  1. Is it all clockwise by the way?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Haha thats what I got

    ReplyDelete
  3. @PM: had the same, the only anagram for that is at odds :-)

    ReplyDelete
  4. XXXXX = L?
    landsend = d or s?
semitone = to or ne or on?
    starts to adjust = ad?

Does the word ends with ed?

    ReplyDelete
  5. XXXXX romans would mean LL because romans is plural, I'm pretty sure I have the second island but still can't get the 4th island. For that i have SOSE?

    ReplyDelete
  6. back for some more fun!

I have island 1 and 3 but still working on 2 and 4

thought I had 4 but it tells me it's the wrong answer

    ReplyDelete
  7. 15, can't get 2nd word for name of his ship? Is there a hint or just guess work once you get 1st word?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I am totally stuck on 17. I just don't think this way :(

The only Island I can get is the first one

    ReplyDelete
  9. Is a mineral rock deposit ORE?

    ReplyDelete
  10. @Kimbo what is he holding?

    @Enjoy yes

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ive tried every letter possible for island 2, still cant get it.

    ReplyDelete
  12. @Enjoy: for island #3, have a look at my posting from 8:28

    ReplyDelete
  13. I thought the 2nd island would be ATOLLS but that is wrong, I still can't get the 4th island either, I have S for Snakes head, O for Overlords leader, Y maybe for MY inverted head, and E or H for elemental first. Anyone have the 4th island?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Overlords leader is some kind of magician...

    ReplyDelete
  15. You're on the right track for 4th island, just invert my head so you get a brand new letter.

    ReplyDelete
  16. figured out the second island

    ReplyDelete
  17. can't figure out the 4th

inverts my head is that p? can't be....

    ReplyDelete
  18. You're almost there. Just be careful, my head is the same thing as snakes head.

    ReplyDelete
  19. starts to adjust and semitone both have two letters

romans and landsend have one each

you guys figured out romans and landsend already

starts to adjust.... there are 2 words there
semitone...semi means half half of what?

does that help? don't want to give it away

now please! help with 4th island!

    ReplyDelete
  20. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Jo-Ann: I solved 4, but I'm not sure about how "inverts my head" works. I bruteforced it.
an explanation could be: there is an english saying when you do something very quick. "head xxxx xxxxx"

    ReplyDelete
  22. trying to catch up...

    for third island I have:

    Short Company = CO
    SE Reversed = ES
    First 2 die - DI
    Mineral Rock = OR
    End Point = T
    Sodium = NA

    Is that right?

    ReplyDelete
  23. EnJoy, that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. lol @Dutchie

I don't want to write it out so I tried hints

are the hints enough? or should I give more

for the 4th I have S, EorH, O,but can't seem to find the last letter... maybe I have something else wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Enjoy
you have all the right letters, ask granmaa

    ReplyDelete
  26. @EnJoy: yup (better delete that before you get in trouble ;-) )

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jo-Ann, i gave you the name, twice

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Jo-Ann, the "head" can also be the "head" of a word.

    Still lost on island two.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Jo-Ann: this is correct! the last letter is, as I said before, a magician. and overlord is a game...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Island 2

    Lands End = S
    XXXXX Roman = L
    Stards to Adjust = AD
    Semitone = ??

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jo-Ann, if like you figured d can be p, that means that head of my can be ... ?

    ReplyDelete
  32. OMG I can be so dense! no idea how I've managed to get this far in the riddle...riding on all your shirt tails I guess

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Enjoy starts to adjust is wrong

have all 4 but need to do more work

    ReplyDelete
  34. Island 4:

    Snakes head = S
    First Element = H
    Overloads Leader = O
    Inverts my head = W or P ????

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Enjoy:
    Starts to adjust: two words!
Semitone: just try the two possibilities.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @EnJoy: just try both possibilities

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't understand the second part.

    ReplyDelete
  38. still struggling for #4 ...

    ReplyDelete
  39. hmmm.. I don't know what you mean Rudi

    "Starts to adjust" "two words"

different starts to the word adjust? Readjust??

    ReplyDelete
  40. Got #4 as well, now what do I see?

