  44. nite everyone, can't play this game to much language barrier for me

    ReplyDelete
  45. ok, so here is a little help before I finally call it a night:

for the brown box password, if you check the hiragana table, the order of the vowels is SPOILERaiueoSPOILER.

Convert the vowels (or characters) into numbers as per hint on the side of the desk and you get your passport to freedom.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Code for brown box is :
    SPOI225413LER

    ReplyDelete
  47. This game has a language barrier, but @Shuchun gives the answers you need to solve it

    Solve the PC Password:
    Go left
Click inside the trashcan to find that you need to multiply the green, blue, and red values
    Go right
Get the EXCEL BOOK from the chair
Click the corner of the poster hanging from the wall – learn the value of the green squares is 88
    Go right
Get the WORD BOOK from by the desk
You can click each book and hit the about item button to see the about item view of the books. Open the cover, and there are clues for the red and blue squares that I can't read.
@Shuchun translates them for us and says that red square is 4 and blue square is 3.
    Turn right
Click on the middle computer screen
Enter the code into the computer using your keyboard and hit the Enter button on the game screen
    (Multiply 88x4x3=SPOILER1056SPOILER)
    Back up and go right
If you have it correct, there is a STAR PAPER in the printer
Open the about item view of the paper and see the colored star order
    Find the Objects:
Go left to the bank of 3 computers
Click the right window to open it
    Click out the open window
    Take the KEY
    Go right
Drag the key from the inventory to the drawer
    Get the ERASER
Turn 2 times to the large computer desk
Click the files in the wall shelf to move them
    Get the WRENCH/SPANNER
Click to the left of the desk to zoom on the side
Use the spanner/wrench to remove the cover
    See a hint about hiragana

    Find the Stars:
Yellow star – click the computer tower on the large desk
Purple star – click the clock in the printer view
Pink star – click the cat bag on the bulletin board in the printer view
Green star – click the bottom right corner of the doormat in the door view
Blue star – scroll your mouse over the right screen on the 3 computers
Orange star – click the left chair at the line of computers. Zoom on the smudge on the wall, and drag the eraser

Solving the Brown Box Code/ What the heck is hiragana?
Visit here to see a hiragana chart. Hiragana are the Japanese characters that are similar to the alphabet in the English language. You can combine the characters to make words.
If you look at the hiragana chart, you can see that there are 5 columns – each starting with a vowel. The hint on the side of the desk tells you that the a column is first, I is second, u is third. Following the columns of the hiragana chart, we can then figure out that e is 4th and o is fifth.

Look on the chart for the star characters that you found. You want to know which column each is in.

The order of the stars from the printer paper is: green, pink, purple, orange, blue, and yellow. So start with the green star. It has a a symbol close to looking like a 5 with a cross on top. On the hiragana chart, you can see that this is in the I column (it is chi). The I column is 2 so the first number is 2.

The pink symbol is ki, which is also in the I column. So the second number is 2.

The purple symbol is no in the o column. O is the fifth column so the third number is 5.

Keep doing this for all the stars and find the code is SPOILER225413SPOILER

    Escaping
    Get the SECURITY CARD
Drag the keycard to the reader by the door
    You win!

  48. Very nice, Shuchun said that one solution is 3, and 4 and you were all rejoicing and happily hacked it in. :)

Fine. So even though this one dates back a bit now, let me (being now way more experienced with jisho.org & friends than back then) tell you guys why it's 3 and 4.

    WORD TEXTBOOK
You get asked how you call these little things you put in front of words?
    Possible answers were:
    ワードアート - 1. WordArt
    ドロップキャップ - 2. DropCap
    クリップアート - 3. ClipArt
    テストボックス - 4. TestBox
    リボン - 5. Ribbon

Of course these are cliparts, so '3' is the correct answer.

    EXCEL TEXTBOOK

Here, they ask you, when programming in excel, what function (note: the kanji 関数 is used for MATH functions ONLY) you need if you want to calculate an average value?
    SUM/MAX/MIN/AVERAGE or COUNT?

This was easy as pie, AVERAGE (4th answer).

So now you understand how to get there.
