  6. I want to thank you guys for all your help on these games. I rarely post, but have been playing these games for a long time. I seem to have problems finding the simplest things. I love the walkthroughs because I can just read to the point I'm stuck and pick up from there. These games are helping to keep my not-so-young mind a little sharper. Thanks! Now......could someone give me a hint as to where to find the green gem? *blushing*

  7. @pascale...the very first scene...go up!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thank you Nokra ! I saw this view, but I thought it was just a hint for the order of the gems ! (-:

    ReplyDelete
  9. @Patra - a lot of comments to read through so here's the green gem: second row up, rightmost room. There's a loose tile on the right above the sink.

  10. @patra...
cece said...GREEN GEM in kitchen, behind a tile

  11. And @patra...you are not alone...I always miss the obvious...not at all afraid to admit it...and do so often!...LOL

    YW , pascale!

  12. Finally out with 46 orbs! Thanks for all the help!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Thanks, annaby and nokra for your help. I didn't see your answers, though, until after I'd finished the game. I thought my comments weren't posted, but didn't realize I needed to go to the second page of comments! Guess I need to work on sharpening the old mind a little more. LOL Thanks, Selfdefiant for the wonderful games. The maps are great, too, but I've been making my own. Reminds me of the "old" days or Zork! (Anybody old enough to remember the Infocom text games?)

    Ode to Selfdefiant
to the tune of “Natural Woman” as sung by Aretha Franklin

Looking out on the morning games
    (ah-oop)
I used to feel so uninspired
    (ah-oop)
And when I thought I had to face a gazzy game
    (ah-oop)
Lord, it made me feel so tired
But now there’s Selfdefiant, with games that never end
And SSSG is my best friend!

And now I feel, I mean for real, this makes me feel like
    Super Sneaky Spy Girl!

When the games all seem like lost-and-found
    (ah-oop)
Or full of bugs so heinous,
    (ah-oop)
His mazes make us go around and ‘round
    (ah-oop)
    His puzzles entertain us.
It seems he’s never doubtful of what we’re playing for
And always leaves us wishing we could have more!

So now we feel, all of us feel, he makes us feel like
    Super Sneaky Spy Guys!

Oh, SD, what you've done to me
    (what ‘chu done to me)
You make me feel so good inside
    (good inside)
And I just want to be
    (wanna be)
Playing games that make me feel so alive
Cause you make me feel, you make me feel, you make me feel like

  17. oops, I didn't realize the comments had gone to a new page!
@Filip, in the scene just past the room where you find the knife there is a toilet. On the floor to the right is a piece of paper or cloth that you can move to find the screwdriver.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @flip - go all the way left (first row) then up. Move the tile on the floor next to the toilet

  19. I cant get the 4 digit code to work?

    Thx Selfdefiant !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. where is the knife?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I couldn't move the panels to get blue gem until after placing other gems in the window (above 1st scene).

    ReplyDelete
  34. Help with common problems:
    1) On the gold circle with the orbs, after you position them you need to press the middle.
    2) For the symbols on the board in the 2nd to uppermost room, there is no indication of anything working but it is. Just press the boards under the symbols in the correct order.

This game has BY FAR the best mapping feature, now with notes!

  35. @jorge...Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...you have got to be kidding!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...................................!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Is there a bug in the game? I cant seem to go to the lower rooms!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. @castlerock...it is a bit funny at the staircase... when you go down and see the staircase
...click up for the other view of it...then continue down...It go me the first time, too...

    ReplyDelete
  38. @nokra, I echo your last post! My immediate response was: "OK, jorge, so don't play these games." Doh!
@Knotaklu and @annaby, thank you so much for the kind words but making rhymes to music is just something that I enjoy - there's no great talent involved.
And @Knotaklu, you will never find me in a gazzyboy game - Promise!

    ReplyDelete
  39. are we still live ~ with over 200 posts?!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thank you again for a fantastic game SelfDefiant :D Try as I might, I could only find 48 orbs....lol!!!! I went back through every room but I just couldn't see the two lonely little orbs. Aw well...I am thoroughly spoiled!!!! If EG24 just posted your games, Minoto, Tessh-i and a few others, I would be a happy camper!! ;) I still can't figure out why I want to escape the gorgeous villas by the beach but it is the principal of the thing....rofl!!!!!

