  1. I'm pondering why are there 2 extra white pawns.

    ReplyDelete
  2. HaHa me too @khandi .. I will be the one the others carry to the finish! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hope you're not a big load to bear michjean!!
Well, other than 4 pawns, I don't see anything unusual. It would be silly to consider it a real game to think of movements and so.
Question is, how to pick letter out of that? Only possible thing for me (until something proves me wrong) is to take these positions to another place. Maybe to another 8x8 grid we've had in the game? Really hope it's not the case though.

    ReplyDelete
  4. @edgar, I have tried that already. Use the proverb line. Use both the C**** M***** + the proverb line. Fill the grid with a-z from top down, and from bottom up, horizontally and vertically.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I have also tried using A7=A, A7=17=Q, A7=A+7=8=H.

    Also tried counting the pieces, b****=8 6 0 0 1 1 0 0
    w**** = 0 2 0 0 0 0 8 8

    Also tried dit-dah.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I have also tried k*******.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Counted every letter in the proverb, expecting to have 64 characters long. Nope...

    ReplyDelete
  8. lol Ruff! You've used every trick in the book!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I made it up to 64 by adding the C**** M***** and the end period. I know it doesn't fit well but who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  10. So I see a few of you are still on 46. I seem to have tried what you all have. okay more digging

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm leaving this level until someone or kaankanat has left a good hint. Good night!

    ReplyDelete
  12. 'Night Ruff!~ I will check now and again until bedtime, but it would take a miracle for me to get the breakthrough!

    ReplyDelete
  13. @michjean, sometimes we need to take a break and have our minds refreshed before we can think in a whole new direction. Good luck, hope you'll find the answer for us.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nite Ruff.
But he did leave a good hint...
"Find the odd ones and try (my vague way) to get letters. Anagram then"

    ReplyDelete
  15. @edgar, I have tried everything I can think of already, including going to the rule page. I bet we all have tried all our tricks, haven't we?

    ReplyDelete
  16. We have Ruff. Idk what else to try...

  18. seems I'm the only one in here.

Seems like all ideas are tried. as i have nothing to add.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Edgar are you sure the 2nd one stands for division? The numbers are 3 and 2. So 3/2=1,5

    ReplyDelete
  20. Good morning. So we are still on 46 an running out of ideas, great. I hope fresh mind will help.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @fairuzaf are you on lvl 7? second one is a +

    ReplyDelete
  22. YUHUUUU! Just passed lvl 7 haha

    ReplyDelete
  23. lvl 46 new hint from kaankanat on nord:

You need 8 letters. then anagram

    ReplyDelete
  24. tried so many ways to find letters but nothing is usefull. What we really need is a hint how to find them!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good morning. (At least it's morning where I am) Okay - no progress on 46 while I slept.

So if we need 8 letters I'm guessing that each row or column represents a letter (since there are 8). And the question still remains - how to convert each row/column into a letter. I already tried b***** but that didn't seem to work.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh - another possibility...there are 4 odd ones - each represented by a letter/number - so maybe each pair is a letter (e.g. A1 is one letter)

    ReplyDelete
  27. A hint from Adventure posted on GH:

    "4 odd ones, 4 positions, 8 letters.
    Letters are just the letters.
Think about how you can convert the numbers to letters. Basic riddle method."

I still can't get it though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 46 saw hint left by kaan on nord also a hint from tynka
"use coords, you need a different kind of language for numbers..."
    Off to work on it

    ReplyDelete
  29. does anyone have a link to a good anagram solver. I didnt bookmark mine and cant find it

    ReplyDelete
  30. dont quite get. 4#s can see but only 3 letters

    ReplyDelete
  31. My understanding is that we would already have 4 of the letters and we get the other 4 by converting the numbers. But I could be mistaken.

Here are two anagram solvers I often use:

    http://anagram-solver.net/

    http://wordsmith.org/anagram/

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes I think your right @ khandi. And thanks for the link

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi all :) Only have a few minutes, but I'm not seeing anything on 44. :( I took it to GIMP and rightclick-filters-animation-playback, but I only get 2 frames and when I press step it doesn't seem to have a difference. So I waited and took the second part "Notes" and it has two frames as well, still not seeing anything. So I guess I have my 4 pages, but have no clue what to take.

BTW, I was so close on 43 yesterday. I thought for sure it was an f22, but alas I gave up a little early.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @mk on each frame look carefully to the left hand side of text and you will notice letters. There are 2 sets to look for

    ReplyDelete
  35. @mk switch between frames to notice

    ReplyDelete
  36. hmm...thanks for answering @maxhug.

Is it maybe because I copy/pasted it instead of saving it? Seems odd if that would be the case. I see nothing, but will keep trying. Thanks again. :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. omg...that IS it!

For future riddlers: 44, make sure to save the file, do NOT copy/paste into your photo manipulation program b/c you won't see the difference even though you will have more than one frame.

  38. Hint posted on gamers for 46

What alternate English alphabet also make usage of numbers?

    ReplyDelete
  39. "What alternate English alphabet also makes usage of numbers?"

I have been working on alphabets that use numbers that also represent letters but didn't get letters that help make a word.

    What's an alternate English alphabet??

    ReplyDelete
  40. Just joining here. Hello to all. Now on 46 2nd part.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @ khandi. I found the alphabet by googling the hint I posted. Found other letters but when anagrammed word I got doesnt work. So I'm thinking it is 2 or more word answer

    ReplyDelete
  42. @maxhug77 - is it 1**7? I can't find any others...
btw when you post a comment, does any body else's page go right back to the first 100 comments?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I see you are still on 46 part1, It's leet.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @faltu I know its leet but cant get right word. I got b*t*b*t*.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @faitu - Hello to you too. Please, please give another hint to find the right alphabet for 46 part 1.

@maxhug - I also googled the hint but that didn't show me anything useful.

    ReplyDelete
  46. You use two letters for 7.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Okay got it. Thanks for the hint @faltu.

@khandi. It is the Leet alphabet and ps. One of the numbers can be used for 2 different letters ie. 9 = F or K

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thank you faltu!! I had been using leet but didn't pay attention that 7 can be two different numbers - no wonder I thought I was using the wrong thing!

    Onto 46 part 2

    ReplyDelete
  49. You are welcome @Maxhug and @Khandi. Now help at part2. It's knight's move and knight is at b1 and king at e8, I wonder if we have to find 8 letters again.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hint posted on Nord "you need to beat a king"

so thinking we need to look for a king who is dead given the words in middle 2 rows

    ReplyDelete
  51. back again and on 46b with you

    ReplyDelete
  52. 47. net connection is disturbing, cannot play much.

    ReplyDelete
  53. reading up on gameplay is mind boggling. moving 2x1 is annoying.
Any hint to the first letter to get me on my way

    ReplyDelete
  54. @maxhug common word. 1st letter is f. Cannot play much today, 47 should be easy, but cannot see anything.

    ReplyDelete
  55. jumping like mad on the chessboard, how many letters are we supposed to find?

    ReplyDelete
  56. @maxhug I am not taking note of the answers, can you please mail me the answers of 14 and 29? Or two home addresses at 15 and 30?

    ReplyDelete
  57. 47

Not many clues to figure level out level 47. Found Highlighted clue and googling like crazy the text. but not sure what I'm suppose to look for?

    ReplyDelete
  58. on47 there are hidden letters in the picture

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hi Chipsi, I zoomed on thepic, but don't find any hidden letters. Where is it? Playing with brightness contrast also gave nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I downloaded it from the start page (don`t know if this matters) used GIMP and played with contrast and brightness (pushed both to the right)
If you don`t get it, tell me and I upload it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thank you chipsi, actually there is nothing in level pic. Now I get it.

    ReplyDelete
  62. On 48, thank you again @Chipsi.

    ReplyDelete
  63. @faltu help me please, still wondering about the messages in picture

    ReplyDelete
  64. okay, I still don't know what to do with lvl 8 -.-'

    ReplyDelete
  65. POP got it, it`s POP-day for me today

    ReplyDelete
  66. On 48.

For 47 you have to use GIMP. I tried another photo editor and it didn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  67. @Chipsi find a word which has not been used till now.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I know the cipher, what to decode here?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Ugh... Still stuck on lvl 8.

The glass faces to left. Is the answer related with the answer on lvl 7?

    ReplyDelete
  70. is there anything in picture of lvl48? GIMP asks me if I like to convert to RGB or not because of iMac? Don`t know what this means and couldn`t find anything in picture, yet.

    ReplyDelete
  71. @fairuza, yes it is, adding letters helps

    ReplyDelete
  72. cant find anything in google about hidden text? is it an anagram because nothing good comes of that either.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @faltu said "I know the cipher, what to decode here?"

    I'm wondering the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think I know the code, the highlighted text could be the key but where is the thing to decode

    ReplyDelete
  75. @chipsi is the answer : answer from lvl 7 + ray? I've tried it but I got nothing

    ReplyDelete
  76. I am trying u****** as key word and text to decode and vice versa but nothing so far.

@chipsi I didn't find anything in the picture.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @fairuzaf don`t forget to anagram!!

lvl 48 googling names seperatly brings me to christoper vogler and albus dumbledore :)

    ReplyDelete
  78. I tried every possible word as keyword but nada.

    ReplyDelete
  79. have to leave now, see you tomorrow and good luck!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I googled seperate and got Albus Dumbledore and Arnold Vogler which both are from HP although we were given Volger and not Vogler.

Stil stuck az heck on 48

    ReplyDelete
  81. 48 I have no idea where to start.

1st. dont know what Im looking for
2nd. wont know cipher til I find what to decode.
3rd Dont have any clue to what pic means.

    having a dumb moment

    ReplyDelete
  82. I think I know what to decode and the cipher but still cannot find the answer, Bye for today, will try tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Got a hint from Tymka on Nord:

"find another screen or pic - doesn't matter"

so I'm trying to find another pic in the level using methods we've tried before but not working so far.

    ReplyDelete
  84. @khandi opposite to find another one.

    ReplyDelete
  85. are the numbers on lvl 9 related to the ASCII codes?

    ReplyDelete
  86. @fairuzaf yes, they are ascii.

    ReplyDelete
  87. @faltu - What do you mean by opposite? Earlier I tried changing the 1 to a 2 (and that didn't work). So to do the opposite I tried going the other way - changing the 1 to a 0 and/or deleting it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. great to see others are making progress for 48. As for me none of the hints posted are helping.

    ReplyDelete
  89. opposite of the pic name. I know what to decode but stiil something is going wrong for me.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Ok bye for today, solve 48 and leave some hints.

    ReplyDelete
  91. yay finally found 48b. Google and find what the opposite of U******* is and you should get a word starting with M

    ReplyDelete
  92. Any hints on what c***** to use?

    ReplyDelete
  93. I've tried ROT 13, got nothing... (lvl 10)

    ReplyDelete
  94. I thought it be Caesar or sub cos of pic.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hello All! Just went straight to catching up instead of posting useless comments.

Now I have problem, Level 47. Pic into GIMP asks about converting to RGB... should I put pic in GIMP? Do I have to put pic in GIMP? Can I just get the answer to riddle? HeeHee

    ReplyDelete
  96. Hi michjean. You do need to use GIMP but make sure you view the correct image. Note the hint "home, sweet home". The image that appears on the level page won't work ;) You'll need to play with the contrast.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Give me hints for lvl 10 please... I've tried the caesar codes but got nothing

    ReplyDelete
  98. @michjean, for level 47 (and with a little gamma bright):

Click here to see the hidden text in Home Pic

    ReplyDelete
  99. @fairuzaf,
Go to Purple Hell and use ROT cipher.

    ReplyDelete
  100. For level 48. Use Bifid cipher.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Wew... pic on lvl 12 is creepy LOL

    ReplyDelete
  102. Finally onto Level 49. Why are most of the levels in this riddle far more complicated (than I feel) necessary?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Edgar!! You are Dear!

Slight problem getting to 48b. Found opposite but put in as M******** and with #1 & #2 in both htm & jpg but nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  104. @fairuzaf - that was so many levels ago - what is it about or what is on your screen?

    ReplyDelete
  105. @michjean 2009 Calender. with 'e' not 'a'.

    ReplyDelete
  106. @michjean - what you have should work with the 1. Maybe check spelling???

    ReplyDelete
  107. @michjean, wasn't near to read and now have to go for longer. Your m... word should work to give you the thing to decode.
Gotto go. See you and good luck there.

    ReplyDelete
  108. @fairuzaf - Google Fr**** 13th + fear (it's the name of the fear of that particular date)

@khandi - thanks.. the story of my life on this riddle - misspelling

Is it just me, or does it seem like there are just more steps to each level, and the steps aren't really making much sense?

    ReplyDelete
  109. @Edgar - Bye! and thanks again!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. @fairuzaf, sorry if not helping enough. And sorry for misleading you in that other level with the math. I told you #2 was division. Well, I never meant to say the 'second number' but literally the 'number 2'
Anyway, a little piece of advise for you. Read the comments. More than enough help is there.

    ReplyDelete
  111. arrgh. I got the letters ALANQRUQ for level 48 but not anagramming

    ReplyDelete
  112. @Edgar well, sorry for making you fell bad. It's my fault. Thanks btw!

    @michjean okay, thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  113. @maxhug - get rid of the z (I made the same mistake)

    ReplyDelete
  114. @maxhug- and no need to anagram... just use the Bifid from PH and enter letters from 48b

    ReplyDelete
  115. thanks guys. Got it.

Okay thats all for me till 2moro.

    Enjoy and Happy Easter

    ReplyDelete
  116. 49 - so far
-Quote from Heroux and hidden hint to url ending
    -W** W*****1 from pictitle
Googled and got so much that I have a headache LOL

    ReplyDelete
  117. huh, I really need to sleep. Bye all! Thanks for helping me

    ReplyDelete
  118. YW @fairuzaf :)

I'm off for a bit... last minute shopping (must get the giant peanut butter filled chocolate easter egg) BBL

    ReplyDelete
  119. Hello everyone!

    @faltu, thanks for leet hint.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Got an egg in level 49. Look for diseases.

    ReplyDelete
  121. @edgar, there you are! Everytime when I'm about to log off, you arrive.

49, I have been staring at my 5 pics and googling like crazy for a long long time.

    ReplyDelete
  122. And as annoyingly usual, NOTHING standing as a clue for 50 :(

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm still staring at my 5 weapons trying to figure out their relationship with diseases.

Honestly, I want to quit not. It's not fun getting stuck every other level.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Ruff, wiki helped me... ICD-10

    ReplyDelete
  125. Found the egg page. Thanks @edgar.

    ReplyDelete
  126. lvl 50. Idk how to solve this one, and looking at the stored cookies gives seemingly nothing. Hmm....

    ReplyDelete
  127. I'm back and stuck. Have 5 pics. 4M's & 1G. Looked at Edgar's hint and looked and looked and still don't get it. Is there another hint to push me in the right direction?

    ReplyDelete
  128. @michjean, use initial letter of diseases in the list to make a (not anagrammed) word.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I feel dizzy looking at the egg. The most obvious thing suggested by the extension does not work.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Ruff, the egg page spells the straight answer.

    Connect these ///

    ReplyDelete
  131. Late hints:
@michjean, make sure you use the correct (hidden) extension.
@Ruff, word in egg page is backwards.

    ReplyDelete
  132. WOW! My eyes are hurting!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Thanks @edgar. 50 now.

The extension was confusing me. I tried to type b****y.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Don't thank, Ruff. Could you solve lvl 50 for me instead? :P

    ReplyDelete
  135. I opened in Gimp and zoomed out to 25%. Am I looking at the dark or light areas for letters?

I have something like 7 of them (I think). There is no word jumping out at me.

    ReplyDelete
  136. @Edgar - How in the world did you manage to find that wiki page? Even now knowing that's what I needed I have no idea how one would know to look for it.

A big thanks and onto 50.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Hi! I'm back for a short while. Spent some time catching up and now I'm staring at the dark side pic on lvl 50! Thanks for the help from chessplay and onwards!

    ReplyDelete
  138. nvm - that was a toughie for me... but onto 50...

    ReplyDelete
  139. Well @khandi, a great number of levels in this riddle is not about solving, but mad guessing (which is not fun at all). So, I guess (again) a lucky guess did it-- but I did google for lots of stuff before!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Got milk?? HeeHee.. Sorry, I could not resist that one!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Level 50. I know who's said that. No idea what else to do.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Do you like my new profile picture?

