put the two phrases on a simple text editor, one up and one down and look for similar things
ReplyDeleteForgot all about the level title, so thanks again Segnodelcoma (by the way is that 'the sign of a coma?).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, still don't have it. Do I cross out letters or complete words?
I was just doing that but I was deleting letters.
ReplyDeleteThanks Segnodelcoma.
Good morning.. I am stuck on 16 too. the morse code. Would someone mind sending me the sentence. I just looked into downloading audacity, but don't really want to. Don't think I would use it again and I have tried to decode from listening, but I am making too many mistakes!
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon EnJoy,
ReplyDeleteI did.
Faltu,
Do you already have it? I don't.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI cannot find seven letters only by deleting letters.
ReplyDeleteHave to reverse the letters upside down and notice the similarities? Then have to do it by hand.
ReplyDeleteI think we have to find the letters in the same place of the two sentences.
ReplyDeleteno need to move letters or words, no reverse...when youhave both phrases written just look at them if they have something similar
ReplyDeleteif you can't decode morse here is the phrase (but if you havve an audio editor DO IT! XD)
http://thinkexist.com/quotation/it_is_a_mistake_that_there_is_no_bath_that_will/166422.html
make 5 from the 7 (in order),
ReplyDelete*stares blankly at 17*
I'm lost on this one... staring at letter upside down and getting nowhere.
ReplyDeleteThis is usually where I give up on these riddles.. my computer skills are nil!
for 17, if you don't pay attention you'll need to reload
ReplyDeleteand there is a error contained within
ReplyDeleteStill stuck on 16, cannot find the similarity. Enjoy you are not alone, lol.
ReplyDelete16 is killing me.. I am not even getting the 7 letters as mentioned above, let alone 5
ReplyDelete@ tony
ReplyDeletehow about a spoiler for 16???
I shouldn't play escape games in between (but I like them a lot) but just concentrate on this one. But anyway I think it wouldn't make a big difference; I'm just missing the point. Looked at both sentences (above each other) a long time but can't seem to find the similar things (besides bath and/or drowning with lake) or how to use them.
ReplyDeletePlease another hint and sorry for being not that smart.
I totally forgot about the phrase in the hint. I was only looking at the phrase that was from mark twain..
ReplyDeleteDuh. Now maybe I will get somewhere.
Small-tool if you are stuck too, then I am not feeling stupid so much.
ReplyDeleteOops, didn't refresh, but it's good to see I'm not the only one who's lost/stupid.
ReplyDeleteSorry guys, don't take 'stupid' personal :)
@small-tool
ReplyDeletethere was an error in the phrase you sent me, the word "manner" should be "manners"
Enjoy have you got it?
ReplyDeleteSmall-tool I am very much stupid, nothing to mind.
here is a hint that I got from another message board p.m. I can't find text editor on my mac, but I am looking
ReplyDeletecopy these two phrases into windows txt editor, enlarge the window so that 1 phrase takes 1 line, the second phrase on the second line, now look wherethere are the same letters in both phrases and you will see that there are only 5 letters in the same position in both phrases[/QUOTE]
16: http://i.imgur.com/JVfAt.png
ReplyDelete17: 'etir' should be 'iter'
Charlemagne expanded his beloved building around the big lake but he built too many waiting rooms.
ReplyDeleteIt is a mistake that there is no bath that will cure people's manners, but drowning would help
these are the two phrases, pastethem somewhere and just lok at them! i can't do more because i'dgive you the solution...5 letters
Finally got it.
ReplyDeleteUse the spaces (as place for a letter) too.
thanks tony
ReplyDeleteAnd didn't refresh again.
ReplyDeleteBut thanks anyway Tony and Segnodelcoma.
By the way, are you guys new here on EG24?
Anyway, you guys are a great help and very smart.
well from tony I got the letters.. but the first 5 aren't making a word. B**to?
ReplyDeletedo we need to anagram?
Yep, new here;
ReplyDeleteUsually have all the hints I need from you guys by the time I arrive here (bookmark is Gamershood room escape page)
Anywho, bed for now, too many hours staring blankly at this one (its 2AM here)
EnJoy,
ReplyDeleteLoose the T and the N. No anagram.
Well, welcome here Tony and Sleep well.
hey guys.
ReplyDeleteI stucked on 17. And need some helps here.
Hi Kaan,
ReplyDeleteJust looking at the text file right now.
