    ReplyDelete
  8. @michjean - zoom in on the stamps, one is a bit hard to read. On the other links, the letters are easy to see; just pay attention!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I am only supposed to look at the upper two, right?

    ReplyDelete
  10. You're on lvl 21, aren't you? So which upper two?
Enter computer, come to ebay page (the only one with "nothing useful"). Then click around on the links, and look for code elements.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sorry, thought I saw something on the list of other items in the pics. Got it... thanks @passerby.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Now must take break to get home in pouring rain and make dinner. BBS

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm back. Hints for 23 now...it is like a triangle puzzle (do one thing, then second, then back to first) to figure out.

Must match that famous skit to diamond spots then take notice of uniforms then go back and pick out what you need (and skip merrily to Granma)

    ReplyDelete
  15. At 25 now and it is sleep time. Good Luck All!

  19. Good morning everyone!
@bigtank I am asking me the same on 20, it seems that everyone passed it within minutes.

@Eriru invert the picture on Gimp and than change only contrast (to about 96), now you should be able to read it clearly.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Good morning around here!
    20: look for doubles!
I must be getting stupid, I don't see anything on 24...

    ReplyDelete
  21. gd morn chipsi and bigtank its us again and all stuck on 20 something to do with the 'attention to detail' will give us a clue for which letter for which word but cant find anything yet tht makes sense :(

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  23. thx passerby been stuck on tht for ages on 21

    ReplyDelete
  24. thanks @passerby, it's so obvious after I knew it! Wondering why the letters didn't jump out and hit me!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi guys,
    Congrats on your progress.
But I'm way behind an totally lost on 19.
    These are the numbers/prices I have;
    75
    25
    50
    90
    110
    95
    115
Are they right? And how do I convert them to letters?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oops. nvm I got it.
Had to use only the first letters of the periodic table and not two.
Should I delete the previous post?

    ReplyDelete
  27. on 23, hi small-tool! Don't think you have to delete it, as Jon said it is an old riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi Chipsi and Bigtank,
Could need some help on level 21.
I clicked the links on e-bay but can't find letters or a way to find letters.

    ReplyDelete
  29. On level 21.
Can't find dots and dashes on the stamps, are they there too?

    ReplyDelete
  30. for 21, I found the letters in:
    Stamp = number
    shipping = number
    other listings = number
question link = a vocal, look at the page title
feedback = look for a capital letter
careful link = a vocal in a four letter word

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nvm.
I bruteforced the 6th letter and on level 22 now.

    ReplyDelete
  32. not vocal, vowel!!! Sorry

    ReplyDelete
  33. Really Chipsi, is that the way you did it?
I did it with morse code.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Passerby,
It seems Michjean is already on level 25

    Any hints on level 22?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah, but Michjean obviously solved 24 in a second, and I don't see anything. Plus I'm actually at work, can't spend toooo long on the riddle.
22 is easy. Draw letters with the silver coins. Rotate.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Btw I'm new here, and I'm not sure how much detail you guys want in the clues. I can delete posts if they are too precise!

    ReplyDelete
  37. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lol Passerby,
About the clues I guess it depends on how desperate people are asking.
And for new riddles we should not give away too much, because it's not nice to the maker, but this is an old riddle said Jon.

    ReplyDelete
  39. hey guys im stuck at level 5 tiffany lamp can anyone help?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yep small-tool I even didn't see any morse on this level, so I made it more complecated than it was?

Stuck on 23. found the skip and I know what who what and I don't know mean, but that's all. I looked at the uniforms of the players who stand on this places, took the numbers on it and don't know now what to do. I am not even sure I've choosen the right ones for "what".

    ReplyDelete
  41. Nour,
Zoom in on the bottom edge of the lamp shade and there you should see letters (in the blue parts I think it was).

    ReplyDelete
  42. @st: ther's no H. Letter btw G and A wrong.
@nour: zoom in, look at blue.

    ReplyDelete
  43. small-tool your H is a I

    ReplyDelete
  44. yes the macklowe gallery i entered the site checked the lamp tried its name and the gallery name and everything but not getting the right answer

    ReplyDelete
  45. @chipsi: you have it all. Use wiki to know what the names of the players in the skid were. Use numbers on the names in the joke, picking the right letter. What is T. Anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks Chipsi, got it.
    Passerby, I had to use G and A !?

