@ RSA can cord for flogging be a whip?
ReplyDeletei think Siobhan Daniels is right with the booty being the treasure as that would have booty, abaft and yardarm which could be 'bay' at the end ??
ReplyDeletegosh, I love the idea of riddle games but am SO bad at them
ReplyDeletestuck on level 3. I understand what to do (found the clues, make the sentence) but can't figure out where to meet piggie
tried piratecove, jamaica, iamaica, caribbeansea, sdomingo...
anyone want to take pity on me and spoil it?
Same here PM
ReplyDeleteOMG SPACES!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI tell you I suck at these!
Jo-Ann
ReplyDeletethey shout at me when I give spoilers :(
try the desk, the light, the book and the globe - in that order and use 'at' instead of the sign
@rsa it was the spaces I was missing.... acckk
ReplyDelete@Jo, its a 4 words' sentence...
ReplyDeletesecond word is bay
ReplyDeleteJo-Ann
ReplyDelete:) we get so used to one format that we often miss the obvious - damn frustrating
@PM: are you saying you know the solution?
ReplyDeletecan loot be booty
ReplyDeleteI do not know the whole solution. All i have figured out is Loot = Booty, rear is Aft, and the sun passes over the Yardarm. BAY
ReplyDeletesam1902
ReplyDeleteI think the last three letters spell out bay so, yes, it probably is - hopefully or we are all barking up the wrong tree in the wrong garden
If the last three letters spell out bay then whatever the whip is has to start with a vowel as the 'cat' cannot be anything else
ReplyDeletegot it! thanks to you guys!
ReplyDeletethink of a big mammal which lives in the ocean!
am I caught up now? on level 8 trying to decipher the note in the bottle
ReplyDelete(sea is not briny)

ReplyDeletebahhh! 8 letters! I had combined two lines and was looking for 7 letters!
ReplyDeletethanks for the hints, onto 9!
Finally!!! Thanks @Casual!
ReplyDeletethanks casual and rsa...
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck at 6 and the periscope, all the russian sub hints make no sense to me.
ReplyDelete@kimbo, find a connection with the names of russian subs and a shark...
ReplyDelete@Kimno: the russian sub is only the hint that the word you are looking for is in russian language. you have to translate the animal to russian and use the phonetic spelling
ReplyDelete@Kimbo, there are several Soviet submarine classes, some of them nuclear. Have a look at them.
ReplyDeletegot the very shakespearean answer and now it is asking me if I am sure but wont do anything about it
ReplyDeleteok, got me my ACME sea monster kit lol

ReplyDeletelooking for magic words now
ReplyDeleteJo-Ann, Advil isn't much of a name?
ReplyDelete@Rudi, is that a hint for level 10?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Ann was trying to do it in two steps but it actually says that it must be in one string.
ReplyDelete@Jo-Ann, that was q question for 9 :-) That's what I got for an answer with the combination of Shakespeare and the anagram.
ReplyDelete@RSA those spaces are killing me too! lol
ReplyDeleteany thoughts on magic words?
@RSA Momma Cyndi So something is wrong with my first word, the second is ok
ReplyDelete@rudi, no anagram... the letters will say something if they don't then change your answers
ReplyDeleteany help rsa? pls...
ReplyDelete@Sam there should be two #2's in your answer....
ReplyDeletePaula Regina
ReplyDeletecheck the morse again - I've lost my scrap from there but it is just what you do with a ship (or a car or a bike etc) when you want to go in that direction
@Paula, the morse code is difficult because the first two letters of the first word are the same as the last two letters of the second word
ReplyDeleteor at least that is where I had trouble
having trouble on 10
ReplyDeleteArrggg! lol
Jo-Ann.. can you be more specific. I am almost there
ReplyDeleteDrawing a blank on monsters name.
ReplyDeletesam1902
ReplyDeleteif you look at the list, the first answer is a number, the next 6 are letters then another number. Just dump the name of the speaker directly onto the end of that
Arggggg!
ReplyDeleteI'm still struggeling with chapter 9. I know who said it, but that doesn't work?!
ReplyDeletePM
ReplyDeletedon't do it in two separate enters - it is all one 'word' with the formula and the name with no spaces
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletethanks! finally got it.
ReplyDeletethanks jo and rsa...is this supposed to be a name? that's why its a monster...lolz..
ReplyDelete@enjoy you are going NOrth
ReplyDeleteHi i am back und struggling with monsters name, i have got the well known sentence from Shakespeare, but Hamlet or Ophelia doesn´t work.
ReplyDeleteGot to 10. @Casual: you got the first combination right? The comes the prince...
ReplyDelete@Zazie: also use the line you got from instruction paper
ReplyDeleteI'm about willing to aarrrggg!