Is it something like an ancient plague?
Something biblical?
hmm... I have no idea.
ReplyDeletethis URL gives error, but I guess we will use it.
@kaan yes that url does not work, just edit your actual game url with the ending of the url you find that hint
ReplyDeleteKaan,
ReplyDelete"the url gives error" ?
Did you get the text file from 'quickly' (before it's gone) clicking the growing star?
'Open' didn't work for me, but I downloaded it by choosing 'save file'.
yes I saw it, I mean the URL under the text.
ReplyDelete@segnodelcoma thanks! found the right URL.
ReplyDeleteAh thanks Kaan.
ReplyDeleteNever paid attention to that. Thought it was the same URL as the download page.
Anyway, have the egg now and I guess we have to find which bible book to fill in as answer.
hi s-t great to see you have joined us, i knew you would not be able to resist when you saw all the comments.hi kaan. got to 17. opened the word doc. but not sure about the url thingy
ReplyDeleteWell I found the book. It's E.....
ReplyDeleteAnd got a new hint (where to look in that book) and now what?
Lol Bigtank (and Hi of course).
ReplyDeleteYep somehow I seem to be a sucker for riddle games.
Anyway to get the Egg.
Just use the same URL (paste it in another tab) but add '_last word' of the link in the text you downloaded.
@st I still cant find the book. another hint please? :)

ReplyDeleteYou have a book, you have 2 numbers.
Join this two elements and do a search.
Then read the title and take a choice with what you have got.
ok the title, b.... from h.....
ReplyDeleteenjoy's hint at 11.57 was right... but in my version of the bible it's homers not omers

ReplyDeletety seg. got the road but not working. tried .v.. a.... and that word with an n at the end with way
ReplyDeletewhen you started the level you thought about Rome, maybe it's the wrong direction to the question...
ReplyDeletewell I am still here reading up on pythagorean theorums ... and hoping for an ah-ha moment!

ReplyDeletelook halfway down the wiki page i gave earlier all the numbers are ther enjoy. fill in the missing numbers and then convert, i gave the letters earlier, may have to delete, then back to wiki .
ReplyDeletemagic eye on 19
@EnJoy can't you see any familiar numbers on the pythagorean triples page?
ReplyDeleteOk.. I got the numbers, but how to convert to letters? the simple A=1 etc?
ReplyDeletelook halfway down the wiki page i gave earlier all the numbers are ther enjoy. fill in the missing numbers and then convert, i gave the letters earlier, may have to delete, then back to wiki .

ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletebecause the question "quo vadis?" is not in italian but latin
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks again Segnodelcoma.
ReplyDeleteI better delete some comments and look at 19 tomorrow, because it's not my day today.
I can't do magic eye, because I wear bi-focal contacts (one eye for distance and one eye for reading)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter looked at it and she thinks she sees 3,14.
If anyone else can help, please email me because there is no way I can do it
it is 3,14 so what does 3,14 mean? (in italy we use "," for decimal instead of ".")
ReplyDeleteOops, just before going to bed I solved level 19. Guess I was tired and drunk enough to (un)focus my eyes to see it.
ReplyDeleteA hint...?
Well, you got to see it by staring at/behind the picture to see the date and then Google.
Another one; it's a mathematical celebration. Geeks/nerds are happy on this day.
Last one; circles.
POP.. got 19 the magic eye
ReplyDeletethe numbers my daughter saw were correct. but it was not a comma between the numbers it was a period!
that should do it for you!
glad to finally do one on my own. The last few levels made me feel dumber than a shoe!
well small-tool looks like we both solved the magic eye at the same time.. just when I thought I could pat myself on the back!
ReplyDelete20 - a date to remember .. got the band and have listened to all the music which produced nothing
the poem is titled November by thomas hood.
searching Nov. 5??
Is the music different to the photo clues?
ReplyDeletewell the music and the photo have raindrops ... but I tried to put those in.
ReplyDeleteI think it's not the soft machine they have horns and piano it seems like a word at the start but I can't get it and then I just hear ting ting ..this level is nuts it should be about november 5th but i tried all the names I could find on that * guy fawkes* nothing is working
ReplyDeletesoft machine 5 has a song called drop.. and if you listen to it there are sounds of drip drops
ReplyDeleteHi guys, if you need some help , you should go to talk to the official forum... we will follow your problems and we will answer to the questions only there.. thank you :-) Team Mindskell
ReplyDeleteGood morning, stuck on lvl 20. there is a rhyme with november and remember that leads me to an event in london in the 17th century, but this date doesn`t work.
