now where is that last artifact (3rd one from the left on the escape screen)
its gotta be on that screen where i cut a string, cuz i ahvent found anything there yet.

I'm still trying to find something to cut that second string.
dumb game! If you cut the top rope first, you can't cut the bottom one.
Second string with the same scissors and cactus as well.

@Ellie it is a game glitch. You'll need to reload and cut the bottom one first.

great, so that means we got a bug then, and it has been speedily fixed. no wonder we couldnt finish lol.
i havent known stoneagegames to have bugs in thier games, this is a 1st! lol.
but yea, better speedily fixed than slowly fixed, im glad they got in the job quickly at least!
@Suicune I'm not sure it is fixed. It just seems to require the bottom to be cut first. :/

Im trying to reload, but still doesn't work.
You're right @kitkatfox, that's a real bug. I was lucky the first time with cutting the bottom one first. But now I see and can reload again.

aside from the bug complicating things, this game was extremely easy!
not sure which was easier between this one and thier previous one though, its pretty close!

Bug isn't fixed, you have to start with the bottom one.
oh... after reading your posts i see the bug isnt fixed after all, and we were just meant to cut the bottom one 1st.
yea i cut the top 1 1st the 1st time... they gotta fix that lol. 1st stone age game ive ever seen with a bug!
So, if you cut top one first, you just have to start from the beginning again. No other way to solve this.

Can't find the hotspot for the first artifact? I'm assuming there's a need for a code there?

its at the very left of 1 of the screens, the one where you can see the wall going off in the distance, i dont think you can even see a codebox there, but if you click youll zoom into 1.

hmm theres a lot of screens with walls in them.
opened the game again so i could be more specific. its the one with shade and a small bush at the very left. click the bush

Caution: there is a bug in the game where you have to cut the ropes. Start with the bottom first
Zoom in on the rightmost window in the curved ruins -- see you need 4 artifacts to escape
Back up using the bar at the bottom of the screen
Click the gray column in the middle of the screen -- get the pruners from under the bush against the left side of the screen
Zoom in on the cactus in the center of the screen -- use the pruners on the line at the base of the cactus (click the pruners and then the line to cut)
Get the round scarab
Zoom in on the structure at the bottom of the screen
Use the pruners to cut the bottom and then the top rope to get the death mask
NOTE: the order matters!!! If you cut the top first, you can’t cut the bottom one!
Click the palm tree in the center of the screen
Get the shell from the base of the tree (in the shadow)
Note the odd markings on it
Click the second window from the left on the curved ruins
Now click in between the pillars that are to the left of the window to see a code box
Enter the code
Hintlook at the shellHint
SPOILER1321SPOILER
Click the button and get the Sphinx
Click the palm tree to the right and behind the curved ruin (about where the shell is in your inventory)
Get the bust of Nefertiti from behind the right arm of the cactus
Click the rightmost window of the curved ruin again
Place the objects in the openings and click ESCAPE!

im positive this is a new game, ive never seen it before, although i cant blame you for getting mixed up, since a lot of the stoneagegames look exactly the same, especially the ones of the same series.
Hmm, I went caught by that bug. Other than that it was nice and easy as usual. Hope bug issues don't get customary in StoneAge.
