ReplyDeleteStuck at four, how to survive the storm? Tried heave to, lay to, nope.
ReplyDeletei cant even get the first one derrrr
ReplyDeleteNo idea Casual :(
ReplyDeleteyea in dutch so we make it a crow, thx go to 3
ReplyDeleteZazie, try to read the flags as letters
ReplyDelete@Zazie: there are ways of communication, for example smoke signals or sign language...
ReplyDelete@Rudi: a hint for chapter 4? I found the 4 clues and and I understand the parrot (quite funny, lol), but don't know how to combine these hints...
ReplyDeletesorry, I meant CHAPTER 3 of course
ReplyDeleteCasual, try to make a sentence of your findings.
ReplyDeleteI give up, i really don´t get it.
ReplyDeleteCasual, and dismiss the parrot, you don't need him.
ReplyDeleteZazie, there is a way of communication between ships in form of flags...
ReplyDeletesurvive the storm? Nose in the wind and ride it out?
ReplyDeleteI don´t know...............at 4
ok, if the parrot is not necessary, does everybody understands the same as I do?
ReplyDelete"who's your pretty boy then, huh?"
seems like Captain Blood needed some acknowledgment, lol.
Tried everything, including abandon ship :-), but nope.
ReplyDeleteCasual, the solution starts with the wooden part...
ReplyDeletethanks @Rudi! thought so and next one is probably in the book, but stuck after that.
ReplyDeleteis the answer a whole sentence or just one word?
Prey, reefing the sails, ...............????
ReplyDeleteCasual, it's a sentence made from your four clues
ReplyDeletethanks @Rudi! up to chapter four now
ReplyDelete@ reeds as at
ReplyDeleteis communications between ships using flags has a specific designation ?
ReplyDeleteI am stuck on ch 3 now....i only found three hints, parrot says nothing.
ReplyDeletedeploy anchor, deploy drag anchor, shorten sails, reef sails, heave to, lay to, pray, all nothing. even tried to change the url to our next destination. I guess the answer is hidden in the description somewhere.
ReplyDeleteE.Addict, look here
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_maritime_signal_flags
@Zazie: one hint on desk, one in book, one on lamp and one on globe
ReplyDeleteat 4. tricky one
ReplyDeleteThx Casual got it, i did not see the desk hint.
ReplyDeleteFor 4 try observing the lightning strokes... They're long and short.
ReplyDelete@Lovely: lovely, only a matter of direction :-)
ReplyDeleteanother failure at riddles ! good luck guys!
ReplyDeleteFive is a breeze...
ReplyDeleteis 4 about cardinal direction or just left/right?
ReplyDelete@Casual: read lovelys post at 5:19, and get a pen...
ReplyDeleteHow many letters you got in 4 ?
ReplyDeleteI thought 4 is a morse code , no ?
ReplyDelete@Zazie, 9 letters all in all, 2 words.
ReplyDeleteOhh finally got nr 4, thx Rudi, i had problems where to start lol.
ReplyDeleteso, is 4 a morse code?
ReplyDeleteStuck at 5
ReplyDeleteYes Casual.
ReplyDeleteIt says where you have to go...
ReplyDeleteперископ = russian for the contreption
ReplyDeletebut nope
ReplyDeleteit says what is it attached to, but if you give the corect answer, you are not any further.
ReplyDeleteAny help with 5 ?
ReplyDeletecontraption can olso be russian for подводная лодка
ReplyDeletewell i went to cuba ! lol ( was writing the whole word not just the initials ) ! the text is hard to read actually .. is this : what do u name ur ship ?
ReplyDeletecan I ask for the first letter of chapter 4, please? so I know where I have to start?
ReplyDeleteFirst letter is S and it is a verb.
ReplyDelete@casual first = S
ReplyDelete@E-Addict: yes, that's the question
ReplyDeleteE-Addict, the name is what do you see in the picture ?
ReplyDeletehas anyone proposals for question 4 ????
ReplyDeleteI mean question 5
ReplyDeleteApart from the obvious, P.......e and S.......e, no, no idea.
ReplyDeleteI don't have anything. Can anyone understand what the parrot is saying? Besides who's the pretty boy...
ReplyDeleteAnd how does the shark come into play? The directions it is swimming? The direction the contraption is facing?
ReplyDeleteI translate P to russian but nope, maby old russian?
ReplyDeletestill stuck with the morse code in chapter 4. there is now way I can see a "s" (three short bolts)
ReplyDelete@lovely, you're on five? What's next to the siren? What might she want?
ReplyDeleteOh, well that was easy and obvious :) Thanks!
ReplyDelete@Casual, there's actually two "s" in the solution...
ReplyDeleteCasual, first word is what they shall do, second word is the direction (btw first word is not sail)
ReplyDeleteWhere is some Russian ? Did you get level 5 already ? I am still stuck there.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Red october :)
ReplyDelete@Zazie, get a pen, watch the lightning, then translate...
ReplyDeleteI already did the morse code, i am stuck in lvl 5 with the siren.
ReplyDeletef***, you know what I did??? I made a screenshot of the lightning bolts and looked tried to find a morse code hidden there...lol
ReplyDelete@Zazie, read my post from 6:06
ReplyDeleteGot it! Russian word for the animal.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeletehello,
please I have the four clues on level 3, but couldn't make the sentence. I need more hints, if possible.
tks
Casual, not the form of lightning is important, but how they are blinking, short, short, short (=3 dots) means S etc...so the lightning is writing 2 words
ReplyDelete@lovely: in cyrillic letters?
ReplyDeleteYes Rudi, i saw the cage and i tried bird, raven etc but i don´t get it.
ReplyDeletethanks! finally at 5
ReplyDeleteNope, write phonetically.
ReplyDeletewas off for some tuna salad ! :D what's more specific than blackbird ? black crow isnt working !
ReplyDeleteLulu, whom should you seek and where ? Combine the 4 hints like this.
ReplyDelete@lovely: I have the word in a dictionary, but what ever I write is the wrong answer...
ReplyDeletenvmd, got it!
ReplyDeleteIt's ak***
ReplyDeleteI tried google translate and it worked.
@Zazie, for 5: you can speak
ReplyDeleteI had the third letter wrong :-)
ReplyDeleteCasual, but what ? lol
ReplyDelete@Zazie, it's abird, but not a raven that pesky little p.....
ReplyDeleteNow for the name. Initially, initials? But the words are all correct.
ReplyDeleteThx Rudi, got it !!
ReplyDeleteI have the russian word, but don't know how to write it. first 3 letters look obvious, but what could the 4th be?
ReplyDeleteThe parrot's name is an anagram of the initial letters of the six previous correct entries.
ReplyDeleteCasual, Google translate has an option to write it phonetically.
ReplyDeleteBut it's an L.
Don´t get the russian word right.
ReplyDeletethanks @lovelygiraffe! up tp 7 now
ReplyDeletei see u r busy guys but can anyone spoil the 4 clues for me ?? i tried them in all orders !!

