  3. Found one item (paper clue) probably for the colour code box.

    ReplyDelete
  4. dinner will have to wait. Loading!

    ReplyDelete
  5. No items 'and' no clues!?

All I tried is the color code, but it doesn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Snigger easy code actually but only gave me another clue?!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh and an L shaped thingie...

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sorry, my mistake, color clue works.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Got me a key and have opened box next to laser door. Need another code....

    ReplyDelete
  10. Use L shaped thingy to get the key from the other room.

  11. hi Ruff! And Leroy and Small-tool :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. oops, and @michjean, too. lol

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yeah, forgot about that; Hi All.

    ReplyDelete
  14. hi @kitkatfox.

@small-tool, seldom see you this "early"?

    ReplyDelete
  15. square has 4 lines. Plus has 2. Maybe that is the first number. but no clue about the second number -- can't be corners or line ends.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gidday all. So anybody got any ideas as to how to translate those symbols to a code??

    ReplyDelete
  17. Lol Ruff, make that this "late".

No idea at all at the moment. Do we combine XYZ with + and square and for what code (the laser box or the the 4-digit box) ?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can't find anywhere to use the L-shape thing!

    ReplyDelete
  19. @ruff look under the lasers

    ReplyDelete
  20. It's those circle things I can't understand. Cannot seem to count them as shapes (same with ?).

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Ruff zoom laser door and hook the key!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I thought maybe the moon?! etc code would be how may spaces each set was turned from the original.

like first moon is 3 turns clockwise and exclamation is 1 so the number was 4.

    But nope.

    ReplyDelete
  23. POP, used the L-shape thing and found a key.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @michjean if you look at the shapes some are also rotated. Not sure what that means....
I did look at wingdings (no joy) and tried XYZ=242526 for laser box (again no joy)

    ReplyDelete
  25. @michjean I figured the square/circle clue went with the XYZ clue in the safe.

But I have no idea, so ignore me lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Leroy I tried 242526, too ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lol Leroy, tried 242526 as well, seems logical because of the XYZ and that box needs 6 digits.
Maybe we have to combine it with the 40 and 25 somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Laser box will only take 6 digits which is why I tried the number subst mentioned in my previous post.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The markings on walls go with top of a safe (I think) ... do not want to over think this and do not want to simplify it either!LOL

    ReplyDelete
  30. good thing I can't die from the lasers given how often I have clicked them looking for more clues

    ReplyDelete
  31. O.K. Left for a minute to fight with a stubborn bottle of Merlot. Any progress?

    ReplyDelete
  32. brain isn't coming up with anything. It's past 10pm here so I think I'll go make dinner and come back.

Kindly leave a walkthrough while I'm gone :P

    ReplyDelete
  33. Even the stars are rotated on that code box!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. @kitkatfox LOL bet we are still trying when you return..

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi! To solve the number box, use the 25 and 40 clue. Add the numbers that make those shapes (see that square is 1+2+3+4+6+7+8+9 = 40 and + is 2+5+8+4+6 = 25). Then do the same with XYZ to get the 6 dig code.

  37. In the new room key and clue for the wall safe. Solving that word gives a light switch.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi @Ruff!!

Using the light switch gives clues how to use the shapes on the walls.

    ReplyDelete
  39. TY @ellie, disarm lazer!

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Ellie Huh? More info if you can cos you lost me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Can't get color code to work. Is it a pixel hunt?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Too much wine .. or not enough.. huh?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ellie! I love you for solving the lasers.

    (Checking in while vegies defrost)

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Leroy, add the numbers that makes the shape X (7+5+3+1+9). Those are =25
Do the same for Y and Z and you have 6 digits.

Solved the other box now with the shapes.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @Karen... follow hint from top of safe to enter colors correctly

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi @kkf!! So nice to see you! :D

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi my good friend @Leroy!!

Just dropping by to say hi. Started the game late and didn't join live (yes, I know we should have LOL), but Ellie's help is all you need to move on.
    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  48. @ellie, thanks so much for the clue.

    hi @edgar.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hola Ruff :)

...and a big thanks to Ellie too! She was the brain behind that safe code :P

    ReplyDelete
  50. What have you guys been doing lately? I have spent almost 2 weeks on Cipher Crack the Code level 50.

    ReplyDelete
  51. and back again from cooking to make it out.

