    ReplyDelete
  7. Casual, what is he doing?

    ReplyDelete
  8. oh gosh, I am still working through the second prequel... am I ready for this one?

    ReplyDelete
  9. casual gave a good hint above

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jo-Ann, how could the text give colors?

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Donas, look carefully at the order of the words in the text. I've got the colors, but I'm still stuck on 1.

    ReplyDelete
  12. oops, Donas was giving a hint, not asking for help. FAIL.

    ReplyDelete
  13. just count the books does the number ring any bells

    ReplyDelete
  14. I have finished the first three prequels later when they weren't live anymore, and I must admit that there were only few levels I could solve on my own. But I have some minutes left to give this a try now, though I won't be helpful - of course stuck in level 1 (I got the colours but don't know what to do with them).

And small-tool and jonthewatch, excellent work. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  15. thanks @Donas727. I have the lower part and trying to find out what the upper part (horse, pony) is about

    ReplyDelete
  16. meritneith 4 colours 4 rows

    ReplyDelete
  17. Casual, it isn't a whole horse, is it?

    ReplyDelete
  18. pony need the thing that swishes at the back

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ok....I got a fresh piece of paper and ready to go!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hello everybody. Again Nightmare :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. duh! i just read that a few month ago. thanks

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh DUH!!! I see it now! lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. Zoran, the nightmare starts tomorrow! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Cool ending Level Small very clever ;)
    Love the RAP Reward :P

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ah, for level one you have to count all the books, not just how many of each color...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh, a new technique! I was writing an answer to mtatt100 what I got and what problems I still had, and suddenly that one thing I hadn't tried flashed into my muddy brain. Voilá! Thanks mtatt.

    ReplyDelete
  27. still stuck on 1. 4 colors, 4 shelves, The number of each color of books makes no sense...what am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Zoe, you should have 1 and 21 on the first shelf. Find a way to convert them :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. hmmm, stuck on level 2 now. I see the similarities, trying to figure out what to do with them...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Got level 2 on my own, busting with pride!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jo-Ann, do as you are told. Read every picture loud. Four words.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jo-Ann, just do what the title says, each should give a letter

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ooops! meant level 3! THe answer is on the table.

    ReplyDelete
  34. on level 2, there may be more than one way to represent a given letter...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jo-Ann, what table is often used in riddles? Look at your answers for a similarity, then the table

    ReplyDelete
  36. meritneith - I got #2 on my own too!! I know how you feel - lol!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh, Jo-Ann, that is where I'm stuck too.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Congrats for finishing Queen!

    ReplyDelete
  39. lvl 1 gone. Yupiiiiiiiiiiiii

    ReplyDelete
  40. meritneith, sometimes answers are elemental ;)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I thought I was being insulted on level 5, but then I saw the picture on level 6, lol!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Puff, pant, puff pant, frantically trying to catch up :D

    I'm stuck on 6 now :(

    ReplyDelete
  43. LO @zoz, it's a bit creepy to be sure....

    ReplyDelete
  44. Just joining - hello everyone :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hmmm...level 4 is not who I thought it was. The surname of the author that I think it is does not work.

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Zoe, he's one of the most famous British authors...

    ReplyDelete
  47. Zoe, remember, no capital letters

    ReplyDelete
  48. hi annaby - welcome to the torture chamber - lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Donas - DUH!!!
    silly me...

    ReplyDelete
  50. Rambler, the last bit of text should help for level 6

    ReplyDelete
  51. is lvl 6 about arranging the nutritions in a certain order?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ha! I thought the answer to #5 was strange, until I saw #6. Lol small-tool and jon. Funny!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. still struggling with 6. I thought the periodic table would help, but Noooo.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Funny tidbit. I made some homemade sauerkraut this morning!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Donas your hint at 10:23 was perfect! thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  56. For level 6, read the title and the last bit of text

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks @Donas, got 6 now :D

    ReplyDelete
  58. lvl 2 stuck pleaseeeeeeeee

    ReplyDelete
  59. Zoran - say things out loud. For instance the first picture is of the sea - what letter of the alphabet is that?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Zoran, name each picture to get a letter, the first is "sea" so letter C, for the next letter, who is it pointing to?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Level 7 - I see the mistakes, but the corrected letters don't make up a word...missing something.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh, time for food, back soon. Hopefully I'll finish and then be able to help...