    ReplyDelete
  47. @nour: you don't have to search outside the picture. Just zoom in on the lamp itself and search for hidden letters in the blue parts.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @st sorry, misunderstanding. I was just pointing to the fact that your H (between G and A in the picture) was an I.

    ReplyDelete
  49. uhhhhhhhhh thanxxx but how do u know these clues?? i mean what lead u to think in this way

    ReplyDelete
  50. @nour: "pretty colours" (name of the level) + radio broadcast "rhapsody IN BLUE" + journal "lamp has some meaning to it" => you look closely to the blue parts. Zoom in to see them better. Find letters.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think I'm missing a lot on level 23.
What 'joke'. What is 'skid' and 'skip'?
I know all the names of the players.
Do I have to find out according to their uniforms what number they had in that team and then use those numbers on their names?

    ReplyDelete
  52. @passerby feeling a little bit silly at the moment, the answer is three letters long, right?

@small-tool find the radio programm on wiki and find out who the players are named on it.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @st: look at broadcast program, google / wiki the name of that program (joke, routine). There, look at the names of the players (first, second base etc.). Use numbers on players t-shirt in the picture to pick the right letter in the names of the guys in the routine (who what etc). First base is Cantu 3, he's Who in the routine, so letter o.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @ chipsi: one letter per player, so 8 letters.
It's really not complicated once you get it, but I don't know how to explain it better... sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  55. got it, shame on me, didn't realize that there are more players in the programm

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hurra! So please, please find the way to 24. We obviously need the missing postcard, but I cannot figure out where to look for it. New York was the obvious guess (from broadcast), but nothing there. It's apparently obvious, as the others just flew through it, but I must have become blind or sth!

    ReplyDelete
  57. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  58. small-tool your N should be a R

    ReplyDelete
  59. @st: N is wrong. Use the "I dont give a daRn" version.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Thanks again guys,
    Great teamwork here on EG24.

    ReplyDelete
  61. hm, no idea for 24, how to find the right postcard?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Still looking, but I think level 24 is about the missing letters of the alphabet.

    ReplyDelete
  63. bad bad bad internet connection soooooo long to load pages waiting for coins to load(yawn) getting so irritated :(

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yep I was right.
    On level 25 now.
    But have to go soon.

    ReplyDelete
  65. st: nope, they're all there, even x and z. But it is definitely sth with the names...

    ReplyDelete
  66. HMmm st explain, pleeeease!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Passerby,
Only 18 cards and there are 26 letters in the alphabet. So find the missing letters and you find a new place.
(Vancouver is there so, there's no V in the answer, etc.)

    ReplyDelete
  68. On 25 I think there's information in the source.
But no time now, have to go, probably back tonight.
Will stay around a few minutes for level 24, but then I go.
    Good luck all.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Great Passerby, now I can go.
Like I said; good luck and see you guys later.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I did it three times and got three times different letters, not my day. can anyone check my letters please?
    EFKLORUY

    ReplyDelete
  71. @ chipsi: eklory right. A and G missing.
25 seems straight forward; we have to match them in pairs and get the letters where the lines go. Just have to figure out the right pairs...

    ReplyDelete
  72. on 24 nets okie now thank god for tht :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. hmmm got the letters on 24 but dontknow the word is it an actual place?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Zephyr: K** L**** a famous beach resort in Florida.

    ReplyDelete
  75. And gone. Leave clues and have fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I am for days on 12, stuck on my grid and my letters means nothing :( does someone can read my grid because I am not sure who with who for what :(

    ReplyDelete
  77. Silmarwen this is a old riddle, so post your letters and we will check them.

How do I know which of them on 25 are matching together? I'm pretty sure about a few of them, but the rest...?

    ReplyDelete
  78. nisoryaidolni really not sure because some answers was total supposition

    ReplyDelete
  79. Your O Y D are wrong should be P T I

    ReplyDelete
  80. Ok, brief interlude here. On 25: just guess (inter-island resorts together, mexican together, probably chinese together); I think I still had one wrong, but guessed the word from what I had (is a "physical" description of the matches, would also go for oil or stuff that burns).
26: easy, look at picture names and google.
27: easy, just look at journal. Non-English speakers will need dictionary.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Thanks a lot Chipsi :)

    ReplyDelete
  83. could someone please push me in the right direction on 15, have counted everything, what am i missing?

