  1. So much for crossing my fingers; I have no idea WHAT to make of this! O_o;

  2. xaq: look for the codes/ciphers that the symbols represent, you've seen some before, but maybe not all and maybe in a slightly different way - Red Luth is your friend

  4. what am i missing on 41? i found the path out, but that isnt working, am i supposed to add something else?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Started this yesterday and am stuck on 19. I know everybody is way past that level but previous hints just aren't sinking in for me. Put KEY in solver, counted correct to wrong (3,7,6,1,6...) still don't understand?

    ReplyDelete
  6. 43: Found em all. Tried em all. Visited Granny with various letter combinations.

    Nuthin.

    ReplyDelete
  7. @rds: Think about what it's telling you to do ;)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Rds: what path did you find? It should tell you what you need to know.

    ReplyDelete
  9. ty ceebee, i swear i tried that lol, now it works

    ReplyDelete
  10. Farmwife did you miss a number at the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Candi: All those things you found are red herrings. Counting at the ends of what you found is what is needed.

    ReplyDelete
  12. thank you LinR - yes I sure did miss a number 7 - but I still have no idea what I'm doing with these - I use the solver to pick those letters and I get HDHGBG... I'm overthinking or probably thinking

    ReplyDelete
  13. @jbg: I see the word at the end of the things, but it didn't work

Do I count like I did on lvl 42?

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Candi: No, not like 42. You don't need the word at the end of the things, but the "positions" of the letters in that word at the end is important.

    ReplyDelete
  15. need help on level 31, does it have to do with sign language

    ReplyDelete
  16. Farmwife are you applying the each number to the proper ROTten letter.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks Cee Bee. Found the top 2 symbols on 40, but the other two are still escaping me. :[

    ReplyDelete
  19. @jbg: I tried sums and letters, but couldn't make a word. I tried letters -> numbers -> counting and still couldn't make a word...

    ReplyDelete
  20. xaq. Try looking at some types you have used before in a different way.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Pinkgirl: not sign language, think of another one that is suggested by the last bit of the text. You can also find quite a few hints for this level in earlier comments.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Candi: try counting from the top. don't start over each time. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thank You LinR - finally saw the correct way (also helps when you replace the correct letter) sheesh!

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Pinkgirl: no it is not sign language. You need the code you can hear.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Think I got the bottom symbol, but the middle one's still eluding me.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @xaq: What would it look like unrolled?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think its morse code, but still not getting anywhere on level 31

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oooooh...thanks Candi.

I think I may need to rethink the bottom symbol, though. On top of using the same method as the top-left symbol, I'm pretty sure there's no word granny and I can form from RFOV.

    ReplyDelete
  29. nevermind, I guessed and got it

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, I found out what I was doing wrong...aaaand now I have egg on my face. XP

    ReplyDelete
  31. And now I've got even MORE egg on my face! Darn you, S-T! XD

    ReplyDelete
  32. @jbg: I know your hints are good, but I'm just not seeing it. I feel like I've counted and considered the position of everything in the words and alphabet, but Granny's giving me no joy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Candi: sorry, I must be not very clear in my hints. Cont the number of spaces on the right side from the top to the ends of the words you found.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @jbg: Thanks! Your hints were good, it was my perception that was dull :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Okay, I've wiped the eggs off my face, but I'm a bit stumped on what's going on. Am I looking for something else back on the main part of 40, or something on the eggshells?

    ReplyDelete
  36. xaq look at the tools you've used so far. Remember the basics and I think you'll move forward

    ReplyDelete
  37. AH! Now I get it. Thanks yet again, Cee Bee.

Now on to-- *sees 41* ...eep.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Found the egg on 44. Thought I could use the numbers to help me on my way. No joy. So, I did the work. The third on the top and first on the bottom aren't coming together. And I can't see anything in the paths taken (well, there are some hazy letters, but nothing I would take to Granny with confidence...)

    ReplyDelete
  39. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  40. a little help on 44, got to the egg, but my numbers arent spelling out anything now.

    ReplyDelete
  41. lvl 40: I'm still not sure about second part of egg, even after looking at it for the last couple of hourss and reading the hints. i know which tools ive used so far, but basics are not getting me any decent answers.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Unknown: You've got your tools, right? Well then, first things first...

Anyway, question of my own on 41: Does the answer involve counting my steps at all?

