  1. Crayon from the train (by the huge teddy. Another from the top of the picture (desk). Third from under the bed - gives key for desk when put into crayon box

Part of robot from desk drawer and battery from drawer next to desk and robot head from blobby thing on bed

The robot legs go into slot by the christmas tree but the battery won't go in there.

    Now stuck

    ReplyDelete
  2. stuck with robots head and a battery

    ReplyDelete
  3. I thought the cupboard would be the logical progression of the math in the notebook on the floor but it doesn't seem to work

    ReplyDelete
  4. I kept playing that game trying to find 9 coins for a while, until I realized that there weren't 9.

    ReplyDelete
  5. the number code from the sketchbook... 31 12 24 etc. combind with the tile puzzle in the drawer spells AHEAD... not a clue what to do with it though

    ReplyDelete
  6. Other room gives the chip for the game and a grabby thingy (for under the bed?)

    ReplyDelete
  7. I can't figure out how to use the lamp or what the code for the mobile thing is. I'm also missing the robot's body.

    ReplyDelete
  8. POP, figured out the mobile thing.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The game gives the clue for the 3x3 grid which then gives another battery

    ReplyDelete
  10. Got the remote using the grabby thing under the bed and using the key on the drawers next to the desk (the two batteries go int the remote)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Remote used under the bed brings a toy car which gives a large battery

    ReplyDelete
  12. And out. I'll stick around if anyone needs help.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Saradin

    Can you change the mobile?

    ReplyDelete
  14. No, you should read the mobile from top to bottom.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi from Belgium,

Could anyone give a little help for the cupboard code ?

    THX

    ReplyDelete

  18. how to figure out the code from the colorful grids in drawer and the 31,12,24... on the floor??

    ReplyDelete
  19. Imagine lyrics: head ---> 4369?

    ReplyDelete
  20. The blue door cabinet relates to the mobile, it's one of the last things to open.

For the grid in the drawer, the star clue will tell you what the notebook code means.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Saradin

So it is left / right for each symbol on the two strings?

    I'm not getting it

    ReplyDelete
  22. Still don't understand...
Saradin can you givemore hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Each column of symbols represents a "path". The picture in the 2nd room tells you how the path should go.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah please explain more..... I'm not fluent in xmas decoration language, lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks Saradin!

How silly of me. This key role of the floor and the drawer deel puzzle is to get to another room. Colocamoslas only letters .. lol
    Thank you again!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I understand the painting in the room but I can't follow a path in that order on the mobile nor can we move them, so what the hell are we reading?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I closed the game, so I don't quite remember how the picture looked... But let's say the mobile looks like:

    Bell
    Tree
    Snowflake
    Ornament
    Bell

Start at the bell, go to the tree, and so on.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So we are drawing out numbers?

    I may have a 7 and a 6 but then I just get W or lightening bolts

    ReplyDelete
  29. Do you mean we have to turn them in left and rights for the lamp buttons? Cos that's alot of buttons!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I give up - really! This is just getting pathetic now.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The lamp comes once you put the head on the robot.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And are you reading the mobile downward? Don't read it across. (You should get 4 numbers to input into the blue cabinet)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't even know what I'm reading.... this is stupid!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. never mind got it.... all you had to say was read it like number shapes and use the pic in the other room as a guide

    ReplyDelete
  35. OMG!!! I thought I was out Grrr... now stuck with a friggen ladder and buttons on the wall like the game we played earlier

    ReplyDelete
  36. Now my robot flew around and smashed a whole in the wall and flew away... WTF!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. OUTTT!! And it was a stupid game!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ok got the ladder, put it up against the bed and got a movie that showed how to do the video game that I'd already done. No more items left and stuck. Any clues for next step or the picture with shapes between the 2 doors?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ok the Ipad movie is the clue for the button puzzle in 3rd room.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ok the robot flew through the wall, but I'm still not out - what am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't get the hint for the lamp... my robot tells me: SPOILER but that doesn't work :(

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ugh - take the ladder back and use on hole in wall.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sabine, push the round button in the middle when you are done with the r/l buttons.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Can you help me with the number of the blue door?

