ReplyDeleteI have two symbols, an apple and a phone. Explored the main room and two side rooms but found nothing else. Thought I could put the apple on the scales but it didn't happen!

ReplyDeleteGot it by trial and error, but can't see it again! Think it was, from handle end: top, right, bottom and left. But not sure - sorry.
ReplyDeleteAfter gazing at the diagrams endlessly it surely looks like it should be right left top bottom, but obviously it can't be because that doesn't work.

ReplyDeleteCan't remember anymore what I had for the key. But if the diagram is the same for everybody, then just start with left-right-top-bottom and if it doesn't work, move them all 1 step. If you tried all combinations, then swicth left and right and try all 4 step again.
ReplyDeleteFor the end code look at what symbols you have left and use them in arrow order and end with sun.

ReplyDeleteThanks for those hints Small-tool. I did exactly what you suggested for the key, and it took moving them all two steps to get the right combination. For the end code, my clue was to use the small numbers in arrow order first, then the sun, then the larger numbers. Out now.

ReplyDeleteYep Clodagh, it seems the key diagram is different in every game. So the hints are:
ReplyDelete1) If on one diagram two pins are at the same spot, doesn't have to mean they have to be at the same place, look at those two at the other diagram and if they are on the same spot there as well, then they are, but if not then they are opposite.
2) If you think you got the right combi and it doesn't work, move them all 1 step till it works and if it still doesn't work, move only two opposites 2 steps and then try all 4 combi's again.

if you have 3 small, the sun and then large circle, it might be 124

ReplyDeleteThe scale puzzle is not about brute/forcing. Look at, zoom in on, the right part of the scale and it shows you two parts that are missing in a circle. Those parts are the weighs/symbols you need.
ReplyDeleteWhen you got the pic of the lock, Brin3m it´s just looking at it to see how to make the key. See previous comments about that.
Mine was sun,3 large circles, 3 small circles, for any numpties like me, I started with 9 for the sun then started with the next number to the ones I used for the scale.

ReplyDeleteSide panel with bars opened and gave a battery which goes in 3rd lock. Seem to have a key from somewhere which goes in the cupboard on the other side of the room.
Gonna have to give up. Can't see most of the things you're talking about above. No scales, no apple, no diagram for key, no side rooms, nothing above keypad, no pictures... :(