ReplyDeletemorse code please STORM???
ReplyDeleteanyone got chapter 7?
ReplyDelete@Casual: same here, keep getting different numbers :-(
ReplyDeleteOn 7 just count everything and transform those numbers. You don't need to anagram, they are in correct order. It's a 5 letter word.
ReplyDeletegoogled morse codes ! no results that make sense !

ReplyDelete@PM: I think everything has been said about 4. look at Zazie's posts from 5:31 AM & 6:17 AM
ReplyDelete@PM go to wikipedia and search for morse code then follow how the lightning goes n transform lights into letters !

ReplyDeleteI've got NO idea what so ever for 8. Tried, cuba, havana, hawaii, peru, mexico, etc etc
ReplyDelete@Zazie: count all the provision in the picture. that gives you a word
ReplyDelete@Zazie, for 7, strong teeth might help you
ReplyDelete10 shark fins, 5 muskets, 18 coconuts,11 hats, 26 bananas is that correct??
ReplyDeleteI am too completely stuck on 8.
ReplyDeleteOn the parrot's name (7). Am I right in assuming that it is 6 letters made up of the first letters of the previous answers?
ReplyDelete@Ruit: 1 banana too many.
ReplyDeletefor 8, I thought it could be a certain bay? but I can't find an anagram for the remaining capital letters.
ReplyDeleteand I think if you read the story backwards, it makes more sense...
@RSA: correct
ReplyDelete:) sorry, should refresh more than once an hour (sheepish)
ReplyDelete@rudi thx, never heard of!!!
ReplyDeleteYes RSA, anagram it...
ReplyDeleteStill don´t get 7, tried steaks, meat, ribs etc...
@Zazie A = 1, B = 2 etc...
ReplyDeleteThx finally got it...
ReplyDelete@zazie: it's something you could keep aboard for a long time. Ever heard of Pemmikan?
ReplyDelete@Zazie: did you count the shark fins, muskets, etc? it gives you a word (or just look at Ruit's post from 7:53 AM)
ReplyDeleteany hint for 6 pls...