And what is the long hand?

    ReplyDelete
  45. which round button, Jessica? I only have the two round left/right buttons and the arrow button in the middle...

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Amelia: look under the bed... push away the presents, there is a hole in the wall... use the long hand for getting the key... and which number do you mean? the letters at the door?

    ReplyDelete
  47. oh... maybe you mean the cb-door... in the second room is a picture with snowman, tree, bell aso... and the mobile in the first room tells you to follow the symbols in each row (from up to down) to get 4 numbers (draw a line)

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Sabine
    No, the unit door.
I do not understand numbers in the Christmas decorations: (

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Jessica... are you still here? pls.. my question at 12/14/12 12:42 AM ... :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ Sabine thank you very much!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I get a 3-digit code (145) which obviously is wrong.
How did you get a 4-digit code from the ornaments?

    ReplyDelete
  52. I do not understand this game at all. I cannot figure out how to play the game inside the game-boy thing. I cannot jump or get past the baddies to get the coins and all i can do is go to the end of the path. This one is going to need a very detailed walkthrough.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Tarisa: because there are 4 rows ;-) if you need it, use my spoiler at 12/14/12 12:51 AM

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Chris: use your mouse to click the arrow buttons to move and the right upper button to jump and the lower button to use your item after you got it (first you have to go til the end, then up the ladder and back to the left... then jump like supermario against the block

    ReplyDelete
  55. I have to go now... maybe someone will leave me a hint for the lamp... I asked somewhat at 12/14/12 12:42 AM .... pleazzzzzzzzzzzzz :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. @sabine: the left side of the picture is "snowflake, snowman, bell". In the first column of the mobile, the snowflake is 1st, the snowman is 4th, and the bell is 5th. Similarly, the right side of the picture corresponds to the last column of the mobile which also gives 1-4-5.

Your spoiler at 12:51 just says SPOILER and I cannot mouse over it for the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Can someone please spoil the 4-digit code and explain why?

    ReplyDelete
  58. I wrote down where the pictures where on the picture in the second room.

Then each of the strings on the mobile is a number. Trace the symbols downwards to make the numbers

    SPOILER 2605 SPOILER

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm back... but nobody helped me meanwhile? :(

    ReplyDelete
  60. ok the lamp

Click on the robot. Its eyes will light up and give a sequence.

Click the left and right circles that correspond to L and R
Then click the triangle. The lights will then flash in sequence and a key will come out.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thank you @escapeartist. I can usually figure out the patterns but this one had me stumped.

@sabine: I will try to catch up and se if I can help you.

    ReplyDelete
  62. OK Im out
Ill hang round and help until sabine and tarisa are out too.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The robot gives

    SPOILERlrrlrlSPOILER

    ReplyDelete
  64. OMG... thank you @escapeartist... I always clicked the arrow button after each time I clicked at a left or right button... I thought the lamps have to light up after each click... LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. sorry I still cannot understand how to get the code 2605
    can anyone give me an illustration for this? ;_;

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lottie read my previous post about this

Write down where the symbols are (six) from the second room

Then look at the mobile. Each string in sequence is a number.

Draw a line from the first symbol on the first string to the second symbol on the first string but on the six symbols from the frame in the second room.

    The first string makes 2

    ReplyDelete
  67. GREAT THANKS escapeartist!
Just like some color lines on the paint in 2nd room.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I really must be brain dead! I just figured out how to get the 4-digit clue for the blue cabinet.
Use the order of the ornaments on each column from the mobile to trace the number on the painting.
(I was doing the opposite which made no sense).

Example: Column one from mobile (from top to bottom)is: snowflake, bow, tree, snowman, bell, and ball.
Play "connect the dots" with the icons on the painting in that order and you get the number "2".