ReplyDeletehi chipsi great to have you on board. You need to find the
ReplyDeleteSpoiler:
whole and rh ..
.. then at the end
Spoiler:
you hear something ... (Twice)
i just got this from the mindskell forum
hi bigtank, just searching for the whole poem and hope to find sth. at the end which sounds the same.
ReplyDeleteRead the r**** ,and look for something that has sound...(use it all)
ReplyDeletethat from tamk at nord
okay, found two thinks that make sound, trying now to find out how to input it.
ReplyDeletehi again. i'm back.
ReplyDeletestill stuck on 16. i decode mors code and it says "it is a mistake ...." after i couple other sentence "charlemange ...." same letters are b,e and l. what is my mistake?
hi Serap, you are missing two letters. Try the link from Tony at 9:30 am
ReplyDeleteOk. thank you Chipsi and Tony. now on 17. in download the file. but i cant read this. i haven't office programs..
ReplyDelete@Serap emailed you, I hope I got the right email address from your website.
ReplyDeleteok chipsi thanks i got your mail.

@Serap, in the bible passage there are t** o**** double the amount and you get the answer f*** o***s
ReplyDeletewhat rhyme? the T.H. one?
ReplyDeleteno, the rhyme with remember november which relates to guy fawkes.
ReplyDeleteon lvl 21 now!!!
ReplyDeletefor 20, at the end of the rhyme there is sth. that makes a sound, you need the whole four words phrase, after that the second four word phrase that rhymes with the first.
bigtank, if you read me, you gave excellent clue. ty.
ReplyDeleteon 19 now.
Hi guys, just back and I see you solved 20.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, but I still don't have it.
I guess I need another rhyme than the one from the egg, right?
How do I find that rhyme?
hi small-tool!! just google remember november rhyme and it should be the first you find
ReplyDeleteIs it the rhyme that has only 4 sentences?
ReplyDeleteIf so, I still can't find a 4 word phrase!?
hi s-t still stuck on 20 too and you are welcome serap
ReplyDeletethat was more annoying then the other annoying one
ReplyDeletethe rhyme you need is 9 lines, not the 4 line
ReplyDeleteyou'll enter 4 words, then enter another 4
God save the King
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony, but somehow I can't find a 9 lines rhyme. With those Google keywords I just keep finding the 4 lines rhyme!?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.colinmcnulty.com/blog/2007/10/19/remember-remember-the-5th-of-november/
ReplyDeletefinaly have a look s-t.only found the short version b4
@small-tool try this link
ReplyDeletehttp://www.yorkshirefireworks.co.uk/gunpowderplot.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunpowder_Plot_in_popular_culture
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony,
ReplyDeleteFinally found the complete rhyme.
On 21 now.
Lol guys, I just found it, but thanks for all the links.
ReplyDeleteAnd let's add another one. I found it here;
http://www.prattontexas.com/_disc1/000003db.htm
On21
ReplyDeletei search Nicaea in wiki. it looks me a mythological. i check it but it didnt work. any clue?
For 21
ReplyDeleteI have the name of the picture it is;
ET IN ARCADIA EGO.
If you look at the first line of the extra info (dog at nicaea) and you cross out all the letters. You end up with 3 letters that are left (r,e,i).
Maybe we have to do something like that with the second line too.
Okey. so second line give us; t,a,o.
ReplyDeleteCould be Serap,
ReplyDeleteBut there's an E left too in 'I recede again'.
And then you get t, a, o, e.
And combined with the other one and anagrammed I get 'oriteae'. Seems to be some kind of plant, but maybe we have to look for Latin, because of 'Memento'.
hey!
ReplyDeleteI stucked on 21 too. If you anagram these 6 letters(without E), you will get somewhere in italy. But then what?
Nvm.
ReplyDeleteGot it, on 22 now.
The extra E left I was talking about you have to substract again.
Just joining in for the morning.. STUCK ON 20!!
ReplyDeleteread entire poem, but not clear on what to enter.
this is what I have been trying but not working
God save the King!
Hip hip hooray!
Well, on 22 I found a list where all 6 persons are on. So now I have numbers, but no idea what to with the numbers and no idea what to do with W and N.
