  9. Hi @juliet - welcome!

I can not find my notes for that level (this riddle has made my desk a "Zodiac Pit". If you use CTRL F on the comment pages, you will be able to find hints and sometimes outright answers (I would start looking at comments after 400 - there are 200 comments per page) Hope this helps for the future:)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Are we supposed to see this (is my Flash Player kaput again)?

    ReplyDelete
  11. @ faltu. Thanks for checking. But what am I doing wrong then???? I can't get an answer that works.

@juliet. I have the level bookmarked but no notes. And unfortunately, I don't remember how it was done. But I did use this board to get it so I agree with michjean. While it might be a pain to go through so many comments - it might be your best option. Good luck :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. juliet view source and search for the sentence, it should look like this

    Ah! He k(font color="#e6e6e6")i(/font)lled me! He... T(font color="#e6e6e6")h(/font)

you need the letter with another font. this one shows you the first two letters: i h

  13. khandi check mail.

I tried to leet the whole a***(*****)** and got an anagram but that's not the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @chipsi - Did you remember all of that??? I can't remember much of anything before the zodiac system. I have gone back through the comments to help people.

@khandi - I didn't turn my calculator upside down - I entered #1 instead of l and I didn't sound out the L33t word. Oh, and it is htm.

    ReplyDelete
  15. no, I don`t remember everything, I went back to the level and sometime remember what we did an sometimes I find left notes on my desk.

Still don´t get anything on 55.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The only other thing I can think of is to go back to maybe level 28 or something that has to do with this. But I don't remember how to do that. Please let me be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I see nothing on page source, nothing with select & so far anagrams or ciphers. Stuck Stuck Stuck

    ReplyDelete
  18. ha, yeah, on 56!!!!
for 55 you don`t want to b**** ON

    ReplyDelete
  19. Perhaps something with words that I can now see (all are related to levels).

    ReplyDelete
  20. Stupid me, I even tried B****on, and noticed the no is mirrored but did not try the opposite, thanx Chipsi.

    ReplyDelete
  21. In level 56 my pic wont load.

    ReplyDelete
  22. it this a spelling mistake in the picture name?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yep. There's a spelling mistake. I'm guessing on purpose but haven't been able to figure out why yet.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Cannot. get. answer. to. go. into. URL. This time I did all 4. Ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  25. one letter is missing from picname.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Fixing the spelling mistake doesn't do anything.

    ReplyDelete
  27. and a missing apostrophe in dont

    ReplyDelete
  28. But b****off is correct to get to level 56, right? Or not?

    ReplyDelete
  29. yea michjean that´s right

    ReplyDelete
  30. Not letting me. I must have missed something. If you don't have everything (each pic - each entry) you cannot proceed.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Does you pic load at the htm page, for me it wont I can see it in gif only.

    ReplyDelete
  32. gif not found
    htm not found
    jpg not found
    png not found

    ReplyDelete
  33. yes, I can see picture on htm page

    ReplyDelete
  34. @micjean - I don't know why that wouldn't work for you. Did you not see each pic on that level?

@faltu - for me the pic did load in the htm page. It's a very large pic that takes up almost the entire screen(but it's smaller on the image page). Can you see text on the htm page?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Michjean be sure to put your answer in zodiaccarnage page with htm ext. It should be right, once before I had faced same problem and after five or six reload it took the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can see the text but not the image, it appears as broken. And hope there is nothing in the pic, because using gimp I cannot found anything.

    ReplyDelete
  37. can´t find anything in picture with gimp. but the mountain looks like it doesn´t belong to the picture, or am I meanwhile paranoid?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Were there only 3 pages to level 55.
    Mirrored boxes then
    triangle then
    NO!

It should be after that to put in answer.htm, right?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Bye for today, see you all tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Chipsi - can you send copy of your whole url to get to level 56 (to compare with what I have) please?

    ReplyDelete
  41. @mich - email me the entire url you're trying to enter and I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong.

    (56) I tried to anagram 2 words that stand out. Although I got something that seemed to makes sense - it wasn't the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bye @faltu - Enjoy and Be Safe! Thanks for all your help.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @khandi - Send me something. Cannot find your email. Did you ever send to me before?

    ReplyDelete
  44. just tried to combine the two misspelt words, used the missing u where an apostrophe should be an got donut LOL. it´s not the answer

    ReplyDelete
  45. @Chipsi - Yeah!! Same exact thing I was putting in but copy paste from yours and viola - level 56. What in heaven's name went wrong, I will figure out later. Ick! Ugh!

