I don't understand any of the clues.

Stuck too...
I left and came back after making dinner. I had hoped someone had figured it out. I have all the same clues as everyone else, but can't think of a 5 letter word that makes sense. I even tried things like 'right' and 'arrow' but nothing.
There are also the green diamonds in every room - 1,3,4 and 6.
I've googled a lot, also with those numbers, but with no result. Nothing makes sense.
I also tried lots of words, even WACOM ...
I give up. I'll come back later, perhaps there will be someone who gots better ideas than me, and will give some hints.
sorry I can't be around to help : the most difficult part is the beginning, it's all in the green diamonds (and the green square), Trixie is on the right track. Research is needed. I'll be back in a little less than 24 hours, sorry guys
Anagram TABLET and search for one of those that happened in 1346. Get knife
Date of 1346 event gets screwdriver (Format is DDMM)
Red safe is one participant. Get lighter. Use lighter on bookcase.
And out. The Blue Safe was tricky as the name was a little different than the name I was expecting.

In retrospect, this was a very good one.
III VI VS
What do these symbols mean and what is your number to open the safe?
If you look up the event that is the subject of the escape. you will see that the leaders each at a number as part of their title. The III and VI shows which color (red or blue) was associated with which leader.
Please write the solution :(

Cushion from armchair can now be picked up. Puts fire out but now the door handle's loose. Need screws?

Is a war percent a year between King Edward III and Philip IV between the British and France, but could not figure out your date to open the safe, I've written 200 Date all wrong, is there a known solution to open this safe?
