YAY!! A tesshi-e!!
ReplyDeleteTesshi-e! Great way to spend a Saturday night!
ReplyDeletemmmm i need help. I have a heart memo from near sink, a stiff wire from in the hand drier (can't use it to pick up the key in the drain near the urinals) put the heart memo in the sink and it put colours on it, but i don't know how to solve the clue....
ReplyDeletehey everyone! going in!
ReplyDeleteoh wait figured it out
ReplyDeleteyou push the buttons according to where the hearts are L-R going down the heart colours on the memo...
Starting up -- one of our more challenging games. (Opening scene looks VERY familiar!)
ReplyDeleteYAY! Out with happy coin!!
ReplyDeleteI'll hang around in case anyone needs help!
Good job clairebear! I'm still bumbling along...but enjoying the puzzles.
ReplyDeleteClairebear --thanks for the note! I had several codes from the heart picture (regular and mirrored) and was getting nowhere.
ReplyDeleteNow have a key, (after using pliers on wire) and LOTS of hints.
Hi! I'm Anne, and I'm new here - just wanted to say hi. Tesshi-e has got me totally addicted to escape games. I've never been around for a "live" game so far and it sounds fun. :) I'm sure I'll need help!
ReplyDeleteIn particular, that train picture needs to come down. I have 8 roman numerals, only SOME of which have a pink star that looks like a corner clue.
ReplyDeletePresumably, that will give something to add to FUJI to get in Stall #II.
Annnnnnnnnnnd OUT.... Awesome game :)
ReplyDeleteHow can South and East be the same direction?
ReplyDeleteOh! a lockbox to left of STALL #III!
ReplyDeleteYou need to turn them using the dials in Stalls 1/2
ReplyDeletehi ahedonia - don't worry, we all need help!
ReplyDeleteThat's the only hint I'm giving.... so u can enjoy the game more :)
ReplyDeleteCheers
Thanks, PyrateKirk. :)
ReplyDelete@ahedonia, welcome to a live game! I've haven't loaded this one yet, but I'm sure I'm in for a challenge. Hope to see you around in the future!
ReplyDeletegrr thought i had stall 2 for a moment
ReplyDeleteOpened lock box with clue from sinks.
ReplyDeleteUsed SD to get to light switch and a new number clue.
Have a stool I haven't used yet, a key I'm not sure about (may have gotten me into that closet?). Plus bent wire, opened box, SD, pliers, colored paper.
same exact here PuzzledinCA
ReplyDeletetrain + fuji...i think I have the train number, what's fuji?
ReplyDeleteI've discovered you can put the stool in front of Stall II and happily look over the door at stuff you totally can't reach. Not sure why.
ReplyDeleteOK, one more hint...
ReplyDeleteUse the stool, and use the hook twice :)
Yeah, PyrateKirk - where's the obligatory picture clue of Mt. Fuji? Lol.
ReplyDeletei used the stool @stall 2
ReplyDeleteI've used everything in my inventory except the stool/table and haven't yet found a place to use it.
ReplyDeleteguruone tasha, thanks for the stool hint - still stuck for the moment, but that's ok for now!
ReplyDeletePOP! Sit it in front of each of the stall doors.
ReplyDeleteNow, need a long stick!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletePOP!
ReplyDeletetried using the hook to open stall 2 drawer from the inside, but I'm not getting anywhere. Am I on the right track?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get the hook to open the latch on Stall 3 either. Stall 2 is the train/fuji code.
ReplyDeleteI take back my picture-of-Mt.-Fuji question. ;)
ReplyDeleteI thought hook would open I or III...hmm
ReplyDeletewow, great game! finally got out by myself with happy coin. i love tesshi-e games.
ReplyDeleteBetter, Fuji code plus train code (lights out) and get a cleaning cloth.
ReplyDeleteStill missing the 3rd corner in the sequence!
No, forgot -- it's on the picture!
ReplyDeleteDid you open the toilet lid in stall II?
Why do I keep getting keys when what I want is key cards?
ReplyDeleteyes opened toilet in II...not following that clue yet
ReplyDeletevery funny :) I'm always squeamish about opening toilet seat lids!
ReplyDeletePuzzledinCA: "Fuji code plus train code (lights out)"
ReplyDeleteDUH! I got that code forever ago and then totally forgot the train pic was where it came from. I was sitting there counting trains in the picture like a dork.
no prob for the stool hint tho it was behind in the comments. This is where I am still stuck :P
ReplyDeleteI have 6 pink stars (four from urinals, one from mt fuji pic, one from TP) what am I missing?