    ReplyDelete
  41. @enjoy... after the word starts there are two words.... what do they start with?

    ReplyDelete
  42. got starts to adjust now :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Enjoy: you need two "starts" and you got two words...

    ReplyDelete
  44. @lovely, do you mean the second part after naming the islands?

I am not sure what it means either

    ReplyDelete
  45. Tried half of both semi and tone and got nothing

    ReplyDelete
  46. @PM: what else have you got for #2?

    ReplyDelete
  47. @PM semi is telling you half the second part is what you need to half

    there are two possibililites

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yes, I don't know what any of it means :) Is name of the island group the four names we found? And what do we see? A map?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Finally I got all four words.. but now what?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Tried TO NE and even ON. for the rest I have L AJ S

    ReplyDelete
  51. @lovely, I thought I could just rearrange the names to a sentence but that is wrong

I tried adding up the missing letters for each island and trying to make a word... nope

even took my glasses off and squinted real hard at the map and the sail bar...nope

    ReplyDelete
  52. PM you are missing a letter

    TO is correct

No J. See my comment above

Starts To Adjust - see capital letters

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Enjoy stuck there too with the comment

Now apply the name of the island group to what you see.

    no idea

    ReplyDelete
  54. K, stuck with some of you on 17

    ReplyDelete
  55. Okay. Thank you all for all the clues. Now, what group of islands is this?

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Bill, do you think it is a real group?

we are supposed to be in the Caribbean

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm searching Google Earth right now :-)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think the name of the island group is what we just figured out and island #2 is pointing us to some math to find out where we need to go

    ReplyDelete
  59. A group of islands is archipelago. It's probably simpler than this.

    ReplyDelete
  60. but then I am also the one who could not figure out island #4 even with people blatantly giving me the answer repeatedly *blush*

    ReplyDelete
  61. Got it! Thank you all!! Are we supposed to do more on this chapter because the page didnt advance?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I am assuming this is a real island group, so we can apply this name to what we see (whatever that may mean).

    ReplyDelete
  63. Is Island #3 Cuba inverted or flipped around or something?

    ReplyDelete
  64. @PM when you enter the four names in order (1-4) it tells you

now apply the name of the island group to what you see

    ReplyDelete
  65. to me island 3 looks a bit like a squished Haiti with DR cut off... lol

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks Jo-ann, Im slow at times!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Me too Joann.. I see Cuba and Haiti

    ReplyDelete
  68. then I am in good company!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Is there anyway to "image search" the picture?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Tried Greater Antilles, but no

    ReplyDelete
  71. Compass points NE and red ink on the top right of the page???

    ReplyDelete
  72. the red ink/blood was also on a previous map. I don't think it's important...

is it possible to connect the islands? like a puzzle?

    ReplyDelete
  73. I tried Leeward, Windward, Hispaniola, Bahamas, greater antilles and virgin islands...no.

    ReplyDelete
  74. if the compass is pointing north, then the angle of the islands is off for Cuba and Haiti

    ReplyDelete
  75. The compass pointing NE is pointing in the direction of Bermuda.

    ReplyDelete
  76. what island do you think is Cuba?

    ReplyDelete
  77. From left to right: Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico

    ReplyDelete
  78. in the very beginning we sailed to Cuba

then, we saw on a map south of Jamaica was pirate cove

there is nothing south of Jamaica... so are we dealing with made up islands?

    ReplyDelete
  79. still not convinced that the map is showing Cuba inbetween Jamaica and Haiti

    ReplyDelete
  80. just went back to level 3 to look at the map again. It shows islands between jamaica and riohacha Columbia

    ReplyDelete
  81. Is there a part 2 to lvl 17? It seems you guys got a 1st answer that I don't understand. Not sure

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm just curious, how do you delete a previous comment?

    ReplyDelete
  83. It appears we are all floundering on the rocks of these islands.

    ReplyDelete
  84. @Kimbo: If you have all islands, enter their names from left to right. The it will ask the next question.

    ReplyDelete
  85. the compass is directly north on level 3. mean anything??