Thanks, Ellie for the laser code.

And hello to you, too, Edgar-lurker

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh, really Ruff? Hm, I guess I should catch up on that one when I have the chance...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Nvm Duh me just had The revelation\light bulb in the brain etc...

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Ruff...Cipher Crack the Code? Must have missed that one. Had a break from riddle games lol. Will try to catch more live games!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hehehe kkf, isn't lurking a bit... "fashionable"?

    ReplyDelete
  56. well I must say that I need more than that, because I don't get where those numbers came from or how to make the shape out of the numbers, did I miss a clue somewhere or am I just missing neurons to get it?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Great @Leroy! I love those moments!
@kkf, I guess you are writing then? :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I am still not getting it... can I borrow your light bulb Leroy?

    ReplyDelete
  59. @clsanders1270, did you find the note behind a table? Right side, below the ? on the wall.
You also need to open the color code box.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Cipher Crack the Code is a very nice game. You should try it. I have finished all available levels now. If you need any hints, let me know.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Had to go for a little while and came back and saw Ellie solved the first code. Thanks, great job. And after that it wasn't that hard.
    Out too now.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I've got the note and the color code box open...but still my light bulb isn't glowing..lol

    ReplyDelete
  63. can't write or dinner will burn. Sorry. Sneaking in and out quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @michjean, great to see you too! I regret not playing live with you, but hopefully soon? Anyway, still stuck with the XYZ?

    ReplyDelete
  65. @michjean, if you draw an X on the code pad, it will include the numbers: 1,5,9,3,7. Add those to get 25.

Draw an Y and you use the numbers: 1,5,3,8. Add them and get 17.

    For Z, add 1,2,3,5,7,8,9 and get 35.

    ReplyDelete
  66. in my defense I did just spend 3 hours playing axend...:)

    ReplyDelete
  67. @michjean Look at a mobile number pad and draw the characters line by line....

    ReplyDelete
  68. Well, at least the laser lights are pretty to look at (in a creepy - I - don't - get - it - way)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Aha!!!!! thank you...I didn't know where you were "drawing" to get the numbers

    ReplyDelete
  70. Spoiler for the code pad on the wall:

    SPOILERTWOFIVEONESEVENTHREEFIVESPOILER

    ReplyDelete
  71. @michjean my lightbulb is fairly low wattage LOL so maybe buy a better one elsewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  72. LOL @clsanders1270! That was pretty fast I should say.
How much did I spend on that game? 6-7 hours maybe? No kidding!

  74. O.K. @Leroy.... now comes the ((Duh you idiot)) moment - whispered so I don't offend myself. I'm leaning toward too much wine (I've exceeded my good for you amount) Thank You!! @Ellie (the Brain) & @Leroy (the teacher) ouT!

    ReplyDelete
  75. To clarify Ellie's solution, you need to look at a telephone or a similar 3X3 grid numbered 1 through 9.

    1 2 3
    4 5 6
    7 8 9

To make a square, we need to draw a line through
    1 2 3
    4 . 6
    7 8 9

    For the plus;
    . 2 .
    4 5 6
    . 8 .

Do the same with the letters X Y and Z.

    ReplyDelete
  76. back with dinner. Should I do a walkthrough now? Or is someone else doing it?

    ReplyDelete
  77. @kkf, please do one if you like to! I started to look into it but thought of some pictures that would take a really long time for me at this time of the day (4:45AM) lol.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Not me kitkatfox, gonna sleep now.
Bye all and thanks for the help.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Same time-zone here Ellie.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Good night, @small-tool!

    ReplyDelete
  81. @Edgar....thank you very much, I don't feel quite as dim knowing that I was able to get through that game faster than you. I've seen you solve puzzles that I have sat back, scratched my head and said "HUH?" many times. :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. I r da dumb. I'm having trouble with the day-glo clue.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Karen,
The shapes (if you turn then around like the clue) make numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Out!! lightbulb has a few moments of flickering but it's shining bright now :) Thank you all for your help. Have a good night!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well @clsanders1270, there's a reason for that. I like to sit and play Selfdefiant's without any rush. Enjoying every bit of them. LOL, I like Tesshi-e's games the most, so maybe his are next in my own personal top list ;-)

