ReplyDeleteLol Annaby :)
ReplyDeleteoops! i got the solution for lvl 5 by accident. but i still don't get how it's connected to the given hint :)
ReplyDeleteI could use a small hint on 3.....
ReplyDelete@dimwit - 1 + 2 = 3, so try combining some answers
ReplyDeleteHINT: what 2 things do you have that you can SUM together for LEVEL 3?????
ReplyDelete@queenasryche: look at the previous solutions (one and two).
ReplyDeleteoops, i thought your were asking for help queenasryche :)
ReplyDeleteThanks...
ReplyDeleteHey, hey, hey - part 2
ReplyDeleteJust starting....
darn, hoped I could do this without help but I need a hint for level 7
ReplyDeletestill no idea why xxxxxt is the solution for lvl 5.
ReplyDeletenot getting any further on lvl 6 as well.
tried several approaches: rotated, mirrored, capital and/or duplicate letters...
i even tried something with a music band named after a district in berlin. not getting anywhere so far :(
@Casual - level 5 - the pic has the hint ROTten - ROT is a cipher
ReplyDeletei need some help on 5
ReplyDeletelevel 6 - you're picking odd letters ...
ReplyDelete@Casual, ignore the letters and concentrate on the text below them.
ReplyDelete@annaby, look carefully at the letters, there are different type fonts in there...
Hmm, I've come to a crashing halt on level 8 lol
ReplyDeleteThanks @Rambler - I looked at that once but obviously not close enough :)
ReplyDeleteZoomed through the first 6 but like Annaby came to a screeching halt on 7, so I also need a further hint there.
ReplyDeleteLevel 7: Look for a different TYPE of letter
ReplyDeleteLevel 8: Basic Riddling here guys easy as ABC 123
LOL, just got level 8 :D
ReplyDeleteLOL - guess I have to break down and go clean my glasses to find all the letters on level 7!
ReplyDelete@annaby, have a drink while you're at it ;)
ReplyDeleteI only see 4 letters for level 7, can you tell me how many I should find?
ReplyDeleteLevel 7: Theres a new SERIF in town :P
ReplyDeleteHmm, level 9 is a puzzler!
ReplyDeleteThe addition makes a nine letter word, but that's no good...
7 letters on level 7
ReplyDeleteNevermind,I guessed the word, ty for the hint.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ queensryche
ReplyDeleteWhat's the starting point for level 9 ?
Level 9 says 1-8 =9 same concept as level 3
ReplyDeleteEh!
ReplyDeleteThat was fun!! I needed hints for 7 & 8, but did the rest by myself. Thanks Small-Tool and thanks for the help guys!
ReplyDeletefinally got 7 :)
ReplyDeleteWell done annaby, now hurry and help on level 9. Don't be fazed by level 8, see queeny's hint above...ABC...
ReplyDeleteCongrats @ Cee Bee
ReplyDelete\O/ \O/ \O/
8 was easy, but adding as for level 3 doesn't make sense for 9
ReplyDeleteI finished THIS Riddle, there you go SMALL, now its OFFICIAL, Loved it BTW :P
ReplyDeleteLol, ok Queen :P
ReplyDeleteCongrats CeeBee and Queen :)
Thanks for playing.
To answer annaby: " level 3 doesn't make sense for 9" I was saying the way you got answer for 3 was using level 1 and 2, same method for LEVEL 9 except using Levels 1-8 :P
ReplyDeletelol, i'm still struggling with lvl 6.
ReplyDelete"odd" like "strange" or "odd" like "impair"?
My fried Cawulla also OFFICIALLY finished this Riddle :P so thank her to Small :P
ReplyDeleteLOL MY FRIED edit : My friend
ReplyDelete@Casual, "odd" as in every other one starting at letter 1
ReplyDeletecasual: ODD like EVEN and ODD
ReplyDeletestill don't get 9 (I'm not much of a riddler!). For 3, I added answers 1 & 2 - how does that method work for 9?
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm level 8 right now lol, so I'm going to resolve that. I'll be back for some beautiful hints for the last level.
ReplyDeleteAnnaby,
ReplyDeleteThe title on 9 is a hint too.
What a great riddle from SmallTool, Same time tomorrow?
ReplyDeletethanks for the help!
ReplyDeletebuuuuut....i still don't get it :D
so if i understand you correctly, "A" would be an odd letter. just like C and E. and for instance "X" or "Z" are even letters, right?