    ReplyDelete
  43. @xaq: it is a 4 letter word, correct? 4 tools, 1 for each of the symbols?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Unknown: 5 letters. You used a 5th one to get to the 2nd egg.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @xaq: Walk the path again, and do what it tells you to do ;)

@Cee Bee: I still don't see anything spelled out by the path. The path is too long to translate. And the unvisited places don't spell out anything either. Also, I'm really struggling to collect everything on 3 and 5. Seems like too many one way streets...

    ReplyDelete
  46. xaq... on 41 take it literally what you read while walking through

    ReplyDelete
  47. @xaq: ... but im still looking for the second egg. Earlier clue said to use the whole picture, which seems to use a 5th tool, but none of my answers seem to be working. Trying again to see if i missed something.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh geez...it's level 25 all over again. XP

    On to 42, then.

    ReplyDelete
  49. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Unknown: using the whole picture involves an "unseen" but very commonly used cipher method - several times already in this riddle. Hope that helps?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I have the paths (well, 3 and 5 are missing a coin), and I almost see an 'e', but the others aren't really clear...

    ReplyDelete
  52. @rbud - thank you. that wasnt the tool i was working with . youd be surprised what other tools apply

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well, I guess that's it for me. Goodnight, lvl 44.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm actually on 44, too, Candi, but not getting very far. Will try to leave a hint if I have a major breakthrough.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Found all the paths on 43, and I saw jbg's clue earlier...not getting it, though.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @xaq: lvl43, use the hints given previously:

start at top of last column and count, marking the position of each letter. do not restart your count. those positions should make you a new word (with a little help from Granmaa)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Ah, no wonder I wasn't getting it...I'd tried that method earlier, but must've miscounted somewhere.

    Thanks for the boost, Unknown.

Anyway, found the egg on 44, think I'm gonna call it a night...not in the mood for sokoban right now.

    ReplyDelete
  58. lvl 36. I can't make anything out of the surnames:
    R*********, S********, P*******, C********, Z*******, C*****, D*******, H***, M******

    ReplyDelete
  59. @pinhead: if these are the surnames related to the items in the pictures, then starting at the top (12 oclock position), the surname should be N********* as i recall. check the posts in the 601-800 block for some really good hints.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @Unknown:
The 12 o'clock surname is Ru******** and does not start with N.
I think my problem is in some of the surnames.

    ReplyDelete
  61. lvl 36: The surnames turned out to be:
    N*********, D*****, P*******, C********, Z*******, C*****, H???, H***, M******
I had to use a wilcard for the 7th
    On to lvl 37!

    ReplyDelete
  62. am stuck way back on 19 and honestly having a brain freeze on it, no matter how I count Im just getting gibberish

    ReplyDelete
  63. am i missing something on the egg at 44 i get o.. l..d, but that isnt working, am i missing a step at the end somehow?

    ReplyDelete
  64. 44 use something to go with it

    ReplyDelete
  65. thanks mtatt, got it with your post.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I've been stuck on 44 for a long time now and can't see the way out. Does it have to do anything with sokoban or there's some other method that I am completely unaware of?

    ReplyDelete
  67. 44 about basic riddling syl, counting

    ReplyDelete
  68. Syl, do you have the egg?

    ReplyDelete
  69. you need to find an egg to explain for 44 try something basic abc

    ReplyDelete
  70. I actually got it the first time but misspelled. Oh lol. Now i have the egg!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Lvl 44, we meet again.

I have been staring at these paths, trying to make out letters for some time. I've been Granny's w/ more ?s than letters. I've also tried to apply the numbers from the egg.

Am I going in the right direction?

    ReplyDelete
  72. can someone give me a push in the right direction for 45 please.

    ReplyDelete

  74. Candi,
Find the shortest paths possible, count those steps and do the easy math with the given numbers.

    rds665,
One path from entrance to exit is the correct path, but some other correct paths will give you hints how to deal with that correct path.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Found the paths on lvl 44, counted the steps, did the math, got the letters and tried everything to make a word out of it. Granny doesn't help, and one particular letter is making everything sound gibberish. Tried finding another path for that letter but nope, nothing seems to be working.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Syl Vardainiel,
Looks like you found the correct letters (especially because you found an odd letter out, that was a red herring for brute-forcers thinking the 5th grid is too hard and I just guess the right letter there).
Anyway, did you notice the dots in red are changed a bit compared to the level?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hello everyone. I stuck on lvl 1. Please help.