ReplyDeletestill don't know what to do with the damp washcloth, or how to get the picture down...
ReplyDeletezoz...look at doors...
ReplyDelete@Cheryl -- the stalls are labelled #I - III and the urinals are labelled #IV - VII.
ReplyDeleteEach of them has a pink star somewhere indicating a corner. For instance, the left most urinal is # IV and has a star in lower left.
When you have all 7 stars, you can take move the picture.
pop
ReplyDeleteThe toilet lid -- is either an expletive/joke or a mathematical function. In this case I think I'd prefer the former. Factorials get large very quickly!
ReplyDeleteAnyone figured out what to do with the knob yet? (from the arm of the toilet in II using key from train picture).
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love POP!
ReplyDeleteSPOILER
1st is on door to stall one
2nd is on TP in stall two
3rd is on mt fuji pic
4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th are from urinals
@zoz -- Look at door #I
ReplyDeleteOh!. Not sure what I did, but my S arrow is now pointing a different direction. Per guruone, it must be something I did in stall #II.
ReplyDeleteOh! knob got me into stall I and gave me a mop and a new symbol in the toilet lid!
ReplyDeleteNow I think I'm gathering a code clue (maybe related to the keyboard).
I'm falling behind, didn't even get into stall I yet
ReplyDeleteRelated to the keyboard, the symbols from the toilet lids equal 4315. I don't know if that's something of note - I just know I'm trying to find the happy coin. I think I'm out otherwise.
ReplyDeleteOut but no Happy Coin.
ReplyDeleteset the knob in stall II (toilet handle) in position corresponding to South
ReplyDeleteah got stall one - i missed the latch from stall II
ReplyDeleteWell, they equal 4315 if you go by the stalls' numbers I-III. I got to the door with the card, put that in and it didn't work. I then took the numbers is order from left to right - 5314 - that didn't work either. Numbers and I really don't mix.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I wasn't a traveller trying to use this bathroom!
ReplyDeleteNow, my exit code isn't working. I even looked up Japanese Keyboard, and they're the same for our characters. So there must be another clue for the order.
ReplyDeleteAha! I looked at the card itself! The clue is there!
ReplyDeletegood game. but I always seem to make the mistake of opening the door before I get the Happy Coin. Must. Have. Happy Coin!
ReplyDeleteThanks ahedonia! -- Although, I was pressing the light, not the button!! LOL
ReplyDeleteAnyone see a happy coin?
Turned out the light and entered new code -- light turned gold, but I don't see the coin anywhere.
no, no happy coin
ReplyDeleteWorse, I'm now locked in and can't reenter the code!
ReplyDelete@PuzzledinCA: I followed your clue and got the gold light! Then I started opening other doors, as it were, and found the coin and the way out. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you find it - that way you get a much better view for lunch. :D
ReplyDelete@Puzzled, I started over to find happy coin. I hope I can help you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, ahedonia again!!!
ReplyDeleteThe old second exit routine!
What a beatiful place for a meal.
I'm afraid I'm too tired to do a walk through.
ReplyDeleteIs everyone that was playing live out now?
@zoz, thanks for the offer, but ahedonia gave me the hint I needed. (and should be enough for an old pro like you!)
ReplyDeleteNo, but I can wait, I'll just save the game.
ReplyDeleteSee you on the deck for a leisurely lunch by the sea!
ReplyDeleteAnyone still here?
ReplyDeleteI need help wrapping my head around the heart puzzle.
Can someone tell me where they found the card or how to get into stall 3?
ReplyDeleteThanks from a long time player/first time poster!
oh, yeah, the Happy Coin ending is so much better! It was fun playing with you all!
ReplyDeleteUpnatm, number the buttons 1 - 5 and press them in the following order. Then when you ready the hint it'll be clear.
ReplyDelete1,5,4,4,3,5,3
Upnatm, look at the heart poster top line and note the order position for the green heart. Then go to the next line and note the order position for the yellow heart. Do the same for all 7 rows according to the colors on the clue sheet going from top to bottom.
ReplyDelete@bibbster, first off, Welcome! The card will show up after you set the correct directions by the compass. As I recall, getting into stall 3 requires that you have the knob you get from opening the toilet seat handle in stall one, which opens using the key (i think!) from the railroad picture
ReplyDeleteStuck now what does the compass directions do if you get them right? not liking the logic in this game hehe
ReplyDeleteHey please,
ReplyDeleteI got stuck with the set Stall I /II
I dont know what set positions must be...South?East?