    ReplyDelete
  63. Zoe, you are right the correct letters don't work, what else do you have?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Had a phone call... Thank you donas! On to 4.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Donas - the wrong ones!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. ROFL - didn't believe my answer for level 2 would work - and now I see why it did!

    ReplyDelete
  68. oh no, level 5 reading music! Ackkkk! I tried one site and got gibberish. Will have to try another site.

    ReplyDelete
  69. LOL, Annaby, wait until you see level 6, it took Small-tool hours to get that make up on!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Doh! Treble clef not the other one! Onwards!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hi ! starting ...
thank you small-tool and Jon (was waiting for this !!)

    ReplyDelete
  72. LOL @JoAnn! Remember that you said that later!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Donas - I HAVE to ask - is that really small-tool???

    ReplyDelete
  74. In level 4, does the second picture mean a horse or its tail?

Have seen the hints for level 5 and 6, music should be easy for me.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm trailing way behind here, but I want to say to small-tool, thanks for the edutainment! :)

And if you find time, could you post a link to the pic for Pt. 1 #6? I wasn't able to finish it. In the middle of pt. 3 now...

I'm finding 3 easier than the first two! Depends on your predilections, i guess...

    ReplyDelete
  76. Because I googled images for "cabbage face" and don't see that pic anywhere....hmmmm....

    ReplyDelete
  77. @zoz - Great hint for Jo-Ann!! lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm stumped on 7. I thouht it was binary, but nope.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Meritneith, for level 4 its tail.

    ReplyDelete
  80. @Zoe, I just exhausted the binary route too.

    ReplyDelete
  81. level 8, it is binary, don't get dizzy reading it!

    ReplyDelete
  82. @Zoe, maybe binary but somehow twirling to ghet the code? Oh I hope not!

    ReplyDelete
  83. can you please give me the letter for the golf ball pic on 2 ?

    ReplyDelete
  84. @new, when I play golf I tee the ball up..

    ReplyDelete
  85. @Donas - LOL - Small's make-up is great!

    ReplyDelete
  86. New, what is the golf ball sitting on?

    ReplyDelete
  87. @New, the golf ball is on a golf ?

    ReplyDelete
  88. hello :) Just joined the everyday dose of torture :) so nice :)
    already stuck on lvl 2
I understand clues but have a problem with the picture of a golf ball - how to say it to spell a letter? nothing comes to my mind of not English-mother-tongue-person :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. what? @Donas do you mean we have to do a binary translation of the numbers starting in the middle and spiraling out? Please say it ain't so!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Rambler EGTwentyFour thanks a lot!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Zoz, don't start in the center, follow the swirl from top left

    ReplyDelete
  92. just1, here is the pic for Prequel 1, level 6

    http://imgur.com/weD5Eaf

    ReplyDelete
  93. feeling silly... stuck on level 1. Each shelf has 26 books. picked colors, then A=1 etc. Not making any words.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Enjoy, you need only one color on each shelf, 8 letters

    ReplyDelete
  95. oh will try thank you donas

    ReplyDelete
  96. Not getting level 6 at all :-(

Tried putting them in numerical order, with or without converting units, but nothing is making sense.

    ReplyDelete
  97. EnJoy - I was really stuck on 1 too. Look at where each colored book is on the shelf. The first is green, so where is each green book? Then think: A=1, B=2, etc...

    ReplyDelete
  98. getting some progress by starting at the outside and working my way in. But I'm about to go cross-eyed!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Again. lvl 6 pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    ReplyDelete
  100. puzzled - you're overthinking! It's not "first things first" - it's a twist on that - "last things last" is a better clue.

    ReplyDelete
  101. puzzled, sometimes first letters work, sometimes it's last

    ReplyDelete
  102. duh, thank you Donas. It was pretty obvious once I looked in the right spot.

    ReplyDelete
  103. @zoz - What are you doing? Is the first letter "a"?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Level 7 - "follow the swirl from the top left" - Huh???
I need further help. Blame the Guiness I had for lunch :D

    ReplyDelete
  105. Annaby, maybe another Guiness will help! start in the top left and read around to the middle

    ReplyDelete
  106. I think I'm getting 7 now...just taking a long time...

    ReplyDelete
  107. Thank you Donas for pic! At first I thought the blank square was the clue, since it's about blindness! Then I read the comments...

