  1. @xaq: Good catch on how to arrange the letters, I didn't think of that. Still stuck, though.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'm still not coming up with a word on level 27, I have letters annggsi, and granny is coming up with nothing

    ReplyDelete
  3. @pink, not sure where the "s" came from, but thats the wrong letter

    ReplyDelete
  4. got level 27, had audrey hepburn's birthplace wrong

    ReplyDelete
  5. at a loss on 31. i see the first set of three letters. dont know where to look for the others.

    ReplyDelete
  6. 36: I used the numbers forward (and backward) to pick letters from the ordered list and still get nothing that works.

I'm missing something, but don't know what it is. Are we sure the list is correct?

    ReplyDelete
  7. on lvl29, are the red letters for letterpicking, ROT, or something else?
i know singer, song, animals, foods .. the obvious has yet to jump off the screen at me ..

    ReplyDelete
  8. I must have something mislabeled in my list, because regardless of which N-item I put in which spot, nothing I'm getting leads to a pile of letters granny can work with. :[

    ReplyDelete
  9. apologies .. those are red numbers on lvl29, not letters.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Unknow, use the red numbers to pick letters, use the weird song to tell you what to call the animals

    ReplyDelete
  11. Candi the list you posted was correct. I think you're missing a step. do the basic rue with your list, visit granny and then I think you'll be able to proceed

    ReplyDelete
  12. @donas, Thank you for the hint. With that much meat, i thought the answer might be barbeque, but no such luck.

Seriously, though, I found a four letter word that didn't. Am I on the right track?

    ReplyDelete
  13. nvm, figured it out .. used the wrong word for one of the animals

    ReplyDelete
  14. I can't figure out which weird al song to use?

    ReplyDelete
  15. pinkgirl, google the lyrics to find the orginal

    ReplyDelete
  16. halfway done and calling it quits for the night, thx for all the help

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Cee Bee: The light came on!

I visited Granny with my first letters and got a word that is more appropriate for the list (i-------s). So I rearranged my list.

I applied the numbers to this new list and got nothing that works.

I found the people the word indicated, arranged them according to the pattern of both words (t---v----- and i-------s), used the numbers, visited Granny, and still have nothing.

    I feel so close!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Candi, just use them clockwise in the order you see them

    ReplyDelete
  19. lvl30: are we to cut up the image and reassemble it much like the triangle with the question on it from earlier level? That's kind of what I gather from the earlier comments for this level.

    ReplyDelete
  20. unknown, no need to cut it. Do you know what B you need?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Still stuck on 36.

If I'm supposed to be going with a "pick the Nth letter of the word" method with those numbers, I can't be using the items in clockwise order; when I get to the 6, I'm on a 4-letter word.

In any case, no matter how I use this method, I'm not getting anything...am I supposed to be ROTting the words instead?

    ReplyDelete
  22. xaq, sounds like you are missing a step, did you anagram first letters of the items for a hint?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Donas: You mean Candi was on the right track with the i*******s idea?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes xaq, Candi's on the right track

    ReplyDelete
  25. @donas - i thought i knew, from a mathematical point of view, but seeing as all the other puzzles have been deceptive, im not sure at this point

    ReplyDelete
  26. AH! I think I got it now! *tries answer he comes up with*

YES!! Thanks guys! On to 37!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks to y'all, I finally got it!
    /(^.^)/ |(^.^)| \(^.^)\

    ReplyDelete
  28. @xaq: Haha! We got it at the same time! :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't suppose you've got any ideas of what to do with 37, Candi?

Also, for everyone else: Is the spiel inside the +/- actually as useless as it claims? (I hope so, because I can barely read it!)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Unknown, it isn't what it looks like, find a way to "feel it"

    ReplyDelete
  31. @xaq, no the text in the pic is not important

    ReplyDelete
  32. @xaq:
Sadly, I threw my remaining brain cells at it and got nothing.

So I'm going to bed :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks Morgana. However, I think Candi's got the right idea...I'll pick this one up after class and homework tomorrow.