LOL...Cant believe...my dear friend...
ReplyDeleteWe are the same doubts..
Hi Lulu :)
ReplyDeleteYes it's those directions stopping me I know it I haven't used the mop with the hook either ? darn I'm going in a small circle now
Thanks Abigail and Bibbster, finally saw the light!
ReplyDeleteClee, lulu, the red half of the compass points north, you need to adjust the other two directions relative to that
ReplyDeleteClee,
ReplyDeletethe mop with the hook: you need to use the pliers on it, then open the door from inside...
working on a WT, didn't mean to abandon you @Clee and @lulu. Seems @Pyrate Kirk came to your rescue!
ReplyDeleteZoz, I had to come back and try for coin - found it!
ReplyDeleteI was doing soooo well...then I am stuck..no idea for the 3 digit code for the stall III handle.
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember? I'll take a hint or a spoiler...lol
got the card finally it shows up on the compass ;) Thanks Pyrate it wasn't making sense to me
ReplyDeleteClee I had trouble w/ that too first time through nokra clue is on same wall as urinals
ReplyDeletenokra, look on the hand dryer to the left of the urinals
ReplyDeletethank you! @PyrateKirk, @zoz.....finally!..
ReplyDeleteThank you for all hints
Good night
OMG I forgot all about that darn hand dryer!!!! TY!!!! I am way past my bedtime! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat was so cute! I found the code for Happy Coin...but when I put it in I thought I screwed up...put the other code and it would not take it...LOL then went wandering around and found the secret passage stairs!!!!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be really cool in real life???
I LOVE Tesshi-e !!!!
@nokra: I play Tesshi-e's games because they make me DESPERATELY wish I could be in some of those settings! They're gorgeous! I TOTALLY want to live in the Room With Big Windows.
ReplyDeleteNeed help D: I can't find screwdriver anywhere...
ReplyDeletenevermind about that. I thought I have to reverse the direction for the sink/box hint...
ReplyDeleteWT for Tesshi-e, aka "There's Never Anything Mild About These Escapes"
ReplyDeleteYou're a traveler who desperately needs a bathroom (all those beers on the train) and you have the bad luck to stumble into this one. Bad luck because you can't get in the stalls and you can't leave the bathroom. (Males, as usual, get off the hook by having urinals on the wall!)
Have a look around.
- The sinks are shaped like a Triangle, a Square, and a Star.
- Just to the right of the Square sink there's a note. This is a clue for the Heart Lights low on the wall left of the sinks.
- Moving to the right, the hand dryer on the wall has "727" on the front and a wire resting on the top. Take the wire.
- Continuing around the room, you'll see that above each urinal there's a roman numeral and, at least in 3 of the 4, a pink star. #V clearly needs to be cleaned.
- Make a note of the position of the Pink Stars and their relation to the roman numeral.
- Also, you can see a key beneath the floor grate in front of the first two urinals, but you can't get it. Yet.
- Go right and have a good look at the Heart Picture on the wall. Turn back to the sinks and put the Heart Clue under running water. Once you have digested this, go and enter the Heart Code on the wall left of the sinks [SPOILERS follow].
- Take the pliers/wirecutters from atop the Compass that pops out from the wall. Note that the arrows for E and S are in the wrong position relative to the compass (which points N).
- Use the pliers to bend the wire into a hook and use that to fetch the round symbol key from the grate in front of the urinals.
- Use this key to open the closet on the left side of stalls I - III.
- Take the Locked Box and the Stool.
- The keyboard of the Locked Box has symbols. Remember the shapes of the sinks? Enter these in order from left to right.
- Take the Oh So Lovely Screwdriver.
- Now go to the wall above the Heart Lights and use the SD to reveal a light switch. Turn off the lights and look in the mirror to see a four digit code (you can also go around the room to view it straight on, rather than mirror image, and this way you'll see the number is on the Train Picture).
- Take the Stool and place it in front of stall #3. Peering over the door, you'll see a picture of Mt Fuji with the number "3776" on it and a Pink Star in the upper right corner.
- If you click the down bar at this point you can see the inner door handle, but you can't open it with your hook. Yet.
- Take the Stool back and go to stall #2. The clue on the door says "Fuji + Train", so add the numbers and enter the sum for the code.
- Go into the stall and life the toilet lid to see a code (#!).
- Click on the shelf above the toilet to take a Towel.
- Finally, click on the TP roll on the wall to see a rectangle with a Pink Star in the upper right corner.
