@ruff, for 78 just place the small grids in evey place in the big grid (the symbols being the red squares) and eliminate all the yellow and red squares. The remaining ones (6?) is anagrammed to the pw.

There are nine colour on the chart. We have 7 gems. The missing colour are black and purple. If we have all 9 colour, we only need the directions to move, 'cause we already have step counts.
