ReplyDelete@bigtank where'd you go? Need your help.
ReplyDeleteYay! Hello! Are you on 52 with me now?
ReplyDeletegot h***** d***** but where to put it? Or do I have to answer it?
ReplyDeletelol...nvm got it. On 53 now! Woot!
ReplyDeleteyes onto 52 . is it a bar....
ReplyDeletetext file with seemingly gibberish. :s
ReplyDeletegive us a clue for 52 mk
ReplyDeleteGo here to decode
ReplyDeletewiki
7 1/0 sets - 6 per side so, 2 6-letter words. If you struggle (like I did) finding some, scroll down to the chart that has even/odd parity columns and you'll get it. Simple number/letter conversion. Ditch the 9, that's just a hint for as to what it is.
52, less time consuming break all 0/1 sets down to bar amounts ie 0001001=3121 b/c there are 3 then 1 then 2 then 1 digits. This is one you'll need the parity for.
ReplyDeletecould be i while here making tea too
ReplyDeleteok think i have the answer where to put it ?
ReplyDeleteYou can't enter in the answer box, but you can click the answer button ;)
ReplyDeleteaha ty 53
ReplyDeleteoh, I think I just noticed something important here.
ReplyDelete@bigtank do you want me to email you? You are better suited for this tower file than I and I could use you if you're still here.
yes go for it i have a gibberish text file too
ReplyDeletewell, that didn't work. :s
ReplyDeletei had problems with a file like this b4. s-t said to just open it and not download it, he ha to mail me in the end, it may be cause we use chrome
ReplyDeletegrr...I get nothing and there are NO comments anywhere about this one. :s
ReplyDelete@bigtank oh...okay, like on some Last Enigma levels where we didn't get the same source hints or files?
ReplyDeletemaybe may have to get him to have a look again for us lol . nobody on nord to ask
ReplyDeleteJust opened it in FF. *fingers crossed*.
ReplyDeleteI even selected "open with" IE and it is the same gibberish. :s
ReplyDeletemailed s-t
ReplyDeleteBummer. Oh well, gotta go for today. At least we're here in the Tower now! Maybe @chipsi @lulu or @zephyr can get it. Email the proper file if you get it, k? Have a great Saturday! :)
ReplyDeleteyes see you tomorrow
ReplyDeleteHi, back again. Thank you @mkganda for your hints for 51!!
ReplyDeleteon 53, I tried to open the txt-file with open-office, I was asked for username and password, but it was the same gibberish as in the browser.
ReplyDeleteFor me it looks like a picture which was converted into txt, so I tried to open with paint but can't. Cannot download it either. Now I am looking for a free txt to picture converter...
Good morning, I'm still not able to open the file, but I think I've found sth. Look at url, it is called gate csi but this is not a name for the greek letter (should be xi).
ReplyDeleteTynka on nord wrotes for 53:
ReplyDeletesave the file then change the ex*******
I can't save the file, I hope one of you can.
Chipsi,
ReplyDeleteI'm not playing this riddle anymore, but Bigtank mailed me about it.
To save the file I chose (when I had the gibberish text open) File (in Internet Explorer) and then Save As.
Anyway I mailed you.
i just can find how to change this file,
ReplyDeletethanks @small-tool
ReplyDeleteTrying to find out how to change it.
@bigtank, maybe this helps to find out how to change:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1269/vista_show_unhide_file_extensions/
Still don't know to what it should be changed
good find chipsi but i can not even find the file name. just called a document when i save it
ReplyDeleteDon't know exactly what you mean. I got the file from small-tool and it is called document.txt
ReplyDeleteDo we have to change the .txt to sth. different?
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteObviously I'm doing sth. wrong. changed .txt to .mp3 and opened with audacity but can only hear noise.
ReplyDeletewell u are doing better than me
ReplyDeletemail sent chipsi
ReplyDeleteworking slowly through 54 . opened the file, found the map. now looking for letters
ReplyDeleteok got to 56 can some one come out to play please
ReplyDeleteHi, bigtank. I'm just back from work and reading my mails and trying to catch up.
