tried something to do with royalty or queens, but no go...the three actresses all played royalty at some point and Priscilla was married to the king of rock and roll...so maybe something along those lines?

    ReplyDelete
  175. You may have something there, Bigred, but why is Ingrid bergman shown twice, and her photo is from Casablanca and not, for example, from "Sissi"?

    ReplyDelete
  176. @franza thanks. I enjoy writing the walkthroughs, but I am not very good at riddles. I usually need someone to nudge me in the right direction!

I thought maybe their loves since it is a love theme. In the movies, it would be Humphrey Bogart (twice) and Richard Burton. But Elvis would be real life.

The character names, if that sparks anyone's imagination would be Rick Blaine, Charlie Allnut, and Mark Antony

    ReplyDelete
  177. I meant "Anastasia", Sissi was Romy Schneider...

    ReplyDelete
  178. can anyone help on level 14 i dont know who the composer is