@faltu - if you read this - 11 times entering and once pasting to get to level.... I hope that this doesn't happen to more people and this far into the riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  46. @michjean - email sent

Well, I've tried manipulating the pic, finding another pic plus a bunch of random stuff that I don't remember. (Though I know I never tried using donut, lol)

    ReplyDelete
  47. so michjean help on 56, don`t know what to do

    ReplyDelete
  48. still at 55c looking at NO.
Help. And just to think I just got back from KRyptos and solved that already.

    ReplyDelete
  49. okay I`m going mad! donut+trust anagraming gets: turn to dust. Believe me I tried to get the picture dusty!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Good morning all. So, pic in 51 is clearer!
Well, i did the conversion manually last night... at least that made me more familiar to GIMP features, LOL.
@Ruff, thanks so much for that. REALLY appreciated :)

    OK, catching up now...

    ReplyDelete
  51. @maxhug you are nearly there just add off

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good evening Edgar, hurry up and help on 56

    ReplyDelete
  53. Having troubles with 52. Translated using the taboo word, but it's not taking my answer. Am I missing a step? An egg maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yeah! maxhug you are back!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Must nibble food with mum who brought food... eating very very quickly (I am not hungry, but you cannot tell my mum that) BRB

    ReplyDelete
  56. I have a thought but haven't been able to make it work yet so not sure if I'm on the right track.

    The level page states: D*** T**** T***
If you look at the pic title, you can spot the word T***. Since we're told not to T**** T***, I started to wonder if we need to delete that part.

But as I said, haven't been able to make that theory work and I'm not even sure if there's anything to it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Edgar find the man who wrote the three novels (just google the first three words) picture google his name and you`ll find what you need.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @chipsi.
Ehm... I'm stuck in 52... God isn't answering.
Morse message is not working here...

    ReplyDelete
  59. @at chipsi thanks and every1 else who helped

    56

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well, this seems to be a good time for lunch. Good luck there ahead. See you all later on.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi all I had gone to bed, but felt wide awake and here again. Edgar it is morse code, I have for got whereas white or black which one you have to take, but it starts with a dash, a wide one.

    ReplyDelete
  62. oh, sorry edgar. There is barcode in the picture, hardly visible, translate the bars: wide narrow narrow narrow = -... (It is the first letter)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Back.. it is solved, right? HeeHee

    O.K. trying for ideas...

    ReplyDelete
  64. I got a tip that we need to find another image that looks like this one but is correct. I tried already to find another image but failed.

Now that we know what to do first, any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Movies come to mind - it looks like a movie poster.
    E.T.
    Escape to witch mountain
    Escape from witch mountain
    etc.

    Maybe

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm looking for a connection with no trust.. them.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Nope. Sorry. Nothing. Changing direction. Anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  68. @ellie, thanks for 52 clue.

It seems that the Gimp procedure for revealing the b** c*** is not useful anymore. I'll remove the comment so that it won't confuse other people.

    ReplyDelete
  69. HeeHee - one way of doing I got Mrs Tut... did not work unfortunately

    ReplyDelete
  70. There is something that I had tried right at the beginning didn't working - yet someone on another forum who passed this level confirmed that it was the right thing.

I wonder if it's a problem similar to what michjean had earlier.

Can I share what I tried with someone so they can let me know if it worked for them?

    ReplyDelete
  71. still can`t find second picture on lvl 56. Can`t be so difficult, can it? I even tried theyareamongus

    ReplyDelete
  72. @faltu. Thanks for your help on 52. I totally ignored the first dash and got stuck to a useless 'S'
Funny thing is that my wrong message did make sense, LOL. Moving on now...

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hi @Ruff - Thank you so much for Gimp tutoring.. I learned alot and spent less time than printing and snipping. Lightened one pic slightly more than the other for reference and did it all on my own.

    ReplyDelete
  74. @khandi got your email and it`s the same I tried many times before and it doesn`t work. I copied your url and tried again and got againg the image-not-found-page. You are sure that it is the right answer, why aren`t we getting the picture??

    ReplyDelete
  75. I've been told that it is the right one. I tried to see if kaankanat is online but he doesn't seem to be.

    ReplyDelete
  76. lvl 56 now.
So, we need to find a second pic, eh? And no ideas to be seen. Hmm...

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oh No! Is there a problem. We will be able to finish, won't we? I am hoping if there is something wrong it will be fixable. I did not like that earlier.. very very frustrating:(

    ReplyDelete
  78. seems we are forced to a break as long as somebody can view the picture :(

    ReplyDelete
  79. As far as I can get from the comments is that the change to be done in the URL in order to get the second pic is at the beginning of it, isn't it?
Anyone would like to share the type of a change to be done?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Noone is around anymore, hmm.
    I'm off too.