ReplyDeleteoh, and thanks for your mail!!!
ReplyDeletenp, just give me a shout if you need me
ReplyDeleteFeeling a little bit stupid at the moment, struggling with the password on 54.
ReplyDeletelol that was a good one, it is the notes , take it literally
ReplyDeletePOP got it, feeling really stupid yet. :)
ReplyDeleteHelp on 54 please. I know what to do but not how. for example: I think I know which letters are N****, I try to find this letters in the name of the places but there aren't N***** letters in this name. Maybe I it is only a language problem.
ReplyDeletejust ignore the map it is wrong try to make your own words, just let me know if u want a mail
ReplyDeleteyes, please mail!!! Too much vocals and for me and a lack of vacabulary, so guessing doesn't work.
ReplyDeletealready mailed u
ReplyDeletethanks, working on your hint know.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Lost my internet connection last night.
ReplyDeleteWorking on 56 now
good morning :) Couldn't play yesterday and now I'm behind. :s Help on 54?
ReplyDeleteOh and thank you so much for the mail on 53. I tried and couldn't figure out how to change the file. :s
on 54, I got the pdf (is it just the one page?)from the map, used the PW, but I'm not sure how to use either one?
ReplyDeleteokay, googled words from map, but where am I picking letters from? the pdf is just a logo.
ReplyDeleteoh...google for map right?
ReplyDeleteso it's M**** P*****...:s
ReplyDeleteHi @mkganda, there are mistakes in the map. Couldn't solve it without bigtanks help. I send you the mail.
ReplyDelete@chipsi Thank you! :) Finally figured out what to do, but wasn't getting anywhere. Now I have to go for a bit, but can play in about an hour or so. Will get it then. Hope to see you here! :)
ReplyDeleteReally have problems to find the words from the boxes by combining coulor and question.
ReplyDeleteI'm back, but can't find it. I can't find a map that has all the same spots listed either. :(
ReplyDeleteoh well, I'm going to escape some until someone is around. :)
ReplyDeletehi all on 53 can only hear noise what to do slow it down or speed it up?????
ReplyDelete@zephyr, I don't know, the mp3 thing didn't work for me but can send you a mail if you want.
ReplyDelete@mkganda forget the map you found. concentrate on the v***** and n***** etc. you have from the map. than guess the words.
@chipsi okie plz send mail..thnx
ReplyDelete@zephyr mail is on the way
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness @chipsi! Feeling pretty thick atm. Oh well, on 55. Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteno problem :) Waiting for you on 56 to help me out.
ReplyDeletehmm...saw the hint on the forum for 55, but may need a push.
ReplyDeletethink easy, what do you have to do in the most first three levels when you start a riddle game?
ReplyDelete@chipsi I was thinking about that and it's usually, an*****, fi*** l*****s, s***** c***, etc... right?
ReplyDeleteyou are thinking to complecated.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you want to go? Just put it in the answer box.
It's hard to hint and without given the answer, if you want I can mail.
lol...coffee's brewing. Got a lot of sun yesterday and I think I may have sizzled away some of my riddle lobe in my brain. :P
ReplyDelete56...yay! Thank you so much @chipsi :)
hmm...I see from the forum that some of this versions htms are mixed up.
ReplyDeleteI'll just put it here, so it's all in one place.
"red and black are mixed
also you need two-fifth (or four-fifth) from the first"
I don't get how to find the words, I am googling like mad with and without color but have nothing so far which makes any sense.
ReplyDeleteOn 54.. found the pdf opened it too tried to figure out the words but too many c********s and no v****s a little help plz..does the v**** in the plan mean v**** of the a******* :( hope u get the star words
ReplyDelete@zephyr29 check your mail.
ReplyDelete@chipsi didnt receive any mail plz resend
ReplyDeletehi again. Had to leave in a hurry. Seems little progress on 56. I don't get how to find them either. I googled stuff together hoping to find a game or a story or something that links them together, but no such luck so far. :s
ReplyDeleteok checking in now home from work . glad to see you all caught me up. any progress on 56 , i have nothing
ReplyDelete@zephyr29 send again
ReplyDeleteI found that level name is a sentence that is used in star wars, but I doubt that this will help us.