@Zoz...as always...you make my day :) I came up with a sequel to Minoto's Rapunzel....I call it *Bunny Rapunzel*...hahahah!!!! It is a rather nonsensical, long and convoluted story that finally led to the idea and the name....lol!!!!! But I will be happy to send the dialogue...it is good for a chuckle ;)

SelfDefiant...you know I will be waiting with bated breath, or breathless or something along those lines, for your next adventure ;) You rock the casbah!!!!!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. okay...perfection syndrome kicking in again...it is the *principle* not *principal* of the thing....gah!!!!! I know... I know...nobody cares but ....... you understand Zoz....yes? lol!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. @zoz
I saw that many more comments were posted after the game finished and I knew something must have happened and I was VERY awarded reading through them

The Ode to SD - so great (as usual) hope he prints it out and hangs it over this bed!! You have a wonderful talent. Greatly appreciated.

  43. Walkthrough

I dont number the rooms just the rows, starting at the bottom with row 1
remember the "entrence view" is in second row, 3rd room from left)
You can find your own orbs 

Entrancedoor - go up - which means "look up" and notice symbols there
make a note of them - you need them later. This is also the place to
    put the diamonds.

go right and up (this is really a mistake on the map - the map shows a "right"
room not an "up"-room) and you see a kitchen sink with boards underneath
    you need a tool there.

go twice left and one up (bath) click the mirror and see a panel which needs
    a SD - notice the mirrored 4-digit-code .

back and left to BIG HALL (this is also the main artery to the rooms further up)

go one up and (staircase going up) and pick up HAMMER on the left

go one up and zoom in on windows - make a note of the red signs
click the ceiling light (not the up arrow) and have a closer look at the cuppola
click the middle and notice figures flashing - make a note (7,5,11)

go up 4x (door view) and notice box on right - zoom in and click the boards
(not the symbols itself) in the order as you have seen in entrance view and get
    YELLOW DIAMOND.

go all the way down to the big hall (2nd row) - when you are facing the staircase from top - to go down click the up-arrow again - (very confusing I know) and right and up
back to the kitchen sink - use the hammer for GREEN KEY

    ReplyDelete
  44. down and left to big hall and down using the green key

zoom in the blackboard and make a note of the circles with the dot-positions.
use the hammer on the wall for the RED DIAMOND

go left and zoom in on cb-door - put the dials acc. the cuppola for PURPLE DIAMOND

go one left and read the note on floor (memorise the first word of each line)
remove the board of the burnt-out bit of furniture with hammer for RED KEY

go one left and use the mirrored code (7468) pick up KNIVE on left side of
    floor

now hold your nose before you go up - dive in quickly, move the stone on
floor, grab the SCREWDRIVER and out again!

go down, 4x right and up (big hall) then left and up (bathroom) use your
SD on panel to find 4 handles
remember the note and the first word - take the first letter of each first word
(B;Y;G,B) set the handles and get SILVER KEY

back to big hall and up to the 5th level - go left with the silver key
open vent on left with SK for ORANGE DIAMOND

go twice right and up and use red key - go up once more and zoom in to
books on left - click them in the order you saw on glass windows for PURPLE
    KEY

twice down and right with purple key - cut down GOLD KEY with knive

go left twice and up to the top - open with gold key
zoom into gold rings and set them as on blackboard (starting with inner ring
6,4,8,3 - Oclock) for PINK DIAMOND

go down until you are facing the stairs going down - note the pillar on the
left - you can push top and bottom panel for BLUE DIAMOND

go down to big hall and 2 x right , 1 up (kitchen sink) now you have your
SD and you can prey the lose tile open at the right side for the GREEN
    DIAMOND

go down and twice left to entrance view - look up - place all your diamonds
    and you MADE IT

Thanks to everybody for the help - I didn’t made it all on my own!
and thanks again to Selfdefiant for making such great games!

    ReplyDelete
  45. where is purple and gold keys?......ANYONE!

    ReplyDelete
  46. purple and gold key's?....ANYONE!

    ReplyDelete
  47. YAY!!! Made it, mostly on my own, but Swiss Miss' AWESOME wt definitely helped!!!!

Big J, if you're still here, are you still stuck?