    ReplyDelete
  81. @edgar, I'm still here!

    ReplyDelete
  82. @edgar as far as we know you have to fix the spelling mistake to get the second picture, but currently it doesn`t work.

    ReplyDelete
  83. @Edgar - We're not sure, but we have a strong suspicion that we made the correct change but for some reason we keep getting the message that it's wrong.

Until we can get that suspicion confirmed, we're pretty much stuck with nowhere to go.

I can email you a hint about what we tried so maybe if you get it, you can see if it works for you.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Or rather than email a hint, chipsi can tell you exactly what we tried, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  85. Well, I had better do some work while waiting. Can't see wasting time refreshing for some kind of response and definitely do not want to beat head against wall if it will serve no useful purpose. (Besides, it is too sore already from this riddle - I picked a doozy for my first, right?)haha

    ReplyDelete
  86. Ruff, are you still there?

    ReplyDelete
  87. I'm still here. Working on 56 now.

    ReplyDelete
  88. ok good. What are your thoughts/tries?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Just started a minute ago, so haven't done much.
I've tried: mountain, take away "them". Checking Gimp and properties. That's all.

    ReplyDelete
  90. ok, i've tried fixing missing u and them removal too, as well as trying some other image extensions. Nada so far..

    ReplyDelete
  91. Both MishuAnibus and Tynka on Nord passed 56 and are now on 57. Maybe it's not a problem with the riddle and we are making a mistake. I sent both a PM containing the url we're trying but haven't received a response yet.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Taking a coffee break! BRB

    ReplyDelete
  93. @khandi, and what's that?

    ReplyDelete
  94. I mean, is there a problem with posting that?
If it's the wrong thing (not the actual answer), then why not saying it out in the open? I mean, why hinting in private when we are still brain-storming here?

    ReplyDelete
  95. I cannot seem to let this go. No u in mountain ' missing in don't. Trust + visit or trust + misspelled mountain. I keep coming back to trust.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Could the text be taken as Dont trust the 'M'?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Tynka responded to my PM and confirmed that we have the correct url (correcting the spelling).

Which I guess means we're stuck for real.

Why would it work for some people and not others?

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hello @Edgar - I say hello @Ruff and miss you - where are my manners (as messy as my brain right now) Please say you are very near answering the level (you are on 56, right?)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Hi there @michjean. I am in level 56, but feeling way apart from that 'we'

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hi @michjean, me too, 56!

    ReplyDelete
  101. @khandi - which was corrected - the m or the d?

    ReplyDelete
  102. that`s really great, we have the anwer to get the second picture for hours and aren`t able to view it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. oh, wait a second. All this time I've had the right pic!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Whenever we enter the wrong URL, this changes... but NOT now!
The error pic IS the right pic!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Ruff, I need your GIMP skills now!

    ReplyDelete
  106. @edgar, love you! Found it too.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'm trying. I hope I won't let you down.

    ReplyDelete
  108. At this point, the author may have to change things slightly for this level anyway, so I do not see the harm in all trying the answer (if 2 have already passed, then most likely, they will have the pleasure of finishing). We will have the pleasure of finishing also, eventually. I believe the challenge is in the game (changed, redone, revisited) it is all the same.

    ReplyDelete
  109. does this mean the image-not-found-picture is the one we need??

    ReplyDelete
  110. I can see 5 or 6 colors in it. Hm, how to extract them?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Oh Joy - now what did I miss that changed on me but I didn't know? Again?!?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yes chpisi. If URL remains, then that's your right pic to work on.

    ReplyDelete
  113. meant *chipsi
    Sorry for the typo! :(

    ReplyDelete
  114. Have not found anything special yet. Will try harder. Gimp threshold will make the mid section disappear leaving www.webs.com. The colour map is interesting though. It looks like m****.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Oh Well, I guess I don't have it correct yet. Will keep on..

    ReplyDelete
  116. no need for apologize edgar didn`t even see your type till you apologized.

really need Ruffs Gimp-skills for that!!!

    ReplyDelete
  117. It's a gif file, so it's already indexed. Open it with Gimp, click Windows-"Dockable dialogs"-colourmap to see the colour map.

To see the threshold, click Image-Mode-RGB. Then click colour-threshold.

    ReplyDelete
  118. It doesn't seem to have any difference from other error images... argh!! I feel useless!

    ReplyDelete
  119. @edgar, thanks for reminding me. I am going to compare it with a regular image not found error screen.

