ReplyDeleteZoom in on the window with horizontal blinds on the right. Click the blinds and you will see a key on the window sill. Get the key. Open the rolltop desk with it. You'll see a candle with no wick on the right side behind the laptop. Take the wick-less candle. Also, you'll see a stamp with a 5-digit number. That number is the code for the desk drawer underneath the rolltop. (Be sure to push the chair away so you can open the drawer.

ReplyDeleteDerek, 2nd paper is in the rightmost book on the top shelf. I think the book has a magenta cover. Click the "top view" and you'll see four dashes or dots. Click the top of the book and you should be able to get it.

ReplyDeleteOkay, I FINALLY got the papers inside the lamp. Follow glynhappy's instructions and it will all go fine. Just a very particular order to follow that even includes clicking in to the closer view of the center sofa/lampstand.
ReplyDeleteMiles1, the numbers you get once you look at the screen after doing the lamp & paper thing are connected to the "1999 Diary" that is in the top shelf of the short bookshelf. The last 4 digits unlock the diary, at which point you encounter several pages of Japanese characters. The last page has a 4-digit code to something, but it's not the painting, as far as I can tell.
and now theres a new gazzyboy game up... im gonna go play it, this games making me feel like an idiot and i cant solve anything on my own so im not having much fun, gl though guys!

ReplyDeleteMiles has got the hookup to the painting code. Remember the green book on the couch? I posted a translation of it above w/ dates. If the new painting code (according tot he 1999 diary) is the day before Republic Day, June 2, aka 06/02, then the new painting code is 06/01. Type in 0601 and you get the painting in your inventory, and also behind the painting is a safe. That needs a key. Oy!

ReplyDeleteHarmonica key opens safe. There's another math riddle, and a code for the box inside the safe. Code to the box is from the last page of the 1999 diary. Open it and inside you find a sort of -- is it a record player?

ReplyDeleteTo get the paper on the painting:
ReplyDeleteGo over to the lamp that still has the 2 papers inside it (the number code of which you viewed on the screen).
Unplug the lamp and remove it from the stand. Remove the papers w/lines on them from the lampshade.
If for some reason this doesn't work, maybe try just unplugging it and removing the papers while it's still on the stand.
The papers will maybe make the "discovery noise" when they come off, but ignore it.
Double-click the painting in your inventory so it shows up "large". Then select one of the papers and try to get it on the painting. if that doesn't work, select the other one and try to get it on the painting. I hoep that works. Maybe somebody more articulate thn me can take another go at it if there's nothing else to do here.

Drisana, make sure the back of the couch is "pushed back" so that it's reclining, then click around on the other parts of the couch for a while and you should see a retractable movie screen.