    ReplyDelete
  86. @Kimbo, once you have all 4 names of the islands, you enter them from 1-4 and you get a message that says

Good. Now apply the name of the island group to what you see.

    ReplyDelete
  87. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @Casual that it what I have been working on...

just not sure how to apply it

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh, thank you...still working on the names though, not getting all the hints.

    ReplyDelete
  90. had to delete previous comment, because I accidentally wrote the names of all 4 islands..

I rearranged the islands to get a proper sentence. I tried "island 2, island 4, island 1, island 3".

for example the word from island 1 would be "6, 15, xx, xx". total would be 60.
for the other words I got:
    75 (island 2)
    123 (island 3)
    66 (island 4).

    can somebody confirm that?
and how to use coordinates? I mean, where can I put them to find a place?

    ReplyDelete
  91. @Enjoy, I think that map is showing the real islands and that we are exploring a group of islands south of jamaica

although, we had to steer off course to the east....

    ReplyDelete
  92. I sometimes use this site on riddles:

    http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html

    ReplyDelete
  93. and how do I use that?
    for example I have these coordinates from new york city: 40° 43′ N, 74° 0′ W
how would I use them on this site to find that place, if I didn't know it's nyc?

    ReplyDelete
  94. I am not sure Casual.. the compass rose points NE. could we do something with that?

    ReplyDelete
  95. @Enjoy I see your post on Nordinho... let's hope Creo drops a hint

    ReplyDelete
  96. yeah! and tell Creo I want my life back!

    ReplyDelete
  97. He eventually got back to me on level 10 -- after I had figured it out :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. Here are the coordinates for Cuba - might help us with the numbers we have ???

Latitude of Cuba: 21º 30´ North of the Equator

Longitude of Cuba: 80º 00´ West of Greenwich

    ReplyDelete
  99. with the numbers from casual we could get a longitude but not a lat that would keep us in the same area

    ReplyDelete
  100. Ok finally got the island names, think I'm with you now...although I'm never any help..lol

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yay Kimbo!

fresh eyes may be all we need!

    ReplyDelete
  102. maybe we need different numbers. can anyone think of another sentence that would make sense?
and maybe not sum up the letters, but something different?! aaaaarrrgh!

    ReplyDelete
  103. @EnJoy! I might just fell in love! a hinty-hint, please?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Look at this map and look NE of Cuba

    http://geology.com/world/caribbean-satellite-image.shtml

    ReplyDelete
  105. Yay Enjoy!

    Now please...hint?!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Look at above map and think Grog

    ReplyDelete
  107. thanks enjoy!

but the gamer in me needs to know how... we didn't solve the names of all the islands to just look on a map

    do you know why?

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'm thinking about grog since chapter 11 ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  109. good question @Jo-Ann! nevermind, final chapter! let's go!

    ReplyDelete
  110. and off to chapter 18b, of course it couldn't be that easy...

    ReplyDelete
  111. I just looked on the map. I was convinced that the level showed Cuba and the compass rose was pointing NE, so I saw a name that fit and gave it a try

    ReplyDelete
  112. last puzzle is the name of the final ship

    8 letters

still wondering why the answer for 17

    ReplyDelete
  113. hi guys, I've been silently playing with you since this morning (it's 8pm here) and I'm as stuck as you, when I enter the coordinates 75.66 lat and 60.123 long, I end up somewhere in russia in the middle of nowhere

    ReplyDelete
  114. each character on the new ship has something to say (clue) and there are 8 of them. guessing we take the first letter of each answer and anagram?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Hawaiian tree, found a few of them...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Hawaiian Wood = Koa
    Laces = Aglets
    Silver country = Peru?
    Green/Brown things = Trees

    ReplyDelete
  117. the ends of shoestrings are called aglets

    ReplyDelete
  118. I got Aalii for the Hawaiian tree, dont know if its correct.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Great find, @Enjoy! Just coming back from the chinese takeaway around the corner only to see you all have set sails already!

    ReplyDelete
  120. @Enjoy I also found aalii for Hawaiian hardwood also one that starts with N and one that starts with W

    ReplyDelete
  121. for the singing skeletal pirate - Arahant?