    ReplyDelete
  108. I got levels 5 to 8 on my own (I used to play piano so 5 was the easiest ever), and I have the question from level 9 but I do not get the right answer!

    ReplyDelete
  109. @Donas, what do you mean "around to the middle"?????

    ReplyDelete
  110. oh crap - I messed up somewhere in the middle ...

    ReplyDelete
  111. Zoran, write those numbers down on paper and go clockwise like that swirl, mark those you have written down. Remember, binary alphabet codes always have eight numbers, you will get eight letters.

    ReplyDelete
  112. meritneith, google may help

    ReplyDelete
  113. stuck at lvl 7, I've got 5 letters, cannot make a word

    ReplyDelete
  114. annaby - me too. I wrote them down and then got messed up. I only have 6 letters. I'm not sure I'm up for this one....maybe later.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Mako, level 7 needs 6 letters

    ReplyDelete
  116. @meritneith, I am talking about lvl 7. Thanks for the next lvl tho :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. Zoran, the "around to the middle" hint is for level 8, for level 7, find 6 mistakes

    ReplyDelete
  118. Zoran, not always it's good to barge in, sorry! ;-)

And Donas, google doesn't help when I type in that question.

    ReplyDelete
  119. LOL, complete confusion for Zoran...

    ReplyDelete
  120. meritneith, the maze leads to many "red herrings" Are you sure you have the right question?

    ReplyDelete
  121. meritneith, also try looking at the maze to answer your question

    ReplyDelete
  122. I think so, when I go in at the left side and follow that path I get out the right side.

I don't want to post that question here but some of my wrong answers were starttoend, beginningtoend, lefttoright. Would they make sense to the correct question?

    ReplyDelete
  123. omg I shloud buy glasses I guess, I swear I read that poem every letter by letter two hundred times.. :) but finnaly into lvl 8 :)

    ReplyDelete
  124. If you have the right question, answer it with a letter to a letter

    ReplyDelete
  125. By the way, those red herrings are so well done, you should read them also!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Finally got the word for 8 after driving myself insane. Is that a real word??? Anyway, on to 9. I think I'm going to join annaby - Guinness sounds like the word in 8 right about now!

    ReplyDelete
  127. with your hints lvl 8 was simple, thans!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Damn! Thank you so much, Donas, that was sneaky. More than sneaky. Before that I tried things like alphatoomega... ;-)

small-tool, great game again! I hope I can drop in tomorrow for a live walk, although I won't be able to help anyone. Thank you a thousand times!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Lol Zoe, it is a real word, leave it to Small-tool to find one so obscure!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Congrats meritneith! well done :) thanks for playing! (Small-tool, couldn't be here today)

    ReplyDelete
  131. Stuck lvl 1 I read the whole thread on this level, but I can not understand it, there are repeated colors, someone help me?

    ReplyDelete
  132. And thanks to all you guys who asked and answered in the first three prequels and helped me to get through although they weren't live.

    ReplyDelete
  133. pichi, first find the color hints (caps) in the text. Then use those colors on each level. First is green, 1st and 21st books. 1=A, 21=U

    ReplyDelete
  134. stuck on level 8. Binary doesn't work. Help please

    ReplyDelete
  135. So...on 9 I got through the maze, but don't know the answer. Any help? I've read the above, but there's not many hints for 9 yet. I don't understand what "follow a letter to a letter" means.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Morgana, meritneith gave a very good hint at 11:37

    ReplyDelete
  137. Morgana, don't read the codes in rows but in a swirl. You should write them down so you can mark the pattern.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Zoe, on what letter did you start? end?

    ReplyDelete
  139. Morgana - Binary DOES work. Start at the very top left and follow all the numbers in a swirl - like the black swirl. It helps if you re-create the numbers on a paper and cross them off as you write down each set of 8 binary numbers. It took me a very long time to get this one!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Zoe, you start at a letter, you end at a letter. Beware that and read my false answers as some hints to to put the correct letters together.

But that is just another hint, not the final answer. Use your chemical knowledge (basics will be enough, not hard)...

    ReplyDelete
  141. Donas - I started on "H" and ended on "O"

    ReplyDelete
  142. God, I feel so smart right now. Leave me to that until tomorrow, I'll be humble soon enough! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  143. meritneith- yes, I'm tryng easttowest, northtosouth and other directions...and I saw your 'false' answers too. I feel like it's just on the tip of my tongue, but no light bulb yet!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Zoe, right, you went from "H to O"

    ReplyDelete
  145. damn that swirling binary! my word started out great but ended in "fugl". One more try...

