  1. Small-tool Ruff and me have tried all these things also. And what signifies the highlighted text? Apparently it means nothing or have to add theansweris before our answer, I've tried that also, lol!.

  2. Here's the saying translated into the original language but I doubt if it will be of any help.

Bheadh sé níos fearr bheith i do chladhaire ar feadh nóiméid ná bheith marbh do chuid eile do shaoil

  3. Bigtank,
    The first picture is halloweencards.
So the second and third are...

  4. ty s-t i got it now onto 36 with you. having problems with concentration at the moment onto day four of not smoking and my head is a shed lol

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hi :) Just waking up and on 35.

    ReplyDelete
  6. A live dog is better than a dead lion. lol i just love this irish proverb, could sit here all day reading these

  8. stuck at 17. able to form word siege from the finish, but don't know what word should I start with!

    ReplyDelete
  9. ng have you found the directions to follow. i could not find them on the picture properties so chipsi posted thaem on here somewhere

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ng,
    In the picture properties (you can see them if you download the picture and then right-click) is;
    7E
    3S
    3E
    2S
So go from start to finish and don't forget your first letter.

    ReplyDelete
  11. do you mean anagram is unnecessary? and my 1st letter is A or J?

    ReplyDelete
  12. First letter is A.
    And no anagram.
If you follow the directions (7stepsEast etc.) and pick up a letter on every spot you land on, you get a 5 letter word.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Is anyone here? Struggling on 35. Found the pics easily enough and there are a ton of comments, but I'm having a terrible time trying to overlap them, as I can't see through to the one underneath. :s

    ReplyDelete
  14. lol. I type ALL the letters!!! That's why I didn't get it...

    ReplyDelete
  15. lol Ng! I've had many "doh!" moments in this riddle. Actually, hoping to have one any minute now...

    ReplyDelete
  16. mk look through the earlier comments. acrow is already there for you. then look what word the exclamation mark is covering and anagram

    ReplyDelete
  17. @mkganda, overlap second and third one look at the exclamation mark (four letter), than overlap third picture and picture from lvl 34 (the answer for these two has been given in previous posts) (five letters). anagram both together.

    ReplyDelete
  18. :( Oh well, have to go for a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @mk, I'm not by my own computer now or I'd upload an image of the overlapping pictures.
Instead, why don't you have a look at the comments from:
    ruff at 4/20/11 2:58
    s-t at 4/20/11 4:03
    faltu at 4/20/11 11:05
I hope those will help you out!

    ReplyDelete
  20. @mk, to overlap the pics, I used the program PhotoScape which is very helpful in many ways. It's possible to show the pics with different transparency to see through them. Probably possible in GIMP and other programs too.

    ReplyDelete
  21. evening all... are we still stuck on 36?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thanks @bigtank @faltu and @Ellie! :)

I did read through the earlier comments, but this would have been the 2nd or 3rd level on this riddle where I didn't actually "see" it for myself and understand where the answer came from and that's just no fun. Anyway, got it now.

Gotta' go for real now, but be back and on 36 in about an hour. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. level 36 i am assuming we have all seen the hilighted text in the middle of the page. it reminds me of level one

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes @water_lily, still there!
    @mk, glad you'll help solving 36 too!
@bigtank, yes I think we all see it, and it reminded me of an earlier level too. Tried to enter theansweriscomfort but no go. Btw, congrats for now smoking!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi all. Back for another go at deciphering 35 eggs.
I have 12 letters am I on the right track. ^ converted from N*****S and 6 norm. tried anagramming but anagram solver says no results

    ReplyDelete
  26. @bigtank, that should be *NOT smoking of course lol.

@maxhug, read the comments just above for help about the letters. I think you have a few too many. Only 5+4 letters.

    ReplyDelete
  27. lol i knew that ellie got about 5 mins then going to work

    ReplyDelete
  28. tried theanswerisonewithatail.not that either

    ReplyDelete
  29. oh, lvl36 stuck-party is still going on.

