[REPLAY] Rat of Hamelin 6 is another very cute and funny Japanese point & click adventure type escape game developed by Minoto. In this game, you start quite unusually with a full inventory. New items magically appear when moving forward in the game. There are no puzzles to solve. Enjoy the lovely graphics. Good luck and have fun! ☺

  4. @escapeartist, I disagree about this not being up to Minoto's usual standards - I found it just as bizarre as always :D
I'm not sure I like the way they're opening the game with a full inventory, though. It's kind of fun to figure out what to click on and when.
Anyway, there will always be a Minoto!

  6. Looks like the mice went to the Sponge Bob Night Club!

  9. I almost panicked at the end out of inventory and thought it wouldn't end , I didn't want to go back to the start I can only imagine what that looked like heheh . Is it the year of the rat or something ???

  10. So why am I stuck. I have the flame still, the rocks, the magic stick, vitamims, what to do?

  11. Another lesson from Minoto:

When eating an island of cheese, always remember to use your knife and 'hawke'.

  12. You start off with lots of things in inventory -- and more appear magically as the game progresses.
Within each scene, many things can be done in a different order.

    Scene 1:
    - Put "black bullet"/cannonball in cannon
    - Use Lighted match to shoot cannon
    - Use Rope ladder on small boat
    - Give Oar to mouse in boat
    - Use Knife to cut rope mouse in hanging onto
    Scene 2:
    - Give Teething ring to mouse in water
    - Give Swan boat to new mouse in water
    - Put Child octopus on clams because it's hungry
    - Put (now-grown) octopus between other two
    - Give fish to seagull
    - Put stones in water between big rock and smaller rocks
    Scene 3:
    - Give Vitamin water to mice on shore
    - Give "Ladder of tree" to mice on boat
    - Give God's cane to mouse on rock
    Scene 4:
    - That thumbtack is a table - set it with Cloth and Plate
    - Give one mouse the Knife and the other the "Hawke"/fork
    - Watch the mice eat the mountain of cheese

    "family end/only one method"

  14. LOL@Puzzled, mine too! I literally LOL'd at that! Still a bizarre as always, Minoto!

  15. Oh yes! I think this does live up to Minoto standards indeed! I like both when there's a full inventory and when we have to find things and use them. I think Minoto is just trying to make things different so we will stay interested. I'm always interested in the "psychology" behind the games - lol!

  16. feels less like an escape game when you don't have to find anything, but still funny to play. I agree the parting of the sea was my favorite. :D

  17. Never so much LOL + LMAO + ROFL at the same time in Minoto games like in that one!!!

    :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Something completely different comparing to other games & real fun starting with a full inventory & get even more stuff later in the game.

Wanna have that God's cane, too!

& like @Zoe, also wondering about the psychology of a hungry rat invasion...
    ;-)

  18. Brilliant, as always!
That Minoto definitely keeps us "on our toes" - changing tactics the way he does =)
and the little characters are so sweet, haha.

    @ premiere:
It would probably be better behaved than a hungry human invasion ;)

  20. I really hate to say this about a Minoto game, because usually, I love them, but this one was just stupid and annoying. It seemed like no real work went into the game.

There's always an element of the zany and cute, but this was neither. It was just poorly done, repetitive and dumb.

Sadly, this is the first time that I have ever given any Minoto one star.

  21. Can't agree there, JR. The Hamelin series is one of the most challenging Minotos I've seen. The rest were pretty straightforward, this one required some thinking and effort. I do prefer to pick up the inventory rather than having it all there, but we can't expect Minoto to do the same thing over and over and over. That *would* be "repetitive and dumb.*
