  2. Hi all!
Found a lot of stuff so far:

    ReplyDelete
  3. Used SD and my "spoon" is a lever

    ReplyDelete
  4. have the key but cant read book

    ReplyDelete
  5. Where's the cloth?
The thing you get with the stick is a lever, use it behind the screwed panel.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Found hammer and used on "stone" with key

    ReplyDelete
  7. Or is the cloth the bag on a stick?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi Stu, I'm glad you're here, you're good at these. The 'spoon' is a lever to turn off the water. Get a hammer and smash the brick key...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  33. so does that mean if the date on the desk is 11/28 that the anniversary is 12/28? or maybe one of the passwords is 'december' or 'anniversary'?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Now I have a bagful of dirt fromt he plant

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks Colleen, i swear i tried that but not with capital letters

    ReplyDelete
  56. So it was the first of december somehow!?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I saw the letters with glasses, I'm not understanding help

    ReplyDelete
  58. I just caught up and got out. Thanks @Yao for the desk password. Could it be so easy that we have November now, and need next month (thanks @Shuchun). The first of next month, that is...

    ReplyDelete
  59. Babalu,
    Those letters are the password.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @Babalu, anagram them and see above...

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Babalu, read the letters (when you wear glasses) from left to right - up to down. They spell ACTRESS. That's your password.

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Yao, how did you figure out the first Pw?

    ReplyDelete
  63. thx for all the help but still dont know why 1201 and the cap letters got me too

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm still not sure about the 1201 though, care to explain Yao.

    ReplyDelete
  65. oh tks, was putting in lower case: lol:

    ReplyDelete
  68. THANKS FOR UPPER CASE ACTRESS. WAS STUCK...AND OUT

    ReplyDelete
  69. not understand why 1201

    ReplyDelete
  70. Let's just pretend that the translation from the book was;
'the anniversary is the first of the next month'.

    ReplyDelete
  71. good that we have again the option refresh this page! was difficult without it

    ReplyDelete
  72. Lol Small tool, maybe it even does!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yes, small-tool, let's pretend: lol:

    ReplyDelete
  74. easy once given the first password. But why 1201?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I went to search for the hiragana letters and Google translate gave this:
    Is it so?
    Next month
    Memorial Day in
    So he is ..

And since we all know Google translate isn't the best at all times it seems perfectly right to translate this the way small-tool did. I like that solution!

    ReplyDelete
  76. The "is it soo?" part is a bit strange, because without the exclamation mark in the translation I get: "I see"
Adding the exclamation mark I get "Is it so" with a question mark after. Ah, well... too few games today which makes me think way too much of this.

    ReplyDelete
  77. If you google 1201 you find 12:01 is a movie.
It seems it's like Groundhog Day and the same day happens again and again. So I'm just guessing here: What if that day was November 28th??
And maybe there's something in the book about that too? Still all guess-work though.
The game is called "I love Movie Escape"

    ReplyDelete
  78. Lol @Truus! I'm glad someone else is mad enough to try to find a good reasoning behind this code.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Oh, and a version starring Helen Slater and Jonathan Silverman was released on DVD in the US on November 28th!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. @Truus, it was also produced as a television movie in 1993. This version was released on DVD in the United States on November 28, 2006.

    ReplyDelete
  81. LOL, should we stop there? Say that we got the slightly far-fetched answer to the code? Great job @Truus!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Its only the small thing of getting "12:01" from november 28 then... doing it the right way.

    ReplyDelete
  83. couldn't fit in your translation though,
    maybe I'm totally wrong here!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. search on Wiki got this information:
    1956年6月29日に日本映画連合会の総会で12月1日を映画の日にすることが決定された

    12月1日を映画の日=December 1st is movie day.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Wow, cute and short!

Thanks for the hint about next month.

    ReplyDelete
  86. out with Yao's drawer code spoiler

the rest of the game was easy.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Ger the metal rod from the left back corner of the room
Note the screwed on panel between that corner and the desk
Click on the desk and see a book that gives a hint I can’t read (Shuchun’s partial translation says it has to do something with a anniversary next month. Thanks, @Shuchun)
    Click the right desk drawers
Open the middle one and get the empty cloth bag. Click the wooden front of the drawer to close it.
Enter the password into the top drawer and click the handle to open it
    SPOILER1201SPOILER Thanks, @Yao
Why this is the answer? I have no clue. Read the comments above from Shuchun, Truus, and Ellie for ideas
    Get the keycard
Close the drawer and go right
Zoom on the tall wooden cabinet
Use the rod to reach the handle on top
Click the couch and get the remote (with batteries already in it!!)
Click the glass coffee table and get the glasses from the base of the couch
Note the safe needs a code
    Click the right wall
Use the keycard in the slot on the right side
Use the remote on the big screen to see letters
Use the glasses to see the highlighted letters
Use this to open the safe. Click the handle and get the trowel
SPOILERACTRESSSPOILER (read from left to right starting from the 1st row and working down)
    Capitalization matters!
Zoom in on the potted plant
Use the trowel to get a bag of dirt
    Turn right
Get the rock and key from the machine that says OFF
Now that the weight is removed, the door lock is on.
Place the bag of dirt on the gold plate of the machine to weigh it back down and get OFF again
    Turn right
Go outside and get the screwdriver (yay!) from the sidewalk
    Go inside and turn right
Zoom on the back wall panel and use the screwdriver
Add the handle to the pipe
    Turn left and go outside
The water in the fountain is now off
    Get the hammer
In your inventory, click the rock/key thing and then the about item button below the inventory
Click the hammer in your inventory and then the rock thing. Get the key
    Go inside and left
Use the key on the door to escape!