    ReplyDelete
  30. hi 2 all. Have nothing to add for level 36. still searching round. done same as the rest of you i supos. Gonna read earlier posts

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi everyone :) Back for a while now. Looking at 36...I think I'll do like @maxhug77 and read earlier posts.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Back again after a bit of work and found we are all stuck at same place. It is very frustrating when nothing works and Kaankanat is also not giving any clues.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @faltu He usually does upon request on Nord, but not so far today. We can get this, let's see...no images and we need google...hmm...

    tried 42 lol
(the answer to life the universe and everything)

    ReplyDelete
  34. also tried blowing in the wind lol

Okay, the answer must be more relevant to the riddle than that, but google?

    ReplyDelete
  35. There is a movie named the coward, though not the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  36. There's a guy named Sir Noël Peirce Coward, though not the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Small-tool I've also tried that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Also tried four feathers, brief encounter and many more movies.

    ReplyDelete
  39. something about this quote, though, is that it's a little ridiculous. How can you be "dead for the rest of your life"? If you're a coward for a minute...you live?

    ReplyDelete
  40. okay guys. may have found something. Doesnt the hidden highlight look familiar to a quite previous level. plus only highlight the hidden line and check source. Why is other sentences present when not highlighted. Extra data plus what was to be done on similar level possibly. Have been trying Need 2nd opinion

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hint from Kaankanat:

This one is a tricky one. Ignore everything. And dont google so much. You just need google to decode something.

    Okay, then! Hmm...ignore everything?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Also notice how cowardice is word of the day. Maybe K** ****

    ReplyDelete
  43. ALSO! For those who didn't know, and this will make you happy, Purple Hell is BACK! Totally tickled. :D

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks @mkganda I think you may have confirmed what I mentioned I found.

    ReplyDelete
  45. huh...I can't open the source when it's highlighted?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hello All and Good Morning! A big TY @faltu (got 35 and will now thpppt! at 36) & @Ellie - I hope you both get to read this - Thank you for the words of encouragement. I really do like this riddle because the answers are very logical and make sense (once you get them, that is).

    ReplyDelete
  47. bummer...cowardice cryptos into operation...not the answer

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've trice a few different ciphers with c*******e not getting anywhere.

@maxhug77 When I highlight the hidden text and right click to go to the source it unhighlights. (btw, I do know that unhighlights is not a word lol)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure we're not using the source on this one?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Aww...@Ruff I never get to play with you anymore! See you later, have a good day! :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. @mk, I have a few minutes now. I have a racoon intruder and the animal control company has just arrived. I have to wait for them to inspect the whole house.

    ReplyDelete
  51. @Mkganda, I think source would remain same whether you highlight or not, I think maxhug meant something different which I do not understand.

I am trying different ciphers from ph, nothing so far.

    ReplyDelete
  52. @mk, just in case we need to compare pictures again, you may use Gimp. Open one pic, then the other as layer and move the opacity slider.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hi @mk! Good morning to you (well, it is morning here)

    ReplyDelete
  54. same here. Tynka on Nord got it and posted this...

    giant hint? hmm...
    ignore l******

    ReplyDelete
  55. l***** must be letters, then have to count numbers? But I've done that also.

    ReplyDelete
  56. umm...I only see level numbers...what am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  57. For level 36:

If you ignore all l****** in a sentence, what is left there would be the things to decode...

    ReplyDelete
  58. The only numbers I see are level....??

    ReplyDelete
  59. hmm, when I ignore letters the only thing left is 36

    ReplyDelete
  60. AHA!!!! Well done @Ruff!!!! Thank you!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks Ruff, I had a hunch that you will solve this one.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Got it, thanks @s-t and @Ruff :D

    ReplyDelete
  63. Got it... but must be putting "them" in. trans***** wrong-- hint please? Am I doing it right?

    ReplyDelete
  64. @michjean, it's m****.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Got nothing on level 37 from putting the text in caesar cypher decoder?