    G'night everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  34. lvl 33 make me headache.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @donas - thank you. wasn't what i was originally thinking .. obviously another deceptive puzzle.

    glad to be past it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Stuck on 32. I see 9 letters with different possibilities, but must be missing something.
    Are lowercase letters allowed?

    Any hints?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Pinhead,
It's not an anagram and there's a logic way why which of the tree top lines go on a letter and why another of the top lines goes on another letter.
    Starts with F

    ReplyDelete
  38. What about on lvl 34, granny baked me a cake but still nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Level 34 is no anagram
    It's all about the alphabet.
There are two kind of letters in the alphabet (a big group and a small group).

    ReplyDelete
  40. I feel like a complete numbskull, but honestly I have'nt got a clue about lvl 25. Ive tried converting times to alphabet using both a 12 hour time thing and a 24 hour time thing. Ive tried to make letters out of the hands of the clocks. Ive tried to find something in the title or text because it mentions first a couple of times. I think my brain packed up and left in fear of doing another level of small's riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  41. clio_rose, you have to use numbers but not in time mode, just single digits. And after you get a word, think rebus and google.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thank you Morgana. I will work on that. .........if only i knew what you meant...lol. just joking. I will think some more. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Still stumped by lvl 32. Am I right in looking for a word of 9 letters?

last letter can only be: s
The one before last: g or y
    2nd, 3rd and 5th: a o b n
    6th: m w

    ReplyDelete
  44. PinHead,
Already said the first is F.
    The second letter is A.
Now try to see the logic if you look at the three lines on top.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks ST!

My problem was not noticing that D looks like O!!!

    On to 33!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is the letter "f" on the same place as the letter "e" in the original word cage or the order can change? Because i only got an lvl 40 egg #1with what i came up with and now i am stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Zoran, you need to know why E=F, what position is E in the alphabet?

    ReplyDelete
  48. 37: I think I get how to add and subtract, but I'm not getting anything from Granny with the letters. I've tried additions only, subtractions only, both, alternating.... nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thank you Morgana. Finally understood your hint and what a good hint it was. Thank you again. On to 26.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Candi,
Don't use all the letters at once with Granny. It's a two words word.

    ReplyDelete
  51. With just subtractions (or additions), I got a 2- and 4-letter word. But they didn't work.

I'm just not seeing how to pick the right groups of letters to send to Granny.

    ReplyDelete
  52. You should get two 5 letter words

    ReplyDelete
  53. Candi, if you've added and subtracted right, top will give a word and so will the bottom

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hmm... I'd tried every combination of the 3 words I'd gotten and none of them worked.

They were m---d from the top, and m---d or t---d from the bottom.

The adding and subtracting seemed so straightforward. Maybe I did it wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  55. The very first letter you should get by adding would be an i

    ReplyDelete
  56. I am stuck in the cage.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Zoran,
E is the Fifth letter in the alphabet.

    ReplyDelete
  58. OMG. i was totally over thinking...again. Tnx

    ReplyDelete
  59. Candi, first try converting each word to numbers

    ReplyDelete
  60. lvl 34:
I tried taking the matching C and V's with the title, and even the mismatching ones to no avail.
All I get is a goo of letters.

Hints (other than what C and V stand for)?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I am really stuck on 34, i know what c and v stands for in the basic alphabet, just cant figure out how to apply it to get an answer,

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh wow! Thanks! My thinking was in an entirely different direction :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. for level 34, once you know what C and V stand for, count for a position

    ReplyDelete
  64. Still stuck on 31. That's where it probably ends for me, i'm a bit braindead now:). I made it halfway with a lot of help from all your hints, thanks all. The next half is probably out of my league.
Thank you small-tool for this great riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Dutchie, hope you decide to continue. For 31 look only at the title of the text in the picture, the 3 lines give 3 letters using M**** C***,
then in the same place, first things first for 3 more letters

    ReplyDelete
  67. Lvl 36... I arranged my words to get t--- v---- and also i-------s and when i tried applying the numbers on both, i keep getting letters that granny can't work with, and I have a feeling I am missing something really simple