    ReplyDelete
  122. the siren and the rows and columns - grid?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Yes, Koa is not correct. I will go with aalii too

    ReplyDelete
  124. Good Job Enjoy on islands...that was a doozy!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Top 2 silver producers are Peru and Mexico

    ReplyDelete
  126. there is an area in Washington state called "The Silver Country", although I am kind of leaning toward Peru, and the parrot's phrase describes the word pesky

    ReplyDelete
  127. @Jo-ann I got the same as you for the Skeleton, only spelled slightly different.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I tried AAAARRRR just for the heck of it, no dice.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I saw both spellings for it.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I assume that Elvis means "Buddha"

    ReplyDelete
  131. if we use Aalii for the hawaiian tree and arhat for reaching nirvana, that gives 3 a's

    ReplyDelete
  132. what was the name of the sea monster?

    ReplyDelete
  133. @Pm if we use the first letters it won't matter

    ReplyDelete
  134. @EnJoy: it's connected to shakespeare, remember?

    ReplyDelete
  135. So, this is what I have so far:

    Hawaiian Wood = Aalii
    Laces = Aglets
    Silver country = Peru
    Green/Brown things = Trees
Monk who has found Nirvana = Arahat
    Persistently Annoying = Pesky
Neat Rows and Columns = Grid/Table?
Name of the Serpent = Hamlet?

    ReplyDelete
  136. No, I don't remember the name.. didn't save most of the levels - Ohhhh.. does it begin with H?

    ReplyDelete
  137. "Shocked and amazed" = AWE?????

    ReplyDelete
  138. I think argentina is the silver country, hamlet is monster's name, nagging for the parrot, and maybe nest for the raven.

    ReplyDelete
  139. "annoy persistently" = Harass??

    ReplyDelete
  140. I have got to go... leave good hints :)

    ReplyDelete
  141. I guess Casual must have solved it already because he/she said they were off to level 18B.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I still think the monk from Elvis is "Buddha" rather than Arhat. As if that helps, however.

    ReplyDelete
  143. @Bill, maybe but going through all the levels of nirvana don't make you buddha, but you reach the final stage of enlightenment (Arhat)

    ReplyDelete
  144. lol, solved? me? pfff....I just rely on you guys!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Oh right, I didn't notice that Enjoy. The letter almost look like they spell HANGMANs, which wouldn't be a bad name for a pirate ship.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Google Captain Blood's Ship. Cheating I know, but it worked.

    ReplyDelete
  147. And apparently it was Buddha, not Arhat.

    ReplyDelete
  148. thanks @Bill! that was a hell of a ride!

    ReplyDelete
  149. And here I thought we were going to make it to 1000 comments. So close.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Awesome job everyone. Thanks for the help.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Great job BILL!! Thank you! I was pulling my hair out, anagramming everything.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Thanks to everyone for helping me along...great riddle Creo, lotsa fun!

    ReplyDelete
  153. Thanks to all! Was a pleasure!

    ReplyDelete
  154. I still would like to know which 2 clues started with an L.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Yeah Bill! Great teamwork everyone... I am still going to figure it out via the clues.. I am strange that way :)

    ReplyDelete
  156. well, out but unsatisfied with not knowing all the answers to 17 and 18

One L word could have been lattice instead of grid?

    ReplyDelete
  157. @Enjoy... me too! lol working backwords could be easier

    ReplyDelete
  158. and no letter T or H

that doesn't make sense... it had to be an H right?

    ReplyDelete
  159. @Jo-Ann: which chapter are you taling about?

    ReplyDelete
  160. 18 B trying to figure out why the answer was what it was

    not making sense

    ReplyDelete
  161. I'm just wondering, since I'm new to these riddle games, will there ever be a full walkthrough with explanations? I mean, after 1 or two weeks?

    ReplyDelete
  162. In chapter 15 I typed spectrum and he said "close", so I typed skull and he said "that's a start, or end"

    stuck

    ReplyDelete
  163. @Casual this is my first riddle game I normally stay away because I get lost and left behind immediately.