    ReplyDelete
  84. still don't get it, my some of my lines go through more than one letter. I have TUSEDHN but no anagram, how many letters does the answer has?

    ReplyDelete
  85. @chipsi: 11 letters. Done it again - you just have to be precise, and it's not even an anagram, just read the letters one after another in text's order. Island's resorts together, mexicans, chinese, "free", and a couple I don't see the logic. CO********E

    ReplyDelete
  86. Robin count the things you see in the picture, every group gives you a letter.

    ReplyDelete
  87. ty @ chipsi, was over thinking it again

    ReplyDelete
  88. thanks a lot @passerby! on 26

    ReplyDelete
  89. Pb with what I write in level 13 h---er, t-p, u- doesn't work (neither right or left) do I need something else?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Ahh finally.... I am so sorry that I didn't post anything for level 24. Since this is an older riddle, I should have.

Posting is iffy right now. My company uses Gmail with GoogleApps and I cannot be on my mail and Blogger at the same time (UGHHH!!)

@SP - first pic is called lowerright so type in upperright.jpg and then the other corners for the left side.

    ReplyDelete
  91. on 26, but am not finding what I can google... have written all pic names down and put them in order by color and/or alpha. do I need elimination instead?

    ReplyDelete
  92. @michjean - 26 you need the author of a quote. Google the words...
Sorry, I'll just be dropping in and out, have to work.

    ReplyDelete
  93. @Mich thanks I made some cleaning about cookies and stuff, don't know what happened that work now

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hi guys,
I'm back and having a real hard time to connect the cards on level 25.
I have Mexican, Chinese and Interstate, but can't seem to match the others?

    ReplyDelete
  95. i am stuck on 23 what is the skip?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Guy is need help on 12!!!! WTH!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. thanks @passerby - started with first 3 quotes found and was getting discouraged - must break to send emails

    @SP - YW :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. Nvm. could finally match all the pictures.
    On level 26 now.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Bigtank,
    Forget about the skip.
Find out at what position those guys played and look at the pictures to see what number they have.
    And then use this site to pick letters;

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who's_on_First%3F

    ReplyDelete
  100. hi bigtank check out the site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who%27s_on_First%3F ull find all the players with their names
smalltool im stuck there too somebody help me with 25 too

    ReplyDelete
  101. @bigtank: it's a skit, not a skip. The skit is the famous comedy routine that you see in the broadcast transcript. Look higher up in comments to get detailed explanations on how to use the text of that routine (use wiki for the complete list of characters) in combination with the picture.
@nour: 12 is logic. There's nothing more to explain. If you're stuck, post the letters you already have (highlight the numbers in the grid: they'll tell you which letter to take from which word) and we'll correct them.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Nour,
With the information from the text (and a little bit extra information from the note) you have to find out who's giving what to who, when and for what occasion.
When you have it all fill it in the grid below.
And when you highlight the grid, you see numbers. Those numbers are what letter to pick from the name (or toy etc) in that box in the grid.

    ReplyDelete
  103. zephyr29,

Here's my drawning, hope you can see it.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Some of them are ok Nour, but not all
And look again, you need 13 letters.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Thanks zephyr29,

    http://anagram-solver.net/

    ReplyDelete
  133. michjean thnx had all the words but only half of each LOL

    ReplyDelete
  134. And back. For 28, 1st letter of each line in journal text gives you the method you need to decrypt the text!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Welcome back Passerby.
And yep saw that, but the tool from Purple Hell doesn't give me a solution!?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Thanks again s-t! I only had wordsmith from PH. Didn't know about this one. It's bookmarked now.

  139. Nvm,
I got it, there are spaces between some of them.

    ReplyDelete
  140. No, look at the spaces! 2-3-3 7 3-3 6 2-2 7
And the first words are "if you are looking"

    ReplyDelete
  141. St: follow directions given by pictures to move in the grid and find 3 words (and if the directions seem a bit unclear, just follow your intuition and find words in the grid...)

    ReplyDelete
  142. Thanks again Passerby,
But is every picture a direction or are some pictures about how many steps to take according to the direction of the previous one.
Like the second picture, really don't know what direction it is.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Level 28

Can't get PH to give me the cryptogram. I can't install the right plugins. Tried another one, and nothing. Am I looking at this correctly?

    ReplyDelete
  144. Every picture indicates one step, to the next square. Start at top, from black square, first right, then down, then right...