    ReplyDelete
  66. @Ruff (confused - is that what the answer is when decoded?) I thought we were to use m**** c*** to find answer.

    ReplyDelete
  67. translated the WD on 37 for gibberish. Let's see what we can do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  68. decoded text on 37 is latin

    ReplyDelete
  69. I know it is M****, but I'm not sure where to put spaces :(

    ReplyDelete
  70. @chipsi That's what I was thinking...okay, thank you :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. @michjean, m**** is the code. Take the first two sentences, remove all l****** and the ","; take what is left

    ReplyDelete
  72. exactly @water_lily (that is why my previous comment is the way it is) - was hoping to find if partial was correct - need break, I think between them somehow - maybe not

    ReplyDelete
  73. If they are together, keep them together. If they are separated by other things, use 1 space.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Thanks Chipsi,
Got the latin text now and translated it.
    Now what? Counting planets?

    ReplyDelete
  75. D'OH I forgot about the hidden text... no wonder it didn't work for me

    ty@ruff

    ReplyDelete
  76. Also, for 36, when you enter them the way they appear (together or separated like @Ruff said) you need to do minor anagramming. First and last letters are the same and don't forget highlight text :)

37, I must have messed up my translation, because I'm not finding anything with my letters :s

    ReplyDelete
  77. that´s where I´m stuck, too small-tool, counting planets or sth. with zodiac signs?

    ReplyDelete
  78. @michjean & @water_lily_au, I've emailed you. Please check your inboxes.

    ReplyDelete
  79. @mkganda I used this one to solve cipher

    http://rumkin.com/tools/cipher/caesar.php

    ReplyDelete
  80. Sorry guys, how did you get the latin text? I use words to convert the wingdings into other fonts. But that sentence won't get translated.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks, I didn't do that step. Btw, in case you missed my earlier comment, PH is back. :D

    ReplyDelete
  82. Ruff,
I just copied the wingdings text and pasted it in Word and then made it into another normal font.

    ReplyDelete
  83. @mk, that's a really good news! PH is such a useful site.

    ReplyDelete
  84. @s-t, that's what I did but google translate won't work.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ruff,
When you have normal letters, then rot-13.

    ReplyDelete
  86. @s-t, can I email you my letters?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Thanks @Ruff - the anagram is what made sense - another DUH! why did not I see that? onward to stuck at 37 LOL

    ReplyDelete
  88. Ruff,
You don't need a translator. Just Google the latin text and you get a lot of hits.

    ReplyDelete
  89. @s-t, got it. That was the first thing I tried, really, based on the clue on first sentence. I did not know it's a latin phrase. Duh!

    ReplyDelete
  90. You can always mail me Ruff :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Okay, got my phrase and my translation of it...hmm...google

    ReplyDelete
  92. Well, using that planet to start with I went 30 steps (because of the XXX) around the zodiac circle, but that zodiac sign or planet is not the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I have to go talk to the animal control man to see what we can do with the racoon. Will be back later.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Google the main word after rot and translation withh prominent word from pic.

    ReplyDelete
  95. How got 37? Wingdings? What..huh?

    ReplyDelete
  96. @faltu same time! That was actually an easier one for a change!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Not enough hints for me.
    Still stuck on 37.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yes, that was mostly easy after 36. Btw 36 also seems easy after you know what to do!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Small-tool google the word from the pic and the name of the planet.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think 38 is about keyboard.

    ReplyDelete
  101. 38, first translate WDs below, then take it to an appropriate cipher considering the phrase above (go to PH, it's easiest), then google new phrase for translation and google the name in it + biggest part of image (XXX) to find your answer.

    h*******

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yep Faltu, that's what you said before. But I get nothing (maybe because I don't know what the main word is, but if it is zodiac I get a lot of hits without an answer).

    ReplyDelete
  103. Small=tool what do you see in the pic? Three letters.

    ReplyDelete
  104. not on 38 yet

How to translate lower? I do not have planet?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Sorry, I meant 37 before. Woops. :P

    okay 39

    ReplyDelete
  106. solved 38, it's keyboard.