- Exit stall #2 and look at the door to stall #1. There is a Pink Star in the upper left corner. You now have all the hints you need to move the Train Picture.
- Take the Spade symbol key.
- Go back to stall #2 and use this key on the toilet handle. Take the Knob and set the dial on the right to correspond to South (see SPOILERS). You can go look at the Compass to verify that you have set South correctly.
- Take the Grey Knob and use it to open the door to stall #1.
ReplyDelete- Take the Mop from the corner and look at it in "About Item" to see there is a hole in the end of the handle. Take the Hooked Wire and insert it through the hole, then use the pliers to tighten it.
- Lift the toilet seat and note the "$" symbol.
- Go back to stall #3 and place the Stool so that you can look over the door and then down to the inner door handle. Use the Broom Handle / Wire Hook to unlatch the door.
- Go back out, remove the stool, and enter the stall.
- Look at the toilet arm handle and see you need a 3 digit code. Remember the clue on the Hand Dryer?
- Enter the code and take the Club symbol key.
- While you're here, lift the toilet seat cover and note the "%".
- Go to stall #1 and use the Club symbol key to open the arm handle and set the right dial to the correct position for E on the compass.
- Now go and have a look at the compass - you have a Key Card!
- Note that the roman numerals on the card are in this order: II, III, I.
- Go to the door and the keypad on the left wall. Use the Key Card and then enter the Door Code.
- Press the bar below the code and the light will turn green and you can leave with the Normal End.
OR you can go back and turn out the lights and see a new code on the wall in the mirror.
- Use the numbers this code corresponds to on your keyboard and enter it in the door keypad. The light will turn yellow when you press the bar.
- Now go back to the closet to the left of the stalls.
- Take your Happy Coin and enjoy your lunch overlooking the sea!
SPOILERS
For the Heart Code: the order of the colors on the clue (G, Y, B, W, B, G, R) tells you to look at the position (1 through 5) of that color heart in each row from top to bottom. In other words, the first row has a Green Heart in position 1, the second row has a Yellow Heart in position 5, etc. Now go and press the corresponding lights between the hearts on the wall left of the sinks (1 through 5 from left to right).
SPOILER1544352SPOILER
Locked Box Triangle, Square, Star
Train Number: 1563
Fuji Number: 3776
Code Number for stall #2: 5339
Pink Star positions for Train picture:
1st is on door to stall one
2nd is on TP in stall two
3rd is on mt fuji pic
4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th are from urinals
So, click in this order: UL, UR, UR, LL, UR, UR, LR.
The Compass Positions: The compass on the wall shows North pointing to the lower left, so South must be upper right, and East must be upper left.
3 digit code for arm handle in stall #3: 727
Door Code: The symbols on the toilet lids correspond to numbers on a keyboard, and the order of the symbols is specified on the Key Card according to which stall they were found in.
So, Stall II is "#!" = 31
Stall III is "%" =5
Stall I is "$" =4
So the keypad code for the door is 3154.
Happy Coin Code (%$) = 9540
ZOZ! Wonderful! Thanks for doing these, I love your WT's.
ReplyDeleteHow use towel?
ReplyDelete@pierpor: Use it to wipe off the one silver panel over the urinals that, when you click on it, says "it's dirty."
ReplyDeleteGreat WT Zoz. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteOut in less time than it usually takes me with Happy Coin! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe code with # $ and so on doesn't make sense on my keyboard ! /-:
ReplyDelete@Pascale, keyboards for different languages can be confusing -- I once had to use one in Portugal and it was very trying. It should be noted that the last clue is for an English/American keyboard, not Japanese (which came up in another recent game).
ReplyDelete@Zoz -- Thanks for the WT -- I loved your title and introduction!
Had to go back in to get normal end -- same meal, different ambiance!
ReplyDeleteYay! Tesshi-e!!! Thanks for the excellent WT @zoz! Got stuck on compass dials and where to look for my happy coin once the code was entered. Thanks for posting @Shuchun!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tesshi-e
thanks for help finding that hidden happy coin, zoz. Funny walkthrough :D
ReplyDeletejust a shame that european keyboards are different and dont correspond with clue at all!
ReplyDeleteOne of your better works yet ruined by the dead animals at the end... sigh.
ReplyDeletecaught this one from the random section
ReplyDeletethx for all your creations, Tesshi-e ☺
& thx zoz for the WT
yep, Houston
unfortunately, still loads of ppl are unconscious or just don't want to know about the huge suffering of our scentient fellow creatures only for the humans consumption...! :-(