    ReplyDelete
  68. I am a latecomer to the riddle and would appreciate a hint for lvl 17 I know which levels to look back at but not sure what to look for when I do thanks

    ReplyDelete
  69. Zoran for level 36, order the I*******s just like they are on the circle, start at 12 and go CW

    ReplyDelete
  70. ladysue, if you have the right numbers, use the titles

    ReplyDelete
  71. Zoran,
t--- v---- anagrammed is the same as i-------s (double hint for the same thing)
Google/find them and then use your numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  72. That is what I did and got 8 letters but cannot get a word from them am I on the wrong track thanks

    ReplyDelete
  73. Ladysue,
You should get 6 letters and it's not an anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  74. S/T and Donas, thanks to both, got it!

    ReplyDelete
  75. good evening all, an after dinner dip is spoiling my progress. Don't get what/where to count on lvl 34. Know what c v means.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ike, maybe separating the C and V will help you see what to pick

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ike,
    Interpret CC as second C.
    Etc.

    ReplyDelete
  78. well, that did it ! Thank you both

    ReplyDelete
  79. tfsf, nor tosf work on the cage, am i using the right basic method?

    ReplyDelete
  80. rds665,
By now you should know about granny :P

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thankyou for the help on 17 I had a senior moment and was using the wrong levels duh!

    ReplyDelete
  82. i need granny on 35 s-t?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yep rds665,
You already have the correct 4 letters.

    ReplyDelete
  84. got it as soon as i posted, thanks s-t

    ReplyDelete
  85. 38: I've stared, pondered, visited Granny, and can't get a foothold. Hints?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Candi, there is a big hint that you can read down the right side. You need to make 2 new grids using that, they will have 9 rows, then the yellow letters give a hint for how to read your new grids

    ReplyDelete
  87. @Donas, the grids... do both grids have 9 rows each or they have 9 rows together? I simply cant wrap my mind around it, though I see the hint but... i cant go anywhere from that point

    ReplyDelete
  88. Zoran, both new grids will have 9 rows, bee sure to feel your way through making them

    ReplyDelete
  89. Zoran,
You should get 2 grids both with 9 rows.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Wow. Um...
The hint seems to imply a certain cipher. If I exclude the letters from the hint, I can use that cipher to make a grid with those letters. But what of the question marks?

I'm still not sure that I see it... (pun intended)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Crap, now I gotta catch up to Candi again.

I think I get S-T's hint on the first line's first word converting to an I, though. When I tried the method I suspect is correct on the rest of the first line, the 5 letters I got spell out a body part.

Now to see what I get with the second line going the other way.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Candi,
You can do the same with the questionmarks as you did with the letters!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hehe, nailed it! Thanks for the help, S-T. Now let's see if I can get ahead of Candi here. :]

    ReplyDelete
  94. i must not have the correct words on 36, can someone please tell me what the beaker is supposed to be, and what the elastic face is supposed to be, cause the i........ s i found arent working

    ReplyDelete
  95. I tried to make 2 grids using the letters from the hint, and I did but putting letters and question marks in.. I literally can't see how to do it or make any sense out of it

    ReplyDelete
  96. @rds665:

I didn't get the face either. I used a ? with Granny in it's place. But the beaker picture will give you a very specific form of the substance. Just google the generic one and you'll get what you're looking for.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Zoran,if you re talking about 36 ,do you read smt (4th column),its a hint !

    ReplyDelete
  98. Well, I've got the grids put together for 37...not seeing how the yellow letters are supposed to help me read this, though.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I think we are all talking about lvl 38 :p
I have problems with how to put the letters in, i see the hint and everything, and made the grids but it doesnt make any sense

    ReplyDelete
  100. rds, elastic works and try to cut the pics for googling ,if you dont know how to do it ,i can tell you what it is (hard for me to describe how to do it )

    ReplyDelete
  101. any push in the right direction on how to even start on lvl 37 is very welcome.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Err, yeah, Zoran's right, 38. My mistake. X_x;;

    ReplyDelete
  103. for 38 there are 2 hints ,4th column says about B...... and the yellow letters say TWO

    ReplyDelete
  104. for 37, convert the letters

    ReplyDelete
  105. ike: You've got 2 math symbols in the image, and 2 lines of poetry(?) in the text.