    ReplyDelete
  78. 5806a, for line 1, keep the W, then look at the colors? find a way to convert V 50 l00

    ReplyDelete
  79. @ST:
lvl 44: I can't see the dots in red on my monitor in the egg level. Are they ** ****?

    ReplyDelete
  80. PinHead,
That's how they are on the level. On the egg it's
    *** ****

    ReplyDelete
  81. small tool, i found 3 paths without fail, and tried counting spaces and letters, can i have a little more of a hint please on 45, how many letters am i looking for etc.

    ReplyDelete
  82. 44: Still stuck. I've redone the path on two, but I'm still not getting it. The top four spell a word. The first and third on the bottom give the same letter (that pairs perfectly with the second), but they not Granny-friendly.

    ReplyDelete
  83. candy as mtatt told me, 2 words on level 2 words on egg add them together.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Rds look at the letter at your start point and see how it can help you count

Candi sounds like all you letters are correct except maybe the one bottom middle - it should granny - what do you have

    ReplyDelete
  85. Candi: don't forget Small-Tools post at 8:54 - you're looking for 2 words

    ReplyDelete
  86. 44: first row gives an actual word but, like Candi said, the bottom row is not cooperating with granny at all. There are 2 same letters, first and third.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Syl Vardainiel,
Looks like you have all the correct letters. But an anagram solver won't help much because you don't know which 4 or 3 to put in there. It's easier to anagram it yourself (a tiny bit of trial and error) to make a 3 and 4 letter word out of those 7.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Syl Granny all the letters

    ReplyDelete
  89. @Cee Bee: I have a q, which wasn't scary, till I had two copies of his helper :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Gah! I thought I had it, if my q were an o and one of the u's were a y. No good.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Donas, thank you for the hint for level 31. Got it finally.
Will continue the almost impossible task to get to no. 60.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Candi there's a shorter path for the bottom middle - your other letters sound correct

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yipee! On to 45!

    Thanks to all!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. lvl 45:
Went from start to end with counting and got 2 rhyming words. Now what?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Level 26
I see a word repeated, but I can not find the right direction to select letters. Any hint?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I'm finding quite a lot of odd things on level 46, but can't see anything helps me move forward - can I have a hint please

    ReplyDelete
  97. Pinhead, something on the level - perhaps the text - will tell you what to do with what you found

    ReplyDelete
  98. lvl 45: the next part is needed :)
    On to lvl 46!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Thanks Donas, lvl2

    ReplyDelete
  100. CeeBee, try reading from the top, maybe some of those odd things will start to make sense

    ReplyDelete
  101. Pichi, try googling the words on the pic, you should find something to help

    ReplyDelete
  102. dutchie, glad to see you back!

    ReplyDelete
  103. good evening, on lvl 39, do I have to translate the words first?
because the 2nd word e.g. has many possibilities . Not sure what to do next.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ike, translating may help give you what you need, but the translations aren't needed

    ReplyDelete
  105. i have tried counting all the steps all the letters, and coming up with nothing on 45, and for some reason i dont understand the comment about the beginning letter having significance, a little help please :(

    ReplyDelete
  106. @donas, got it now, was a bit confused (as usual) and didn't count the correct way.

    ReplyDelete
  107. rds, try converting the beginning letter to a number, then find a letter that is that many steps away, just keep repeating that process with each letter you find

    ReplyDelete
  108. @rds: try to hop from the starting letter, using a basic rule for number of steps, to land on the next letter.

    ReplyDelete
  109. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  110. lvl 46: Is it related to a programming language?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Pinhead,
    Nope.
    Don't overthink, just read.

    ReplyDelete
  112. thank you, thank you , thank you finally moving on to 46

    ReplyDelete
  113. That was easy :)
    Onto lvl 47!

    ReplyDelete
  114. 46: I have to be overthinking. Am i looking for a synonym?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Given what I've found and read, I'm literally stuck.

    Pun intended.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Candi, just read the maze

    ReplyDelete
  117. Candi,
There's a long sentence (longer than you think).
When found, read Donas her comment again.