    (1)snowflake bow(2)
    (4)snowman tree(3)
    (5)bell ball(6)

Now I'm stuck with a ladder and no clue how to open the up/down/left/right/circle/square cabinet.

    ReplyDelete
  69. beautiful end sequence with santa in the end...
    very nice x-mas game =)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Spot the person who hasnt been refreshing their screen lol.

The ladder - put it on the bunk so you can reach the top bed.

Look under the pillow for the Ipad.

    Watch the scene

Take note of where the character goes and which buttons you would have had to push if you were playing the game again.

Apply those to the third room's middle picture

    ReplyDelete
  71. Used ladder on bed and got video game from under the pillow.

Thank you @escapeartist for sticking around. Hopefully, I am almost out.

    ReplyDelete
  72. @Tarisa: use the ladder at the bed, climb up and look under the cushion... use the i-pad hint for the shape puzzle

    ReplyDelete
  73. ops... I was too late ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Great to see you are out sabine.

Yes tarisa, you are nearly there.

I really hate it when others are playing at the same time as me, dont leave enough clues and then just go "out" instead of helping etc.

Makes the games much more enjoyable with a tiny bit of help thats for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks everybody for helping me escape!
    I'm out!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Where's the battery for the robot?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ah, found it...use remote under bed

    ReplyDelete
  78. darn i have to quit i was never good at those ds games. have fun everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  79. finally got ladder after finally beating game
    can't open shapes door
    very lonely here

    ReplyDelete
  80. btin3m, I can't open that door also:(

    ReplyDelete
  81. How did you get the ladder? I thought by opening that symbol door, wich I can't get open.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Where is the ladder, again....please share....what game?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Hi pamarina87, I think they mean the DS-game on the shelve near the door to the second room.
I've finished the game and only got the code for the 3x3 picture.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oh, stupid me, use the 'tongs' to get ladder down.

    ReplyDelete
  85. That was not an easy game. thanks for all the helps

    ReplyDelete
  86. What A TREAT!!!!
Yes, I just saw this....almost missed it, as it posted just after I finally went to bed last night and so many games were posted since then!!!! Here I go!!!!!
    TY, NEUTRAL!

    ReplyDelete
  87. OOOOPH!!! I was doing so well, until the little video game....I cannot possibly accomplish it with a mouse!!!!!! Impossible to move my mouse that fast to the buttons! Grrr...anyway...having to resort to spoilers to continue...I hope I can without finishing the little game!

    ReplyDelete
  88. I usually love Neutral games, but the mario thing was too frustrating. Giving this one a pass. Since I can't finish it I won't rate it.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Well, I just have the one battery, so the remote doesn't work yet...I don't see a spoiler for the 3X3 light puzzle whose clue comes form the game I'll never finish.....
Doesn't anyone like this game enough to do a WT of some kind???? I love Neutral games, they are always difficult, but worth the trouble..... sadly, people aren't coming back to be of any help to latecomers.....

    ReplyDelete
  90. Wow, hard game but fancy graphics!! Needed help on this one!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I think you have to beat the DS game for the code to work. I got four of the coins but not the last one, tried to brute force the last one but none of the combinations did anything. :(

    ReplyDelete
  92. You have to use the round and the square button to the right to be able to finish the game inside the game.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I was really enjoying this game until I got to the video game. This is where I get off. Too bad.
@Neutral - would you consider adding a skip option?

    ReplyDelete
  94. my robot flew off through the wall, and i'm left inside with no idea how to get out.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Can someone help with the buttons in the second room? It looks like SPOILER ru{j)rdl(stab) SPOILER but this doesn't work no matter which way I orient the board. :(

    ReplyDelete
  96. @Patricia, you need to get the ladder back.