Try applying the old letter/number substitution idea to things, then apply what's in the picture to what you get.

As S-T said earlier, you (and granny) should get 2 5-letter words. The first letter you should get in the first row is i.

    ReplyDelete
  106. i have tried that candi, but for some reason google cant find a matching picture of glass beaker or the liquid in it.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Do I need to include the 4th column in the grids I made, or is that there merely as a clue?

    ReplyDelete
  108. @xaq - thx gonna try something

    ReplyDelete
  109. rds, its nylon

xaq,you need all the letters !

    ReplyDelete
  110. @rds: It's a beaker containing aliphatic polyamides discovered in 1935 ;)

@xaq: I left off the last column, but don't know if it's right...

@new: Two, like, two letters can be read across?

    ReplyDelete
  111. I gotta refresh before writing :)

My idea doesn't work if we need all the letters...

    ReplyDelete
  112. Wait! Do we use the other B alphabet?

    ReplyDelete
  113. I think this is it for me. Everything has been clear until now but I don't think I can continue, my brain shut down.

Good job S/T, you made an amazing riddle and thanks everyone for your help throughout.

    It has been fun. :)

    ReplyDelete
  114. TWO is hinting to use the other B

    ReplyDelete
  115. Stuck in 20
I read the tracks of this forum, but I still do not understand how to count. Anyone can help me? Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  116. candi, TWO smt very often used in riddles (base) but first you need to have changed the letters (1st hint)to B......

    ReplyDelete
  117. Hello everyone!
I've been solving this awesome riddle but didn't bother to ask questions up until now... I am stuck on lvl 38 badly, and after reading all your comments... Everything is still a blur. Desperate for help

    ReplyDelete
  118. pichi, for 20, same method as on 19 ,but different (rot)for every letter, use the words of the text

    ReplyDelete
  119. for 38, we usually convert the B..... alphabet to english letters ,here the opposite is needed (thats for starting, when you do this smt else is needed)

    ReplyDelete
  120. for 38, after you have applied the "two" hint, then look at the placement of the yellow letters and remember level 32, you only need 3 letters from the top and 3 from the bottom

    ReplyDelete
  121. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  122. For 38.
You make a new grid with the last column hint.
Then the TWO is used. How? Did you notice on your new grid the rows are 8 long now? Does that ring a bell combined with 2.
You will get 6 letters from the new grid you made. Yep only 1 letter from every 3 rows you made from a letter. Which row from every 3? Use logic.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Okay, I must be on the wrong track here.

Took the letters, made a grid by converting them to B*****e, even the question marks.
Then I took each row of what I ended up with and converted that to B****y, and tried converting that to text.

I ended up with total gibberish.

    ReplyDelete
  124. lvl 37 after I find the two words, do I have to use the same method again?

    ReplyDelete
  125. new: but with the number of jumps of 19? or I have to count anything here?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yahooooooooo!

We should have a party after 38!

I actually feel my brain getting stronger w/ all this work :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. Pichi,
    Count letters in every word.

    Xaq,
You're on the right track for sure.
It's just not every row you need.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yeah, I just realized that after reading your post. I tried a little logic on it, and wound up with a name I recognized, answered the question on the bottom, and nailed it!

    On to 39!

    ReplyDelete
  129. pichi ,use the words of the sentence, how many letters each one has

ike, not sure which 2 words you mean ,if you ve done what the pic says you have the answer (2 words)

xaq,not all the rows to b....y ,notice that the letters are separated in groups 3 rows each, small-tool has posted a comment above very helpful

    ReplyDelete
  130. oops too late , congrats !

    ReplyDelete
  131. Thanks new and small-tool Done!