ReplyDeletehey mk stuck on 54 cant get te letters right chipsi sent mail but i didnt receive can u help me
ReplyDeletehi @bigtank :) Nothing here. Trying to think of green drinks, red weapons, black signs of royalty, and white animals now. No luck.
ReplyDeleteHi @zephyr :) Sure.
ReplyDeleteok so do you think that is what we need mk. hope it is not previous levels as i kept no notes till level 44.
ReplyDelete@bigtank No idea. Seems though, that they would be connected as it would be way too vague otherwise, right? But then it seems there isn't enough information in most of the levels so who knows? I started looking at color symbolism too. Working on that now.
ReplyDeletegot to go for a while will be back later
ReplyDeleteyou think it is connected with previous levels? It's the best idea so far, okay starting with lvl 1....
ReplyDeletek, see you! :)
ReplyDeleteAny luck @chipsi? I'm starting to wonder if they are just wordplays.
ReplyDelete@zephyr did you get my mail?
ReplyDeleteNo, unfortunately not.
ReplyDeleteIf it is wordplay , the first on the notes could be k**, but I'm not very good in these.
@chipsi @bigtank and @zephyr29 sent mail re: 56. @zephyr I know you're not here yet, but you'll need it when you get here. Looking at wiki now. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you have the words from the four windows, you need to apply to SOS...
ReplyDeleteSPOILERWiki is your friend
It's a matter of sound, no words...SPOILER
I must not have mine correct then. I thought we were taking letters not the whole words. :s
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletefor the windows, the first you need 4/5 not 3/5 and don't forget the first letter you get from the notes.
ReplyDeleteStill can't enter it right though.
hi mk ty for the mail.i got d..... is that what you have
ReplyDeletegot it. sending mail again :)
ReplyDeletestill working on the words, missing green and black.
ReplyDeleteOnce you know what you're looking for, forget the colors b/c some are mixed up. Just focus on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. If you like I can email you @chipsi. :)
ReplyDeletewhoa...57 looks like a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteyes, please mail, I'm a little bit confused at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, email sent.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@bigtank Yes, but pay close attention to how dits are used. They are shortened unless they are the last part of the sequence. In the wiki use "ctrl f" and search for vocalise.
ReplyDeleteGot it!!!! Great thanks @mkganda
ReplyDelete@bigtank I forgot the space between the three letters, that's why it doesn't work
ok got to a.... p..... now what are we looking for a h.....
ReplyDeleteI've got to go for a bit. I'm currently still on my path on Google Earth on Quai Arloing/D51. Will continue when I get back. Glad you're here! ciao!
ReplyDeletegot to go too. got to an avenue of a famous scientist ( he discovered something). will be back tommorow gl
ReplyDeleteFinally reached on A***** P****** and hope that I didn't turn wrong.
ReplyDeleteokay, I'm back, but it'll take me a few to catch up.
ReplyDeleteFound the french man to whom we should send a mail, but don't know how. (I think I lost my riddle brain somewhere on the way )
ReplyDelete:s I got lost. I don't want to start again...but I will lol.
ReplyDelete@mkganda if you need a mail just say a word
ReplyDeletehey mk sent u mail plz reply
ReplyDelete@zephyr okay. :)
ReplyDelete@chipsi I think I'm on the right road now, but just got here. I'll signal if I need a push. Did you pass it?
@zephyr replied :)
ReplyDeleteOkay @chipsi, how do I know who to mail? :s
ReplyDeletewait, I think I've got him if his name is the road I'm on. Looking for the local PO. What do they call them there?
ReplyDeleteYou still here @chipsi? The closest PO I found was by another very famous man. hmm...
ReplyDeletestill here, but wasn't able to post.
ReplyDeletethe other famous man is it: J****** d* l* P*****?