    @mereilin, your sequence is correct.
Maybe you need to re-check? Remember jump is round and stab is square buttons.
Maybe you need only to click on the safe handle to open it after entering the sequence? It might happen.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Ohhh. safe handle. I thought that was a hinge. ._. Thanks, Edgar!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Giving up because I can't do the Mario-type game. Can't jump and move forward at same time. Too frustrated so passing on this one.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Disappointed... Sorry....
On the other hand, maybe we expect to much from our favourite developers.
They give us free game to play and enjoy, it's effort worth to us to be little less demanding.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I am lost as to how to find the ladder in the first place?

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Tallulah...Thanks so much for posting that video...I was never good at that game, but with a mouse it just seemed impossible...took me a couple of times , but did it!
@megan, the ladder is in the ceiling in the 3rd room, use the "helping hand" !

I loved the game ending..very nice!
I am afraid that with all the sad things going on in the world these days...a lot of us are a bit cranky!

Thanks @everyone for the helpful comments!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thanks @Talluhah and @a03e for the WT - finally managed to complete the video game and escape

    ReplyDelete
  103. The decoration thingy that's supposed to give a 4 digits code doesn't make sense for me, in spite of all explanations.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thank you Martin !

    ReplyDelete
  105. Did I just escape to the frozen wasteland and get abandoned there?

    Um.

    Die, I guess?

    ReplyDelete
  106. it made no sense to me. escape with Spoiler (hurts to do that) I tried to see the tips and links to the picture provided, but could not understand how to connect the lines to form number.

PS- am from brazil, my english not is very good

    ReplyDelete
  107. Loved this game! Writing walkthrough now, sorry I'm so late...

  108. Neutral-is-way-cool-walkthrough

(Not a Christmas fan at all, but this was just really fun, and not hard at all once you understand the clues)

Bear Scene: Take PINK CRAYON from toy train. Make bear jump up and down several times cause it's fun. Do the same with the presents and notice IMPORTANT CLUE on the wall; star=23. Click on the blue Gameboy (or Gamefella) and note it needs a flash card. Click on door; note you'll need some letters. Go left to

Bed Scene: Dribble the soccer ball a bit. Okay, enough of that. Look at lower bed, grab ROBOT HEAD from weird blobby chick thing, look under pillow but there's nothing there. (Up above there will be, so this counts as a CLUE.) You can't go up yet though, so get down. Under the bed you find BLUE CRAYON behind a present, and a hole in the wall behind the large present. You're going to need something long to get that key. Back out twice and go left to

Tree Scene: There's nothing in the green or yellow cabinets, nothing around the tree, and no apparent reason for the blobby drawing on the wall. Blue cabinet needs 4 numbers. There's a device that needs a C-size battery, and a book with SEVERAL IMPORTANT CLUES on the floor, and a crayon box missing three crayons. As to the clues, the train tells you what you already know, there's a crayon in there. The pixel-sprite with the pitchfork will set you straight when playing the Gamefella. The third page has numbers, underlined like the '23' with the star on the wall in the first scene. Note there is no digit larger than four. Go left to

Desk Scene: Grab CYAN CRAYON on top of sprite picture. Note that the 3x3 grid beneath it has pretty orange lights. Look down/right, open middle drawer, get BATTERY 1. Back out, look at desk, open upper right drawer for ROBOT LEGS. Look at mobile but you can't understand it yet. Notice it has six different elements in four vertical arrangements. Could be for the 4-# cabinet,eh?

Go back to the crayon box (1x right) and put in your three CRAYONS, get a KEY. Go left again, use key on right drawer of desk.

Now imagine that the 'A' is in the empty slot where it obviously belongs, and solve the grid numbers puzzle. You wrote them down, right? (3rd page of notebook) So if the star is 23, we get y=2 and x=3, so using the yx pattern 5 times, spell the appropriate word. If you can't figure it out, you won't get ahead in this game.

Go to the door in bear scene, enter word and find new room!

    Part 2 coming...