    ReplyDelete
  107. @michjean w***d***s then rot, then translate from appropriate language :)

    ReplyDelete
  108. Where do I start on the keyboard. With the Q? and then?

    ReplyDelete
  109. POP! Got it! on 38 now :) (BIG SMILE)

    ReplyDelete
  110. For 39, I have a list of choices here. The ones I knew well aren't the answer. Starting with the smallest words I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Small-tool you need the word h******n and then do the math.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Finally home from work and ready to go on! I see you solved 36! Thats great news! Will read comments and try to catch up again.

    ReplyDelete
  113. @small-tool there is a word in the image above the '!' First # (-1) applies to first letter (H)

    I'm not on 39, 38b I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thanks Faltu, got it. I was so focussed on trying to read the numbers (very hard to see) that I missed the word in the picture.

    ReplyDelete
  115. 39 pic is same from wiki page, trying to find where the button is pointing.

    ReplyDelete
  116. mkganda,
    To get to 39.
Highlight and answer the question on the egg.

    ReplyDelete
  117. @s-t I agree, very difficult to read the numbers for me too. Are you on the egg? I didn't get to 39. None of my g**s are the right one. :s

    ReplyDelete
  118. Thanks, I got it now. 39 now :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Also there are numbers on pic.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Thanks @Ruff for the help with 36! Now, that's another thing I would never ever have thought of doing! Got 37 quick and now made myself 8 letters in 38 that wont anagram to anything, so... back to reading comments lol.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Faltu,
It's not exactly the same picture. This one has numbers in it (look closely).

    ReplyDelete
  122. Ellie,
    It's not an anagram.
    Welcome back by the way.

    ReplyDelete
  123. My gods are not working... another hint please for last part of 38 (Who?)

    ReplyDelete
  124. sorry guys, what's "a keyboard" (apart from what I'm typing on of course)

    ReplyDelete
  125. Starting now. Morning all!

    ReplyDelete
  126. @water_lily - exactly.. use it and #s below to change what is above

    ReplyDelete
  127. @st, I must do something wrong. I did apply the maths to the word but only last part of the word makes a bit sense. I'm getting GKODEIN.

    ReplyDelete
  128. On 39 I think we have to pick letters from the zodiac sign. But I have a hard time to figure out where is what sign.

    ReplyDelete
  129. ty @michjean... i figured it out - apparently I can't read anymore as I was counting the wrong numbers somehow!

    ReplyDelete
  130. DUH!! I didn't use the keyboard! Should have read the comments a bit more. Sorry for that!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Ellie,
Your first letter is correct, but the second should E+6=O

    ReplyDelete
  132. Please help with who? I got A***** and a bunch of others but not working. Am I misspelling again?

    ReplyDelete
  133. I thought that too Small-tool, but there is no 11 letter word in zodiac sign. To determine which sign is which I just compared another pic.

    ReplyDelete
  134. @michjean check in Egypt :)

    ReplyDelete
  135. Faltu,
I just kept counting on from the first letter if a word didn't have enough letters.
    But no anagram.
Gonna do it again, still not sure if I had the right sign for the right number.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Finally found the correct god! 39!
@michjean, you mean the god? Dont forget to find the hidden text in the lvl and use it too. The name of the god is short, two letters.

    ReplyDelete
  137. michjean,
Do not forget to highlight the page to see what you have to fill in as answer.

    ReplyDelete
  138. lvl 39 and can`t stay long. maybe it is about turning the wheel, is anything in pic-properties?