I'm not sure how to mail him.
Okay, we have to email, so forget about that last post. The P.O. is off of Winston Churchill, but we need to email a French man at a hotel where we are. Tried to enter email addresses in answer box, but nothing yet.
ReplyDeletewhen I click on the letter the email-programm pops up but I cannot send. Do you think we have to send the email to the hotel?
ReplyDeleteyes, I do. When I clicked the letter it opens an email too. It says STOP! who to email?
ReplyDeleteWait...ya, this is weird. It opened outlook which I don't use so if I got a return email, I couldn't check it anyway, :s
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just a hint that it's an email address that we need? I don't think so because Tynka and Mishu mentioned sending an email to either a French hotel or French guy so...great.
Hint on nord: google the final place you got and send an email to a french men
ReplyDeletethere are two french men to who we can mail P****** (street name) and la P*****.
Trying to find out the email-address of the hotel
hmm...also this: "final answer should be in the same form"
ReplyDeleteI've used the @lepuydesverites.net @wanadoo.fr and another one. There is one bed and breakfast and 2 hotels. :s
ReplyDeleteso the answer should look like:
ReplyDeletenameofthefrenchman@maybenameoftown??
I guess...I don't know and then what ".fr"?
ReplyDeletetried l****p******@la******e.fr
ReplyDeletelooks like a trial and error thing between name of the man (if we have the right one) and addresses of hotels
ReplyDeletebut are we sending a real email or just writing the address in the answer box?
ReplyDeletealso nudge on other possible french guy?
ReplyDeleteDon't know, but I think it is more possible to put the address in the answer box.
ReplyDeleteFor second guy google name of the town and wiki gives you the town and a french nobleman
hmm...I get a one sentence wiki unless it's the mayor.
ReplyDeletesend you a mail with the link
ReplyDeletetried to send a mail to
ReplyDeleteL****P******@wanadoo.fr
and
J******d*l*P*****@wanadoo.fr
and got an mail delivery error.
thanks c. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, gotta feed the small people. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWish I could have been more help today. This Jaques character has a lot of possibles for his name. :s
Anyway, good luck! :D
Just quickly, I ran a path from where 990a starts and went exactly 4.3 km and ended up here. This has to be the one, right?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.lepuydesverites.net/
okay, good night, c! sending the good riddle vibes out to you. :P
ReplyDeleteGood night mkganda. I wont stay much longer, too, it is past midnight here.
ReplyDeleteback again and still stuck, I tried all possible combinations with name and email-address that I could think of. I even tried to send real mails to but also had no luck.
ReplyDeletewow, it worked! Had to empty my cache, but at least I can post now. So weird. Anyway, since I couldn't post before, I wanted to say good morning :)
ReplyDeleteI started a thread on the forum since there isn't one yet and the Nord crew is going to be real sick of me soon. :P
Hopefully we'll get a nudge.
Hi mkganda, we really need a nudge.
ReplyDeleteYes, we do. This shouldn't be this hard. I traced the path again and it could either be the b&b or the hotel on the corner. Either way, I wish there was a clue as to which guy and whether or not real mail is sent. I actually doubt we do, but nothing is working so who knows?
ReplyDeleteHi guys,
ReplyDeleteI have nothing to add to this riddle, but was wondering if you could help me.
I can't post anymore with my Google account.
When I sign in it seems to go ok but then here I'm called anonymous and still can't post.
Anybody familiar with this kind of problem and can help me?
Hint on Mindskell:
ReplyDeleteyou are looking for the first part of the e-mail adress ;) the part after @ is from Mindskell world
I send a real mail to J****** d* l* P***** and got a replay, working on that now
Hi small-tool, really would like to help you, but I've got no experience with this kind of problem
ReplyDeleteokay, stuck again. what to do with the letters? Finding vocals or is it a cipher?
ReplyDelete@small-tool Yes! Happened to me this morning too. Cleared my cache and it worked again. I also went straight to Blogger and signed in there before I opened EG24 again.