ReplyDelete@small-tool
ReplyDeleteHelp me with 20! I think it should be H** H** H*****
but it isn't working
@st I still stuck on 21. Is it about the plant or the place? or something else?
ReplyDeletemore hints for 21 please s-t :(
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteKaan and Tony,
ReplyDeleteIf you cross out the letters you get 3 letters from the first one and 3 letters from the second one, BUT you also get a letter from 'I recede again' That letter has to be substracted from the first 3 letters, so your answer is 5 letters.

ReplyDeletethanks st! onto 22...
ReplyDeleteI got it.. I found a different version with the correct word! I guess it is a crap shoot what version you get on what site!
ReplyDeleteEnJoy,
ReplyDelete4 words = Correct!
then wait.. 4 words = Correct! again
(and try 'let' if 'make' doesnt work)
s-t and others
ReplyDeletefor 22, I think its location coordinates
Thanks Tony, on 23 now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony and small-tool.. on 22 now also.
ReplyDeleteBTW small-tool.. excellent in finding the name of the painting so fast!
EnJoy,
ReplyDeleteTo find a picture I use this site;
http://www.tineye.com/
5 letters anagrams to alot of different words, maybe i have the wrong letters
ReplyDeleteYes, I use tineye a lot, how were you able to enter the photo? did you use the URL???
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to with my poor computer skills
EnJoy,
ReplyDeleteI first made my own picture with printscreen.
Bigtank,
In the comments above are the right letters.
Anyone,
Any idea about 23?
@EnJoy you can take screenshot of the picture.
ReplyDeleteI need help on 22. I know they are co*******s, but I dont know how to take numbers from this people.
poop, perhaps I have the wrong people list
ReplyDeletebigtank.. begins with "R"
ReplyDeleteKaan and Tony,
ReplyDeleteI used this site;
http://web.hallym.ac.kr/~physics/course/a2u/evolution/img/toptenlistweb.pdf
Well, on 23 I found out that the note is two quotes from two different persons. And now???
ReplyDeleteon 22 I am getting a road in G.B.???
ReplyDeletefor 22, I know what it is... but it doesnt work!
ReplyDeleteFor 22, it is in GB alright.
ReplyDeleteVery famous, very ancient.
just google the letters, numbers in order
ReplyDelete(x 00 00 00, x 00 00 00)
there should hopefully be a picture thats recognisable
g/l with 23 s-t, i'm done for the day
I already found it and I know, it is very famous, but it doesnt work...
ReplyDeleteAm I have to try latin of it or something?
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony (but I'm afraid I need more than good luck). See you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWell, for 23 I can't find anything in common between those two people and the level title doesn't help either.
Kaan,
ReplyDeleteNo latin, no anagram, just one word;
S.........
It should work.
EnJoy,
ReplyDeleteYour second number in North is wrong.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletei refreshed the page and finally it worked. But I dont understand why it didnt work before...
ReplyDeleteWell that figures.. I screwed a number up!
ReplyDeletei think we are looking for something on step 17. zoomed in on the flag but could not see anything
ReplyDeleteok thing are not always what they seem maybe they are not fixed
ReplyDeleteGreat find Bigtank, thanks.
ReplyDeleteBut don't know what to do with the new clue?
lol me neither, trying to change the url on both picture but nothng
ReplyDeleteI don't see anything on the flag.. my Mac isn't letting me right click on it to zoom and if I use my regular zoom it isn't close enough
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I think this riddle has gotten the best of me. we have a rare sunny day so I think I am going to spend it walking the dogs and in my garden.
Waving white flag!
i think we need to lay one over the other and pick the letters where the white boxes are. s-t how to that ?
ReplyDeleteWhite boxes Bigtank!?
ReplyDeleteI only have the main page and the two yellow/brown notes. But no white boxes on them?
on the second image ther are white marks. line them up
ReplyDeleteBy the way, those two notes are 'quick-time' files. But I have no quick-time.
ReplyDeleteAre the movies? Am I lost now?
Ah now I see.
ReplyDeleteI had no white marks on the original, but when I made it a picture the white marks were there.
Well, I have an Egg now (with using those letters you get from overlay), but again no idea what to do now?
ReplyDeletedid you use anagram. what does the word mean
ReplyDeleteNo anagram, Just from top to bottom and from left to right.
