  68. you have to cut the chair in front, there is a key. When you have plugged in the red/green thing and you use the remote, you see a countdown on the wall. At the moment you see the green U, you can open the door with the key.....

    ReplyDelete
  69. Ha ha ha ...I came back from breakfast...great solving @Mayberry...Wait for countdown to use key...very clever, but I hated the hotspots!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes, the hotspots are way to hard to find. And the navigation was a nightmare. Too bad, would have been a nice game without those flaws...

    ReplyDelete
  71. where is the knife please?

  73. @xristina, see the blue box on three shelves? there's another 3-digit box to open on the right side of the left shelf. Open it with the 001 code.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Wow. I found very little in this game without help. Thanks to all the great commenters above for getting me the heck out of there. Special thanks to Mayberrygunslingers for the fantastic code-solving.

    Find-the-Navigation-Arrow-through

To navigate in this game, you move your cursor to the middle of the left or right edge of the screen. Very annoying!
    Turn right
If you look at your map in the bottom right corner, you will see that it tells you what wall you are looking at
Open the left door of the chest – get the cup of blue paint
Note the shape on the back wall (if you can't see it, tilt/darken your screen)
    Turn right
Click the back of the chair on the nearer side
    Get colored dot paper
To look at it, click it in your inventory and then hit the about word that is left of the map
Click the bottom right corner to turn it over and see the back
While still in this view, click under the chair (to get this view, click about the top of the shadow under the middle of the chair)– get the remote from the pocket
back up 2 times using the left arrow
    Turn right
Note there is a footstool in this view
Click behind the bottom left corner of the painting – get the partial letter code
Back up using the right arrow and then turn right
Note the code box on top of the table
Click above the left back corner of the table to see behind it
Get the second partial letter paper
Back up using the right arrow
Click just inside the nearer divider of the left cubby
    Note the code box
Back up using the right arrow
Click just inside the nearer divider of the middle cubby
    Get the paintbrush
Back up using the right arrow
Zoom in on the box and solve the code. Click the top of the box to open it.
    SOLUTION BELOW
    Get the projector
Back up using the right arrow
    Turn left
Open the about item view of the paint cup. Use the brush on the cup for the blue paintbrush
Use the paintbrush on the painting
    Turn right
Click the near divider of the left cubby
Enter the code and click the left line and get the cutter
Back up with the right arrow
Click the shadow just to the right of the footstool to zoom in on it.
Use the cutter on the middle of the near edge
    Get the key
Back up using the left arrow and turn right 2 times
Plug the projector in the hole by the door
Use the remote to to turn it on.
After it counts down, it will show a green U. This is the same U that was in unlock at the back of the colored dot paper.
Use the key while the green U is showing.
    ESCAPE!!

  76. SOLUTIONS!

    Warning! here be SPOILERS!!!!

    SOLUTION TO THE BLUE BOX
The 2 partial-letter papers in your inventory have letters on them. The second letter is split between the 2 pages. For mine, the letters are b a c. The walls have very large letters on them (tilt or darken your screen if needed). Look at the map to match the letters with the wall numbers. Wall 1 is c, wall 2 is b, wall 3 is a. So my code was SPOILER231SPOILER.

    SOLUTION TO THE LEFT CUBBY
After you paint the blue stripe on the painting, it holds the code. The dot paper tells you to look for brown, white, and blue. The brown frame is in the shape of a squared-off zero. The white canvas around the blue stripe also makes a zero. The blue stripe makes a sloppy 1. That is your code SPOILER001SPOILER

    End of SPOILERS!

  77. The game is not difficult by itself, but its navigation is terrible.

  78. Shortcut - through
For those without the time to play it fully or without the patience to find all the clues/stuff

    Go left

    SHELVES VIEW
Zoom in the right side of the left shelf to find a 3-digit box (you need to find the hints and to figure out this code, but if you start brute-forcing, you'll get it pretty fast); enter 001 and get the cutter. Struggle a bit to find the zooming back arrow on the right side of the game screen and go left.

    FRAME VIEW
Zoom somewhere on the top right of the partly visible blue stool/chair and use the cutter/knife on it to take a key out from it. Struggle more to find the zooming out arrow, this time on the bottom left... go left again.

    BLUE CHAIR VIEW.
Zoom somewhere around the upper right side of the chair's back. Zoom again somewhere under the chair, a little to the right from the middle (like about below the blue dot on the paper) and get the remote. Zoom back out twice = struggle twice and go to the left twice.

    DOOR VIEW.
Use the remote somewhere on the bottom left part of the floor (the place the projector would go had you got it, but bug-fortunately you don't have to) and use the key on the door when the big green U is projected on the wall. Congrats.

  79. navigation is anti-intuitive... not that great of a game.

    ReplyDelete
  80. my paintbrush disappeared after putting it in the blue cup

  81. The Evelyn Wood Walkthrough

...scroll directly to KitKat's walkthrough, which includes a marvelous section explaining how each code was solved...and what those codes are :)

    OR:

...behind Door Number 2 is Edgar's nifty shortcut version :) this is for the discerning, slightly crazed gamer who feels the competitive spirit and must play 8000 escape games an hour....ahem !

either way...these spot-on walkthroughs will ease the pain of the temperamental navigation and make escaping Gray Room - Accent Blue a pleasurable experience :D