    ReplyDelete
  120. And level 57!!! Hugs Ruff!!! You're great :D

    ReplyDelete
  121. Ruff, I followed your instructions until Color Map and the answer was right there! No threshold needed at all.

    ReplyDelete
  122. @edgar, why can't I see it? :sob:

    ReplyDelete
  123. Yeah for you Edgar!! I am obviously following the wrong path..

    ReplyDelete
  124. idk ruff! Make sure you are using the correct error pic, maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  125. If my url does not change at the top for error page, then I am on the right path, correct?

    ReplyDelete
  126. @edgar, still can't see it! Are you talking about the shapes made by the white squares or are you talking about the numbers in the bottom?

    ReplyDelete
  127. big thanks to Edgar and Ruff!!!! on 57!!

    ReplyDelete
  128. @Ruff, The answer is there in the Color Map little window. Right on the image... letters made by little squares. Ehm, am I making sense here?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Once you save the correct error pic, it should keep its name.
    ufovisitsthemountain.gif

    ReplyDelete
  130. I can't believe we had the right url all along. I see something in GIMP (6 letters) but I can't quite make out what they are. I need to leave and would love to at least finally finish this level before I go.

    ReplyDelete
  131. @edgar, I'm blind or I'm too obsessed with the info given by the little map. I can only see T and Y. Save me please!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Got it Got it POP! Another one for today... I had done before then read it was htm ..went back through clicking each previous.... now to be more educated by Ruff (already copied and printed instructions for future use - I hope you don't mind @Ruff)

    ReplyDelete
  133. @edgar, thanks for saving me. I was working on a wrong pic.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Need to be away for some minutes. BRB!

    ReplyDelete
  135. @michjean, I won't mind. In fact I am so glad that my minimal Gimp skills could help in a couple levels.

    ReplyDelete
  136. On 57 now. Thank goodness!! Have to leave now. Thanks smart people!

    ReplyDelete
  137. Back and entering the maze now...

    @michjean, how are you doing?

    ReplyDelete
  138. @khandi emailed you!

for 57, I walked the maze, on each end there is a different message but don`t know what to do with them, yet, or in which url to put the answer.
If I am not mistaken there are eight options to move.

    ReplyDelete
  139. um.. can't get 3rd and 4th letters R - F - P Last one is (well, with that block at the bottom - kind of) Oh, bother. 2nd and 5th are easy - heehee 2 out of 6 is better than having to guess at them all!

    ReplyDelete
  140. nvm - wasn't (of course) putting in the numeral (taking a break - drinking wine - drinking more wine)

    ReplyDelete
  141. Great you made it through. Let's crack this 57 now, shall we? Really would like to be done with this today!

    ReplyDelete
  142. O.k. got bottle and glass (maybe drinking from bottle before too long) Let's do this!! Only 3 levels away - it had better be only 3

Two intense games (this and SD -Axend) so close together - whew - but I know how to Gimp!!

    ReplyDelete
  143. You guys are fast! I'm still exploring my maze.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Uh Oh - Gate 2-1-2 (That is a not nice Zodiac) I just got threatened. If he's going to kill me, is that like a dead (pardon the pun) end because I can't go any further?

    ReplyDelete
  145. 8 ways to go and 8 Messages on pictures, now what?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Please tell me I am saving every damn image for a reason. Please (lie if you have to).

    ReplyDelete
  147. lol @michjean! Ehmm, yeah. That's the right thing to do...
    *hope so*

    ReplyDelete
  148. nothing interesting from the pictures.

    ReplyDelete
  149. ((sigh)) silently kick myself in rear end for sticking with this ....

    ReplyDelete
  150. Well, again I'm clueless. I've been focusing on the texts this far. Tried removing all repeated letters/words to shorten something to anagram. I don't know if it's what it should be done.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Ahh @Ruff - not now - but maybe we'll have to layer them upon each other in some crazy warped fashion... this riddle has been moments of logic followed by longer periods of wth am I doing?

    ReplyDelete
  152. These are the things that I have tried:
    1. Use gate numbers as dec to text. 4 gates gave me letters and 4 didn't.

    2. Add gate number digits and convert to letter. Cannot anagram.

    3. Use game number digits as m**** c***. Cannot anagram.

The only msg we haven't see is the one at 1-2-1

I have to go out for dinner now. I hope you will leave me some good hints when I'm back.

    ReplyDelete
  153. The repeating of phrases leads me to think this will have to do with numbers (cipher or code).