ReplyDeletehttp://s.discogss.com/image/R-3894622-1348387439-3641.jpeg
@Zazie no spaces right?
ReplyDeleteGot it thank you!
ReplyDelete@Zazie: there must be something wrong with your first part.
ReplyDeleteThx RSA, got it !! You need the formula AND the name of the person.
ReplyDelete@Anyone up for a beer LMAO
ReplyDelete@Jo-Ann Yes, the same letters, but I am trying, lol
ReplyDelete@ANYONEupFORbeer: nice! I don't think this is a coincidence
ReplyDelete@Paula, what do you want to do with the ship to make it turn? St_ _ _
ReplyDelete@oneupforabeer and casual
ReplyDeleteI have tried davy jones, voodoo, magic words, the magic words... among so many other things
and my arrggg sound has gone away, is that because I have been on this level too long?
I tried las palabras magicas as well, and the only tracks on that album are voodoo and the magic words, if it does have something to do with it
ReplyDeleteI tried all 12 song titles from the album, nothing
ReplyDeleteAlso stuck in 10.
ReplyDeletewas going for dinner..back again... you all are so ahead!!!
ReplyDeletestuck on 10
ReplyDeletecan't even list the things I've tried because I've tried so many things!
Even tried: oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang.
ReplyDeleteNope :-)
I tried typing in the locations of the brown headed nails, i.e. eye, heart, rope, etc. Nothing>
ReplyDeleteLOL @rudi
ReplyDeleteMy internet has slowed down to a crawl. *&^% telkom!
ReplyDeleteTrying to get into the creole phrase book as it may be 'sorry'?
I am looking at the position of the nails being braille
ReplyDelete@Jo-Ann Thank you very much, I had already put that answer, but I don't know why it hadn't worked, and was the first that I found, I think my computer is doing a trick with me lol
ReplyDeleteI tried to look at the nails as braille, but having problems with the nails in the head :(
ReplyDeleteglad you are moving on Paula!
ReplyDelete@small-tool: those are the reasons for braille :-)
ReplyDeletecould the background noise be the clue? that tapping could be more morse??? am i clutching at straws??? aaarrrgh!
ReplyDeletethere are 2 different color nails. Trying to look at the first letter of each body part the nail is in. The green nails then the brown.
ReplyDeleteI don't get level 9. the famous frase from Hamlet doesn't work for me. Even with 2 or two or to
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@ca3na: it's the famous phrase plus the title
ReplyDelete@ca3na: you'll need that phrase plus a name. and keep the 2's
ReplyDeleteyou have to type the phrase and then the name of the person saying the phrase together as 1 word, but type the phrase exactly as it is in the questions
ReplyDelete@ca3na, the first answer is 2, the second answer is b, the third answer is o
ReplyDeletekeep answering, then add the speakers name to the end with no spaces
thanks @PM, but somehow I don't get a proper word. is the middle green nail stuck in the belly/stomach?
ReplyDeleteready to give up for now...
ReplyDeleteI thought when anyoneupforabeer found that album, it was going to be a song title but none of them work
not even you go your way....
arrggg! which (as I am sure you all tried as well) doesn't work
PM
ReplyDeletenot getting it. Is it an anagram and does it come out in english?
Thanks Casual & Rudi!
ReplyDeleteStuck on 10 too, even tried to anagram the 1st letter of nail positions, such as E for eyes, nothing.
ReplyDeleteIf it's really for the nail's colours, I'm done. I'm almost colour blind and can't see the difference between the brown and the green nails :-(
ReplyDeletei read here in a site, red nails mean power and green nails mean tranquility...will that help? brown nails are not mentioned there...
ReplyDelete@PM do you have the answer or is that just what you are working on?
ReplyDelete@Rudi: wait a second
ReplyDeleteI do not have the solution, that is what Im working on, with no success I might add.
ReplyDeletedo you think the green that the doll is laying on means anything? one of the songs is called grazing in the grass
ReplyDeleteRED AS A HEART... something near that anyone?
ReplyDeleteRudi
ReplyDeleteGreen
- knife blade
- right arm
- right eye
- left ear
- left arm
- stomach
- left foot
Brown

- right foot
- right toe

ReplyDeleteBROWN/GREEN NAILS
I am now in chapter 7 Uhullll!!
ReplyDeleteis it of any help that magic words of voodoo should be in french?
ReplyDeletethanks again @RSA and @Casual!
ReplyDeletethe best I can come up with is to use rope, ear, leg, ear, arm, stomach, eye to form Release, but that leaves knife/sword, heart, leg, hand, arm :(
ReplyDelete@anyoneforabeer, release is a good word!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm
Quote from the chapter ... "after several attempts you find the right combination" we have to be on the right track.
ReplyDeletelol, you could add this quote to almost every chapter...
ReplyDeleteWell i need a break, gl all, cu later.
ReplyDeletewell, gotta go to a conference, good luck all!
ReplyDeletefor the brown i can get 'father' using foot, ankle, toe, heart, eye and rope
ReplyDeleteI only make one possible word, Stomach,Neck,Arm,Knife,Eye....that leaves so many others and what if I'm not naming parts right? Like foot could be a toe, ear one might be neck? I'm lost
ReplyDeletethat's it! going to make me a drink, maybe that helps...
ReplyDeleteARRRGGG! Too many possibilities for level 10.
ReplyDeleteMe too...coffee..
ReplyDeleteI Can also get ...
Foot,Rope,Eye,Eye, Toe,Heart,Ear....I give up for now.
seeking the wisdom needed in a glass or two of wine, maybe that'll help.
ReplyDeletewell I am ready for a break too
ReplyDeletegood luck all!

