The vertical dots gray-blue-red in top the cabinet with the bottom locked? Matches the 3 bottles for 289. Haven't seen a place for this yet.

Letter paper is 629, but no place for that either.

Stumped on the 3-56-52- clue for the safe as well.

    ReplyDelete

  94. I did- easier knowing 3 was last digit

    ReplyDelete
  95. i dont see any comments that actually solve the first code.... luck and determination i think lol

    ReplyDelete
  96. Wasn't 783 from first game?

    ReplyDelete
  97. plugging the XOand triangle in gives the numbers

    37 56 75 23, but I can't do anything with this. 37+19 is 56. And 56+19 is 75, but that doesn't help with 23.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I did it by bruteforcing, too. I should have started at 999 not 000 :p

    ReplyDelete
  99. Oh, and the final puzzle (for me) was figuring out what door to unlock! lol

    ReplyDelete
  100. @PuzzledinCA lol sometimes figuring out where to use keys is very hard.

    ReplyDelete
  101. @puzzledin lol - took me a while too

    ReplyDelete
  102. kkf - did you go in again - was the safecode 783

    ReplyDelete
  103. @kitkatfox,
    it's 37562523 but I don't know why either

I went back in and checked, it's definitely a 2 not an 8.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I don't get it, and I have to go. I hate leaving the code unsolved. Hopefully, Xenon will explain.

Perhaps it is another pun in Japanese or something.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Sorry, the order is different.
    32567523

    X-O-triangle in the clue
    O-X-triangle on the safe

    Not that it helps.

    ReplyDelete
  106. well I am off too
hope someone will post an explanation later

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'll put together a walkthru (minus the explanation, unless someone comes up with it before I'm done).

  109. Safecode is 723 - but still don´t know why
just if anyone wants to finish the game

    ReplyDelete
  110. according to the video walkthrough, you count the squares in the tree picture (right of the moon picture) from top to bottom for each row

so 3 in the first column, 2 in the second etc.

    Thanks for posting, May!

    ReplyDelete
  111. @May, at least your video shows the reasoning for the O-X-triangle safe combination!

    ReplyDelete
  112. WALKTHROUGH -- PART 1 (Orientation)

    First scene:
    - Locked door (remember for later!)
    - From right window pick up a paper.
-- Open it to find a 9x9 letter grid.

    Go right:
    - Take left picture (crescent moon) off wall to see "capitalistic" in black letters.
    - Look at strange tree picture to see lots of squares.

Go right again to see 3 more doors (all locked as well):
    Look at small bookshelves.
    - Pick up a small red/white bottle from bottom shelf.
    - Back up and look on left side to see "scandinavia" in yellow letters.

Look at far right of counter to see
    3 x 5 6 O 5 2 (triangle)

    Go towards far right door.
    - In the small alcove find a blue and white pill bottle.

Go back to counter view and go right again.

    From top shelf of cabinet:
    - Pick up a white and gray bottle.
    - See three vertical circles gray, blue, red (top to bottom).

In the center of the wall is a panel sealed by hex bolts.

Under the "Chick" picture is a safe.
The combination is three numbers clued by O-X-(triangle).

    ReplyDelete
  113. WALKTHROUGH -- PART 2 (START SOLVING)

Use the counter clue to open the chicken safe (SOLUTION BELOW)
    - Pick up a small key.
    - Press light switch.
    - Back up and turn around to see "economically" in aqua letters on the far wall.
    - Go back and turn the lights back on.

Use small key to open locked door in small cabinet.
    Pick up a lock box.
Look at the box to see it needs a 3-digit vertical number.
Use the vertical clues to open the box (SOLUTION BELOW).
    Get a wrench.

Use wrench to open wall panel.

Find a safe needing a number clued by aqua-yellow-black. (SOLUTION BELOW)
Use the letter clues to unlock the safe.
Back up to open the safe door.

    Find door key.
Exit through the door in the first scene.

    "The escape was successful"

    ReplyDelete
  114. WALKTHROUGH PART 3 SOLUTIONS
    O-X-triangle combination.

As any fool can see, the answer is 723. (We used to call this "proof by intimidation" in school.) Since none of us are fools, we were all stumped and had to brute-force it!

Here's how to do it the right way:
Combine the counter clue and the boxy tree picture.
Count the number of squares in each column to get "3-2-5-6-7-5-2-3"
    So, O = 2, X = 7, (triangle) = 3

    Vertical number combination.
Look at each of the bottles in inventory to see numbers in colored circles.
From cabinet circles plus pill bottles
    top = gray circle = 2
    middle = blue circle = 8
    bottom = red circle = 9

    Letter clues combination
When you look at the paper, you can trace the 3 words you found to find numbers
    - economically is on the top left - start in the second row, 3rd box from left
    - capitalistic is on the top right - start in 2nd row, last box
    - scandinavia in in the middle bottom - start in 5th row, 4th box

This gives you 6, 9, and 2 respectively

Order them by the color of the words to get 6-2-9

    ReplyDelete
  115. By the way, thanks for everyone who helped with this puzzle. I started late and never really caught up.

    ReplyDelete
  116. nice walkthrough and explinations, puzzled!

    ReplyDelete
  117. explanations (duh! bad spelling on my part!)

    ReplyDelete
  118. @kitkatfox, no thanks at all, thanks to the one who spent so much effort in making the video.^o^

@PuzzledinCA , thanks for the walkthrough, for myself, I actually like walkthrough better than video! ^-^

    ReplyDelete
  119. Well that was short. Trying to figure out the first hint towards that clue on the counter is still eluding me.

I think it took 723 to open the safe. Thing is, I'm not sure how that was translated from the line over 3X 56O 52 (triangle) clue. Usually the line signifies division, however there was nothing to divide from.

    ReplyDelete
  120. LOL, PuzzleinCA, at first I didn't understand your explanation. Perhaps its because I'm too literal when it comes to these sorts of games. lol

Took me a while to get it, but yes, the Boxy Tree picture actually reflects the numbers shown on the counter when you count the number of boxes per column from top to bottom. So the first column you'll get 3, then the next is 2, then after that is 5 and so on.

All the counter is asking you to do is fill in the missing numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  121. @Catalyste lol over thinking it, were you?

The code is MUCH simplier than I thought, too. I was doing all this weird math when all I had to do was count. @_@

    ReplyDelete
  122. I might have been, kitkat. lol

Its just that when Puzzle mentioned columns, the columns bit didn't register and I kept trying to correlate the boxes with the other tree picture! lol

Good thing I backtracked. I reminded myself how easy everything else was to solve, so I had to re-read what was said and POOF! The light came on. lol

    ReplyDelete
  123. 2 years late - the crew were working together to solve the puzzle
    EG24 old school rocks...
