ReplyDeleteI left and came back after making dinner. I had hoped someone had figured it out. I have all the same clues as everyone else, but can't think of a 5 letter word that makes sense. I even tried things like 'right' and 'arrow' but nothing.

If you look up the event that is the subject of the escape. you will see that the leaders each at a number as part of their title. The III and VI shows which color (red or blue) was associated with which leader.