    ReplyDelete
  48. OMG great game like always, but..... there is someone standing and watching us in the right corridor!! (4 column, 5 row where the silver room is on the left) He scared me:))

    ReplyDelete
  49. @SwissMiss - excellent WT!

    ReplyDelete
  50. @selfdefiant: >THANKS< for another fantastic game. These are sooooooo much fun!!! And awoken is truly a word ;-)

@zoz: Excellent ode to this wonderful gamemaker!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I only find 48 orbs too, no matters how many times I play lol
I tought there was one more orb in the room of the mirror, but when I try to click only appears a message... and even so, the final result would be only 49 orbs :(

    ReplyDelete
  52. Maybe someone who got all 50 orbs can do an orb-through! I only got 45.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @SwissMiss, I was wondering if some brave soul was going to do a WT - I'm glad it was you, because it's awesome!
I was going to attempt an "Orb-through" but the very best I could do was 49 orbs. I think one of the most elusive orbs was on the very right edge of the screen where the bathtub, mirror and lever puzzle were. And I agree with @Anna Pimeys, I tried and tried to click the purple area under the bathtub but got nowhere. Has anyone found all 50 yet???
@Irish, send me that text! Or, better yet, post it! (yes, your "principles" are very high, and that is a good thing!)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hi zoz
I just tried to do an Orb-through
    I only get 48

perhaps if I post the 48 - someone has found the missing two

    1st scene 2/right 2/up (sink) 3/Hall 3/1 down(bottom row) 2/1 left (fridge) 3/1 left 3/1 left 2/1up (toilet) 2
    back to Hall
1 up (stairs looking up) 3/looking down stairs 2/
    1 up glas 1, zoom in window 1/cuppola 1/
    1 up (round balustrades) 1/1 left 2/
    back to round balustrades
    1 right 2/1 right 1/
one left and up 1/ 1 up (books) 2
back to round balustrades and 1 up 1/1 up (door) 2/1 up (gold) 3
    back down to main hall
    1 left 2/1 up (bathroom) 1

good luck anyone finding the last two

    ReplyDelete
  55. @zoz yeah, I found the orb at the right edge, but still haveing only 48 :/

I was intending to do a WT video but while I don't get all the 50 I think it won't be of much help

    ReplyDelete
  56. @SwissMiss thanks for the orb-through! I gonna check if I missed some or if I can find the last two :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. OK found 49th in bathroom (with color clue) top right edge

    ReplyDelete
  58. and I found 49th zoom in the window, but missing one yet

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'll try it again now that I have your info @SwissMiss!

    ReplyDelete
  60. last night I had marked down that I found 2 in the round balustrades room - I remember it was somewhere on the balustrade in the foreground, but I haven't been able to find it since!

    ReplyDelete
  61. i guess i was hallucinating (I hate it when that happens!) because I'm still stuck with 49. Good luck to anyone who wants to hunt some more!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I thought the orbs were fainter in this game. Maybe Selfdefiant thought he was making things too easy with the new map features.

    ReplyDelete
  63. stuck with 49 too... and I'm still thinking there's a orb below the message in the mirror/lever/bathtub room, that must be a bug or something :/

    ReplyDelete
  64. No Super Sneaky Spy Guy coin either?

    ReplyDelete
  65. u should add the ability to take pics so, for example, we could keep the symbols on the window for later use

    ReplyDelete
  66. I know the answer for the orbs....SD is posting a sequel to *Awoken* titled *Coffe With Your Orbs?* in which we search for the elusive two orbs, or one, depending on how many you managed to escape with....the entire game is based on the premise that all we are trying to find for our inventory are the orb(s) however a map will be provided with 50 rooms to explore, red herrings to fool us into thinking we are really supposed to find the *proverbial* screwdriver, seven gems in the usual color assortment...well, you get the idea!!! hmmm...I think I noticed those *strange* symbols again...lol!!!! After about the 35th room, you finally give in and lose your mind, and you still have not retrieved those pesky orbs...dejected, depressed and bedraggled, you check yourself into the *Asylum* where there is no escape, no orbs and just a padded cell where you can bounce off the walls...oh....did I lose my original train of thought...again!!!!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  67. rofl...okay zoz....you may regret asking for this ;) my apologies to SD for posting this here on your most excellent game comment thread...it in no way diminishes my love for your games :D

prepare yourself zoz...I warned you about the convoluted, nonsensical journey to the *Bunny Rapunzel* idea, which just popped into my head as my brain wandered aimlessly in different directions....rofl!!!!!! ENJOY the madness!

