  7. For 2: Use a mirror then use braille alphabet. :)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Obviously #3 has something to do with elements, but I'm not sure in what relation yet..

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think 3 is about playing cards nicknames, sailboat for 4, snowman for 8, crab for 3 ...

    ReplyDelete
  10. trucmuche, you're a genius. That did it. Onto 4. ^^

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  12. Kay, for #4, just read and see what stands out to you. Onto 5..

    ReplyDelete
  13. 5's easy. Lewis Carol's hint is all you need. Hope you still have that mirror handy.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No idea what to google on 5. Those letters from the hint?

    ReplyDelete
  19. 7's easy, too. ..poor hatters.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Aw sheesh.. this is going to be fun. -counts-

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thx Emily, maths were not the problem, got better once I found about the price tag ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. doh.... need help with the elemt question...

    ReplyDelete
  29. You won't need to know elements until you work out the equation.. Read our posts above.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 9 pretty much has me stumped. I thought I knew what to do, but perhaps I'm mistaken..

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm still trying to find everybody on #8

    ReplyDelete
  32. They're all relatively famous folks. You'll have 7 names/letters..

    ReplyDelete
  33. 2 of them are still eluding me though, will give it another try later

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think I'm with ya, trucmuche. This one's giving me a headache. ..just doesn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why can't I find one name of these stupid people on 8?!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sarah, you've a dedicatee, soldier/hunter, escapist, ruler, artist, inventor, and ..mystic.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's the artist I'm having a problem with ...
Do we need their real or usual names ?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Surnames for all but the girl.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Take her first name.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oo Well.. that's annoying.. No, I will not download games at...

    ReplyDelete
  41. The top right is the most famous for that profession.
    Bottom right a womanising madman.
Bottom left, look at what he's holding.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Righty.. going to wait for someone else to figure this out.. I thought it was a matter of plugging in certain.. variables.. but my outcome doesn't make sense at all.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well, still don't know the name of the artist, but guessed the letter I was missing ;)

    ReplyDelete
  44. For those stuck on the artist, think Moulin Rouge. XD

    ReplyDelete
  45. Do post if you manage to figure 9 out. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ahhh, that was him, I should have known ...
    Looking at #9

    ReplyDelete
  47. No prob for #9
    x y z (numbers) mean x-th stanza, y-th line, z-th letter

    ReplyDelete
  48. That's what I thought, and tried.. multiple ways, but I'm getting a nonsense result. Supposed to be an actual word?

    ReplyDelete
  49. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Emily, I'm using this anagram solver:
    http://anagram-solver.utsire.com/
    hope that helps

    ReplyDelete
  51. -headdesk- Didn't even think of it as being an anagram. Much thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hehe. This looks fun. Where'd I put my dry-erase markers..

    ReplyDelete
  53. lol, at the interlude after level 10

    ReplyDelete
  54. This is my favourite riddle! If anyone is stuck, I will try to help :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hm.. my compass is giving me bad directions..

    ReplyDelete
  56. I seem to get caught up on the easiest levels...

    ReplyDelete
  57. 11, the compass. I know what to do, and checked in an art program, but my outcome doesn't make sense, even unscrambled..

    ReplyDelete
  58. Whoops, have to go for a while. Shall come back to tackle 11 asap.

    ReplyDelete
  59. So, i walked away and came back... still on #8 and I need 3 more... I still need the Soldier, Madman and Ruler. Help?

    ReplyDelete
  60. what letters did you find?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Emily, there are only 2 directions where I could see an ambiguity on #11. That's not too hard to try all the possibilities.

    ReplyDelete
  62. we have Custer, Rasputin and the ruler (?) I think you refer to is Stalin

    ReplyDelete
  63. Got all the names, but now stuck on the actual word... any extra hints?

    ReplyDelete
  64. @Sarah...do yo have the name of the little girl?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I thought it was the title character of the book and game... but it doesn't seem to be making sense... no words are coming out...

    ReplyDelete
  66. POP.. GOT IT... FINALLY!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sarah, you're looking for a name actually. You're sure you have all the correct names ?
for the artist you don't need the first letter of his surname, but the first letter of the last part of his surname ...

    ReplyDelete
  68. Okay, completely lost on 5. Hints I've tried to understand:
"Lewis Caroll's hint and google" (google what?)
"...write letters like one big letter jumble" (am I anagramming?)
    And what with the chessboard?
I'm the big lohooser but, one more little hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  69. mgkanda, yes try anagramming all the letters at once, then try to relate that with chess

    ReplyDelete
  70. @mgkanda, look at the Lewis hint....backwards! Read from bottom to top and find a famous author, now look for the answer :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. ahh...Thank you @jonthewatch and @trucmuche!!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. solved 12 easily, didn't even look at numbers ...
    but stuck on 13

    ReplyDelete
  73. Wow!!! That was hard for me but, I did it. At this rate I don't think I can catch up but, I'm grateful for all the comments.

    ReplyDelete
  74. ahhh, ok I know what #13 is about now !

    ReplyDelete
  75. I made a video for 13 but I cannot post it right now. I can offer hints though.....what have you got so far?