    ReplyDelete
  139. Am I right with these signs (starting with the top one and going clockwise);
    - cancer
    - gemini
    - taurus
    - aries
    - pisces
    - aquarius
    - capricorn
    - sagittarius
    - scorpio
    - libra
    - virgo
    - leo

    ReplyDelete
  140. wow you guys are doing well. saw earlier posts about 37. I googled the Planet J plus 3 L****RS from pic and still no direction

    ReplyDelete
  141. There are two without numbers, three #10 and two of each - #11 & #9. Clue or not?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yes @st, that's the same order as I got, but from my site the first one is aries (placed the same though).
    http://www.solarnavigator.net/history/astrology/sagittarius.htm

    ReplyDelete
  143. @maxhug, look for a wiki page about a moon.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Small-tool, i think you are right.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I do not find any single word anagramming the letters.

    ReplyDelete
  146. @maxhug
    posted help on Nord :)
Make sure you capitalize J in planet and put a space before your x's. Your first result should be a wiki.

    Kaankanat posted:

What are you looking at? Think something about it and use numbers to pick letters. Order is not important.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I see a pretty obvious 11 letters...could it be?

    ReplyDelete
  148. @max - do it again and look for H******* (mine was in all caps and stood out like a sore thumb)

    ReplyDelete
  149. aries is the beginning of the zodiac cycle (originally anyway)

    ReplyDelete
  150. Nope Faltu,
    The letters won't anagram.
Also tried picking letters from the planets that go with the signs, but no anagram again.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Tried turning the wheel but no anagram again.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Tried using Zodiac Wheel to pick letters, as kaankanat said "what are you looking at?" and "order doesn't matter", but got zoieeeeell which doesn't anagram to anything, then tried Meet the Zodiac Wheel to pick letters, but got metoodddi which is also nothing. No google bar, so I don't think we need signs.

    ReplyDelete
  153. It is a wheel but how to use it? Move clockwise and pick letters? Or move signs so that it is Aries up?

    ReplyDelete
  154. Lol mgkanda,
    Did exactly the same.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Unless author had forgotten, no google necessary here. hmm...

    ReplyDelete
  156. @Edgar That's what I thought too. Everything we need should be here.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Btw.
Kaankanat mailed me he would like to post here as well but he can't.
He can't sign in because he can't choose 'Comment as'

    http://img38.imageshack.us/i/errorne.jpg/

Did anybody ever had that problem and knows hot to deal with it?

    ReplyDelete
  158. @st, I had the same problem every now and then, but closing the browser or refreshing the page mostly takes it away for me. Maybe try FF, IE, Chrome etc?

Now, I went to look for months, and took the first letters. Got fmamj jason lol.

    ReplyDelete
  159. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Thanks Ellie,
He's watching (like a big brother) every step we make here, so he will probably read it.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Well, my best shot is to pick letters from the yellow text above (11-letter long), but got too many E's.
Somehow the signs in the wheel are reversed, but picking letters backwards didn't work also...

    ReplyDelete
  162. @small-tool hmm...I've never had that problem, but I have had a few issues lately. Hope he can fix it.

@Ellie thought of months too, but then wouldn't we have the google bar?

    ReplyDelete
  163. I am looking for ..ahem... more gods.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I thought (heehee) in the beginning that the first three #s were a word, but that fell apart with the other #s (but I still see a pattern).

    ReplyDelete
  165. @Ellie nvm...just did what you did. You were using the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Tried to see it as a clock, so picked the second letter from 'twelve' etc.
Got wotteovhnte and again no anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Tried using degrees, and thought about a clock but not great.

    ReplyDelete
  168. hmm..."what are you looking at? think something about it..."

    ReplyDelete
  169. also tried the first letters of the signs and maths with the numbers. Gave me jxhevgvblz.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Now i think of "constellations". No go...

    ReplyDelete
  171. @Ellie LOL! Wow...we are stuck stuck stuck!

    ReplyDelete
  172. I think to pick letters from a word or sentence there are too many 10, 9 and 11 which will give you same letters.
Tried to turn the wheel clockwise and anticlockwise but no go picking up first letters. There are two signs with no number, tried to pick letters from those also.
Time to go today, hope you will solve this.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Bye Faltu, thanks for all the help.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Could it be so simple as going back? there is a big + in the middle of it the first time we see it, right?
