    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, I'm level 8 right now lol, so I'm going to resolve that. I'll be back for some beautiful hints for the last level.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Annaby,

Fun games, @Small tool. Although I'm usually no good at riddles, I'm determined to improve. These prequels are much appreciated!

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Enjoy, for level 2 - 1=1, 2=2, 3=3 etc

Level 1 was 1=1, 2=1, 3=1 etc. Now go do it....

    ReplyDelete
  59. Forgot to say.............Congrats to Rambler & Annaby & Queens & Cawulla et al :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. @Enjoy: take a look at the abacus. the shape it makes shows you the direction how to read

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Enjoy, think of the pictures as First (book) Second (lock) Third, Fourth and Fifth. Then do a variation of what you did on level 1.

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Zoran, the clue is a rebus that leads to the title of a book, the answer is the last name of the author of that book..

    ReplyDelete
  63. @zoz: think roman. you will get 3 different words.

    ReplyDelete
  64. thanks @Casual. I'll go back and try again. Meanwhile, the more hints, the merrier!

    Later Taters :D

    ReplyDelete
  76. I got #3 now! I'm beginning to feel like a riddler!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. @Rambler, I know it is rebus, but I am not good with English language. Red key make me confused.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Zoran, that's the A-key on the piano, so that's just an A.
The pic next to it is a fair.

    ReplyDelete
  79. @Zoran - try googling an image for piano keyboard notes?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Ha - seasoned player! Not with riddles! I'm on 5. The Caesar cipher isn't working for me. Clearly it's a picture of Caesar so I thought that was what I was supposed to use, but that's not it. I read the hints, but don't understand the ROT clue...

    ReplyDelete
  81. http://luthorien.altervista.org/Tools/rot.htm

    ReplyDelete
  82. And this is the site every riddler has bookmarked:

    http://luthorien.altervista.org/Tools/

    ReplyDelete
  83. on 7 I know what I am suppose to do, but my eyesight isn't as good as it use to be. having problems determining which letters are in a different type. The only one I know for sure is "Y"

    ReplyDelete
  84. But make sure you change the background on Red Luth using the top left option lol

    ReplyDelete
  85. oh Pop.. I found some more and guessed on 7

    ReplyDelete
  86. @Enjoy, use control and your mouse wheel to zoom in to the letters, it should be clearer.

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Solved, but I needed some hints for lvls 7-9. Thank you Small-Tool, I really enjoyed it! Can't wait for more!

    ReplyDelete
  88. thanks s-t. It wasn't shift+4, which is what Wikipedia said.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Lol Zoe, on riddles always look for all kind of hints everywhere.
Part of the text here was: the key to understand it is the level you're on
And it was level 5, so shift 5 :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. a little more push on level 9. I have all the titles but nothing is working. Picking letters, googling. I obviously am missing something

    ReplyDelete
  91. EnJoy,
One of the things you have learned in Prequel 1 is First things First.
You have 8 tittles and the answer is an 8 letter word.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I tried that small-tool. bbbhetth are the first letters to the title of each page. what am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  93. @Enjoy,
    1=1, 2=1, 3=1....

Get it and lick you lips lol

    ReplyDelete
  94. @Enjoy, The TITLES, not the answers...

    ReplyDelete
  95. Thank you Rambler for the help. Great as always small-tool and Jon. Obviously my riddle skills are a little rusty!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Yay!!

    Well done Joyce \O/ \O/ \O/

    ReplyDelete
  97. I see small-tool. I'm beginning to see that there is a LOT of thinking outside the box without over-thinking things!! lol!

  115. Level 1
"first things first" Name each object and take first letters. Book, Lock, Abacus, Church, Kingdom =black

    Level 2
Use the same words, but pick the first, second, third and so on for letters. Book, lOck, abAcus, chuRch, kingDom = board

    Level 3
    1+2=3. answer 1 + answer 2 = level 3 answer black + board=blackboard

    Level 4
For this rebus level, say what you see, The key of A, fair, well, 2, arms. A Farewell to Arms. Now title tells you what you need. Author = hemingway

    Level 5

The title "Feeling ROTten" and the picture of Caesar point you to the Caesar cipher also known as ROT. Decipher "kmzqdjpn vinrzm admno ivhz" to ROT 5, to get "previous answer first name" previous answer was hemingway, so ernest is the answer

    Level 6
The title says "Odd letters" use the text below the picture and pick only odd numbered letters. tumbleweed

    Level 7
"Odd letters again" Use the word odd in another sense. Some letters are in a different font, use them to spell the answer. Three, altHough, maIn, Right on the left hand side and Sadly, freakY on the right. answer is thirsty

    Level 8
Keep it simple on this level. Just convert each number to a letter. 8=h, 21=u, 14=n, 7=g, 18=r, 25=y. hungry

    Level 9
To play riddles, note taking is often important. The level "Title" and the numbers point you to previous level titles, take first letters for each one.
    First
    A different method
    Sum
    The author
    Feeling rotten
    Odd letters
    Odd letters again
    Don't overthink

    fastfood

    Hope you have fun playing!

  116. it is say that the website is frozen pls fix it

    ReplyDelete
  117. Abraxxass
the WEBS platform where the riddle is created, does that after some time when an account remains unused
only ST can unfreeze this site by contacting WEBS
you can get in touch with him by clicking his nick & the email link in his profile
or you can tell me to do it for you, as we are about to update all broken links on EG24 - a huge task that will take a pretty long time, I suppose...
    «now make your choice» - mwahahahahah!