ReplyDeletenot a lot of talk over there on this game
That's a good idea @Rudi....Prosit

ReplyDeleteThe picture is the same as the one for Pirates of the Caribbean - dead man's chest but with the kraken guy instead of Sparrow. Could that be a clue?
ReplyDelete(no Jack Sparrow and black pearl and father kraken don't work)
@Jo-An. yes that was me.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.

ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteGot it, Great Job enjoy! my brain is fried!
ReplyDeletethanks, onto 11 now ;-)
ReplyDeleteI missed your hint Enjoy, still stuck on 10, not giving too much away to me...lol
ReplyDeleteTo remind everybody;
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS NOT AN EG24 RIDDLE!
So don't give answers or hints that are too obvious.
We had a lot of problems with the makers of riddles before because we gave away too much.
Riddles were even taken off line, because of that.
Please don't let that happen again, Give subtle hints.
Many thanks in advance :)
Great find @Enjoy, but still no go.
ReplyDeletewhat is it enjoy? pls help me...
ReplyDeleteMan, looks like we missed a great comment before it was deleted, darn! lol
ReplyDeleteIn chap 11 it looks as if the second round of cannon fire appears to be spelling something. Not sure what it is.
ReplyDeleteeye
ReplyDeleteheart
hand or finger
rope
leg or ankle
foot or toe
hmmmm
Yes got it. Thanks Enjoy
ReplyDeleteOk, I had to delete my previous comment because it gave too much away. If you saw my last post, I left out one letter for the brown.
ReplyDeleteyou need to see that the nails are different colors. you need to figure out what body parts the nails are stuck in. You will get two words, one from the brown and one from the green.
The hint for level ten is;
ReplyDeleteIt's about the parts of the bodies and taking the first letters.
Two words, made from the green nails and made from the brown nails.
A voodoo doll is not always completely anatomically correct. The heart is not exactly in the right place.
bummer! Went off to feed the dog and now am still stuck. Not even a hint to go on :(
ReplyDeleteRSA, I'm stuck with you, the above hints tell me nothing more than what I've been trying to do all along. Obviously getting parts wrong. Not getting words...and if it's not anatomically correct then wow, no clue.
ReplyDeletegot father, safe sea ? about to quit. no fun.
ReplyDeleteme too rsa...i was searching the meaning...
ReplyDeletewho needs help still on 10? ask questions
ReplyDeleteis green a body part as well?
ReplyDeleteMe! Is it a hand or a finger, a foot or a toe, a leg or a foot, a chest or a heart, a ear or neck? lol so many ???
ReplyDeleteOn 10.
ReplyDeleteThe not always completely anatomically part you guys have already used. The heart is way higher then it should be.
For the green ones, the main problem is probably how to call the sword, knife or blade. Well, it's not all of that, find another 6 letter word for that.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletenice one kimbo...;)
ReplyDeleteWell at least we have Casual's screen shot that we can blow up so let's give it a go
ReplyDeleteBrown
- eye or head (must be eye as we need a vowel)
- finger, hand or grass
- heart, chest, body or thorax
- foot, ankle or leg (must be ankle as two vowels are probable
- toe, foot or grass
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Kimbo I saw your post from 11:55 AM and noticed something:
ReplyDeleteFoot
Rope
Eye
Eye
Toe
Heart
Ear
Pay attention to capital letters, does it make any sense?
for green is it :
ReplyDeleteeye
ear
arm
arm
sword
stomach
leg
For brown is it :
eye
hand
heart
rope
ankle
toe
Any hint on level 11?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletestuck at chapter 11 as well. I can tell how many shots have been fired, but even when I watch the sequence in very slow motion, I can't recognize letters or symbols...
ReplyDeleteTks @EnJoy
ReplyDeleteNow on 11

ReplyDeletethanks enjoy...
ReplyDeleteLEVEL 11
ReplyDeleteI wish we knew how many letters and if the term we are looking for is standard English or more Nautical
arrggg... was helping on 10, now must get to work on 11!
ReplyDeletePaula, yes, that was my hint as to what I'm getting at, but can't get another word so I figured it was wrong...is it not?
ReplyDelete3 1 4 1 5 4 1 4 2 3 2 3 2 6