    ReplyDelete
  143. For me, ICD-10 is everyday work, so not that hard figuring out what was needed, but still took me some time. @Michjean, I made the same mistake as I think you did on that pic... took a while to try it backwards. And now, another lvl with some imagination needed it seems. Not my strongest part.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Lol @ruff, it's nice with changes (says the one that will remain a camel forever). They look cute and dangerous!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Awww @Ruff - that is adorable - and appropriate ;P

    ReplyDelete
  146. I know, they are cute, aren't they? Now want some cookies?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Had to be away for some minutes, but back now.
    LOL your avatar @Ruff!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I'd love to have some cookies, but hesitate to come to the dark side. Feels quite good here.

    ReplyDelete
  149. What to do??? I'm googling the sentence, and I KNOW I shouldn't google at all!

    ReplyDelete
  150. @Ellie - backwards was not my problem (I'm always backwards - haha) I just couldn't really "see them" without bright and contrast LOL

Why is 50 so hard? I'm taking a break for a bit... this shouldn't be this hard.

    ReplyDelete
  151. (Level 50) Playing with the pic in GIMP gives me some colours on some of the letters but I can't make out anything.

    ReplyDelete
  152. @khandi, sounds good. I'm not good enough with GIMP to find something like that yet.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Oh, @Khandi, I think I see the colors now too. Looks like there is something hidden behind the text. I wish I knew how to work with this.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Level 51 now.

    Kudos to @MishuAnubis at Nordinho.

For 50, look for another pic in s*****.

    ReplyDelete
  155. image manipulating... :(

    ReplyDelete
  156. Found a message in the background pick! Not the best settings yet, but i see it with lights on 12 and contrast on 4 in GIMP!

    ReplyDelete
  157. For 50, look for the 2nd pic. Use Gimp Threshold #1.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Great Ruff!! Will try to get it then... I think it's not source what you mean..

    ReplyDelete
  159. I can't remove layers ... do not know how. I can see colors behind right side letter and , ... but do not how to get at them. Anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  160. @michjean, do you have PhotoScape? I found it easier there than in GIMP. Just open the pick and go to threshhold and it's right there.
Otherwise, play with GIMP... don't have to remove layers but play with threshhold or lights/contrast.

    ReplyDelete
  161. @michjean, open the picture with Gimp. Click Colour-Threshold-Preset #1.

    ReplyDelete
  162. And, forget about the colors behind those letters. That's not the pick to use, but open the background pic instead... it's all black.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I have to make dinner now. Be back later to deal with the b** c*** of 51.

    ReplyDelete
  164. 51 finally!
    Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! I'm a dumbass :(

    ReplyDelete
  165. Oh Ruff!! You can't leave now!! You are the gimp-image-layers-remover in the team!!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Darn! It's precisely image manipulating what have made me quit other riddles before...

    ReplyDelete
  167. Thanks to those who left the hint about using threshold. I'm a GIMP novice and didn't even know about the existence of that function.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Quitting for tonight. Tried to draw the bars and convert them, but the tools seem to be picky about width (and I probably forgot some) lol. Kaankanat posted that he might make the pic clearer tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Well, I don't know how to get the code out of that pic in 51. If there's a way to do it, it's way beyond me. Will take a break too, and will ponder if it's worth coming back to "solve" some more. Fun with playing this one has been progressively fading away...

    ReplyDelete
  170. Hello all! I am very much stuck at 50. Tried image manipulation with gimp as ruff said, but for me the letters only become hazy, I do not see any new pic or anything new. Please help.

    ReplyDelete
  171. @faltu, it's the black background picture the one you need to use, not the one with the text.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Thank you Edgar for your help, but using gimp and setting threshhold to 1 only gives me hazy text no black background.

    ReplyDelete
  173. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  174. @faltu, did you find the 2nd picture. Check s***** and search png.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I am not able to do my background completely black there is always some text however hazy, please help.

    ReplyDelete
  176. @faltu, emailed you. Let me know if it still doesn't work. I'll email you the modified image.

    ReplyDelete

  178. faltu, right-click on the background of the level page (not on the picture with the text); select View Background. Differently to other levels, this one has 2 pics in it. One of them is the infamous background pic.

  179. @faltu, I clicked outside of the text image in the level. Click to the right of it and select "view backgound image", You should have a completely black picture called something like "thezodiacisstillthere".
Thats the one to take to a editing program.