    ReplyDelete
  118. s-t: Thank you for being tricky and consistent. Once I caught on, it was all there :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. lvl 42, I try to do what the path I found asks me to, but come up with no correct number.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Ike Do what the path tells you for each part along the way

    ReplyDelete
  121. Ike, start at the beginning and count to the next letter in the path that gives you the hint and leads out of the maze. Keep doing the same thing, then convert to letters

    ReplyDelete
  122. @Cee Bee, now I understand, thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  123. @Donas, just realized that, thanks again.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I need help in 28
I do these numbers letters, but I have nothing to rot

    ReplyDelete
  125. on lvl 44 egg, how many letters i have to combine, 7 or 14?

    ReplyDelete
  126. @pichi: You need to find the album that has letters that resemble how those numbers look.

    @5806: 7 letters

    ReplyDelete
  127. pichi , what would the colored numbers stand for ?thats what you rot

    ReplyDelete
  128. @5806: hmm, thought about it and I guess there are 14 numbers that will become 7 numbers in the end. Sorry if i confused you.

    ReplyDelete
  129. @jbg, you mean to combine letters from both answers?

    ReplyDelete
  130. new: sorry I do not understand what you say

    ReplyDelete
  131. @5806: yes you will need to combine both answers to get 14 letters in the end. Sorry, I am terrible at giving hints and I wasn't quite sure what you were asking. :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. pichi, in an album the name of the b...d is written like this

    ReplyDelete
  133. I'm still stuck on 44. I found the shorter route on the bottom middle maze (shaved 2 spaces off), and after adjusting as the egg indicates I can make a 3 & 4 letter word out of what I get, but that doesn't do it.

    ReplyDelete
  134. @xaq: if you have a 3 and 4 letter word then you have all you need. Don't forget about what gave you the egg though. :)

    ReplyDelete
  135. I am stuck on lvl 44, any hint for 3 or 4 letters word.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Pinhead,
If you've found the only correct path from entrnace to exit it confirms it's the right path.
Now look for hints to see what to do with what you found.
Sometimes the entrance is not the only way to go.

    ReplyDelete
  137. xaq, what you found is used with something else. Think level 44 egg's answer that you had found.

    ReplyDelete
  138. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Ah! That did it. Thanks PinHead!

    ReplyDelete
  140. I have found the correct path from entrance to exit, and gone through several wrong paths without noticing serious hints other than 'going ahead' and a few numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  141. PinHead,
Try to find some hints, by starting at the exit.
Btw. close to the bottom is a hint too that goes with those hints you will find.

    ReplyDelete
  142. From 14 letters I'v found over 200 words with 4 letters and over 150 words with 3 letters. How to find right ones?

    ReplyDelete
  143. s-t, on 47 i found the only path i can and it says fbop, what do i do with it? you said it tells you what to do with it, tried all words combined and seperate, getting no where.... what am i missing? another step?

    ReplyDelete
  144. 5806, the answer needs 4 words, the two egg words, and two new words after completing the maze (anagramed)

    ReplyDelete
  145. I found one hint and another that I am unsure of near the end. There is a 3rd hint near the bottom, but is that with a NOT or without (a* o****** i*******)?
It might be that the letters in the correct path are irrelevant?

    ReplyDelete
  146. rds, try looking for more helpful hints (but not a complete path) going back from the exit, also try to find a hint that reads all the way across a row near the bottom

    ReplyDelete
  147. I'm waaaaaay back on 34. I know what the C and V stands for, and I know that, for example CC means take the second C. But second C of what? The alphabet? The title? So far, neither approach gives me something that makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Pinhead,
The letters you found on the path are very important. You will need them.
Btw. the answer is not an anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  149. @zoz: lvl36 use the alphabet - youre on the right track. C V CCC ...

    ReplyDelete
  150. zoz, CC means pick the 2nd of the Cs

    ReplyDelete
  151. @donas, I now that, I got 2084 combinations from this 14 letters. I have no idea what the hell I am supposed to do.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Still need help on 25 - does the ALT key have anything to do with it? Can't tell what numbers to use from the clocks

    ReplyDelete
  153. Thanks @Unknown and new, I'll try 34 again!

    ReplyDelete
  154. I must be missing something on 46. I see a 7-word sentence on the top row, and a couple of words here and there (5 outside the sentence in total), but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Re: level 34, it helps a LOT to know how to count correctly (smack*)

    ReplyDelete
  156. 5806a etc,
You already have two words, that's how you found the egg. Don't change them anymore, just keep them as they are.

