ReplyDeleteI solved them all. Now trying to find some easy way to do it.
ReplyDeleteFor the first one, I think it has to be done in no less than 21 clicks. Click all buttons to move the green "far away from start". Then start again etc.

For the last puzzle, I have only found a way to do it in 9 clicks this far.

ReplyDeleteAn amazing thing happened to me; I applied the #1 solution to #3, by accident, and it worked! Start with 6-3-2-1-4-5-6, as Ellie did, then you have three solid color columns with no green. click 3 once, 1 twice, 2 3 times, and done in 13 clicks!
392 works if u make sure all buttons are not pushed in. When all buttons are pushed out the frame is black, then press 392 and it works!

ReplyDeleteWell, after some trial-and-error, I have at least some strategy for the first puzzle:
ReplyDeleteLet's say buttons are numbered from right to left:
1 2 3 4 5 6
To get things a little more practical, imagine 1-5 to be a semi-automatic conveyor belt, and 6 to be a key position next to the belt to put items onto.
6 "on" = there is an item on the small platform
6 "off" = there is no item on the small platform
If you have "put an item" on 6 (light on), then you can "transfer" it to one of the five zones on the belt with button 3.
Yes, button 3 is another key position. Let's call it the "distributor". DO NOT BLOCK IT. It will be the only "channel" to get the item from 6 picked up.
However, it must be free ( = black) to pick up another item. Hence, "distribute" the item picked up from 6 (now on 3) to places 1, 2, 4 or 5.
If you do block 3, it will not accept another item but you will have to distribute the item from 3 first elsewhere so that you can pick up another from 6.
Hopefully this explanation was not totally silly and far-fetched...!
At least with that little imagination, I could solve the 1st puzzle without help.