    FV = FarmVille lol!

Su: okay...this is a weird question but FV is weird and one can only speculate on what strange phenomenon will occur from one day to the next and with this in mind...my question is this: is anyone else *enjoying* problems when trying to change outfits!

    Kelly Jackson: ROFL!!!! zipppssssssss >.<
Susan Moran: I have been *enjoying* going bald when trying to wear my pirate outfit...a black scarf, sunglasses and hat that I cannot remove to save my life and with the exception of the aformentioned articles of clothing I am left in a rather precarious state of undress if I try to put my bunny outfits on! Zynga...I suppose this is some tech's brilliant idea of an early April Fools *funny ha ha*...which is not *funny ha ha* to me... :/
Susan Moran: kikikik....or lolololol!!!!! let us just describe my particular problem as *major wardrobe malfunction*....ROFL!!!!!!
Chris Moore :O ummmm irish do you need a blanket to cover up....HERE QUICK BEFORE KARS COMES...maybe king can give you his sheet..lol
Susan Moran: lol!!!!! what I really need is my hair back!!!!!! HELP!!!!! standing around in my underwear doesn't bother me but underwear and a bald head are just too much for one day!!!!! :/
Susan Moran: oh hush Ke....rofl!!!!! I can hear you all the way in California...hahahahha!!!!!!
Chris Moore: the sheet king is wearing will work..OH king.....lol
    Susan Moran: The *sheet king*....ROFL Born.......hahahahahaha!!!!!!!! I can't help myself...my mind just wanders aimlessly around.....wahahahahahaaha!!!!!!! :p
Kelly Jackson: ROFLLLLLLLING ... but Su!! bald is beautiful!!! << can't breathe ... uh but if you insist on having hair ... princess naughty has a wig or two you can borrow for a while ... she likes to play dress up w/ king bad*** !!!! ....
Chris Moore: oh hush...lol where is that king..any way..lol
Kelly Jackson: << passes Su a can ... I tucked Ka in too soon ... oh thats funny stuff!!!
Michelle Meyer: Susan, so you are bald and naked except for a bunny tail and eye patch? o_0
Chris Moore: ooo looks like kars was knocked out early tonight..what did you do irish??? lol
Michelle Meyer: well, Susan. A lovely tinfoil hat is obviously the solution to the hair. Perhaps curtain (with curtain rod, of course) for the dress?
Chris Moore: i find all the cute nice cloth you have to pay the bills for..i finally have enough for the turkey outfit...they say i can get it but NO THEY WON'T LET ME...and im a big turkey..lol i love the blue hat and scarf and the bunny out fit but won't get them.. im sure i did buy some black skinnies...and they are gone..like i had them for a short time then poof gone
Kelly Jackson: heh for once Su had nothing to do w/ Ka being sleepy ;)
Michelle Meyer: oh ho! That statement is open for lots of interpretation, kel!
Chris Moore: I have just the thing for you irish...on its way over..lol
Kelly Jackson: rofl michelle ... yep it does, and yes I probably did ... :P
Michelle Meyer: lalalalala not listening kel!
Kelly Jackson: hahahaha michelle ... no details :P
Susan Moran: ROFL Michelle!!!!!! hahahaahaha!!!! ahem...yes, a curtain rod for the dress....*a little something I saw in the window*..... *runs and hides*...... if Scarlett O'Hara can do it......lolol!!!! oh and the cool tinfoil hat... :D okay...now I am bald, wearing a tinfoil hat and a curtain rod *geez I have bigger shoulders than I wore in the 80's!!!* and a pink bunny tail and let us not forget the eye patch.... o.0 KAAAA....KAAAAAA.....you are missing one hot mess of a bestest buddy.....rofllllngnnggggg!!!!!!!! :P
    ...to be continued

    ReplyDelete
  68. continued from above...