ReplyDelete@chipsi Just got back. I can't believe I did it again. Lost track of time and had to rush out the door. Will read updates in a sec. :)
@m********.**?
ReplyDeletedelivery failed :(
ReplyDeleteIt is:
ReplyDeleteJ******d*l*p*****@m********.i*
@chipsi you still here? sos
ReplyDeleteokay, thought I tried that. Maybe it's case sensitive. Thanks @chipsi! :)
ReplyDelete@mkganda did you get it yet or should I mail you?
ReplyDelete@chipsi sent you mail. Fwd of my "failed delivery". Will you check the address for me, please? :(
ReplyDeletereplied. You forgot a 'c'
ReplyDeleteomg...thanks @chipsi. Feeling a little silly now.
ReplyDelete@zephyr don't forget the C in J******! lol!
Any leads with the letters yet? Going to have a look here.
ReplyDeletenvm, feeling silly myself, it seems that nobody had a problem with the letters/words, but I have no clue.
ReplyDeleteeither we're missing vowels or we need a cipher, right?
ReplyDeleteThat TH in there makes me think we need vowels and it may be some sort of riddle or tongue twister?
I'm wrong a lot, though, so you can ignore me lol.
Where's @bigtank?
maybe not just vowels. maybe we're missing letters that will make these words and will spell out our answer on their own? hmm...
ReplyDeletethat's what I think, too. I tried to get words but the only ones I could guess are th=the and nd=and, too much B for me :)
ReplyDeletehmm...tried crypto the way it is and changing the letters...
ReplyDeleteI think I got something...sending mail. I think my first instinct was correct. :)
ReplyDeleteTongue twister-missing letters.
okay, will wait for your mail
ReplyDeleteit's not there yet? Anyway, there is one word that's off here...
ReplyDeletegot your mail, now.
ReplyDeleteOooh for "the b*m" it's On not In. Doesn't help much though. :s
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at the wiki and at Italian ones, but can't find that one. I think that one's just there for the Italian version of the game.
ReplyDeletetried to send a mail to b**b**@m********.** and failed LOL
ReplyDeletecheck mail, might be onto something?
ReplyDeleteWait! We're missing something HUGE! Remember this hint from Tynka on Nord?
ReplyDeletefor the last part:
"the final answer should be in the same form"
sounds good, and now let's try and send the bugs to mindskell
ReplyDeletetried ab*****@m********.** lol. Nope!
ReplyDeleteLOL @chipsi! Lets! :P
ReplyDeleteit's not T**j**
ReplyDeletesend each bug but no! also tried to send the whole sentence doesn't work either
ReplyDeletealso tried the missing letters
ReplyDeletehave to leave, will be back in an hour. Send me mail if you succeed!
ReplyDeleteme too, but be back in about half that. Thought before I leave: maybe "in the same form" means no vowels NOT email. Will try when I get back.
ReplyDelete@zephyr I know you can't post, but you can check so if you are keeping an eye here, try it?
okay back for a bit.
ReplyDelete@chipsi For when you return, my post at 5/24/11 8:10 AM was correct. The missing words-same form.
ReplyDeleteI think I know the answer for 58, but how to enter it.
ReplyDeleteso many options for that time. What year?
ReplyDeleteokay, what to do with these on 59? :s
ReplyDeleteback again, thanks @mkganda for 57, I knew we were badly overthinking.
ReplyDeleteon 58
now
For 58, look up and use step for year. :)
ReplyDeleteThe answer should be in Italian.
Need you on 59. Don't know how to get the files, but I did see that they are in Italian. :s
ReplyDelete58 is a film, am I right?
ReplyDeleteNo, it's something that was signed and announced on that date. That day has a wiki, scroll down to the right year and see something that happened btwn US and Italy. It should have a clickable link to it's own wiki that has the right answer.
ReplyDeleteA********* d* C********
grr...why can't I see where these stupid folders are?
ReplyDeletegot it, thanks again @mkganda! lets have a look on 59
ReplyDeletehmm, can't find folders and can't download mp3, need some brainfood!!