So I have no idea. But I would love to know how the answer to 17 and 18 came about

    ReplyDelete
  164. @Paula, second word is right, first is close

    ReplyDelete
  165. @Paula Regina: try an adjective for your first word. solution is this adjective plus you 2nd word

    ReplyDelete
  166. @Jo-Ann: working on 18b, but far away from solving it properly...

    ReplyDelete
  167. @Casual, been looking at it and don't get it. Thought for sure we had the name of the sea monster but there is no H

Unless all of that was a wild goose chase and we had to just google the name of the ship

    ReplyDelete
  168. I think it also has something to with the scream at the beginning of each sentence. every person/creature has another way of "ARH", "ARG" and so on...

    ReplyDelete
  169. I think its pretty bad when we can't even work backwards to get the answer. In my opinion, whoever takes all the time and energy to make riddle games should write a walkthrough to explain the answers after about a week. I rarely play them just because that never seems to happen, I get stuck at a certain point and can't get past it. I think for every 1 person that is able to solve it, there are a hundred that cannot. To me, if I constructed a game, I would want as many people as possible to enjoy them, but maybe that is just me!

    ReplyDelete
  170. interesting idea Casual

I am leaving this for now. spent too much time on it already

will check back later to see if anyone figured it out

    ReplyDelete
  171. @a03e2aba...: I understand what you mean and you are probably right.
but actually that's what I really liked about this game.
most of the riddles, I couldn't solve by myself. but someone discovers something at one point and with teamwork it's going to be solved.
I enjoyed this hard game much more than all the other escape game which lasts only 10-30 minutes...

    ReplyDelete
  172. I agree @a03e

I was just checking out the lat and long for rum cay and they are no where what Casual had counted for level 17...

still no clue how that happened

still no idea how to get all the letters for level 18

    but I need to go

    will check in later

    ReplyDelete
  173. btw a03e2ab...: is your name also a riddle? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  174. Thanks @Jo-Ann and @Casual =D

    ReplyDelete
  175. No, that's another sore subject for me, this site makes it so difficult to post if you don't have a google account. I'm using my AIM account and this is what comes out instead of my user name, no idea why. I do like that the answers arent given immediately, and that teamwork is needed to solve them. What I absolutely hate is no explanation like Creo's previous game Escape the Mad Tea Party. I worked on that one for a week and to this day I have no idea what half of the answers are. They should all be like Premiere's Arto Ludi riddle game, she wrote an excellent WT 5 or 6 days later, without that I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

  177. Just coming back to do the obvious: Thank you, Creo, for that riddle. Thanks for the tremendous work you put into it, thanks for the outstanding graphics, thanks for the brainwork that went into all the puzzles (while some of them, e.g. the needles-and-pin-man were really hard to solve, esp. for the colour impaired). But it's nice to see that for two days a group of people from all over the world form a fellowship to solve and overcome all obstacles. And(!) nudge those lagging behind in the right directions. Great job!

  180. @ a03e2aba-0869-11e2-8ada-000bcdcb2996 I totally agree with you. I'm now at the point of quitting. And I feel really sorry because it's a truly great game, but I'm so stuck that it's getting frustrating. I can come back in a week or two, but I know there will be no solutions what so ever. So indeed these kind of games are only for a happy few, alas.

    ReplyDelete
  181. @ca3na if you want some more hints, you can ask... I have been checking back periodically

    ReplyDelete
  182. FINISHED at last......

    ReplyDelete
  183. Thanks for a great puzzle took me two days and would still be at it without the help of others Creo you have to do a sequel but give us some time to recover my brain is fried its 10 to midnight here in Australia I need my sleep thats if I can sleep so wired lol THANKS AGAIN BRAVO

    ReplyDelete
  184. Finished, but without you all, this would be impossible

    ReplyDelete
  185. ah well looking forwards to premiere's walkthrough if you have the time to do it (your the best at WT) i do love trying these games but only manage a couple of levels because everyone else is too clever and im always left behind but i dont mind only got the the 3rd level on this one and stuck ..but i will keep on trying .....congrats to all who finished.....x

    ReplyDelete
  186. I couldn't resist to pick up where I left the day before yesterday

    ReplyDelete
  187. And thanks POP finally .....hoist the sails :)