Congrats LinR and 'fried' Cawulla and thanks for playing :)
ReplyDeleteYep, should be about the same time tomorrow.
Level 9 :TITLES are Important use 1-8 to get answer for 9
ReplyDelete@casual: Odd = everyother example OdDlEtTeRs= ODETR
ReplyDelete@casual - pick every other letter in the clue above the answer box
ReplyDeleteFinished:D
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff s-t
Bring on part 3....
aaaaaaaahhhhh, finally got it!
ReplyDeleteand yes, i'm proud of myself ;)
thanks guys
At last - done! Thanks @queens
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks S-T - that was a lot of fun
(and I still won't be ready for the real deal) :D
Congrats and thanks for playing Rambler and Annaby :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Small and Jon for another fun riddle! Looking forward to Friday!
ReplyDelete@Casual: Well Done! It's a nice feeling when a light bulb goes on isn't it? My fuses are sometimes blown as well as having burned out light bulbs............. I often grope around in the dark and need infa-red glasses ..............LOL!!
ReplyDeletesee you all tomorrow - same time, same place :D
ReplyDeleteargh... I obviously the only one stuck on level 2!
ReplyDeletewell, I finished this one with no problems, but I could never get Level 5 on the first prequel (yesterday). I know it must be right in front of me, but all I get is mucc cucuc mud. Can anyone help me?
ReplyDeleteFun games, @Small tool. Although I'm usually no good at riddles, I'm determined to improve. These prequels are much appreciated!
Stack on lvl 4
ReplyDelete@Enjoy, for level 2 - 1=1, 2=2, 3=3 etc
ReplyDeleteLevel 1 was 1=1, 2=1, 3=1 etc. Now go do it....
Forgot to say.............Congrats to Rambler & Annaby & Queens & Cawulla et al :)
ReplyDelete@Enjoy: take a look at the abacus. the shape it makes shows you the direction how to read
ReplyDelete@Enjoy, think of the pictures as First (book) Second (lock) Third, Fourth and Fifth. Then do a variation of what you did on level 1.
ReplyDelete@Zoran, the clue is a rebus that leads to the title of a book, the answer is the last name of the author of that book..
ReplyDelete@zoz: think roman. you will get 3 different words.
ReplyDeletethanks @Casual. I'll go back and try again. Meanwhile, the more hints, the merrier!
ReplyDeleteLet's try, maybe I learn a lot this time as well :)
ReplyDeleteI thought I tried that... probably made a mistake..
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I obviously cant count. Moving on
ReplyDelete@Casual, that's just what I needed; Thank You! And yes, it was right in front of me. Amazing how dense I can be, lol.
ReplyDeletepfew, finally out. thanks small-tool (and everyone who helped).
ReplyDeletecu tomorrow
My brain is black-out. lvl4. I give-up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats and thanks for playing Donas, Zoz and Casual :)
ReplyDeleteYay @ Casual, well done.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to play some other stuff and watch football now, I'll check back in while to see if anyone needs help.
just started. Got 1 and 2 right away!
ReplyDelete@Zoran, see my hint at 11.02 above...
ReplyDelete@Zoe, a seasoned player like you should get through this okay, if not, there are plenty of hints above..
ReplyDeleteLater Taters :D
I got #3 now! I'm beginning to feel like a riddler!!
ReplyDelete@Rambler, I know it is rebus, but I am not good with English language. Red key make me confused.
ReplyDeleteZoran, that's the A-key on the piano, so that's just an A.
ReplyDeleteThe pic next to it is a fair.
@Zoran - try googling an image for piano keyboard notes?
ReplyDeleteahhhh, too slow! :)
ReplyDelete@Rambler, thanks
ReplyDeleteHa - seasoned player! Not with riddles! I'm on 5. The Caesar cipher isn't working for me. Clearly it's a picture of Caesar so I thought that was what I was supposed to use, but that's not it. I read the hints, but don't understand the ROT clue...
ReplyDeletehttp://luthorien.altervista.org/Tools/rot.htm
ReplyDeleteAnd this is the site every riddler has bookmarked:
ReplyDeletehttp://luthorien.altervista.org/Tools/
on 7 I know what I am suppose to do, but my eyesight isn't as good as it use to be. having problems determining which letters are in a different type. The only one I know for sure is "Y"
ReplyDeleteBut make sure you change the background on Red Luth using the top left option lol
ReplyDeleteoh Pop.. I found some more and guessed on 7
ReplyDelete@Enjoy, use control and your mouse wheel to zoom in to the letters, it should be clearer.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Ahh, well done...