ReplyDeletesam1902
ReplyDeleteThe thing with the fin that is swimming around is a A,,,, in russian

ReplyDeleteI think it sounds more like the protagonist from Bram Stoker's famous novel ;-)
ReplyDeletethanks @ RSA...:)
ReplyDelete@e-addict there's a birdcage and you got a .....
ReplyDeleteFor 8, do we need a translation from English to Pirate?
ReplyDeleteDid you get 8 already ?
ReplyDelete@Casual: van Helsing? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have a question, since I'm not a native speaker. what does "sought" exactly mean? is it the past tense from "sough"?
ReplyDeletelol @Rudi!
ReplyDeletepast form of search
ReplyDeleteCasual
ReplyDeleteSought is past tense for to seek or, in plain english it is to have looked for
Still fiddling with 8
@RSA: you're right :)
ReplyDelete8 really is a bitch. Nobody with a clou?
ReplyDeleteLOL click de chest
ReplyDeleteHELP message in a bottle????
ReplyDeleteThanks all.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why there is still the russian periscope in the back. maybe translate something to russian again?
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteSpent ages looking up pirate phrases and still have no clue what the message says for 8
Also stuck with bottle.
ReplyDeletefirst letters of riddle spell ionbtyaw angram?
ReplyDeletetaking a break - normally gets the brain working
ReplyDeletethis is getting ridiculous lol
ReplyDeletetrying "pirateese"... briny, cat, ahoy, , Aft, oooooooh!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW.... the time here is 5:35 PM. Why is the game time 8:36 AM??
ReplyDeleteNetherlands
The only thing I can make of this is the cat-o-nine-tails, or "cat", which is the weapon used for flogging. That would take care of the second and third lines. A pirate says "Ahoy" instead of hello, which is the fourth line, not sure about lines 1, 5,6,7,8
ReplyDeletegame is hosted in california.
ReplyDeletethats my guess
going in circles. I even tried "bay of pigs", blood bay, bloody bay, bloody island, ...even equator!
ReplyDeleteline 5 rum line 6 treasure
ReplyDelete@t, thx that must be it..............now for the riddle. it´s a hard one.
ReplyDeleteFor 8 I can figure out Briny, Thong, Cat-o-nine,ahoy, Plunder, aft.
ReplyDeletesomething North Bay, got cayi +grog, loot & sun words...
ReplyDeleteI have to fetch my daughter, will be back later.
ReplyDeleteGL all.
Here is a link, maybe someone finds the right word.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.black-bart.co.uk/html/pirate_glossary.html
I was tested yesterday whith a IQ of a 130........, or this riddle is to simple for me or the IQ test failed.......LOL
ReplyDeleteOkay so:
ReplyDeleteSea = Briny
Cord = thong / leash
Nine tales = cat
Hello = ahoy
drink = ? splice the brace ?
loot = swag
back of ship = abaft / aft
sunset = ? over the yard arm ?
loot could be booty too?
ReplyDeletegrog also was:
ReplyDeletearrack
bumboo
rumfustain
I don't even understand anymore what you are doing, lol.
ReplyDeletehow can these "translations" lead to an answer?
Hi, just joining and trying to catch up on lvl 3...love the theme and graphics!
ReplyDelete@Casual: maybe anagram the initials of these translations? But for some of them there are too many possibilities ...
ReplyDeletei hoped they might be an anagram... but could be on the wrong track...
ReplyDeleteCasual
ReplyDeleteNo clue but it does say that if you can talk like a pirate you can find the location. I'm just going google crazy with it in the hopes that something clicks
If anyone gets stuck on 3 like me, try adding spaces, lol, I was used to never adding spaces, maybe I should've read instructions better?
ReplyDeleteI think, I need some grog as well now ;-)
ReplyDeletesince premiere is not here now, I'll do the job:
