4th Prequel to Small Strife is an easy (but a bit harder than the third), 9 levels, riddle based game created by SmallTool for EG24. While playing you learn (with the help of your fellow players) about the basic tricks used in riddle games. It's the last of four daily games to prepare you to play the real game coming this Friday. Good luck and have fun!

ReplyDeletetodd. All the answers begin with the same two letters. Then use the clue "the answer is on the table". (not the kind of table where you eat food.)
ReplyDeleteFor level 3, I know the letters but I don't know the name of the table.
ReplyDeletetodd, look for a table of elments :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donas727!
ReplyDeleteperiodic
ReplyDeletemore hints for level 8? binary converters come up with gibberish.
ReplyDeleteMore hints for 7. Found the mistakes.
ReplyDeletetodd - it's a musical term, the counterpart of bass
ReplyDelete@Robin Rob
ReplyDeleteI used this site:
http://home.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/
type in the 2nd box, see text in the 1st box. Remember to keep going in a spiral. It's rather tedious.
Robin Rob, to get the right binary to translate, you must follow the path like the picture shows
ReplyDeleteTodd, take the mistakes you found to granny
ReplyDeletelevel 8 was amazing
ReplyDeleteHad to leave for awhile but came back and had a POP for level 8, then read a hint for level 9 and am OUT!
ReplyDeleteThank you small-tool and jon! I confess, I only played a few levels of prequel 1 and then jumped here. Struggled a bit but had a great time! Some of those levels were just brilliant!
Hope I can sneak in some time tomorrow for the epic game!
Granny?
ReplyDeletetodd, granny means to anagram
ReplyDeleteCongrats Jo-Anne!
@Todd, granny is a reference to anagram
ReplyDeletebut you don't have to anagram level 7, the word is in the right order
A big Thank You to SmallTool for another job well done! Now, for tomorrow...........
ReplyDeleteI had to play late today, so missed all the live action :(
ReplyDeleteThanks again S-T & Jon for giving me so much enjoyment this week.
I'm looking forward to losing at least a week out of my life trying to complete all 60!!!! levels of the real deal.
In case someone comes on I will come back tomorrow but I cant do level 8. I got some code letters a -d -x - k the others just show a weird ? and foreign letters. Can someone leave a real answer? Please? And thanks.

ReplyDeleteThanks for this one small, and jon. Im embarrassed to admit i was stuck on lvl 1 for SOOOO long, even with all the hints. lol. Great fun once again.
ReplyDeletepenguin....i found the easiest way (after confusing myself a heap of times)....was to write it out by hand. i.e....do the first line as is, then...go down vertically...then back to the left along the bottom row...then up the left column.....and then right again on the second line...keep doing that till you reach the middle. Write them in groups of 8.
ReplyDeleteJust got level 9 with the hints - thanks again to S-T, Jon and all who left the great clues
ReplyDeletewas crazy @ work
ReplyDeleteIt sounds difficult
Will have to do the 4th prequel and the final over thwe W/E
Bet nobody's here but I can't get level 4 and it's really winding me up as I'm an English Lit teacher!
ReplyDeleteI don't know where to start. What does that sign mean? What author has 'horse's arse' in the middle of their surname?
Got it. It's forming the name of a novel by this writer. Piano key is A; opposite of on is off, toothpaste without the letters 'thepast', Oliver Hardy does what on this chair? Hope that's enough clues if you're stuck like I was.
ReplyDeleteHave read and understood the binary thing for level 8 but, hey, life's too short.
ReplyDelete(Wish you could skip a round and come back to the hard ones.)

ReplyDeleteLevel 6 made more sense when I realized that there is one letter missing; there should be ten letters in the answer - the 6th letter is missing.