Kelly Jackson: lol Su ... Ka had a very busy day today ... I'm sure he'll see this and lhao tomorrow :P
Michelle Meyer: we expect a new profile pic tomorrow susan!
Susan Moran: bahahahahahaha!!!!!!! well...I do have some pictures I can make some additions to in Photoship....lolol!!!!!!
Susan Moran: ROFLLLLNGGG.....*Photoshop* would work too....hahahahaha!!!!!!
Susan Moran: doesn't this sound like a story plot for a new Minoto....ROFL!!!!!!!!! *Bunny Rapunzel* ... ;)
Kelly Jackson: omg!!! << rollin!!! ... photoshop ... bunny rapunzel ... hahahahaha ;)
Michelle Meyer: I'm playing yokuaru escape. I'm not sure if the game or this conversation is stranger!
    Susan Moran: lolol!!!!!!
Cheryl Marshall: Glad to know I'm not the only one with a nekkid avatar. lol
    Michelle Meyer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6bOpJ5elW8
Kelly Jackson: hhahahaha its an epidemic!!
Michelle Meyer: hmmm..Cheryl. We seem to be out of sheets. Need to borrow a tablecloth. Actually, you can keep it. Really. I don't think I want it back.
Kelly Jackson: hahaha michelle I used to watch carol burnett show all the time but I don't remember seeing that one ... hilarious!!!
Michelle Meyer: my mom loved this skit so much she made sure I saw it on one of the "best of" her shows. It seems few comedians have this level of skill today.
Kelly Jackson: ah yes far and few in between
Susan Moran: *Rapunzel, Rapunzel...where hast your hair...thy bald head reflects painful post of the bed...and beats down upon knight exposed head...thy lover knight brawny waits with chest oh so bare...Rapunzel, Rapunzel....thou must find thine hair.*
    Michelle Meyer: lol Susan!
Kelly Jackson: lets see if I got the directions right ... go north on I 35 ... then west on I 70 ... then south on I 25 ... west on I 40 ... south on I 15 ... south on I 5 ... hair will be hanging from the highest part of the coronado brigde ... bring pole w/ hook taped to the end of it :P
Susan Moran: ROFL!!!!!!!! put gum on hook so hair won't fall in the bay...lol!!! ♥♥♥
Kelly Jackson: oh no I forgot the gum!!! << goes all the way back >.< ...

zoz...have you ripped your hair out yet? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  69. ok, @Irish I've only read your first post about the SSSG game and already I have tears rolling down my cheeks from laughing so hard. Just in case I choke from laughing when I read your "Rapunzel" post, please know that I died happy!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Wow! I really miss a lot by not playing Farmville, it seems! Oh, how I would have loved seeing the pretty Miss with her bald head and tinfoil hat, Joan Crawford curtain rod shoulders, eye patch and (best of all imho) the Bunny Tail!
@Irish, Did I ever mention that you're crazy? In a very, very good way???

    ReplyDelete
  71. rofl @ zoz....what can I say...my mind has a funny habit of wandering hither and yon and ne'er the twain shall meet....lol!!!! Thank you for the lovely compliment... :D I rather enjoy my little *vacations* on the other side of the looking glass....hahahahaa!!!!! We both understand the interesting trips our imaginations take us on...it seems once I get started I just can't make myself stop...lolol!!!!! Actually...I envision some very funny possibilities and new characters emerging from that *dialogue*....whahahahaa!!!! With your creative and brilliant imagination, I am certain we could write one hysterical walkthrough...just one teensy little problem though...we would then need someone to add graphics....lolol!!!!! Always a pleasure zoz...you are one of my most favorite people ;)

  78. out with Sue's help for the Blue Gem. Thank you, thank you!

@Selfdefiant Ayeee! I really think you must have left orbs out of my game. Maybe it was hiding the the toilet that we refused to look in? @__@ I used to think your crystal hunts were hard. I got 46, and I think I am quite proud of that :P

@Irish lololololololololol I recognize that conversations. Hmmm... I think I might even be hiding in there (shhhhhh)

@Zoz I so adore the ode-through to SD. He definitely deserves it (even if he hides orbs too well)! [And by the way, you can join our jokes on FB without playing FV. I never play that game ;)]

  91. Thank you Self Defiant. And Thank you Sue for the hint about the blue gem. I would have never found it with your helpI want to thank you guys for all your help on these games. I rarely post, but have been playing these games for a long time. I seem to have problems finding the simplest things. I love the walkthroughs because I can just read to the point I'm stuck and pick up from there