ReplyDeleteSolved, but I needed some hints for lvls 7-9. Thank you Small-Tool, I really enjoyed it! Can't wait for more!
ReplyDeleteCongrats @ Mako :D
ReplyDeletethanks s-t. It wasn't shift+4, which is what Wikipedia said.
ReplyDeleteLol Zoe, on riddles always look for all kind of hints everywhere.
ReplyDeletePart of the text here was: the key to understand it is the level you're on
And it was level 5, so shift 5 :)
a little more push on level 9. I have all the titles but nothing is working. Picking letters, googling. I obviously am missing something
ReplyDeleteEnJoy,
ReplyDeleteOne of the things you have learned in Prequel 1 is First things First.
You have 8 tittles and the answer is an 8 letter word.
I tried that small-tool. bbbhetth are the first letters to the title of each page. what am I missing?
ReplyDelete@Enjoy,
ReplyDelete1=1, 2=1, 3=1....
Get it and lick you lips lol
@Enjoy, The TITLES, not the answers...
ReplyDeleteThank you Rambler for the help. Great as always small-tool and Jon. Obviously my riddle skills are a little rusty!
ReplyDeleteYay!!
ReplyDeleteWell done Joyce \O/ \O/ \O/
I see small-tool. I'm beginning to see that there is a LOT of thinking outside the box without over-thinking things!! lol!
ReplyDeleteFiniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish. OLE. Thanks @Rambler
ReplyDeleteWell done Zoran, always glad to help, god knows I need it plenty of times lol
ReplyDelete\O/ \O/ \O/
Congrats and thanks for playing Mako, EnJoy and Zoran :)

ReplyDeleteHi ! thank you small-tool gor the 2nd game !
ReplyDeletecan i have a hint on 6 please ? i know what odd is about (i guess)
Joe,
ReplyDeleteIt's a 7 letter word (no anagram if you go from top to bottom and then again from top to bottom on the second letter).
You got some of them correct.
T..R..Y

ReplyDeleteThank you for prequel 2 small. More difficult this time, but great fun.
ReplyDeleteI can't get 6. I think I may bow out since everybody is gone. Grats to ST for the game. My brain is fried from Zumba class tonight. I can't puzzle my way through. lol
ReplyDeleteMille, There is even and there is odd. There are Letters and there are letters.

ReplyDeleteLevel 1
ReplyDelete"first things first" Name each object and take first letters. Book, Lock, Abacus, Church, Kingdom =black
Level 2
Use the same words, but pick the first, second, third and so on for letters. Book, lOck, abAcus, chuRch, kingDom = board
Level 3
1+2=3. answer 1 + answer 2 = level 3 answer black + board=blackboard
Level 4
For this rebus level, say what you see, The key of A, fair, well, 2, arms. A Farewell to Arms. Now title tells you what you need. Author = hemingway
Level 5
The title "Feeling ROTten" and the picture of Caesar point you to the Caesar cipher also known as ROT. Decipher "kmzqdjpn vinrzm admno ivhz" to ROT 5, to get "previous answer first name" previous answer was hemingway, so ernest is the answer
Level 6
The title says "Odd letters" use the text below the picture and pick only odd numbered letters. tumbleweed
Level 7
"Odd letters again" Use the word odd in another sense. Some letters are in a different font, use them to spell the answer. Three, altHough, maIn, Right on the left hand side and Sadly, freakY on the right. answer is thirsty
Level 8
Keep it simple on this level. Just convert each number to a letter. 8=h, 21=u, 14=n, 7=g, 18=r, 25=y. hungry
Level 9
To play riddles, note taking is often important. The level "Title" and the numbers point you to previous level titles, take first letters for each one.
First
A different method
Sum
The author
Feeling rotten
Odd letters
Odd letters again
Don't overthink
fastfood
Hope you have fun playing!
it is say that the website is frozen pls fix it
ReplyDeletesite is frozen :(
ReplyDeleteAbraxxass
ReplyDeletethe WEBS platform where the riddle is created, does that after some time when an account remains unused
only ST can unfreeze this site by contacting WEBS
you can get in touch with him by clicking his nick & the email link in his profile
or you can tell me to do it for you, as we are about to update all broken links on EG24 - a huge task that will take a pretty long time, I suppose...
«now make your choice» - mwahahahahah!