    Dr Linus,
The first clock would be 1+2=3

    ReplyDelete
  157. xaq, you need to continue that first part on the first line, there is a pattern to follow to complete the sentence, try looking at the 6th line, then keep finding more to add to it

    ReplyDelete
  158. @xaq: is the first line the only one you can read?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Dr Linus ,use the numbers you see ,but added, and then read

    ReplyDelete
  160. lvl 47: any other small hints? found same path as pinhead, but not sure how to apply

    ReplyDelete
  161. Unlnown,
Try to find a way to change those letters into other letters.
How? Hints are at the exit.

    ReplyDelete
  162. lvl47: i think i found a maze hidden in the maze! my poor eyes!

s-t, thank you for the hint. thought i found 4 numbers to use, but they dont seem to be helping. any other tiny hints you can give?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Thanks for help, I was typing wrong letter, again, again last hour.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Unknown,
    The numbers aren't important.
Find two short paths (starting at the exit) that will give you two (key)words.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I am so tired to continue. Good night everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  166. @s-t: the exit is on the right, correct?
i'm sure the hints are good ones - i think i need to take a break and try again in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  167. lvl47: really helps if i stop reading the maze backwards! *sigh*
i think i've got it now.

    ReplyDelete
  168. 48: I see the three messages. Should I bring another code to the party?

    ReplyDelete
  169. Candi,
If you already did two, no need for a third, be literal.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Um, I think I've tried everything literal available, but still no joy...

    ReplyDelete
  171. From the second one you found 3 words. Make your answer 5 words.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Maybe I didn't find the right three messages:
-Followed the directions and saw one message.
-Followed those instructions and found 7 words
-Working backward, found 5 words (which could be another instruction)

    ReplyDelete
  173. Candi, I didn't find anything backwards, the main path tells you two ways to use the maze to find a message, one of those messages should lead you out

    ReplyDelete
  174. Ps. I've been working this riddle so intently that I only just realized there's a new Tesshi-e!

s-t, take a bow. You made me forget about all other games for a several days (and at this rate, probably several more :)

    ReplyDelete
  175. small-tool, just to let you know, i am so involved in this riddle, i was anagraming and counting things in my dream last night ^^.

also, stuck on 47, i believe i found the sentence. but i just cannot figure out what to do even after reading all the other hints. :(

    ReplyDelete
  176. ahh!! you too huh candi! can ya give me a not so subtle hint? lol

    ReplyDelete

  178. level 47 is a rotten maze! Find the path through, figure out why the 4th row from the bottom is what it says it is, use your hint from the exit and count your way through the path

  181. 49: I know it's a rotten level, but I'm not sure how to implement the picture. Are there three or four parts indicated? Can they all be read the same way? (I hope that made sense.)

  182. lvl47: i believe i understand all the hints: rotten maze, path, hints from exit, 4th bottom row, but still having trouble putting 2 and 2 together (and yes, i know in this series of riddles that 2 and 2 probably equals triangle). someone be kind and toss out another hint: length of answer, first letter maybe? please??

    ReplyDelete
  183. @unknown: The answer is the same length as the message on your path(ie 14 letters). Have you figured the adjustment you must make to each? (Use the hints from the exit to get each, then do a little rotten math.)

  184. i am still stuck with you Unknown. i know everything i have to do, but i just dont get the two hints at the end or what the 4th bottom row even means to it all.

  185. @candi: am i correct in reading it as r** h****** or is it r** e**** at the exit? i've tried both ways - can't seem to make anything that looks like words.

  186. Candi, If I understand you right, there are five parts, and no they read in different directions

    ReplyDelete
  187. @Unknown and Butterfly: it's r-- h------. Think of how these apply to the elements on the path, and think of where a baseine might be ;)

  188. @butterfly - glad to know its not just me! :)

    ReplyDelete
  189. @candi - thats what i was working with, and when i tried the first few letters it gave me a starting letter of "j"** which doesnt seem right

  190. @Unknown: You can set your baseline in the middle, so the first element on the path has a zero deviation, if you catch my drift.

@Donas: Since I didn't know where to start on picking the correct letters (given the orientation options), I picked a set that made a word. But when I give them and the word to V-------, they won't go to Granny.

  191. Candi, the letters you get won't make a word, but all have something in common, I think I know what you mean with V-------, If so you need another, then granny won't be needed

  193. @candi: if this maze is as rotten as i suspect, the upper half deviations are mathematically different than the lower half, correct?

  194. Unknown, start at zero, and count up or down to 15
