  1. Í'm already lost in this game. Doors and more doors and chambers. Found clues I can't read. Have a remote, key from oranges and a snake.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Super language barrier. Have to quit.

    ReplyDelete
  3. i agree too many numbers and doors .....im outta this one

    ReplyDelete
  4. spoiler for snake color code~SPOILERBGYPSPOILER
which opens the door to the right

  5. FANTASTIC game despite the language barrier!

    Love it just now...

Got four snakes: pink, blue, green, yellow.
    3 keys used.

    ReplyDelete
  6. @larue, thanks for the spoiler but this snake combination does not work here.

Let me see...4 snakes, 4 positions. So there are only 16 ways of putting them...I'll try to BF...

    ReplyDelete
  7. stil doesn't work. And the amount of possible combinations for some reason was 24, not 16. Hmmm...

    ReplyDelete
  8. did u click the green bar underneath?

    ReplyDelete
  9. larue, I wonder if you have to see a clue first for the 'LOCK' to work? But where and what is the clue?

    ReplyDelete
  10. ...yes I did click the green bar a zillion times.

    ReplyDelete
  11. well idk if this is the cluse but it was on a mirror to the left which is on the back of the door with the 9 jap. #'s on it

    ReplyDelete
  12. you have to go through that door and you will see it when you exit

    ReplyDelete
  13. MISSED THAT MIRROR!!

Thanks a ton larue, yes you DO need to see the clue! I had nothing changed in my combination, and it didn't work before I looked into that $%§# mirror!

    ReplyDelete
  14. 329 came from the tv, left door open with number on tree, and number on right door after you turn on heater above door

    ReplyDelete
  15. http://www.wandel.person.dk/japanese.html

might help if anyone wants to try google translator

    ReplyDelete
  16. larue how did you get a 3-digit number from the tv?

I only see the '3', and the remote is gone.
I guess the number is for the large chest behind the "snake-locked" door?

    ReplyDelete
  17. there was a remote for the tv and heater above door~i remember 1 was under the carpet
and yes it was for the chest
i'll replay to see where the other remote was

    ReplyDelete
  18. the heater remote is under the carpet in the view of 4 sliding white doors and 2 snakes on them

    ReplyDelete
  19. awww...TWO remotes? ta' much, I will find this one under the carpet! mine was in a cabinet

    ReplyDelete
  20. then you need to open the left door and you will see all 3 numbers
(1 on tv, 1 when you open left door(it's on the tree, and the 1 on door after you turn on the heater)

  22. AHH!

Have you already given the ring to that black individual in the kitchen? Well, if not, remember to do it. However, the "clue paper" makes no sense to me yet.

    ReplyDelete
  23. the locked gray door with the 5 vertical squares has a panel(?) to the right of it. that panel is the signs of the zodiac, and the poster/mirror above the guy in the other room tells what the animals are. don't know what to do with that info though. the "e" shape above the little dessert cake is serpent in the zodiac (www.kanjigraphy.com/cdkg003/cjk1g1945.html)

    ReplyDelete
  24. actually, that's not a dessert cake. don't know what it is, but it had the blue snake on top of it

    ReplyDelete
  25. sorry, put the wrong link: http://www.kanjigraphy.com/images/graphics/zodiactable.gif

    ReplyDelete
  26. wow ty for the chart Erika!
idk what to do with it though! lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. build Japanese words I guess...
by particles "encoded" by zodiac symbols...

So for example, if the word "ushine" made sense, it would be a rat - ox sequence.

    ReplyDelete
  28. sorry the other way round... 'ox - rat'

    ReplyDelete
  29. Have you all opened the safe in the cupboard with the shoes? I'm trying to catch up but it's tough with the language barrier.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh, and for the left/right orange snakes, you have to ZOOM on the clue on back of the doors; just seeing it isn't enough apparently.

    ReplyDelete
  31. hi zoz no i haven't opened that one.
i was just mentally wondering about the symbols on the 2 characters' faces, but too lazy to look it up lol

    ReplyDelete
  33. neither have i...we're missing a key, guess it's upstairs...

    ReplyDelete
  34. ooh, I just went back to check on the 329 safe and found a #5 button for the remote, to the left of the safe on the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sorry, not remote, but keypad beside door next to safe cabinet.

    ReplyDelete
  36. you're a genius zoz!!

    @Verena

yellow snake? In the bathroom I think...with the snake in the bathtub :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have found snake/colors for all numbers between 1-0 except for #8. Maybe it's in the cabinet safe?

    ReplyDelete
  38. @arbeitlooser, aw shucks, it wasn't nothin'

    ReplyDelete
  39. still, we need to GET THE POWER ON

    ReplyDelete
  40. ah ty zoz~the safe has to be open to get the 5!
gotta run for a bit! have fun!

    ReplyDelete
  41. the arrows by the tv - anyone know what they're a clue for?

    ReplyDelete
  42. If ever a game needed a save feature, this is it. Gotta go away for a bit...

    ReplyDelete
  43. "decoded" the clue paper, although it didn't bring me too much further...