    ReplyDelete
  76. jonthewatch, I have the picture, having fun with it, don't want hints right now thanks

    ReplyDelete
  77. loving this game. finding the answers is fun and so rewarding.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I agree, as I said, this is my favourite riddle!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. woohoo! loving this game more and more as I get some on my own! Way behind the smart people but, having a lot of fun! :D

    ReplyDelete
  80. pheeewwww, I've tried so many stupid things on 14 that I've felt more lucky than clever once I had solved it

    ReplyDelete
  81. can someone please give one more little hint on 4, I must be overthinking it cause I just cant find it

    ReplyDelete
  82. Still stuck on #4. Can anyone give me another hint?

    ReplyDelete
  83. I am still stuck there too Abba, i have googled everything and read it a hundred times, still dont know what i am missing

    ReplyDelete
  84. Look at the page. What stands out? Have you read Lewis's hint?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Yep I've tried all of the obvious six letter words (humpty, dumpty, etc) and googled stuff about humpty dumpty too but I can't figure it out.

    ReplyDelete
  86. On #4, you just need to take capital letters and make a word

    ReplyDelete
  87. finally got it, let me know if you still need a hint

    ReplyDelete
  88. Ah..got it. Thanks trucmuche!

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'll leave level 18 for tomorrow, bye everyone

    ReplyDelete
  90. 11 is the Mad Tea Party

    ReplyDelete
  91. hi George...I still can't log in to the Tube lol!

    ReplyDelete
  92. level 4....Look For Letters That Stand Out, Then ANAGRAM

    ReplyDelete
  93. ok.. stuck on #5. Got the name of the author .. now what?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hey jon, really? I logged in...it works for me.

    ReplyDelete
  95. hee hee George, will try again later...Fe and I are out to diner now....can you help here with the riddle for a couple of hours?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Umm..I'll try...if I remember anything...lol

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hey all. I'm still here and am super stuck on 10. Seems easy enough. Got letters but, they don't seem to make anything. At least not anything that I know.

Anyone stuck on earlier levels I will try and help if you get me to 11 lol.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm even pretty sure I know what I'm looking for. Anyone else still here?

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'm still here and still stuck on 11

    ReplyDelete
  100. I'm sorry...was away for diner...you need to find 12 letters

    ReplyDelete
  101. level 11: There is something on the tablecloth...

    ReplyDelete
  102. sorry, didn't refresh. have 12 letters. just can't make anything that I know out of them. googling the apparent subject matter and still nada. anagram server not giving me proper nouns so if I need one I'm stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Just follow the maze and write down the letters... it spells out a place (no space)

    ReplyDelete
  104. what are your letters, mgkanda?

    ReplyDelete
  105. I know 11 has to do with the compass, but I can't seem to figure out what to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  106. aopuhtronctm

oh sh**, it is a flower?

    ReplyDelete
  107. No its a place in London. use this: http://anagram-solver.utsire.com

    ReplyDelete
  108. No flower..use your letters here http://anagram-solver.utsire.com/

    ReplyDelete
  109. Im still stuck on 8 i have 3 of the names but dont know the rest

    ReplyDelete
  110. @Sarah...use a ruler

    ReplyDelete
  111. where am I going wrong? For 8 I have C,S,H,L,R,A,E but I can't make a word - help please!

    ReplyDelete
  112. @Alison... its a first name.

    ReplyDelete
  113. SHUT! UP! So you two are telling me that wordsmith is actually kind of a crappy anagram server? Even in the advanced anagramming I couldn't get an actual name or a place. THANK YOU!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  114. a ruler? sigh... might be time to walk away for a bit. lol

    ReplyDelete
  115. @Alison What name for photography? Not Lewis but...

    ReplyDelete
  116. ok @mgkanda, now come help me with 11...

    ReplyDelete
  117. Well on 11 and needless to say my bookmark for anagrams has now changed. I can't believe how much time I spent on that lol.

    ReplyDelete
  118. thanks @mgkanda, easy really - oh well!

    ReplyDelete
  119. @Sarah GOT IT!!! Took a straight edge (used printer paper) and lined up with compass on tablecloth starting at N and got 7 letters. Went back to my awesome new anagram server and it was the very first answer.

    ReplyDelete
  120. @Alison LOL! I started on the right track with that one and then got way off when I couldn't figure out who half of them were. Took me forever.

    ReplyDelete
  121. @Sarah waiting for you. 12 is intimidating me so far.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Help with #12. I'm assuming it has something to do with 1 to 1 or 50/50 but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  123. wait... my letters aren't working... i tried it a bunch of times... somethings off... hmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  124. In one of their previous posts trucmuche said they solved 12 without even using the numbers so I guess it means they don't have anything to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  125. yay abba's on 12 too! What are your letters Sarah?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Still stuck on 4...

    ReplyDelete
  127. @rittenden for #4 use the capital letters and use an anagram solver to get the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  128. nevermind... got it... ugh! ok... on to 12

    ReplyDelete
  129. hmm...Lewis mentions even odds. So completely lost lol.