    Colored Buttons Safe
The paper you found has the letters GYBGRYY. The Second G is blue. The top of the box has a blue square as the starting point. So starting from the Blue square, follow the line on the top of the box to the square to the left of the starting square– on your paper, the letter to the left of the blue G is a B. Follow the line some more, and your next square is right of the starting spot. On your paper, the R is right of the blue G. So your code so far is GBR. Continue to follow the lines to the squares/letters, and the result is SPOILERGBRYYGYSPOILER

    Number Code for the Lasers
The paper clue has a square on it worth 40. The plus shape is worth 25. Zoom on the number pad. It you trace the outline of the square, you hit numbers 12369874 – add those numbers, and you see they add to 40. “Trace” the plus shape on the pad, and you hit numbers 25846 (don't repeat the 5 in the middle). Add those, and see they are 25. So now you know the method.

Trace the letters X, Y, and Z from the colored-button safe onto the number pad and then add the numbers you hit. So X is 1+5+9+3+7=25; Y is 1+5+3+8=17; and Z is 1+2+3+5+7+8+9=35. So the code is SPOILER251735SPOILER

    Letter Wall Safe
Combine the lines on the wall safe with the lines on the second paper clue you found. The first letter has a long vertical line on the left (paper clue) and bottom horizontal line (safe)– combine them for the letter L. The second letter has a top and bottom horizontal lines (paper) and a short middle vertical line (safe). Combine them for the I. Continue to combine the halves of letters for the word SPOILERLIGHTSPOILER

    Moon ? ! etc Safe
With the lights off, the moon had a C shape lit. The ? frame had all edges lit. The star frame had a top horizontal line lit. The ! frame had a top and left edge lit. The shapes on the top of the box are rotated from the originals. So, in your mind, you need to rotate the lit frames. Combine the top and bottom shapes for each column and they will make numbers.

The easiest to do is the last column since they don't require rotating. The moon gave us a C shape and the ? gave us the 0. Put the C on top of the 0 and get the number 6.

The first column has a moon turned with the opening up and an exclamation mark turned to the right. The moon had a C shape lit. Rotate it 1 turn counter-clockwise, and the moon has the left, right, and bottom parts of the frame lit (the top is open). The ! Had the top and left edges lit – rotate those, and the top and right edges are lit. Combine them, and you get the number 4.

The second column has 2 stars rotated once clockwise. The star frame had a top horizontal line lit. Turn it to the right, and the line is now the right vertical edge. Put the 2 lines on top of each other and get the number 1.

The third column has 2 moons turned 2 turns clockwise. Rotate the 2 C shapes, and you have 2 backwards Cs. So the number is 3.

    So the solution is SPOILER4136SPOILER

  91. And thanks again, Ellie, for the laser code!

    ReplyDelete
  92. And there it is! Thank you very much @kkf for writing a perfect wt!!

  95. @ kitkatfox.. thank you for the WT.. really needed it for the laser code box!

    ReplyDelete
  96. just got around to playing this - maybe (no, probably!) I'm missing something obvious, but my note with GYBGetc has all Black letters (no blue G in the middle) and the pattern on top of the color safe is all black (no blue square in the middle or anywhere else). I have colored buttons on the front of the safe, so it's not my computer monitor. It's my brain! Any hints, @anyone???
I have a feeling I'm going to feel very sheepish when I find out what I'm missing.

    ReplyDelete
  97. @zoz I rechecked the game, and nope, you aren't crazy. At least not about this. ;) For some reason, the game is different and the colors are gone.

Perhaps you start with G because it is the 4th letter and the maze thing starts 4 squares in? Hopefully, the code itself didn't change.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Thanks for the moral support @kkf! Actually, when I first played the game I tried to enter the code from @Ellie's WT and it didn't work. So I don't know what's up. Luckily, there are lots of new games to play!
p.s. I hope the tornadoes stayed far away from you!

    ReplyDelete
  99. arggghh! I was YOUR WT @kkf! Now that really WAS ignorance on my part! Apologies!

    ReplyDelete
  100. lol zoz. No need to apologize. Ellie was the hero for the game, anyway.

And I am safe and sound. No tornadoes hit around here, thankfully!

    ReplyDelete
  101. caught this one from the random section

thx for all your creations, AppGoya (as this is your new name) ☺
& thx KKF for the WT