    ReplyDelete
  154. Argh!!! For a moment I thought I had something good!
My elimination process lead me to a good 2-word anagram, but it didn't work as an answer!!

    ReplyDelete
  155. this maze is killing me tonight!!!
    Will quit it till tomorrow.
Good luck and leave lots of hints!!

    ReplyDelete
  156. @edgar, you may have the answer. Don't forget "don't".

I must run now. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  157. hmm no. Including the 'dont' word makes my 9 letters become 7 that don't anagram too well...

    ReplyDelete
  158. ok when you click on a door (1 or 2) and click on it again to double the number 1-1 or 2-2 it inserts the opposite number in ... becomes 1-2-1 or 2-1-2, correct? I do not want to let the wine talk (but it "is" saying wonderful things to me) heehee hic

    ReplyDelete
  159. @Edgar - I think "Don't" will not be until right before answer... look at past levels. Remember, Zodiac uses what we have as yet not used. So what does he have left that would fit this, or what has not been used that could be used here? (Just my opinion)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Maybe, but... well, my 2 words don't seem to match very well with adding 'dont'. Neither after nor before them. Hmmm... I think I need a short break.

    ReplyDelete
  161. hi all back from a long break still stuck on level 20... i have seen the secret clue and have tried ti use gimp but my gimp doesnt seem to be working. hlp plz

    ReplyDelete
  162. Hi @Bgarcia
For 20, overlap the 2 pics and see where the 'button' points to. Combine then with secret word.

    ReplyDelete
  163. @ edgar thanx i was able to use paints. didnt think it would be that simple. and thanx again

    ReplyDelete
  164. 56 Help

Dont know how to find what is hidden in 2nd pic. Saw earlier posts but dont know nothing about colour mapping

    ReplyDelete
  165. @maxhug77, if you have the correct 2nd pic, then do this to see the answer. Open the picture with Gimp, click Windows-"Dockable Dialogs"-colourmap.
You may have to stretch or strink the colourmap to see the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Has anyone made any progress on the maze? I haven't.

As a side note though, I did some reading about the Zodiac Killer. He wrote 4 ciphers and only one has ever been successfully decoded. So while we might gripe that this riddle is sometimes too hard - it actually is befitting to the story.

Well, I might end up being left behind. It nearly time for bed and I will be away from my computer for most of the day tomorrow. Good luck to all!

    ReplyDelete
  167. @Bgarcia, you have a string formed by two different digits. Instead of 2/3, change them into some other digits.

    ReplyDelete
  168. @ Ruff - good night to you too (and everyone else)

@ Bgarcia - I just left a hint on gamershood. But anyway, convert the numbers you see to ones you can work with.

  178. Any hints for 57
have 8 pics with 8 phrases and hidden clue and 8 gate numbers

    ReplyDelete
  179. Hi @maxhug - had a few personal things to attend to of an immediate nature -

I too have 8 phrases and 8 gate combinations to go with them. I also have the pics for the beginning (creepy door), entrance (great maze) and gates without phrases - so a total of 14 pics.

I see a pattern (probably overthinking) of pairs with gates and phrases (maybe)LOL

    But no hidden clue... where?

    ReplyDelete
  180. Hello to all (may be no one is here now).

Michjean, There is a hidden clue in door pic page, also zodiac maze is also hidden in every pic. Nothing so far in level 57.
Thank you Edgar and Ruff for 56. We were so near and sooooo stupid not to recognize another pic.

  181. Hello @faltu - It has been a long holiday here. Always feels very long with extended family about. LOL

Ha - I was so used to seeing zodiac maze, I did not think of it as "clue"... interesting.

I have not been able to "see" clearly on first pic (creepy door) - will have to work on that one. And also Great Maze doors.

  182. Oh, and I stopped thinking of things such as D*** as "hidden" a long while ago :)

  183. 57

I have spent half the day working on this level.

have tried everything that all have done. running out of options

    ReplyDelete
  184. Well, I must finally get a bit of sleep. I must be getting older as I do not look at holidays as anything much more than extra work :)

@maxhug - Yes, I can understand the frustration. I am also, at times, very impatient (I did not wait for the barcode that destroyed the Michelangelo) and it took me quite some time in other levels to play catch up... hang in there!! Once one of makes a breakthrough the news will spread like a wildfire.

    Best of Luck to Everyone!!

  185. oops! Once one of *us players...

  186. Good morning! No progress on maze yet? Joining stuckpary and hoping fresh mind will help.

    ReplyDelete
  187. No luck yet. But gate 121 keeps bugging me as that has not been used in any other level, many of the others have