    ReplyDelete
  109. Lamps scene: Move stack of presents left of door to find GRABBER. Zoom on presents to right to find FLASH CARD. Look at lamps, notice you can enter a sequence with L/R buttons and the middle button will 'play it back' on the lights. Now look at the picture to the left. (This gave folks a lot of trouble but it's really not hard! Saradin gave adequate clues right off but nobody actually studied what she said! Since escape games are supposed to be about figuring things out and not just being told the answers, I don't have much sympathy for the above complainers.)
I at first thought I was trying to get a sequence for the lamps here. But that ain't it! What you do is, take the sequences of strings on the mobile, which are f-r-s-t-b-B (flake-ribbon-snowman-tree-bell-Bauble), r-f-b-B-t-s, b-f-r-B-b, and r-f-s-t-B-b (write them down, it's much easier), then go to the picture in the new room and trace out shapes using those 'paths'. You'll get four numbers for the blue cabinet (already spoiled above). The cabinet won't open right when you enter the numbers, which I think is the only real flaw in this game. So you can get it right and still think you have it wrong. But back out and if the numbers are right the cabinet will open, giving you a ROBOT BODY!

Next comes the other thing that folks hated. Again it's not hard, you just have to figure out what to do. Go to the Gamefella and put in the FLASH CARD (click near top). Turn it to face you again, click bottom button, and begin game.
In the game you have to follow the available path all the way to the right, using not your mouse or cursor keys but the buttons on the machine. Avoid the monsters or you have to restart! So go rurdl, grab coin! Note 3x3 grid which is lightng up! Use circle button to jump and grab ladder, go up, left (you're safe from the monster if you're in front of the ladder), up left up left and you got another coin. Now remember the picture in the notebook? If you ever played Mario you should get this one; get under box, jump, grab weapon! Now repeat your journey to the right, slaying monsters on the way (fight with square button), and get the rest of the coins. Finally, return to the right to see your 3x3 grid pattern. Leave Gamefella, go to grid pic above desk, enter pattern (1-5-6-7-8, but it might not work if you don't play the game first), get BATTERY 2.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Now you need to crawl under the bed again. Use GRIPPER to retrieve KEY 2. Go back to the desk scene and open the other locked drawer with it, see REMOTE CONTROLLER. You need to put the SMALL BATTERIES in before you can take it. When you have it in your inventory, go crawl under the bed again, as you may have noticed there's an antenna visible behind some presents in there. Use REMOTE, grab the car and take the C BATTERY out of it.

Now we get to the fun part. Go to the device on the cabinet next to the tree, put BATTERY in, add ROBOT LEGS, BODY and HEAD. Press the button on the lil dude's chest and watch his eyes. That's the sequence for the lamps. (His right eye is your left; that means the left lamp. I tried it the other way first of course.) At the end of the sequence, get DOOR KEY.

Use on door next to lamps; find to your frustration and chagrin that the game is not over. (Chagrin is an excellent word, isn't it? No I'm not French.) Now this is where you can do way too much work if you're not careful. The buttons in front of you are the buttons on the Gamefella, and the pictures seem to say you need to go back to it. You don't! Instead click on that trap door in the ceiling with your GRABBER. Get LADDER.

Return to bed; place ladder; climb up and look under pillow for some object, let's call it a GUYPAD. Click the play button, watch the sequence, then go repeat that sequence with the buttons in the hallway. (rujrdlf; j=jump, f=fight.) Get ROBOT JET-PACK!

Put JET-PACK on robot, press button, watch the fun.

Wow, a hole in the wall! Getting cold in here all of a sudden! Go grab the ladder since I forgot to tell you to do that already, and place it under hole, wriggle out and fall in the snow. Be sure to click arrows twice at the end, to find out where you've been all along.

And a happy and peaceful new year to all of you, my escapist friends.

    <:) <:) <:) <:)>

  111. That "mobile+picture" puzzle is freaking dumb and makes this game a 3-star difficulty game. That Neutral guy needs to start rating the difficulty in his games more properly.

    ReplyDelete
  112. If you can't figure it out, you won't get ahead in this game.

just had to say: this made absolutely no sense to me it would have been nice to show how to "figure it out"