    おとしだま = otoshidama = New Year's gift

    ReplyDelete
  44. @arbeitslooser

ooooh, thanks! now i see my problem is to get to the bathroom! :D

    (Verena)

    ReplyDelete
  45. yes you need to find the PINK KEY

    ReplyDelete
  46. the blue key is above 329 safe hanging from ceiling

    ReplyDelete
  47. OK. That can't be too difficult, I might just have one symbol wrong...

(I.) What's behind that wall hanging?

    --- う
    う み
    ま う
    い し
    ね ---

If we read this VERTICALLY column-by-column and "translate" this using the zodiac table on the back of the mirror, we ought to get

うま - uma - (not Ms. Thurman, but...) the Horse ( 午 )
    い - i - the Boar ( 亥 )
    ね - ne - the Rat ( 子 )

    う - u - the Hare ( 卯 )
    み - mi - the Serpent ( 巳 )
    うし - ushi - the Ox( 丑 )

(II.) If that logic worked (currently it doesn't), it would be a button sequence like horse - boar - rat - hare - serpent - ox.

But something is wrong in my thinking...

    ReplyDelete
  48. blue key opens door upstairs

    ReplyDelete
  49. AH! Blue key opens room upstairs (the one you run into when you keep running straightly upstairs) AND finally gives us the missing '8' snake!

    ReplyDelete

  65. Yes, it is Larue! Thanks! Great game and excellent hints from all of you!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. to activate the pad you need to get the safe inside the shoe cabinet open first.

  69. pink key is extremely important

    without it:

    no entrance to
    - bathroom
    - room next to bathroom
    - stairs that lead up

    ReplyDelete
  70. Well, I have been to all those places....I guess I already had the pink key...how to get the shoe safe open please?

    ReplyDelete
  71. I see comments about "instructions above", but those were deleted...and I am still missing the shoe safe key....won't anyone just give a comment on where to find it? All I have in inventory is the paper from the guy when I gave him the ring!

    ReplyDelete
  72. OK...I finally found the pixel that gave me the 5 button....you have to go from the opened chest...

    ReplyDelete
  73. I see comments about "instructions above", but those were deleted...

No they weren't, Read more thoroughly...

My "instructions above" (i. e. for the panel with japanese signs on pads) are still there, and also supposed to remain there.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Well...I guess that is all the help I'm going to get!

Everyone is gone...no more POPs coming...and I don't know what to do where to get the key for the shoe safe!

    ReplyDelete
  75. @arbeitslooser....Please tell me where this pad is, i just don't know what you are talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  76. OK...next to the door with the 5 squares...I didn't realize you can click them....my sound is off!

    ReplyDelete
  77. No wonder we're having an understanding problem...

Excuse me but this thing was SO DAMN LARGE that it's hard to overlook so I thought it's self-explanatory =D
    Anyways...

yes you will have to read my instructions ... or wait, I'll give you a nokra-fied version :P

    THINK 'PHONE KEYPAD'

    1 ° 2 ° 3
    4 ° 5 ° 6
    7 ° 8 ° 9
    0 ° * ° #

So what we'll get when translating the japanese thingamajgwhatchamacallit to something we know is ...

    4 - 6 - 2 - 7 - # - 1

    ReplyDelete
  78. @arbeitslooser is the bestest!!!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  79. That game had me thinking for over 2 hours lol
Thanks all who left hints ...and Arbeitslooser I also needed that keypad hint lol

And I was lost the whole game , it wasn't navigation just re-finding things were hard for me

    Good game :-)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Arbeit & smithers, you guys rock! Started this morning and couldn't finish it without you

    ReplyDelete
  81. thanks arbeitslooser but I think that was a fluke on my part....just got lucky

    ReplyDelete
  82. How to input the number 5? I can't understand the comment from arbeitslooser

    ReplyDelete
  83. @ Tautau

where you found the wall safe for the 3 number code zoom in and click the left side you'll find the No. 5 for the keypad

    ReplyDelete
  84. nvm, found the #5 keytop

    ReplyDelete
  85. There are 3 end. Anyone has tried?

    ReplyDelete
  86. How to input the number 5? I can't understand the comment from arbeitslooser

Uch...in order to give credit where credit is due: it's zoz who found that '5', not me! So we have to say thanks to her (and her persistence to "re-scour" the area with the chest :))

    ReplyDelete
  87. stuck, found all #'s, don't know what to do with square with japanese characters by door and how to turn power on to final keypad

    ReplyDelete
  88. An excellent game. Much thanks to arbeitslooser for his enthusiasm as well as his genius. Using the hints above, I got 'Happy End'. Anyone get others?

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'd gladly like to give that back, just1. You're no more "genius" than me. Many times it was you to give us a guiding light when a whole crowd was staring at the game like a herd of dull sheep, but had no idea how to continue.

I think everybody of us is a genius now and then :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. no entiendo los simbolos, hay alguien?

    ReplyDelete
  91. im a late starter, if someone is still here can you please tell me how to get the key for the shoe safe please