    ReplyDelete
  130. On level 12 Lewis tells you what to do "look for even odds"...

    ReplyDelete
  131. ooh...so I'm on the right track then george?

    ReplyDelete
  132. So then are we looking for a line with an even number of odds or a line with an equal number of odds and evens?

    ReplyDelete
  133. Or odd numbers in even positions?

    ReplyDelete
  134. I don't know what you're trying, mgkanda..lol
    Not the whole lines...each digit

    ReplyDelete
  135. I just don't get then how trucmuche solved 12 without even looking at the numbers

    ReplyDelete
  136. some are odd, some are even...each line has 8 digits

    ReplyDelete
  137. @george lol...that makes two of us :s

    ReplyDelete
  138. if you're on the right track each line should give you a letter

    ReplyDelete
  139. hi and good evening :) i totally stuck with #6, google told me the meaning of tanner, but i stuck on the price tag... heeeeelp please

    ReplyDelete
  140. LOL! Well then I'm officially WAY OFF!!

    ReplyDelete
  141. @Sabine if you look up the wiki sites for the mad hatter and a tanner it will tell you what the price tag on his hat is and how to convert it to tanners respectively

    ReplyDelete
  142. @sabine That one was hard for me too. The paper says 10 shillings/sixpence. Use your google powers to find how many sixpence that is. Let me know if you still need help.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Wow. I'm way off too mgkanda I wasn't even thinking in terms of letters.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Any help on level 9 i think i have all the letters but cant find the word

    ReplyDelete
  145. @keldos google title on left page and use each set of #s for
    paragraph/line/letter

    ReplyDelete
  146. oh noooooooooooo... ty mgkanda and abba.. i took 10 shilling and six pence but... and it's a great BUT... i added six sixpence to the sum of shilling-sixpence conversion instead of one... i'm sooooo dumb

    ReplyDelete
  147. Nope. I'm completely stumped. I have no clue how to get a letter out of those.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Well, went comment cruising here on EG24 and it looks like ours and the one from trucmuche are it so no chance of an aha moment from that.
    An extra little nudge, george?

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yeah ive done that but cant seem to get a word from the letters

    ReplyDelete
  150. @sabine Congrats! Now hurry up and save us from 12 would you?

    ReplyDelete
  151. lol @Sabine. I did that for a second at first too. Even though the conversion is in the name of the coin I still screwed it up. =)

    ReplyDelete
  152. @keldos what letters do you have?

    ReplyDelete
  153. nevermind got it 1 of my letters was wrong

    ReplyDelete
  154. @keldos what are your letters and I'll tell you which you need to fix. I got the answer from an anagram server.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Oh good! Here comes keldos and sabine soon too. So we'll have five of us stuck on 12 lol.

    ReplyDelete
  156. What about adding up the sum of the odds and evens then subtracting one from the other and then that number corresponds to a letter in the alphabet? Does that seem like too much work for one riddle?

    ReplyDelete
  157. i'll try it @mgkanda... lol... you all are toooooo fast for me

    ReplyDelete
  158. @abba ROFL!!! Let me know when you've got that all figured out! For this game? No, doesn't seem like too much but, for me? Yes! LOL, my brain is turning to mush!
I tried looking for all occasions where evens were in odd places and taking that # letter from CROQUET MATCH to now avail so far.

    ReplyDelete
  159. way too much work...
You only have 2 choices: even or odd...there is a way in the computer-verse to express that

    ReplyDelete
  160. stuck on #8, driving me mad - I've got all the names and have used every reiteration I can think of -

First of all, how many letters in total - one of the photo has a name that is hyphenated,

Second, What is the first letter of the correct answer, and is it a proper noun or just a thing - throw me a fricken bone here....;)

    ReplyDelete
  161. ok.. binary language consists of 0 and 1... even=0, odd=1... each line will be a series of 0's or 1's based on even and odds... then use http://www.roubaixinteractive.com/PlayGround/Binary_Conversion/Binary_To_Text.asp

to translate each line to give you a letter :-)

    ReplyDelete
  162. level 8: you need 7 letters

    ReplyDelete
  163. yeah @Sarah!!

    ReplyDelete
  164. @So Cal 7 letters. Use first letter of first name of girl on left and first letters of last names on all others. For our friend from Moulin Rouge use the L. Then anagram and use hint from Lewis.

    ReplyDelete
  165. WOOT! WTG Sarah!!!! Working it out now!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Finally. Thank you Sarah and george. You rock!

    ReplyDelete
  167. Got it! :-) 13 here I come!

    ReplyDelete
  168. No idea what I have to do on 9?

    So Cal Peeper,
    level 8 is a name.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Well I finally get 12 with A LOT of help and now I'm immediately stuck again on 13.

    ReplyDelete
  170. have I got the right letters for number 11 - A,C,S,E,M,D,R ? Can't make a word from that.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Nvm I have 9, had to look up the whole poem.

    ReplyDelete
  172. No... Alison go back and read my post with the binary code link

    ReplyDelete
  173. ACK! Thanks small-tool! that was so obvious, i feel like a dope now.

    ReplyDelete
  174. @Alison the R is incorrect.