    ReplyDelete
  146. OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT. Thanks to everyone. Nightmare begins now.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Well, westtoeast would have been a better trial, but nope..

    ReplyDelete
  148. Zoe, you're close to the end as Donas affirmed. Cry out loud!

    ReplyDelete
  149. Got 8 thanks to the hints. But stuck on 9. See only one logical question. And my answer is yes

    ReplyDelete
  150. H to O. I feel silly not getting it. I tried hijklmno, and ijklmn. I tried "hello", since it starts and ends in those letters.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Out now, thank you all and especially the authors :)

    ReplyDelete
  152. @Zoe let's drink something cold.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Zoe, what was your first answer in prequel 1?

    ReplyDelete
  154. Morgana, read Zoe's answers. Maybe she meanwhile has knocked out herself in a face palm moment... ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  155. Zoe, read your last comment loudly. You won't have to read far!

    ReplyDelete
  156. level 1 color order - first letter of each word in text

    ReplyDelete
  157. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I would have gotten 8 faster if I thought that was a word!!!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Oh I'm so STUPID! I actually had to delete my last comment because I finally see how silly I am not to see the answer!

    Ouch - sore forehead!

    ReplyDelete
  160. meritneath - saying it out loud was the palm-to-forehead moment!!!

    ReplyDelete
  161. Holy crap - tomorrow is 60 levels!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Haha, funny when you know it, eh? But I wonder how someone could get that without any hints.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Lvl 2
I did not speak English, so less is the pronunciation, I try to listen to every word in the translator but it is almost impossible. I need a good help, because then I will not be able to continue. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  164. (face palm) got it!
Thanks guys for all the good hints!
    See you tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  165. meritneath - that's the truth! Very sneaky double meaning question!! Actually, starttofinish would have been a close hint, maybe!

    ReplyDelete
  166. came back bf'd the last 3 letters on level 8. The maze will have to wait until tomorrow.

great riddle - thanks S-T and Jon - and to Donas for being here today

    ReplyDelete
  167. Pichi, every picture shows something which is monosyllabic in English. If you say it loud, it will also spell a letter. Write those letters down, every row is a separate word, so you'll have four words which are the answer. Maybe that little boy is confusing if your English isn't good. Hint: What he's doing sounds exactly the same as that green little ball in the same row.

    ReplyDelete
  168. pichi: the first words are:

see, you, tea, and then E

say these out loud and make them into letters: spoiler below

    C U T E

    ReplyDelete
  169. btw - thanks so much Donas and meritneith. Of course I'd probably still be on level 1 if you weren't there!

    ReplyDelete
  170. meritneith Zoe thanks I keep trying, but the problem is not knowing the language

    ReplyDelete
  171. pichi: sorry, the first word is NOT see, it is sea (ocean)

    ReplyDelete
  172. @meritneith, great hint for 9 at 12:31. Although Beer to Whiskey would be more like it for me!

    ReplyDelete
  173. You're welcome, Zoe, but read the beginning of the page, mtatt100 had to help me a lot for level 1. That and the last one were the hardest for me.

And as always: I'll scratch your back, you'll scratch mine.

    ReplyDelete
  174. pichi - what is the problem? Not understanding the pictures?

    ReplyDelete
  175. Lol - if it took me this much time today, I think tomorrow's riddle will take me about five weeks to solve!

    ReplyDelete
  176. Zoe I understand the pictures, the problem is the pronunciation but I keep on trying. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  177. @pichi:

    1st word spoiled above.
    2nd word, a pet (animal).
3rd word, slang term for body part.
4th word, shortened term for image commonly used here in walkthroughs

    Hope that helps :)
I thought it must be the wrong answer till I saw the 'pic' for the next level

    ReplyDelete
  178. Pichi - I got level 2 by writing down the letters I knew with dashes for the others and then was able to guess words.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Need more hints for level 6 please.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Thanks all fro playing and congrats to all finishers.

Btw. almost 200 comments, so new comments will be on the next page.

Robin Rob, last letters this time.

    ReplyDelete
  181. for level 6 - look at title .. not always first things first. so maybe last things first? look at the last part of the ingredient list

    ReplyDelete
  182. great game !!!!!
i ll try the real game ,lets see how far i can get LOL
    Thank you all !