    ReplyDelete
  132. There's only one thing that's unclear. Am I supposed to change every letter in the picture to b-----e or just the letters from the hint?
Got a little bit lost in all the comments, my brain is overheating slowly

    ReplyDelete
  133. syl, all the letters to b.....e

    ReplyDelete
  134. Syl Vardainiel,
    Every letter.

    ReplyDelete
  135. lvl 39: is the upside down flag significant?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Oh god that was intense!
    Finally! Onward! :))

    ReplyDelete
  137. For 39, would anyone be so kind to give me a link to the picture? There's no way I can see it.

    ReplyDelete
  138. lvl39 (again): b****y isn't working this time

Tried first things first on several word groups, granmaa doesnt seem to want to help. Anyone have a subtle hint? (or maybe not so subtle)?

    ReplyDelete
  139. Pic level 39

    http://i.imgur.com/OqoSwXn.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  140. if anybody is experiencing no pic then just open the pic in a new tab and replace lower case letters with capitals

    ReplyDelete
  141. Unknown,
Level 39 is about picking letters. One from every word.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Still stuck on level 3
    Have them all across
Dont know what initials to use
    Help!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Joe M,
Use Granny with the first letters of their names.

    ReplyDelete
  144. AARGH!
    Got it with grannys help
Forgot that there were 2 in the boat on each trip!
This does not bode well for the next 57 questions....

    ReplyDelete
  145. Hopelessly stuck on lvl 8. Got the letters ammotwcst but I can't figure out which ones are wrong and why! Please help.

    ReplyDelete
  146. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Holy,
One M, one T and the C is wrong.
But if you follow the text order it's no anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  148. @s-t: it is an 8 letter answer, isnt it?

I see a hint in the list of words provided, but that wasnt the answer, so I used that word as a clue to other sets of words - not finding anything that works.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Unknown,
    You're on the right track.
It is 8 letters and no anagram
Look at first letters and you know how to pick letters.

    ReplyDelete
  150. So I should be looking for silent letters, not British words?

    ReplyDelete
  151. Sorry Holly,
I messed up. That was for level 16.
But bookmark it, you can use it there :)

    ReplyDelete
  152. @s-t: thats what i tried. i got "F" as first letter the first time, and "L" the second time, neither of which seems to make anything valid.

Trying another approach. We'll see if it works.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Unknown,
    Don't translate!
    First letter should be B.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Should I be changing British terms to American terms?

    ReplyDelete
  155. @s-t: Thank you for the extra push in the right direction.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Stuck on 7 now
    S-T This is awesome
I will be 600 when i finish but what a great job!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Thanks, s-t, got it by guessing after I got the last 4 letters.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Thanks Joe and glad you like it :)
The word US in the text is with caps as a hint.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Have the 3 states with 4 X s in them stuck on the ooo is a conversion!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Joe,
Text tells you, you only need two out of the three :)
With the correct two you have 3 O's that you have to make an A and then granny.

    ReplyDelete
  161. lvl 40: i dont see any clues yet - is anyone else this far, or further?
nothing obvious comes to mind, although it looks like the symbols should be cut up and rearranged. any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  162. Thought I had trhe states but I was wrong

    ReplyDelete
  163. @Unknown:

I got the first egg and am back to the drawing board.

    ReplyDelete
  164. @candi, whereabouts did you find this egg?

    ReplyDelete
  165. Unknown, for level 40, each of the symbols gives a letter, some are written in unusual ways, some have parts missing, the upper left is an ancient alphabet, try a few things and see what you get

    ReplyDelete
  166. Level 8
I am English but live here in the US
    FINALLY
    an easy one for me
    Not even granny needed

    ReplyDelete
  167. Check the images on Red Luth's page and you'll pick out the first two.

The next one I googled something along the lines of "code alphabet" or "cipher alphabet" and among the images I found something that looked like the third. (A visual way of representing a code we know.)

I just flat stared at the last one till I counted and realized what I had.

Sent all this wonderful work to Granny, plugged it into the box w/ a feeling of triumph, and got a big fat goose egg :)

  178. Unknown: If you've done the bottom left on 40, the one above it should be easy - same principle

You shouldn´t find a number, but numbers.