    ReplyDelete
  145. Michjean,
    This one works;

    http://rumkin.com/tools/cipher/cryptogram-solver.php

    ReplyDelete
  146. Then I am not going about this correctly. thanks s-t

    ReplyDelete
  147. Thanks Passerby,
    On level 30 now.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Think I'm gonna have a lot of problems with level 30.
It's a rebus, right? or actually four of them.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Got it! Thought only those applied. (Nevermind - I am way overthinking these)LOL

    on 29

    ReplyDelete
  150. Omg. It's even worse there are 7 of them.
Hurry up Michjean, my English is not good enough for level 30, need your help.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Sorry, had to leave for a while. Yep, rebuses. All synonyms of exciting (which is the word with the ring); still don't have them all (also non-native speaker...)

    ReplyDelete
  152. Well, I found one of them, the one with the eggs and the eye, but it's even worse then I thought it's not only a rebus, but even a rebus with things like 'sounds like'.

    ReplyDelete
  153. On 30 now s-t... and wondering how to start?

    ReplyDelete
  154. @mich: when you click on certain images, they lead you to a sound rebus. All are synonyms...

    ReplyDelete
  155. punch t spike drops (I hate rebus!!) But I'll give it my best shot.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Thanks Passerby,
    You're unbelievable.
    What's your first language?
    Your English is really great.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Welcome. Used a synonym dictionary and guessed. German spoken here!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Oops, wait a minute.
    I can't get an anagram.
Do I use the first letters of every word?

    ReplyDelete
  163. s-t look at the small #s next to the prices of each item

    ReplyDelete
  164. What to do with the letters on 31? Tried Granma (haha - always my first choice)

    ReplyDelete
  165. Dunno. Was thinking bacon because of breakfast in journal, but I cannot make it work...

    ReplyDelete
  166. Lol Passerby,
I also noticed the word 'breakfast?' but why bacon?

And thanks Michjean, for the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Well, the bacon cipher... breakfast is a common "code word" for that because, well, the American makers of those games eat bacon at breakfast I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  168. And of course because the bacon cipher works with a combination of bold or italic letters and plain ones. Still, as I said, although I still think it's the right track, I cannot make it work.............

    ReplyDelete
  169. The title is Unconventional Read... perhaps must think that way?

    ReplyDelete
  170. It was bacon indeed. Take the first letters of each line, from A to c(reature) then go on with the last letters of each line, from (sout)h to (hardene)d, all in one string; code them for bacon ((so you get a string of 55 a's and b's), non-bold is a, bold is b, decipher with purple hell version 1, you get a word (for someone who believes things too easily).

    ReplyDelete
  171. Never heard of that Bacon cipher.
So, Learned something new. That's a good thing, but the bad thing is I found nothing with it.

Tried to pick the letters from the left side that have (converted) an A on the left with letters from the right that have (converted) an A on the right.
Did the same with B and all other kind of methods like that, but no anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Omg. I didn't refresh, but you got it Passerby.
    Congrats, kudos.
Gonna try it, although I'm not sure what you mean with bold and non-bold.

  173. So, I'll try to explain this as clearly as I can. You only need the first and last letters of the text, forget about the rest. You get two columns of letters - the first column (aopats...) then the second one (hsnyag...). So you get a string of 55 (I think) letters.
Then you have to code them. Plain letters are A, bold ones are B (so the beginning, starting with the first column, is aopats = aabbab..."; the string will end with eysed = babba). So you get a string of 55 a's and b's, that you put into purple hell to get a word.

  174. first and last letters OF EACH LINE of the text obviously...

  175. Wait a minute.
    Before I begin to try it;
One letter is 5 letters (a's b's) right.
So if I decode 55 letters with Bacon I get 275 letters.
Or am I doing something wrong?

  176. what's key for 31. tried just about every word on there (& some journal) but source says basically that not everything is a clue...

  177. @s-t you'll get 11 letters

    ReplyDelete
  178. Oh, now I see (I think).
You mean first make A's and B's and then decode back from Bacon.
And with bold you mean the purple letters.

  179. oops! hit enter too soon

s-t each baconian "word" is 5 characters long (each "word" making up one letter) so you will have 11 letters total from the 55 you start with

  180. yes @s-t the bold are "B" and not bold are "A"

and I too learned this new cipher today (is it not wonderful to keep learning new things?)

  181. I've got the 11 letters now, but what kind of decoder do I use to make that a word?
